it is a still and cool night. the moon hangs silent overhead and the sky is softly sprinkled with a flurry of stars. i’m sure you would have loved to see it. you’d point at each one, naming constellations of gods and heroes long past, with that brilliant smile of yours. and unbeknownst to you, i would have taken the opportunity to stare at my love next to me; for just as you are taken by the wide expanse of the night sky, i am equally enamored by you.

my love, the wind smelled sweet today. i had tasked myself with reviewing the cargo of a couple wagons that arrived earlier this morning when i noticed a couple crystal flies floating around the wind wheel asters you planted a while ago. they’re blooming beautifully. you’ve always had quite the talent for gardening, and i’m reminded of this whenever i walk around the manor. the winery has certainly become more lively, and not just because the flora; it seems that the maids whisper among themselves that i have softened up quite a bit. i can hear their hushed conversations, their giggling whenever they catch me staring at your framed picture in my office. the other day kaeya called me a lovesick fool; however i could not find it in me to be angry at him, something that surprised even him. i suppose you do have that kind of effect on me.

i miss you.

it is getting quite late now. adeline just knocked and asked why i hadn’t gone to sleep yet. i am simply spending time with you: the you who isn’t here. i miss you. so terribly. remember, the Dawn Winery’s doors are always open. and i am always here. i long for the day you’re in my arms again. please hurry home. i’ll be waiting.

I sit at my writing desk unable find the words to write on the page. I so quickly opened your letter only to be swept off my feet, though you know this is a common occurrence. How I have had to learn to walk time and time again because of you - I hardly know how I ever made it in this world before you. 

The days have been long and the nights arduous. This distance, though necessary as work continues to keep me from your arms, is quiet a strain on my heart. There are times when I feel you near me, hear your voice, see you in the horizon only to turn and find you aren’t there. I am growing weary. 

I am pleased to hear of the gardens fruitfulness and that you are continuing to find moments for yourself; please, do not work so hard. While the bed may be colder without me, I still hope it will bring you rest. 

I’ve read these lines over and over, the tears that you may find accenting the page are filled with my earnest desire to be with you again. I miss you, unbelievably so, I miss you. 

There is still work to be done for me here, but know that each moment that goes by is filled with thoughts of you - it is the only way I know to breathe anymore, to be near you while I am away. 

Please, don’t wait up too long. I’ll be home as soon as I can.

Think about it, he already has trust issues and you do THAT in one of the most intimate moments you could've ever shared...my boy would be destroyed. I think he already sees his brother as the more desirable one cuz you know...he's more of a smooth talker and knows how to charm others. And you've fallen for Kaeya instead of him too? He may not care about how others see him but you, the one he holds dear the most, have liked him more than Diluc too?

Kazuha brainrot hours are o p e n and theyre never closing. I got way too excited when he showed up with Gorou, and I legit screamed when he saved us. He’s genuinely one of my biggest comfort characters and I’m so happy he’s still alive (I am lowkey sad about Signora tho... I have unwillingly simped for her since she kicked Venti. I’m so sorry Venti ilysm and you’ll always be my #1 but... pretty women)

Hazel-chan I'm touched that you thought about me! It feels really uplifting to be talked to and thought about by my favorite author...

I've been alright, trying to fight my anxiety and negative thoughts, but I've also finally started seeing a therapist, so hopefully he'll be able to help me better my mind set.

I have actually added to my shine! My sister was so so sweet and commissioned a painter to paint a portrait of my Lucy for me, I've framed it and put her by my bed, with some small tokens that she used to love or that reminded me of her. I also get greeted by a crow every morning that flies over my house past my bedroom window which I think in some weird way is her saying hello to me though it. 🖤

But at the moment I'm just taking life one day at a time, doing my best without pushing myself too hard.

Thank you for caring, truly. It means so much to me.

Also on a side note, I've maxed out my Diluc! And I've somehow gotten him Wolves gravestone! I've worked on getting him nice artifacts and I've crowned him once so far, All in honor of you! I want my Diluc to be the best for Hazel-chan! :D him and Yea are my carries and synchronize so well together, with Zongli's shield they are unstoppable!

Oh! And um, I did create an account on the north American server if you ever need somewhere to farm for anyone's materials.

and I’m so glad to hear that you are not only taking care of yourself but you are building a place that brings you joy, and reminds you about Lucy. That was so sweet of your sister to have someone make you a memory as precious as that. no matter where we go in life, you’ll be able to hold onto her memory and keep her in your heart - she knows that and perhaps that’s why she reminds you every day - a familiar never really leaves us.

haha i KNEW thaat boy could play an instrument -- i for sure thought piano AND YET the formal violin still makes so much sense because he was raised in a pretty noble environment ( man i just love him so much )

We settled on Basil Ham-Fisto for the kitten, cause he won't stop slapping people with his big ol meaty paws lol

My old lady likes him in as much as she likes all cats, but she gets pissed off cause he's so rambunctious and won't hold still for grooming

My brother brought his cat back for a weekend play date and she does NOT like Basil, she wants his food and his cardboard palace and my old lady for herself. But the good news is, my puppy (she's almost a year and 80 lbs, that's beside the point) has decided that Basil is her BFF so every time my brothers cat would be a jerk my puppy would come in and smother her in kisses until things calmed down lol

Puppy like to steal his toys tho, so all of his little cat nip stuffies and jingle balls are a lil crunched up, but that's okay cause his favorite game so far is putting his face in her mouth and slapping her jowls 😂😬
