hey so for the character asks thing, what lead to your characterisation of cassus fett? also what got you interested in him initially?
oh BOY you have activated the Cassus Thoughts that are perpetually about half a millimeter below the surface of my brain. congrats! i never stop thinking about him!!! read-more because it got. um. long.
initially, he just kind of came to be because Revan needed an enemy to focus on that wasn't Mandalore himself, because i didn't want Revan and Mandalore meeting on the battlefield before, well, Malachor. honestly, a lot of his early characterization came from me looking at what Canderous said about the war in kotor (and k2 i guess. but i didn't play k2 until later lol) and going "...okay, this is a guy who's going to believe the same things, but he's also a strategist of Revan's caliber, and he's going to spend the entire war setting traps for her."
Mandalorian honor has always been the central part of his character for me! and the fun part was making all the war crimes fit within that framework. there's only one thing my Cassus holds more sacred than his honor, and that's his mand'alor, which creates some FASCINATING interactions with Revan when... he can order entire cities to be bombed, he can give the commands on Cathar and Serroco, he can and will use Alek to lure Revan into an impossible situation so she'll sacrifice her own men to save him! that's all fine! because, by the standards of the Mandalorians of his time, absolutely none of that is dishonorable!
he and Revan are very very much the same in many ways. and he knows this, and spends the entire three years of the war trying to get Revan to acknowledge it. and she does! finally! on Malachor, where she kills him in the first version of my kotor canon. a lot of that came from me talking with @azems-familiar; our Cassuses are effectively identical, and a lot of that early characterization came from me writing him as he is in my mando wars fic, and then Lee writing their mando wars fic and developing him even more, and it just kind of snowballed from there. they made him the initial Revan foil; my fic didn't quite get that far! (first draft, at least. it will be much more obvious when i edit it)
the second main aspect of his characterization is the loyalty, for which i entirely blame @tarrevizsla. they invented the initial characterization for Mandalore the Ultimate and it all went downhill from there, by which i mean they went "cassus/te ani'la" and the collective old republic hell server braincell activated to cement that forever into our worldview. it wasn't even on the horizon of my thoughts when i wrote bright burning. which is so funny to me now, because... it's so central to how i write Cassus! that loyalty is just as important, perhaps moreso, to him than his honor. in my timeline, he was twenty on Cathar, thirty-three at Malachor; he's spent most of his adult life in this war serving Mandalore, and most of that time as Field Marshal - and canonically, he was not only a genius tactician but hugely responsible for some of the most important changes the Mandalorians underwent at this point. and to do any of that, he had to have Mandalore's trust.
it's just so fascinating to me to explore this character who is barely mentioned in kotor (is he mentioned at all outside the flavor text of his armor and blaster??) but who had to have such a huge hand in shaping the war. he has some more appearances in the kotor comics, but the kotor comics are.... bad. they're very bad, and i ignore most of them. in that regard, his rank in my fics is a little different in practice to how it appeared in the comics; he is part of high command, but he's the only field marshal, not one of several (because... look. nothing about the ranks makes sense in canon, canon is fake, and Mandalore just handing out the position of marshal to a bunch of people to keep the piece makes no sense!!!).
that wasn't a deliberate rewriting of the comics, though. i figured out all the rank stuff for my universe way before i even touched the comics, which is why so much of my Mandalorian worldbuilding is just... vastly different. anything important i got from wookieepedia. again: the comics are fake, and if i don't look at them they don't exist. the sole exceptions are, like, three panels that live rent-free in my head. that's it.
uh. that went longer than i thought! hope that answered your question, and thank you so much for the ask! i'm so normal about him.

I neeeeeeeed Vander and Silco to put me in my fucking place (ignore if you don't like this request) but I'm telling you either poly or separate I need to be the biggest brat ever and then I want them to tell me DOWN BOY and I would bark FR AAAAAUGAHSHWSHSKKSKS I NEED THEM CARNALLY
Some brats take two
tw : man handling, being tied to a chair, slapping, hair pulling, light kicking, choking, spitting, wiping face in spit, fingers in mouth, biting, light blood mention, degredation, tearing clothes, mouthing clothed cock, masterbation, cumming on face/chest, being left hard.
character(s) mentioned : Silco x Vander x m!reader (arcane)
reader pronouns : he/him
summary : With him a long-time menace to both leaders of the undercity, they decide that for once working together might just put you in your place
a/n : This was so fun to write, i will admit i struggle to write brat reader so i hope this was enough! i hope you enjoy nonnie<3
It doesn't take long for the undercity to catch wind of him, 6 months of getting in the way, breaking rules, downright just irritating the mass of the undercity, no one who has tried yet has managed to even slow him down.
So it works its way up, through the ranks of the undercity until it's Vander and Silco's problem, seperately but still, they decide if he can cause such a ruckus they can manage to be civilised until he's dealt with.
Catching him was probably the hardest part, something about him. He blended into the shadows, appearing and disappearing like a pest that just couldn't quit
Silco is assured that he'll falter at some point, and vander feels like nothing is going to get him to slow down.
It takes some time, for the jabs and snide comments to stop, the men are more or less getting along when it happens. When something goes terribly wrong for just one specific irritant.
He falls, while running and jumping away from the small chaos below he falls, landing on the solid ground with a thud, the air leaving him and he lays there wheezing.
It's vander that finds him, chasing the shape that seemed to almost fly from the problem. Vamder almost tramples him, too used to looking up, but there he is, panting at the bigger mans feet. It's almost perfection, winded and essentially knocked out, travel is simple.
Vander carries him to silco's place. The two had realised silco would be in more danger at vander's tavern, so it was just the way things worked out.
He woke up easily enough, his wrists and ankles strapped tight to a chair, bound by some worn-out rope, tugging relentlessly but with no weak spots for him to use he just looked like a fool infront of the two men.
The two men watched him in amusement, Vander even letting out a snort at his pitiful attempt. It's Silco that speaks first.
"You have been quite the handful, thankfully though, we can use that as a reason to drag this out"
Vander doesn't say anything, but he does crack a smile, moving first to touch him, tugging his hair so that his head snaps up, the strain upwards to meet the larger mans eyes making his neck ache
Silco circles the chair like a hawk, walking slow and deliberate, kicking the chair a few times, the creek of wood on concrete and the footsteps being the only sounds. The realisation of no one hearing him scream makes something burn inside him.
Vander and Silco step back, letting his head fall back to a natural state. He takes his chance and spits, the glob landing grossly across Vanders chest.
The laugh that vander lets out is deep and riddled with something that isn't humour.
It takes less than two steps for him to be back where he was, grip not on his scalp but his neck, nails digging in a little too hard to be comfortable, cander raises his other hand, slapping him rough across the cheek, pulling him forward in his daze of shock so his sore and tender cheek is now covered in the cold wet from where his spit landed.
"You're disgusting, yknow that? a pain in our asses and even when you're stuck here, you dont mutter an apology"
Vander is mumbling, the words hot above you and all cruel, Silco watches blank faced, unsurprised at the turn out, walking simply to the side of the bound chair and slapping down on his inner thigh, its swift and it stings, he hits another 3 times, all on the same spot until it throbs and the yelp leaves his mouth despite being held back.
The first crack in the demeanour seems to make both leaders grin, enjoying this more than they expected, Vander moves his grip from the back of his neck to the front, his head falling back and resisting the grip, squeezing tight vander chokes him, making his eyes squeeze shut and his mouth open.
Silco takes advantage of it, two of his fingers slipping into the easy access opening. The intrusion fills his mouth till his lips are against the base of silco's fingers, and his throat feels a little too full to be comfortable
Vander releases his neck, the gasp of air not filling him enough with how his mouth is held open by the fingers, he bites down, hard, the skin breaking and the warm, slow trickle of blood fills his mouth and drips down his chin.
The only sign that Silco even feels the digging is the slight twitch of his mouth and the exhale of breath, but the fingers dont move, and only push a little harder making him choke and sputter around the digits.
Vanders belt hitting the floor makes his eyes break the contact he held with silco, the larger man removing his outergarments, so he's left in nothing but his worn in top and unbottoned pants.
Vander nods at silco and silco moves, an understanding between them unspoken as vander steps infront of him again, silco now stripping off to the side in a similar fashion.
Vander slaps him across the face, the other cheek now stinging with the familiar sensation, gripping his hair with one hand and a leg coming up to step just in front of his growing bulge vander laughs.
"I dunno why im surprised that you're enjoying this. it's perfectly in character for an attention seeking slut like yourself isnt it?"
the question is rhetorical, nothing but a twitch in your groin and the heat rushing to your face was needed for Vander to get the answer he wanted.
Vander moves away, tugging the t-shirt as he goes, the fabric laying useless against the bound body in front of him.
He lays there useless, blood on his chin, shirt open and still strapped spread, his bulge on display for anyone who looked, and Silco and Vander looked.
Both men watched him, enjoying the mess that he was after leaving messes across their territory for months it felt only fair that they made him remember just how messy it can be.
The pair of them weren't hard yet but it wasn't difficult to change that, silco took his head and spoke
"Now I've learned we can't trust you not to bite, so we'll just have to find other ways to use this pathetic body of yours, won't we? i mean, you couldn't even run away properly. What a useless mess"
Silco doesn't elaborate. Simply gripping his jaw and holding it open, using the grip to force his head down, his back curving uncomfortably till his open mouth is lined up with Silco's clothed cock, with a pull Silco makes it so he is pressed against the open heat, using the grip on his jaw to move it, as though all he was to Silco was a toy to fuck.
the fabric dampens and becomes uncomfortable to press against quickly, but it does nothing to deter silco, his eyes stay focused on him and how the spit gets across his cheeks and down his chin, moving him carelessly so theres even some on the tip of his nose.
After soiling the boy, Silco pulls away barely half hard but thoroughly entertained as he strips the damp pants and tugs his boxers down, both Silco and Vander stood like that.
He doesn't know when vander stripped more or when the man had started to touch himself at the sight of him being humiliated, but Vander was, and it clearly worked as he was hard.
Vander takes Silco's place, knowing better than to trust a mouth that bites so he simply stands directly in front, continuing to move his hand, acting as though he wasn't sitting there but at the same time staring as though he was the only reason Vander might cum
Silco steps in beside Vander, both of their cocks infront of him, hands touching themselves and eachother, while they touched their own cocks, they let their other hands wander across eachother.
Vqnder holding the small of silco's back, fingers squeezing around the smaller waist and Silco leaning into vanders chest, eyeing him as though he was dirt, despite how his hand moves a little quicker whenever they lock eyes.
With both of them so close yet too far, his cock strains in the only fabric he wears that isnt torn, his face is covered in drying spit and blood and his body aches from being tugged and slapped and straining against the binds that still hold him tight.
He almost cracks, his body hurts and he's desperate, tears well in his eyes and thats when it happens.
Vander cums first, he had been going longer than Silco, cumming in spurts that cover his chest and collarbones, the splash landing up across his jaw, mixing with the mess of fluids he's covered in. The grunts Vander makes sounding gutteral as he tilts his head down into silco's hair
Silco follows soon after, vanders hand taking over his own, tugging the cock like he knew it with his eyes closed, the cum going higher, splattering across his cheek and nose, some going as high as his forehead, silco bites back any sounds but the way his body shakes from the orgasm shows the way it takes over him.
They recover silently, touching each other in passing as they dress, silco wearing a fresh pair of pants, leaving the soiled ones on the concrete, a hot reminder of what happened now that the two are untossled
Leaving him there is cruel, but its just to them, vander leaves with silent words of a repeat. Silco doesnt bother answering him with words and waves the larger man away with his hand, Now the two of you.
Silco gives you a once over with his eyes and curls his lip.
"Disgusting, ill have someone dispose of you later, we wouldn't want you thinking a reward would come of your bratty behaviour"
and he leaves. The door slammed behind him, left alone bound, damp in fluids, and hard in your pants. You learned a lesson, but not the one they wanted.
You would be back for sure.

Some paz vizsla x sith male reader?
Paz Vizsla x Sith male reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
Because of my love for fanfic and the Kotor games, theres a lot of headcanosn in this. I will find a way to involve Revan when I can, so he’s also there, in the background. Theres also a single Revan x Canderous mention.
Theres so much about Kotor in this, it really took a life of its own, so I hope you enjoy.
I missed writing star wars so bad, can yall tell?
First of all, being Sith doesn’t immediately make you evil. It just means you follow a specific religious groups way of teaching and practice their rituals to some extent. This means you use the dark side, and have nothing against harming others to reach a goal.
You aren’t as power hungry as other sith in this time, and you aren’t under Palpatine’s thumb. Far from it actually. The dark side is to some extent fueled by your hate for the empire and anyone involved with it, as you were once a jedi youngling when the purging happened.
You were a padawan at the time, and your master had always been very interested in holocrons and the past. Their most prized possession was the holocron of Darth Revan, or one of his many holocrons that had been left all over the galaxy.
So, after you saw them gunned down by the clonetroopers you thought you could trust, you ran, taking an escape pod to get as far away as possible. It just turns out you had been carrying Revan’s holocron in your bag at the time, and after landing on a smaller less populated planet, you had hidden away in its vast cave system.
You feared going mad for a while, as you were just a padawan, one who had lost everything. You were almost consumed by this anger and rage, so uncontrollable as you cracked at the edges and fell.
Revan’s force presence must have felt this inside the holocron, as he appeared before you, and guided you through it, keeping you from completely shattering your mind and becoming a beast hellbent on revenge.
From then on, Revan became your new master, leading you around the galaxy to find his other holocrons and artifacts as he taught you everything he knew, and to the best of his ability.
He was kinder than any sith you had ever heard of or met, and he taught you a lot about the sith empire and how not all sith had been power hungry madmen, that before the rule of two, they had been more on the stable side, to a certain extent.
He never claimed they were good people, but you didn’t need that, you appreciated his honesty. Along these journeys, you even found holocrons of some of the other sith of his like, like Malak, who was Revans old friend.
Malak hadn’t been happy about you in the beginning, but he had ended up begrudgingly taking some kind of master role to you, almost like a standoffish uncle. But thanks to their training you are able to stay completely hidden from the empire, and live the life you want to live.
You go where the force leads you, which just so happens to be places that Revan and other great sith of made themselves at home in the past. You had almost started cheering and singing when you found what some would call the tomb of Darth Nihilus, much to your masters embarrassment, as Malak looked at Revan with a lifted brow.
Your interest in the past had been something you had picked up from your first master as a padawan, and it stayed. It was something Revan had to accept as his force ghost watched you fanboy over a mummified hand of Darth Sion, or leftover notes left over by Darth Malgus on saber forms.
Your greatest achievement was your helmet. Or rather, your master’s old helmet. Palpatine had pretty much ransacked the jedi temples after culling them all, stealing whatever he wanted, and the jedi had owned Revan’s helmet for many years, locked away far away from prying eyes.
With your master, and uncle-masters help, you were able to sneak in and steal it right back, taking it from right under Palpatine and Vader’s noses. The helmet barely looked like a helmet with how old and worn it was, but the power inside it made it clear. It was Revan’s helmet.
Revan had gifted it to you, almost beaming as you teared up at the trust he seemed to put in you. You were sith alright, and your emotions were what fueled you, and your love for your master and his love for you was the strongest there could be between family.
You were able to create a new helmet, using what was left of Revan’s and other materials, one of those materials being Beskar you stole from the empire. You even painted in similarly to Revan but added some of your own touches.
Little did you know, this helmet is what caught your future lovers attention first. Mandalorians love a strong partner, and those that follow the creed love some good armor, so Paz couldn’t keep his eyes off you when he saw you the first time.
You pretty much just bleed raw power into the air around you, letting it swirl around you like a second armor and letting everyone around know you were a possible threat if crossed. That was the kinda person that had Paz sweating and his blood pumping.
You would meet because you found yourself on the same planet as the covert hes with, hunting down something left by Canderous ordo, some piece of armor, like a pauldron he had left behind for Revan as some kind of marriage declaration.
Its after finding these pauldrons that you meet Paz, and some of the other older members of the covert. Apparently, words of a guy in scary black and red armor skulking around was enough to have them weary.
In the beginning they might think your Mandalorian, from the style of your armor and the new unpainted pauldrons you have added to your armor, making them hesitate, but that moment of hesitation if all you need to launch an attack.
You don’t kill any of them, wouldn’t want too, but by the force do you kick their ass, another thing that has Paz feeling hot under all that armor. He almost wants to drop to his knees to say the marriage vows right then and there when you fling him over your head using one hand, the other reflecting blaster bolts with little difficulty.
What can he say, mandalorians fall hard and they fall fast, blame it on living such dangerous and hard lives. So, when he sees you aren’t actually trying to kill them, Paz hopes there’s a chance you might stick around.
You end up getting away, ignoring the cackling of your master and the glowering of your uncle-master. The tables turn when Malak starts mentioning Ordo and the love declaration through the pauldrons, leaving your master quiet and mumbly as Malak smirks. They are definitely the reason you don’t fear the sith of old as much anymore.
Paz grieves a little as he doesn’t see you again for a while, even though he tries to keep an ear and eye out for you in your black and red armor and that flexibility that has him gripping the wall when he thinks about it too hard.
In the end its Ragnar, Paz’s son, that brings you before them again. He had ended up in some trouble, and the force had almost screamed for you to help him. Listening to the force was what you did, so you helped the helmet wearing kid out.
Ragnar was smart, and had heard his dads dreamy mumblings and the other mandalorians teasing, so he could immediately tell who you were. One way or another, and though it’s extremely against the rules, he gets you to where the covert is hiding.
Paz shows up and starts worrying about Ragnar, cuz he loves his son and doesn’t wanna see him hurt, and when he hears its you who saved him, he starts feeling hot under the armor again.
On the insistence of the force, you stick around the covert. Paz takes the time to go about romancing like mandalorians do, by peacocking and challenging you to spars. He never wins, not even the ones where you don’t use the force.
Its humorous to see that large hulking back being wrestled to the ground by you, or thrown around like he weighs nothing. You can tell how he feels about you, but you fear acting on it, even though Revan keeps bugging you to do so, much to Malaks annoyance.
In the end you two end up getting together like how many mandalorians do or did. During a fight. Things were getting tough, and a couple of your allies had gotten hurt, even Paz was down for the count.
You needed him up and at em though, so you had reached down and pulled him into a keldabe kiss, pressing your helmeted foreheads together and told him if he got out of this alive, you’d let him take you on a date.
That immediately had him standing, even though his leg wanted to buckle from a stab wound. The enemy were taken out in record time.
Your first date goes a little awkwardly, as neither of you actually have any experience dating. You spending all your life as a jedi and then sith, and Paz being part of a pretty hard covert. But you two work it out, and it ends with you sparring and scuffling in the sand, which maybe lead to something more. The helmets stay on the entire time.
No one is surprised when you two start dating, or when you start becoming a permanent fixture in the covert. Sure, they’re weary in the beginning because you are an outsider and because you are sith, but they come to appreciate you.
They really start welcoming you when you can use your dark presence in the force to hide them away from anyone searching for them, or to take out possible threats. You even start teaching some of the force sensitive members. You don’t force them to use the dark side, but you do end up teaching them about the balance between both.
When Din shows up again, he doesn’t fully know what to do with the information that Paz went and got himself hitched, and to a sith of all things, but he sees you well you fit into It all and their creed, and who is he to judge.
You get on well with Ragnar, as he was pretty much the one to bring you to his dad, and the kid grows attached to you. Who else but him can brag about his powerful dark sider warrior dad? That gets him some brownie points from the other foundlings.
When you and Paz marry there is no big ceremony, its just a vow spoken between you and that’s it. You always find yourself cackling at the memory of how jittery he had been to see your face for the first time, now that you were married.
During all this time you hadn’t been against taking your helmet off, but you just hadn’t had a reason too.
Paz spends a lot of time just holding your face in his hands and taking you in, with you doing the same to him. Expect many kisses from then on, every time you are alone. He is really bad at kissing in the beginning, since he has zero experience, but he makes up for it with his enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Paz is still stoic around others and is a big presence, taking care of the dirty work and keeping people safe. But with you he gets to be soft, he gets to be weaker for once, which only fuels his feelings for you.
He never makes you feel like a monster for using the dark side, and he had marveled and just stared at your glowing yellow eyes for a long time the first time he had seem them, barely believing it was possible for them to look like that, just because of the force.
You are still a sith after all of this, and you still leave now and then to hunt down artificacts and other types of knowledge left by the sith of old, but you don’t feel as much urgency as in the past.
You even bring Paz and Ragnar along for the less dangerous ones, as a family trip. You can’t bring them along for most artifacts though, since you don’t wanna lose them to ancient sith traps or mind tricks.
It’s the stability you’ve needed for many years, and though you are still fueled by passion and emotions, it isn’t the same anger that you had harbored all these years. It was more the love you had for your husband and your son, and the fact that you would tear apart the galaxy for them if they asked.
The feelings are returned from Paz of course, and Ragnar too, as you guys’ care about each other deeply, as any family should. They do get a bit freaked out, even years later, when you tell them about force ghosts and how Revan is always present. Sometimes you say it just to see them subtly looking around, it’s hilarious.

Thinking back about the reaction of the crew to the Revan reveal... They are so funny and unhinged, actually.
Keep in mind I only actually played with female Revan so I'm going with that, but anyway.
Juhani is one of my favorite cause she's like "OMG MY NEW CRUSH AND MY OLD CRUSH ARE THE SAME PERSON?! BEST DAY EVER!" Maybe she's just trying to be nice, but that's the vibe she gave me lol
Mission is amazing. "Well but do you remember it? Are you evil right now? Then no problem bestie!" She's just so chill it's unreal. Love her.
I can't say anything about Carth cause he's the only one who is making sense there. And if you romance him??? Good lord I can't imagine how that poor guy feels.
Canderous is another one of my favorite cause he's like "OMG DUDE I ALREADY THOUGHT YOU WERE AMAZING BUT YOU'RE ALSO AN EX DICTATOR?! AWESOME!" Plus he says to Carth something like "Well bro it wasn't Revan who destroyed Telos, you have no reason to be mad!" Candy I appreciate the thought but maybe it's a bit too soon.
Jolee is a little shit. Period. "Oh well I knew but it wasn't my place to tell you" Thanks grandpa. I can't even really be mad at him, I would have tried to stay out of this shit too.
The droids are amazing. HK-47 is like "Wow what were the odds I would have returned to you, master! Nice to see you again! Can I tell you how we used to talk shit about Malak together?" and T3 just doesn't care. Not a thought in his little adorable head.

Friend is still playing KOTOR for the first time Here are their thoughts so far....PART IV!! The Revea(n)l!!
PARTS HERE [1] [2][3][4][5]
1. Holy Sith! They finally got to the revelation about who Revan is and are so mad right now. Like fuming at the reveal, because they thought the plot was heading in a direction to make you think you were Revan and reveal you weren't. A red herring kind of situation.
2. Revan is still a Class A drama queen and deserves nothing less but pain for all the trouble they caused. Locked in a closet with HK-47 for longer than a year, kind of pain.
3. Malak at this point, he should give up right? Right. It's not like he's failed to do everything and is quite literally being held together by duck tape and spite.
4. Bastilla, babe, mind games aren't cool. They're fun and downright twisted, but not cool. Also, if you turn evil from a day with Malak due to his incompetence, no one would blame you.
5. Canderous continues to be the best Mandalorian by giving absolutely zero fucks about the situation.
6. Carth, my guy, my main man, my resident grouchy regular human who cannot be a space wizard. WTF do you mean let's talk later? I demand answers! There is no way you didn't know what Revan like without the mask when you served with them in the same fleet
7. Also, how does no one else bring it up that you look exactly like Revan the entire game? Like someone randomly could have come up to you and spilt the beans. Bastilla isn't with you the whole time to keep an eye on you, and Revan is one of the most (in)famous icons around. Someone would know what you look like without the mask, there'd be photos on the holonet or something at least!! What, did the jedi council splurge and get you plastic surgery?

I think the thing I like the most about Mandalorians is how much it sucks to be one.
Like, the older I get the more I understand Satine. Any society that revolves around fighting and conquest as much Mandalorian society tends to suck to live in.
Pretty much every major Mando character has this moment where they’re just like, “Why are we like this?” And it feels real in a way that few bits of SW lore ever come close to.
To gloss over it a bit. Nearly every planet they’ve inhabited has been glassed 1-12 times. The foundling system, while cool, has its roots in slavery and forced assimilation (which can still be seen in some cases). Pretty much every major clan or house are the descendants of people who were forced to assimilate to Mandalorian society (not even that far back in Clan Wren’s case). They fought so much that the original Mandalorian race, the Taung, went extinct.
And to top it all off the literal inception of their entire culture was when they saw a planet full of Kaiju and one guy decided they should subjugate and hunt them to extinction. Which is to say nothing of all the civil wars their whole feudalistic house/clan system practically encourages; along with the ever lingering question of how often do Mandos who aren't soldiers get to have full citizenship?
Hell, there was one time a Mandalorian straight up became a Jedi, ruled as Mand’alor only to have his kids steal his saber from the Jedi Temple and use it as a symbol of violence and supremacy.
I’ve always liked to think of Mandalorians as the sort of “wildcard” faction of Star Wars. They can be either the heroes or the villains and vary wildly in how they fulfill those roles, you never quite know what you’re gonna get with them on an individual level. But just about every one of them has had to confront their history and how it affects them now. And their views are often informed their upbringing and different experiences.
There's this constant through line of characters trying to reinvent what it means to be Mandalorian, all of them coming to their own conclusions, usually with the help of a Jedi or two.
Idk, I wouldn't say I'm an expert on Mandalorians or anything (I'm much more of a Jedi guy), but I got a lot of thoughts about them and how their current culture is informed by their history of imperialistic warfare.
"I think... I think I need something more than killing and fighting in my life." - Canderous Ordo

mira is still a bounty hunter. she wears a lot of camo cargo pants
mission is just some kid that revan took a liking to and took under their wing. can't decide if zalbaar is a newfoundland or a full lumberjack human man
juhani is a member of revan's new crew after leaving the city goverment
carth is like. a cop or something. he would be. bastila might also start as one and then get pulled into the life. or she's some psychologist/social worker who is consulting after being entrusted with an amnesiac revan's care
disciple is a history grad student who recently moved into the area and started going to the casinos. actually an undercover republic agent trying to catch them in a sting operation. brianna is a spy sent in by atris, who's part of the city government
visas is a sith assassin thats causing problems for the revanchists and destabilizing them
bao dur. beloved mechanic. used to be part of the revanchist crew but he's since left and mostly spends his time living in the desert and defending the land from developers
goto is also there ig but everyone's too busy for that
kreia is completely unchanged and she still has the force. no one questions that she is the only one operating under star wars rules. she still wants the death of the force and no one understands what that means except for the exile who had a really bad spice trip and now has a harry du bois understanding that theyre in a fictional reality

kevs?
additional notes in varying order of importance
- idk yet how i want the white accents to show up so it changes every time. is he redhood or not? none of my business yet
- eule-vos as a revan sort of functions as a morally chained and regulated version of whatever was going on with the revan anecdotes in kotor 2. he's still a win-at-all-costs type of guy. he'll still look at people in terms of what they can do to further his goals. he's the butcher on a leash. he's toeing the line for now because bastila and carth get weird when he doesn't but he'll also swan dive past it once they are out of line of sight.
- so ig, like, the butcher on a leash but he can step out of it whenever. he just doesn't want you getting nervous because that will be a whole nother issue to handle. he can heel just fine alright
- its like 1 am and i'm thinking about that post compilation that's like. guard/attack dog metaphors applied to people. or like how the devotion between an attack dog and the one holding its leash is as tenuous, sometimes, as the leash itself i don't know man whatever that's about. eule has shades of that. i think it's hard for any revan to not be a little unnerving on this front
- smth smth hk voice to give the illusion of control until the end comes or smth you know? like master like droid is all i am saying
- if, to solve a problem, a guy has to die - but he's with someone he values and who would disapprove of an outright murder - eule isn't above puppetmastering a circumstantial rube-goldberg execution machine yk. like, after a point does culpability even lead back to you? not really right? it's okay he will make it happen don't worry he can work within your moral constraints. you don't have to feel bad about it and you especially won't if you don't know
- (with all this in mind, outings with hk and canderous are also great times to cut loose a little)
- i don't think he struggles to love per se so much as i think that he can't do it conventionally it's always going to be built with an undertone of implacable duty or something like pity. and if he loves you he'll do it to death, only it won't be his and it might be yours. no single person is worth letting the galaxy fall, not to him
- everyone who has taken darth revan ever and smushed them together with the entire concept of having loved rome more... genius
- as is par for the course he is not a romancer he is barely a crusher alright the only remotely similar thing he's ever felt was for yuthura ban for about .4 minutes and looking back it might have just been that she's amiable and understands the shedding of morality for a goal but also, like, she's really purple and that's super eye catching (read: kev eule-vos is my walking excuse to never not bring up yuthura ban)

Hello, I just glimpsed your tags on a post and no pressure (I myself am. So anxious about this ask rip) but if you would like to talk about your trooper and bounty hunter cousins I would love to hear about them, that sounds like a delightful recipe for a character dynamic (like. Is one essentially betraying the other? Did they come up in a situation where they just went their separate ways? How do they feel about the demands of their jobs putting them at odds/how close were they???)
DO NOT BE ANXIOUS I CRAVE ENCOURAGEMENT TO YAK ABOUT MY STORIES 🥰🥰🥰
Okay SO my Ordo cousins are kind of a mess in the best way family can be, with the added heap of Mandalorian Family Drama on top. A good portion of the story for them came from me being really fascinated by all the lore around the Mandalorians of this era and kinda disappointed with how little we actually know, and then me realizing "hey I accidentally made my Mando cousins look a LOT* like the Ordo brothers completely unintentionally" and then my brain went a-plot-bunnying away and came up with More Lore for my stories that I really need to put down in a coherent form/document. But I had maybe three hours of sleep, I know if I nap that I'm gonna murder my sleep schedule, and my dog is chewing on my desk chair again, so that is not happening here today. 🤣😭
*I'm not kidding, I've changed Jaiga's hair and Devika's makeup/tattoos since I made this, but I mean look:
Tumblr media
Accidental cousins go BRRRRRRRR
Aaaaaaand I gotta put this under a wall of text because I have Cannot Summarize in a Brief Succinct Manner Whatsoever Because Infodumping Is Fun problems and I don't wanna take over the dash. If this makes no sense, again, three hours of sleep. 🤣😭
Basic barebones (i say like a liar 🤣😭) backstory: Devika and Jaiga grew up as two of six of the Ordo chieftain's grandkids together and are basically siblings. So Artus Lok becomes Mandalore the Vindicated then turns around and reinvests Mandalore's loyalty to the Sith Empire, Jicoln Cadera falls out with him over it and starts rallying clans. By that point Jek and Rass' part of the family split to do their own thing on Makeb for Reasons I Have Not Determined (I try to be a little canon compliant) so it's just Dev, Jai and Jaiga's older brother Korvun left with their respective parents, and Jicoln shows up to talk Clan Ordo into joining up with his uprising against Vindicated. Their grandpa Kinkaid doesn't like being loyal to the Empire either but doesn't want to turn on Lok, but Devika, who is being groomed as a future successor to the chieftaincy, rallies the clan into supporting Cadera because they're all sick of being used and abused by the Empire—they're Clan Ordo! Their forefather was Mandalore the Preserver, close ally to Revan! He and Clan Ordo helped bring down Darth Nihilus! So why are they bowing and scraping for the Sith when all the Sith have ever done for the Mando'ade is use them as cannon fodder? Speech is awesome, Ordo joins Cadera's rebellion, and when Clan Ordo does something like that, a whole bunch of other clans follow them because of Canderous' continuing legacy of loyalty and honor. They're gonna start a revolution and get them the kriff away from the Empire once and for all!
Which. Obviously. Doesn't happen. And goes very... very... very badly.
Jaiga and Korvun end up the only ones in the chieftain's family to survive the Schism—Jaiga fought, Korvun was born for clan politics but has some mobility issues that make him prefer to stay out of the actual fighting, both have some intense PTSD from losing most of their family. At that point they're sixteen and eighteen and technically traitors, so Clan Ordo gets appointed an "advisor" (read: Lok-approved supervisor) to ensure reparations go smoothly. Korvun takes over the clan chieftaincy but is pretty powerless to affect much without the advisor's approval. Jaiga is "volunteered" as an ijaat-sur'eyir, an honor-seeker, to basically wander the galaxy as an exile, no aid whatsoever from her family or clan, and find a way to regain Clan Ordo's honor and her own. Basically, she gets Zuko'd into a quest to find the Avatar, but the closest thing she gets to an Uncle Iroh is Braden, who gets killed only like six months into her bounty hunter apprenticeship to him, so she has to figure all this stuff out on her own (well, and with her crew). All that time out there alone makes her really bitter, disillusioned with her chances, and resentful of Devika for rallying them into the Schism, though. Because what do they have to show for all that loyalty to Mandalore the Preserver's legacy? Everyone's dead!
...except Devika did not get killed in the Schism.
She managed to get away with only a few scars. She tried to get back and fight for Clan Ordo in the aftermath, but she got betrayed by someone in the clan who felt betrayed by her actions in turn, and ended up in a Zygerrian slave camp for two years until she managed to jerry-rig a transmitter and reported their activities to the nearest Republic army base. SpecForce shows up to clear them out, since they'd been using the post-Treaty of Coruscant chaos to expand their enterprise into Republic territory with Republic citizens, and Dev's efforts in helping fight back get noticed. The leader of Cyclone Squad (made it up for fic purposes!) catches on that she's a Mandalorian who escaped the Schism real fast, but she's a dang good fighter and she went out of her way to save innocent lives, and points her in the direction of Special Forces since she has nowhere else to go and clearly wants to fight. Dev picks up the name Mav Darmani out of worry that if Mand'alor notices her fighting for the Republic that he'll bring the hammer down on whoever is left alive back home, graduates top of her class from Carida, serves a few outer rim tours with Cyclone, then gets transferred to Havoc just in time for All of That Business.
Neither Devika or Jaiga know the other survived the Schism until they both start making the galactic news (for vastly different reasons 😬) and recognize each other. Devika is overjoyed that Jai and Korvun survived. Jaiga wants to kill her for everything that happened. I haven't worked out how the reunion goes but it goes Badly. They're fine as of KotFE (and happily reunited with their other cousins! I can't remember which one but one of the Ordo bros' codex blurbs mentions they were at Darvannis), but it takes a long, long, long time for them to work things out. They're a mess that loves heckling/teasing/driving each other up the kriffin' wall, but I love my mess.

Don't ask me why they're on Rakata Prime, but they are and more importantly, they're happy and I'm happy because I have a new desktop background. I tried to include as many companions as possible, but I'll be honest, there's only so much room and only so many companions would it make sense to say "screw it, I'm finding Revan" or my personal headcannon where Meetra tries to go alone because Kreia said she would and is too dangerous, and Atton promptly responds with "Screw that old witch, I'm coming with you." And then just about everyone else follows his lead, probably except G0-T0. Anyway, sorry Mission, Zaalbar, Mical "The Disciple", Bao-Dur, and Carth. I probably draw most of you another time.
Dog designs:
HK was more fun to design than I thought he'd be, I basically just dogified his preexisting design. Miralukas I've decided are Lhasa Apsos because the images I saw of them online so frequently show them with their eyes being covered by their hair similar to some miraluka headdresses. Bastila is a pomeranian because the way Jonny Devaney (YouTuber that makes skits about dog breeds) portrayed their attitude reminded me a little of Bastila. However, believe it or not, pomeranian wearing clothes is surprisingly hard to draw. Jolee is a schnauzer because that breed looks like an old grumpy grandpa. Cathars are basenji with cat like eyes and nose. I would've picked something else, but for whatever reason, everywhere I looked, that breed was called the most cat like so I felt like I had to. Mira, on account of being Mandalorian, though I forgot she was adopted into the Mandalorian clans until I already drew her, is a belgian malinois much like Canderous. T3 I felt needed no changes because he wasn't made to look even remotely humanoid shaped, unlike HK-47 and "other" protocol droids.
Throughout drawing, I CANNOT overstate how helpful SWTOR was with figuring out costume details. Naturally, I looked first and foremost to the kotor and kotor 2 references, with also occasional help from Galaxy of Heroes, but when I really needed to zoom in for a close up, SWTOR always had my back.

Oh, god. Poor Carth has had to listen to my character flirt with Bastila right in front of him, twice now, practically back-to-back!
Teasing Bastila has been cute and funny, though I see how one can take it badly. Jennifer Hale voices her, and if I pay close attention, I can hear the similarities to Femshep. Carth is an auditory dead ringer for Kaiden, which makes sense, considering they share a voice actor.
Speaking of Carth, during his "out of the loop" conversation, I wish there was a dialogue option to agree that something's fishy about the whole situation. Something to the effect of "I agree that this is all very weird, but we don't have much choice right now."
Poor Juhani feels so guilty over what went down in the grove! Her voice actor is doing a good job so far. I wonder what kind of accent she has going on?
So far, I also like Mission, and how the situation with her brother is different to how she perceives it. Zaalbar doesn't seem to have a lot going on right now. I know he has some involvement on Kashyyyk, though.
Canderous has some cool war stories, though I feel they're less fleshing him out so much as fleshing out Mandalorian culture. He's kind of like the Wrex of this game duology: a character from a warrior culture who goes on to become a leader. Fun fact: he gets his name from a tutorial character in Baldur's Gate!

thoughts on the dave clones in general? there are so many...
*Cracks knuckles* here we go
I absolutely adore them all but we gonna go through each one in detail. Just gonna go through the order on the wiki list
Tumblr media
This one!! I headcanon named him Squish / Squishy :D He's my favorite clone based on appearance, he looks like a big confused sweetie and I just. want to bundle him up and give him a cuddle. He looks innocent and he deserves to be loved.
Kinda like with Sarah I headcanon that his "imperfect flaw" besides the melted skin and teeth is, he has an extreme sensitivity to sound. Like normal talking volume and above is really harsh on his ears and that's why he does the scream thing (I got that vibe from his sound, what sounds like the room full of people talking and then him freaking out). 10 out of 10 will hug again and again
Tumblr media
Neck guy! Honestly he just depressed me so. damn. bad. his lore and what happened to him and what happened leading up to him breaking his neck. It was just, really heartbreaking and if I could kick Dave Tab Cander Ruy in the ass for it I would make sure to have the biggest steel toe boots known to mankind on first.
His sound bc of his lore is also depressing as hell, but I do really like how it sounds, it is kinda eerie too. I hate how quickly it gets drowned out when you put other sounds up though :(
In my AU he is called Moore and was actually named by Sketch / Stanlee :D He's a big innocent sweetheart that loves cuddles, especially from Tab. He does get a brace so he can hold his head up :3
Tumblr media
The blue one!!
I absolutely love his design and everything about it, anything with the teeth is just really cool. I also love how he's the only clone with colour on him and it looks like a snazzy cozy scarf
His sound is really cool too, it's another one of those signature Breakthrough sounds that's really great <3
In my AU he named himself Aster! He is very intelligent like the perfect clone, although he is very clumsy. He can get lost walking in a straight line, he'll trip and fall when just standing still, he falls out of bed at night. But Tab always helps him whenever he can <3
Tumblr media
The perfect clone <3
I just really like his design. The eyes staring into your soul and the shadow on his face, it really gives him the evil clone vibe and I love it smmm
He's my favorite clone in terms of the sound he makes, and he's my favorite sound in all of Breakthough! Idk how to describe it, but it's just really cool and anytime I hear him in a mix I immediately love that mix very much
In my AU Tab named him Dave, after himself, in one attempt to mask that the guy is actually his clone. He's about like Tab in every way. Except times 100. A very exaggerated Tab xD But he is innocent at heart, he sees Tab like his dad and loves him a lot
Tumblr media
Last but certainly not least, our other favorite ceiling dweller, the Imperfect Clone! I was so excited to find a clip of his jumpscare, I never got to encounter it before the original mod post was taken down nkdnfkljbn
He is The Silly! Given who he is, his design is perfect (oh the irony), it also gives off that evil clone vibe. The lack of detail really does a lot for him and I don't think anything else could be done to somehow make him better :D
His sound is really creepy too, I both wish he kinda did a little more, and am kinda glad that that's all he does. If his sound was extended in any way I feel like that would ruin his eeriness yk? What it is now suits him <3
In my AU he named himself Alan because he heard it on a show or something and thought it sounded really cool. He is also innocent at heart, though his emotions are a bit unstable. Extremely excited, extremely upset and prone to violent reactions. He just has a weird chemical/hormonal imbalance in his noggin that people have to be careful with their choice of words around him. All in all, he's a lovable, playful sweetheart that wants to play :D
(Also did anyone notice how none of the clones have Tab's white hair? I wonder if Tab did that on purpose when he made them.)
(You're never going to actually believe whose designs for them I adore)

Saving bigger/nicer Revan drawings for Kotor week but I figured I'd share my head refs of my Revan.
The fake they were given was Sen, but after the leviathan they use both interchangeably. (Though they introduce themselves as Sen.)
Some minor rambles about her under the cut.
Sen is tortured by constant nightmares and visions in their sleep (And sometimes while their awake) and often feel torn between themselves even before they know who they really are. They credit this to the head wounds received during the battle and escape pod launch.
Sen is pretty resistant to using the force, only doing so when she has to. She's more than willing to help and work to save the galaxy, but something about the force scares her.
Tumblr media
Sens romantic attraction is divided between Canderous and Carth. She finds Canderous super cool (though often refers to him as "Mister Ordo.") and develops a crush on him. Canderous respects her for her proficient combat abilities and willingness to be harsh and blunt. He grows on her more and more as the story goes.
Carth and her have some banter flirting, often initiated by Carth, but Carths paranoia keeps a wall between them. She still gives him as much kindness as she can, but the tare she's dealing with becomes more noticeable to him as she struggles between Jedi and Sith.
Post-Leviathin
Tumblr media
After the Leviathin and Canderous's personal quest, he realizes he's developed strong feelings for her. He never brings himself to admit anything, as he's conflicted about it. Sen has remembered being Revan and is torn about how to feel about what she did to his people. The tare in her mind causes her to try and suppress her feelings for him.
Carth and Revan have both developed a strong bond, and have deep romantic feelings for each other. But both don't say anything to the other about it due to their personal conflicts and the business of the story.
Revan remembers some of her time with Malak, and is deeply conflicted on her feelings with him. Sen wants to destroy him and save the galaxy. Revan wants to have him by her side again.

Ooh! Something I forgot to add! Visas knows Canderous! Even called him by his name instead of Mandalore! I think this was part of the Restored Content Mod, but it's a mystery to me!
Omg I didn't know about this! I can only assume she learned it on the ebon Hawk in some way. Or maybe Nihilus told her...? Idk I'm as lost as you. Canderous could have told her for all we know, technically it's not a secret.

20 Questions for 20 Writers
Tagged by @sudsandspectre. Thank you! I finally remembered to fill one of these out haha.
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 50 on my main and three on a side account.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 169,923 on my main and 13,908 on the side, for a total of 183,831, which I think is a neat number.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Star Wars, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, Pathologic, and Assassin’s Creed are the big ones. I have a few other fandoms, but usually only one or two per.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? They’re all Star Wars ones, funnily enough. And If (Well); There Are Frontiers, They Are Endless; It’s Coming Home; Made Whole Through Broken Jaws; and Time is a Thief (Gladness and Grief).
5. Do you respond to comments? Sometimes. I have been trying, but when I get busy in my offline life, I tend to forget to come back to them.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don’t really write angst, so they all have pretty hopeful endings at worst. I guess it’s probably Pandora’s Box (Mass Effect), though.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Haha well… since most of them are happy, I guess maybe Not With Haste (Deus Ex) since it’s pure fluff. Angel’s Chorus (Mass Effect) and And If (Well) are both fix-its, but the ramifications aren’t really explored beyond the end of the fics, so…
8. Do you get hate on fics? I don’t recall any. If I have, I’ve put it out of my mind immediately.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. When I do, it’s very explicit and a one-shot. I write mostly m/m these days, but I have written m/f in the past. I will continue to attempt to write f/f smut that I am not embarrassed to post (so far, no luck).
10. Do you write crossovers? Only a few. Outside of Pinky Swear (Iunyasha/HP), I only have Mass Effect crossovers published, but I have a few others hiding in the depths of my WIP folders. I have a hard time with them usually, as I want the crossover to be plausible (which is easy with an entire galaxy+ to play with from ME).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Maybe? Someone asked to translate one of my Patho fics into Russian. I asked for a link when they had finished and never received one so I don’t know if they ever did it.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes. Before I was comfortable writing my own smut, I had a friend help with a handjob scene. It's very funny to look back on. Also, all of my side account fics are technically collabs, where I fleshed out someone else’s outline, even though they’re posted under only one name.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? I simply cannot pick just one. I usually only have one otp per fandom though; I am nearly incapable of multi-shipping. Some of my favourites (in no particular order) are Fem!Shep/Zaeed, SoapGhost, Jensard, Burakovsky, Fem!Revan/Canderous, JangObi and Kagome/Sesshoumaru.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? As much as I want to say I will finish everything I’ve started, probably Pinky Swear. It’s half an HP fic, and I just can’t bring myself to write on it, really.
16. What are your writing strengths? Timelines, I think. Even for oneshots I will usually have a whole sidebar of notes on travel speeds or when something happened in relation to other things. It helps me keep things organised enough to slide little asides into gaps in the canon (or, as in There Are Frontiers, They Are Endless, co-opt canon for my own means).
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Keeping going on the longer ones. I want to write long fic, but I have a hard time keeping the momentum. Even with outlines, I need to be in the right mood and it’s hard to get there once the initial drive has faded. Also, endings.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I admit to doing it more than is probably necessary (pretty much exclusively for mando’a in my Star Wars fics) but my view is that if you are not going to have translations, the phrase must be inconsequential (one-off endearments or swears that are understandable through context clues, and are only added spice to the fic).
If you have translations, they should be screen-reader friendly. I use a CSS script that translates on hover (long-press on mobile) only when the creator’s style is shown. If the creator’s style is turned off, the translation is shown in square brackets behind the phrase. I find it easier than footnotes, but so long as the translation is easily accessible, I think that’s what matters.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Inuyasha? I think? Or a comic series I can’t even fully remember the name of (Skate Girl? Maybe?). Either way, any digital copies are lost on a very old FFN account, and the physical ones are even further gone.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? This is a hard question! Maybe Quinine (Deus Ex). It’s very dreamy, imo. Same with The Bends (Deus Ex). I think There Are Frontiers, They Are Endless will be very satisfying for everyone in the end, though.
Thanks for the tag! I certainly don’t have 20 people to tag, so I’ll just pass it on to @rigil-kentauris if they want.

@jaggedcliffs tagged me in a post the titles of your WIP files and have people ask questions about them meme (rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. send me an ask with the title that most intrigues you and i’ll post a little snippet of it or tell you something about it. and then tag as many people as you have WIPs.)
And @avrelia tagged me in a post the last line in your WIPs meme (rules: share the most recent lines written in one or more of your works in progress.)
So I'm going to combine the two.
Weak is the Crown:
Cander glanced down, and rubbed his hands self conciously over the sleeves. They fit beautifully. Sir Rovim had set the embroidered panels and black ribbon trim so carefully and cleverly that no one could possibly tell that any of it had once been made for someone else, someone taller and broader, but Cander couldn't help thinking that everybody who saw him would know. They would just know what they were, the king's brother's clothes, stolen by his disgusting lowborn boy lover for his ungrateful ward.
Volcano Spirit:
"You're alive!" It startled Mika to see the relief on the headman's wife's face more than it startled her to see the woman herself. But as she blinked herself to wakefullness, she watched the headman's wife's face twist into its usual sour frown. "Still a blasphemous little theif, I see."
Shree:
“I don't even know why you're still speaking Kiposhi with me, since you don't want me to be queen of that country anymore.” She didn't look at him. There was a perfectly nice sunset to look at instead.
If any of these intrigue you, shoot me an ask.
