An Archangel🩷

From what I read,

Chamuel is an angel associated with love and compassion within relationships! They said Chamuel can heal emotional wounds and restore inner peace within individuals.

Chamuel's mission is to help bring peace to the world. You can call on him when you're suffering from anxiety, struggling in a relationship, or having a hard time forgiving someone. Chamuel helps us deal with difficult times and gives us courage when we feel defeated and alone.

It's like he has a power that can be used by a hug that could heal anyone's mentality. Spread his love for all over the world who deserve them even the angels! I guess his main job is to help and stabilize everyone's mental state, even just a little touch he gives, it would help for sure! More or less depending on how much he wants to help you.

And that's what I found out about him! Down here is just silly info and doodles I created for him since I count this design as my OC.

This is the special mark that represents the strong bond between the siblings. Later, even after Lucifer has fallen, none of them erased the tattoo. They all still kept it till now.

The Seven Archangels in "Hazbin Hotel"

We can probably make an educated guess of who the angels in this image are, based off of the Seven Archangels in Biblical folklore:

Michael, Archangel of Mercy ("Michael the Merciful")

Gabriel, Herald of Visions, and Archangel of Justice

Uriel, Guardian of the Garden of Eden, Archangel of Knowledge and Wisdom

Chamuel (Camael), Archangel of Hope

Raphael, Archangel of Peace and Healing

Jophiel, Archangel of Beauty and Art

Zadkiel, Archangel of Kindness (likely replacement for Lucifer)

Of these, most are male, but Uriel is sometimes feminized as "Urielle, Eurielle or Orielle". I could see Jophiel, Chamuel (Camael), and Zadkiel being female, nonbinary, or agender, depending on design.

The main four are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Chamuel:

"And the Lord said to Gabriel: 'Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from amongst men [and cause them to go forth]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in battle: for length of days shall they not have.'" — 1 Enoch 10:9 [...] "And he said to me: 'This first is Michael, the merciful and long-suffering: and the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael: and the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel: and the fourth, who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named [Chamuel].' From this, we can discern that Gabriel, Archangel of Justice, likely authorized the exterminations of Hell under Adam and Lute.

My thoughts are that each of the Archangels governs one of the Seven Paths, which "winners" can devote themselves to in Heaven:

Michael - Path of Mercy (Heaven's bureaucrats)

Gabriel - Path of Justice (Adam, Lute, Vaggie)

Uriel - Path of Wisdom (Heaven's scientists + philosophers)

Chamuel - Path of Hope (Heaven's priests + therapists)

Raphael - Path of Healing (Heaven's doctors + nurses)

Jophiel - Path of Beauty (Heaven's artists)

Zadkiel - Path of Kindness (angels who help humanity)

💞 Emily was upset. She had everything that she believed in shattered in the matter of minutes. Not only was Heaven not as pure as she was raised to believe, but everything she thought about in Sera had gone down the drain

💞 As the young Seraphim flew home, she heard the many Winners walking around below, she she couldn't help but tear up. They had no idea about what had been happening down below to all of those people

💞 While yes, they did sin, everybody has the capacity to change in some way. Whether it be a murderer finally realizing the heinousness of his actions and changing to be better, to an abuser showing compassion instead of hatred towards others

💞 Emily landed in front of her home, opened the door, and stepped inside. She could hear the sound of her mother and father walking around inside

💞 Her father, the Archangel of Love, was watering one of his many plants. It was beautiful, the long leaves flourishing underneath his care. Her mother, the Archangel of Worship, sat at her desk, her long hair just barely hitting the ground, as it was tied up in a bubble ponytail

💞 She looked as her parents busied themselves. It was always like this. Her father always had some kind of angelic responsibilities to do for their Lord while her mother had to do somethings with the prayers being delivered for their Lord to read and answer

💞 You looked up from your papers as your daughter looked at you sadly

"Oh, sweetheart, what's the matter?"

"It's nothing, Mother."

"Lying isn't right, sweetie." Chamuel said, walking up to his daughter and setting his hand against her shoulder.

💞 Chamuel's long blonde hair was brought into Emily's view and you stood up for her to look into his orchid-colored eyes

"It's... I found out about the extermination today. Adam brought it up in the meeting with Princess Morningstar and Vaggie."

"You... know?"

"Yeah..."

💞 Looking at Chamuel, you nodded. He sighed before walking away from the two of you, he grabbed his staff, the heart-shaped jewel in the center glowing as a tiny Earth appeared

💞 You stared at your daughter as she watched it shape, you then asked her if any specific human soul was brought up in the conversation of redemption, she answered with Angel Dust

"Angel Dust. Real name; Anthony. Death year; 1947. Cause; Drug overdose. Location: New York City, New York, North America."

💞 The Earth then twirled backwards, reversing the time from the current year back to 1947. The planet changed, reverting back to the way it looked back in the older-year

💞 Zooming in on an apartment inside of New York, there stood Angel Dust, then known as Anthony, holding a bottle of pills. You looked away from the flashback to your daughter, she was watching with hope that he wouldn't do anything

💞 Chamuel sighed sadly as the scene unfolded, everything going the way she wished it wouldn't. You then closed your eyes and looked blankly at the events while Emily gasped in shock

"But- humans can't be like that now!"

"They are just as bad."

💞 After nearly 10 minutes of everything unfolding, Emily stepped back and asked you both your stance on Humanity, specifically the souls stuck in Hell, changing for the better

"Sweetheart, I- I just- it's complicated."

"You guys don't believe in redemption, do you?"

"It's not like that, Emily."

"For years you raised me into believing everyone had good in them, only for you to believe in the opposite? What kind of a mother are you!?"

"Emily. Lower your tone with your mother." Her father said.

"Leave me alone." She said as she ran out of the door and flew off.

Screenshot Overanalysis Time!

I've actually spent so much time thinking about this image because no one else talks about it, and it's led to headcanons that range in realism from 'this is possible ig' to 'this definitely isn't true but it's still fun to think about'. So being sure to keep that in mind, I'm gonna describe said headcanons.

So, based on google searches for archangels, there are multiple ideas for how many there are, and one of those ideas is 7 (disregarding Lucifer ofc). Those 7 are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Camael (also spelled Chamuel), Jophiel, and Zadkiel. This is the idea that I'm going to run with to say that the 6 figures in the screenshot are the other archangels. "Oh but how would they be the 7 archangels if there's only 6 of them-?" Well that's what I thought at first, but I'm also persistent. So I started thinking that maybe one of the archangels didn't exist until after Lucifer fell, possibly replacing him (I'll be using Zadkiel to fill this role throughout the post). Of course I don't know much about the system in this universe's Heaven, along with if they'd even feel the need to replace him to begin with, so it was originally just a random fun idea to me more than a genuine possibility.

However, something has since been brought to my attention that makes my idea make more sense. The 7 Heavenly Virtues. Though lesser acknowledged, there is one for each of the Deadly Sins, who we already know exist in the Hazbin Universe, including Lucifer representing Pride; Which is exactly what interested me about it. If the Virtues do exist in Hazbin Hotel's Heaven, that could mean that Lucifer used to be the Virtue of Humility, before unintentionally creating and becoming Hell's parallel to that, the Sin of Pride. With this idea in mind, I think this would make it much more likely for Heaven to actively need a replacement after he fell, they would've needed a new Virtue of Humility. So when Lucifer fell, there would have only been 6 archangels left, the same number we see in this scene, before they had the chance to create Zadkiel.

Also, just to cover my bases and mention the possible argument of Lucifer being a seraphim, I don't think that's technically been confirmed (or if it has, hey it's not like I thought this idea would turn out fully canon anyway lol). Yes, he has 3 sets of wings, which traditionally indicates a Seraphim (from what I've heard in this fandom at least, I have not studied the Bible myself). But we also know that Vivienne doesn't necessarily adhere to biblical accuracy, so this may just be how she's chosen to depict archangels. The main reason I would believe that were the case is the fact that all 6 figures behind him also have 3 sets of wings. These technically could also be Seraphim, but I feel like story-wise it would make more sense to me for them to have been archangels than more seraphim. this is partially because none of the halos look like the one we see on Sera, and I think it would be safe to assume if they were Seraphim in that moment, Sera would have been there with them.

Before I post this, I'm just gonna reiterate in case people wanna take this too seriously; This is mostly a fun and interesting idea that I know won't be true. Just let me do a bit of theorizing without the pressure of realism in this show that isn't exactly the perfect model of realism itself.

In conclusion, I wanna see archangels in the show so bad you don't understand- I've made picrew designs for them at this point, maybe I should post them, for the fun of it 👀
