“It is a monumental sculpture (720 x 144 in.) Consists of two parts: a marble replica of the semi-modernist house of my childhood enclosed in a cage in the form of a much larger house. This is opposed to a sleigh pulled by a mockingbird.”

GOLDEN BUTTERFLY, a lighting installation project by GRIMANESA AMORÓS (Peru-USA) ‘has as a conceptual base the visuality and the meaning of the emblematic Mariposa flower.’ This light sculpture is part of DETRÁS DEL MURO, the massive public art intervention in Havana’s Malecón and opens officially on April 14, 2019 at 5:00pm at the corner of Malecón & Galiano.

DAVID MAGAN (Spain) will present his monumental T3C36 as part of DETRÁS DEL MURO. ‘Monumental work specially conceived for public roads. It belongs to a series of works that are articulated from a structure of stainless steel tubes. In this case there are three frames that cross each other in each of the three dimensions. Suspended from the resulting structure are 36 spatially triangular planes of 4 elementary colors: orange, yellow, light blue and dark blue.’
