sorry for not answering this earlier !! i was struggling to think of some but then i went into my drafts and found this long headcanon of young richie and eddie being idiot best buds who are lowkey crushing on each other and its so dumb which is why i never posted it but here u go

ok so. imagine.

the losers all have an elaborate walkie talkie set up, stranger things kids style, but richie and eddie have their own special station/channel where they can just talk to each other

and a lot of the time, richie uses it to call eddie late at night to invite him to some crazy shenanigan

like richie thinks his neighbour is a vampire or a serial killer or somETHING weird bc the guy is always shifting around in his yard and garage at night so richie always calls eddie to come spy on him with him (bc eddie is the only one who also believes that something is up with this guy) (bc if either richie or eddie believes some dumb shit then u can bET the other one does too)

so anyway thats how richie and eddie end up spending a lot of their summer nights hiding behind bushes in richies neighbours yard, trying not to go red when they have to huddle together, whisper-arguing abt whether or not richie pushed eddie into the bush on purpose or not, whisper-laughing abt some lame jokes they came up with on the spot bc they got bored or distracted, whisper-shouting and then actually shouting when they get caught

they try to bolt but the guy grabs them by the collar of their shirts and drags them to richies front doorstep. and they both smile sheepishly when maggie opens the door and finds them with their very angry neighbour again

(because this has happened multiple times and yet richie and eddie always go back bc theyre dumbasses)

maggie sighs as she lets the two boys inside and richie immediately begs her not to tell sonia bc she’d probably lock eddie up if she found out they were doing this and thats not even an exaggeration she’d rlly whoop eddies ass and look at eddies cute, innocent face mom how can u let her do that to him please dont tell…

maggie looks at eddie, who is giving her his very best puppy dog eyes

(the last time they’d gotten caught and dragged up to the toziers house by their neighbour, maggie had threatened that she’d tell sonia if it ever happened again. so now richie is literally on his knees pleading for her not to, bc he doesnt think he’d be able to manage if eddie got grounded and wasnt allowed to see him for a week)

and maggie relents bc despite everything, eddie actually does keep richie out of trouble most of the time.

once, she had seen richie about to attempt chugging a whole carton of milk in under a minute. and before she could interject, eddie had said, “dont do that idiot” and richie had said “yeah ok” and put the milk back and maggie had been dumbfounded bc richie literally never lets anyone tell him what to do ever

so she says she wont tell and lets eddie stay on the condition that they will never go into the neighbours yard again. and the two boys shout excitedly, richie wraps her up in a hug, and they ramble their promises over each other before racing upstairs to richies bedroom

where they pull out binoculars and continue to spy on the neighbour

they spot him out in his back yard. digging a hole in the ground.

“what do you think thats for?” eddie asks. he is using the binoculars. richie is pressed up next to him, his face pushed against the window to get a good look. (there is plenty of space by the window btw, richie is pressed against eddie bc he wants to be)

“probably to bury us in when he finally kills us,” richie jokes. eddie laughs ‘ha’ and then gives richie the binoculars so he doesnt have to look at the neighbour so closely anymore.

neither of them say anything after that. but something abt the joke rlly spooks them. maybe its the fact that its getting dark, the fact that they can hear the faint sound of the shovel scraping against the ground, the lingering memory of the angered look on the neighbours face when he’d caught them

theyre both a little on edge. so much so that when they finally call it a night, eddie hesitates by the made-up bed on the floor before deciding fuck it and climbing into richies bed with him

“what are u doing?” richie asks. his bed is small enough that eddie bumps against him as he shuffles under the covers

“nothing,” eddie grumbles. he turns so his back to richie, but their feet are touching. “kick me in your sleep and you die.”

“noted,” richie says. he stares at the back of eddies head and his heart flips up into his throat. he wants eddie to look at him. he also wants to tease eddie for being scared but hes scared too. so he ends up with: “you know if that guy rlly tries to kill us im sacrificing you for my own safety right?”

eddie doesnt miss a beat: “yeah right. i could just step on your glasses and you’d be done for. blind-y.”

richie kicks at eddies shin and eddie kicks back. richie laughs and eddie laughs. and they rib at each other until they fall asleep.

(but richie has a nightmare in the middle of the night and in his half-awakeness hisses at eddie until he also wakes up. and when richie tells him he cant sleep, they make a sleepy, fumbly deal to hold hands until theyre both knocked out again)

(and they think nothing of it. bc theyre not rlly awake and also theyre bros)

and the next day they sneak back into the neighbours backyard to check out the hole he was digging bc theyre idiots who never learn.

the hole looks body-sized.

theyre both convinced its for their soon-to-be-dead bodies

no one else can convince them otherwise, bc richie and eddie are two chaotic tinhat conspiracy theory believers 

and also best buds who like to rile each other up until they actually get scared

✹☾✮ ( yang yang. cis male. he/him ) It seems that DAMON SALVATORE has been drawn to Beacon Hills. That’s probably because they are a TWENTY EIGHT/ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY ONE year old VAMPIRE. When they arrived here a year ago, they were very CHARMING  + WITTY, but since then, they’ve been known to be more MANIPULATIVE  + VENGEFUL. They kinda remind me of black crows lining up against a white fence, blood stained lips curled into a smirk,leather vests with bedazzled spikes, and the whispers telling someone if only someone loved you. 

My second man whoop anyway heres Damon 

Damon was born around the 1839, was turned in 1864 

The elder brother, he was never one to shine when Stefan is around causing him to be resentful of his little brother especially when it came to Katherine 

Damon got himself into a lot of shit like a lot of shit 

Damon kinda had a small highkey crush on Elena but the feelings really werent reciporacted 

Damon still stuck around if only to fuck more shit up, sometimes he did the right thing 

After everyone died in 2017, Damon decided to try to do some soul searching and it wound up getting him in a situation that forced him to body swap. 

So Damon went to Beacon Hills because California sounded like a good place to chill for the time being

Little did he know he was stuck there

Damon looked dully at the stranger. They weren’t ugly but he guess they weren’t pretty. Just some average human. “Soul searching, travelling around…….”  He paused. “I guess working out to get comfortable in my own skin.” Damon replied, rolling his eyes. “Were you expecting some great adventure novella. Next question.” 

(Damon left Mystic Falls.There wasn’t any inner peace in this case.Rather he just traveled, doing what he usually does. He may have accidentally swore at a witch while he was drunk and he was stuck in a new body. Not that he minded though, he wanted to stay lowkey)

HEY.. SO.... 👉👈 ...would anyone be interested... if I made a dual oc blog... for my mha characters? I’ve got a blank blog and stuff, but I’d have to add the rules & about pages... hhhh... briefly put? below?? in case you’re interested ;w;

 One is a first year (i think...!), shes a very average looking young japanese girl. Black hair, hazel eyes. Her quirk was originally considered vampiric, due to how it originally manifested. But in the end, it was found out to be a CONDUIT type quirk. bc of how she started using it, the easiest way to use it... is by ‘stealing’ life force (energy!) of other living things, and harnessing / using it (input/output!). She can really hurt people with it without meaning to, so she’s a little shy.. No one really expects such a scary quirk from such a kind, quiet girl, anD YET..! here she be. The lighter her hair/eyes/complexion, the more energy she has stored (she can’t hold too much for long or else it WILL hurt her... she’ll slowly learn to increase her capacity to store/harness etc..)  

the other is a young teacher! im ngl, he was originally gonna be put into a fic (ive mentioned him before !). He’s about... oh... 25? ish? maybe. He’s from the americas! about 5′6... if im feelin’ generous when i do go to officially make him gfdgf,, hes a trans guy!! bc .. gota represent .. also bc semi self insertion there whoops ijhbdj so hes relatively small.. ish... but also kinda built, due to his quirk training and all that. He’s not a very popular hero, or even very well known.. but not an underground hero rlly ?  he’s got his license but ghfhhd he had an accident due to his quirk backfiring on him, while trying to use a powerful move, and collapsed a lung, nearly lost it. His other was damaged too but ? somehow remains completely functional and healed.  ANYWAY HIS QUIRK IS... AIR CONTROL.  Simply put,, hes basically an air bender,, i gueSS FJFJDfsd His quirk is very.. very exhausting, due to how he uses it jjdfd  He needs a high lung capacity for it to function at its Best,,, but since he had the mishap there, he can only really use it in practical ways. which is fine, and much safer-- though a bit hindering. He’s a little bit reckless, but also.. is... strategic.. ?  organized chaos, kinda.  He’s a really good guy!! though is a bit quiet, and perhaps a little cold at first.. though truthfully, its probably because hes so fatigued all the time fjddg he doesnt mean to act intimidating or stone faced or anything -- it just kinda happens... hes very friendly though, and loves a good challenge. a little cocky too, once he gets going.. but ultimately, yknow.. insecure, but trying his best. he’s struggled most his life, but he’s happy with where he is now, in life. THIS GUY IS... an important character to me. I’ve spent much longer building him and thinking about who he is as a person, as well as his flaws and personality, his insecurities etc. Some of them hit home for me, due to certain shared traits.. u 3u.. which i spose makes him feel closer to my heart, mayhaps..

from an early age, you had been taught about the terrors and beauty of vampires

they were creatures that were rumoured to be living among all you humans

but they were able to disguise themselves, blending in easily as anyone else

they could be your neighbour, your doctor, your best friend

but no one would ever know, or dare to ask, because vampires would never willingly reveal their secret to a human

but they definitely existed, as there would be occasional report of farmers’ wildstock being spotted with puncture wounds

or the violent attacks involving victims who’d always had a lot of blood loss

or countless blood bags going missing from hospitals

people were terrified but no one could ever do anything about it because they knew vampires were too powerful and too stealthy in comparison to themselves

when you were younger, you always prayed that you’d never have to face the misfortune of crossing paths with a vampire, you were too scared of all those stories

but you could also never imagine any of the people in your life potentially being a vampire

after graduating college, you started wokring

it was your first proper full time job as a typical office worker working in a

the building you worked in was breathtaking, super sleek, super professional, it was where you’d always wanted to work

on your first day, your head supervisor, Yoon Jisung, introduced you to your coworkers on your floor

“Everyone gather round, this is Y/N and they are the new edition to the Marketing strategies team. Please take care of her and show her the ropes. Y/N, please introduce yourself.” 

You smiled brightly, wanting to make a good first impression

“ Hi, I’m Y/N Y/LN, I’m very excited to start working with you all and getting to know everyone better. I’ll do my very best here, please take good care of me!” 

A polite round of applause was given to you and most of your coworkers returned your smile

Your attention was caught by one man in particular, who could probably only be a couple of years older than you if not less, who was standing directly in front of you

His smile was blinding, and his warm brown eyes seemed to draw you in the longer you looked at him

He exuded positivity and you were glad that someone seemed enthusiastic about you being a newbie

Jisung gave you a warm smile before pulling you over to the side out of earshot of everyone else

“Y/N, everyone is lovely here, but I must warn you. You know that we always do a mandatory background check on our employees before they can start working here….However, despite that, we can never be 100% sure if any vampires are here among us just from that..”

His eyes darted over to the man who had glared daggers at you earlier

“Over there…That’s Kim. He’s a hardworker but he’s more of a one-man team, and doesn’t like working with others. It’s probably best to stay away from him if you can..because….” Jisung gives you a pointed look

You nod vigorously in understanding 

that was what your parents would say to you too before you went to school - “if they give you bad vibes, it’s best to stay away”

Jisung leads you over to an empty cubicle

“Ok, Y/N, so i given you the rookie tour, now it’s your time to jump right into it! You’ve been emailed a list of tasks you’ll need to do today, but if you have any troubles i’m sure Jihoon here will give you a hand.”

The cute brown haired man from earlier suddenly pops up from behind his cubicle and gives you a wave

“Hey, welcome to the team, my new neighbour!”

you laugh and waved back, glad that Jihoon seemed to be a very nice guy to work with

you couldn’t help but glance back at Kim again though, your eyebrows furrowing in fear

To you, it seemed clear as day that Kim was a vampire.

The uncontrollable shiver that you got from making eye contact with him still terrified you. 

but you try to push that thought away and start on your work

everything is straightforward enough

the company is about to start selling a new product and you’re working in a team of 4, in charge of the advertising with jihoon, ong seongwu, and joo kyulkyung.

so you start preparing slides for the presentation at the end of the fortnight

You get along with everyone who comes over to you to introduce themselves during work breaks and a few of them have invited you to go out with them to eat lunch now that you’re part of the team

You’re fitting right in and you’re really liking the job which is always a plus, but you make sure to not get to comfortable because you’re still new

aka, you stay farrrrr away from Kim who’s as shady as ever

You become the closest with the people on your team, they’ve all been doing this job for a while now and they’re all very on to it, often finishing all the tasks they have quickly so they can go have together lunch early.

A day before the presentation, you’re tapping away at your computer, trying to get the finishing touches sorted when you get the fright of your life when Jihoon’s voice chirps in your ear

“Working hard neighbour?”

you’re usually quite observant so you’re surprised you didn’t notice him get that close to you

or maybe you were just super focused on your work

yeah…that must be it

You glance up at him and he smiles warmly back at you

“Feel free to give me a shout if you need a hand with anything ok?”

You nod happy that you’ve got such a friendly soul as your work neighbour

“I’ve already finished most of my section so I’m heading off for a lunch break, but if you suddenly need help and I’m not here just send me a text and i’ll be back asap”

“Oh…but I don’t have your number!”

“Ah whoops, that’s true, hold on pass me your phone”

You reach over to hand your phone to him and his fingertips accidentally brush yours

so cold ???

You glanced back at him concerned, but he doesnt even realise because he’s preoccupied with inputting his number into your phone

“Jihoon, your hands are freezing!”

“oh don’t worry about it y/n, it’s just bad circulation…”

Jihoon waves off your concern but you rummage round in your bag and fish out a pair of gloves pressing them into his cold palm

“Here take these! I have so many pairs and you clearly need them more than I do if you want your precious fingers to stay intact”

you laugh as you wiggle your fingers in the air 

Jihoon stares at the gloves in his hand for a second before slipping them on and breaking out into laughter, wiggling his now gloved fingers back at you

“You’re a cute one aren’t you? Thanks neighbour!”

Now the blush on your cheeks was real

Jihoon grabs his coat and heads out of the office and you let out the breath you didn’t realise you’d been holding

When he had leaned over your shoulder, he smelt like citrus with a hint of vanilla and you had been tempted to ask what cologne he was wearing so you could buy it for all your male friends because boiiiii smells gooood

You look over at your phone and smile at the name Jihoon has put in your contacts

Jihoon’s phone chimes just as he’s about to take a sip from his blood bag

He smiles when the text preview indicates that it’s you that sent it and he goes to unlock his phone

But before he can, Ong Seongwu has snatched it up, his own blood bag dangling precariously between his teeth

“Who you texting that’s got you smiling like that Jihoon?” he teases

Jihoon doesn’t make a move to respond, knowing that Ong will give him so much teasing shit about him having a crush on a human

too late

“OOOO IT’S A GIRL!!  She says “Thanks for being such a good neighbour ^^”

It takes a few seconds for it to click but Ong’s grin gets even bigger when he realises it’s you

Jihoon shakes his head, “It’s just because she’s new and still learning, she can’t flunk out on her first presentation…”

Ong made a mhmmm noise, clearly not buying the entire story but he makes no move in handing the phone back to Jihoon, continuing to dance around 

Minhyun is just trying his best to stop Ong from spilling anything out of his blood bag and Kyulkyung just observes them all silently, sighing at the chaos

The phone chimed again and Ong excitedly reads the text again, downing the rest of his bag of blood before he reads it in a cute voice 

“Hope the gloves are keeping your hands warm, it’s winter so you don’t want to get sick!”

All their heads turn towards Jihoon’s hands and NOW they understand why the guy suddenly had a new addition to his fashion accessories

“OoOOOoooooOOOoOOO bless, she’s looking out for you!” 

Jihoon rolls his eyes, but if he could blush he definitely would be

He cups his face with his hands, the gloves feeling soft against his cheeks

“shut up and let me feed in peace, we have to head back soon”

Minhyun sighs, patting Jihoon on the back,��“Just be careful Jihoon, you can’t let her find out about us…about what we are…”

Jihoon nods, “of course, that’s a given, i’d never risk doing anything that would get us found out.”

After they all headed back into the office, Jihoon looked back at the texts you sent him again and sighed

As a vampire it was hard enough having to hide all the time

actually…it wasn’t too bad, but just very annoying

Sometimes he really couldn’t be bothered having to put in coloured contact lenses in the morning (they made everything look slightly scratchy)

and he’d always get kinda dizzy if hadn’t fed for a while and someone particularly nice smelling came along (aka you)

But humans could be so dense, there were literally vampires everywhere around them, but people always assumed they had to look scary with dark cloaks and fangs permanently out.

There was quite a handful of vampires at the office, and most had their own clan of friends

no one really questioned where another vampire would get their supply from, which is why it was important to have your own clan

because usually if a vampire worked by themselves, it was through dirty methods

most vampires believed that if you were to work among the humans in their communities, you shouldn’t harm them

so those who actively hunted down living people weren’t particularly welcomed

So sometimes Jihoon wonders what he would be doing if Ong and Minhyun hadn’t found him when he had freshly converted

He was one of the lucky ones that’s for certain

Jihoon steps into the elevator and the only other person inside is Kim

He glances up at Jihoon and rolls his eyes

“Had a good sip from your doggy bag, Park?”

Jihoon glared back at Kim, but didn’t bother to engage in an argument

Kim was one of the lone runners

All the vampires knew he would kill people but because he would go out of the city to do it, no one really stopped him, Jihoon included

As the elevator finally reached the office floor, Kim let out a dark chuckle

“That new girl…Y/N…she’s quite the catch isn’t she?”

Jihoon froze and he felt his breath hitch in his throat

“Maybe I could have a bit of fun with her…you’re welcome to join me, I’m sure she’ll be much sweeter than those measly little blood bags Hwang gets you from his father’s hospital”

Jihoon turned round to face Kim front on, eyes blazing

“Keep your filthy hands off Y/N, Kim, I’ll only warn you once”

“Oh Park, you’ve got it all wrong. I won’t touch her with my hands, but I will with these.” 

Kim bares his fangs, and they glisten menacingly 

The elevator door opens and you’re standing there ready to go on your lunch break

“Hey Jihoon!” you smile brightly at him oblivious about the current situation. You notice Kim in the background and you try not to be too obvious how terrified you are as you greet him too. 

“Hello Mr Kim. how are you?”

Kim smirks back at you before throwing an arm round Jihoon’s shoulder

“Just been talking to Park here about our annual MT (A/N: = membership training). It’ll be a good chance to finally get to know you better.” 

You force a smile and nod wordlessly as Kim saunters off to his cubicle

You’re a bit shaken up and Jihoon looks at your worriedly

“Y/N…try your best to stay away from him…he’s bad news.”

You nod and in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere you give him a mock salute

He laughs and gives you a gentle pat on the head as he shuffles past you

As you eat your lunch in the cafeteria with some of your coworkers, you wonder if Kim is the only vampire in the office

You’re snapped out of your thoughts when someone asks you about the MT coming up

“Y/N, do you know where we’re going for the MT? Jisung has been planning it for ages and it’s been so long since our last one!”

“I’ve heard it’s going to be in Busan! Minhyun sunbae told me he was excited to go back to his hometown this year.”

All the girls collectively sigh at the mention of Minhyun and you laugh good naturedly at them

You were excited for the MT, it would be your first one and you were ready to make some good memories

— MT time a few months later —

After going on the Train to Busan (who else has watched that movie ahhh)  you arrive at a campsite in a rural area

it’s super fun, everyone’s excited and there’s lots of team building games and all that jazz

also perfect opportunity for people to get all flirty with each other

When night falls, a few people head off to bed, but most of you stay out to have a few drinks and chat round the fire

You’ve already had a couple of drinks and you weren’t planning on having anymore so you just lean back against a rock and listen to everyone talk

You’re trying your best not to doze off, but the blanket covering your legs is warm and the rock is comfy

the rock…is comfy??

you blink rapidly as you realise you’ve been leaning against Jihoon’s shoulder the entire time

“Oh! handsomeguyyy-parkjihoon-it’s-youuuu?!”

ooooh boi the alcohol must’ve hit you and you’re horrified by how your slurred words but that don’t seem to stop you

“yes y/n, it’s me?”

Jihoon is blinking down at you with just as a bewildered expression and you push yourself off so you’re sitting upright

but you must’ve done it too quickly because now you’re feel light headed af

“Y/N, you alright?”

Jihoon’s voice is soft as he gently steadies you with his hand

everything is too cold

even though he’d been drinking too, he hadn’t warmed up in the slightest

You shake your head, causing Jihoon to frown

“Why? do you want me to walk you back to your cabin?”

You shake your head again, before pulling your blanket off you and clumsily move to wrap it round Jihoon

“You’re TOO cOLD” you manage to slur out, shuffling closer to him in an attempt to conserve body heat

You’re much bolder when you’re drunk

And now you’re fast asleep with your hands wrapped round his because “yOU fORGOT THE gLOVES? I’LL bE YouR GLOVE”

He doesn’t know what to do as Ong snickers constantly, taking photos and saying that his little boy jihoon has finally grown up

A cold breeze hits the air, and although it doesn’t affect any of the vampires, all the humans including you in your slumber shiver

Jihoon moves to stand up, taking you in his arms 

“I should take Y/N back to her cabin… Kyulkyung can you give me a hand?”

it’s only a short walk to the cabin but as the Jihoon rounds the corner he immediately senses someone else’s scent

yoooo guess who>??? it’s the creep!

“Kyulkyung, take Y/N inside now, I’ll deal with this.”

Kyulkyung hesitates for a second but nods taking you from Jihoon’s arms

“Kim, what the hell are you doing outside this cabin?”

Kim’s grin is pure evil as he spits out his reply, “I could say the same to you Park.” 

…….You don’t know when you came around

but you can hear a harsh conversation outside your window

It’s Jihoon and Kyulkyung

You’re about to open the window to ask them what they’re up to so late

but without meaning to eavesdrop you end up hearing parts of their conversation

“Where did Kim go?”

“I don’t know but if he’s smart, he won’t come back anytime soon.”

“Jihoon…just how badly did you hurt him?”

your eyes widen in shock

what had happened?? 

another breeze and the clouds dispersed in front of the moon

and in even from just the faint glow of the moon you could see that Jihoon’s eyes were a bloodshot red, and the veins all over his face and neck and arms were pulsing intensely as he tried to wipe what appeared to be blood off his shoes 

You take quiet, careful steps away from the window

This wasn’t possible

“I’m just drunk, just sooo very drunk” you mutter to yourself trying not to hyperventilate as you curl into a ball on the ground

You don’t realise that they can hear you and you don’t see the looks of horror on their faces when they realise what you’ve witnessed

You hold your breath, when someone knocks on the door, and you don’t go to answer it. 

The next morning you wake up with a pounding headache but a very vivid memory and you try to calm yourself before you get ready for breakfast

Jihoon spots you as you’re filling up your mug with coffee but it seems that you’re so out of it because you haven’t noticed he’s standing right next to you

“Y/N…”

You jump, spilling the hot coffee all over your hand and Jihoon and you curse in pain before apologising rapidly, and then freezing in shock when you realise it’s Jihoon

You try to stutter out a greeting but words fail you so you turn to rush off to grab a towel to wipe up the coffee and an ice pack for your hand

But you’re a step too late because Jihoon has already got a hold of your wrist and is pulling you over to your cabin

And you’re too scared to fight against him

Would Jihoon really hurt you? 

His voice shakes when he finally speaks

“Y/N…how much did you see yesterday?”

You don’t know what to do, your heart is pounding in your chest

“I…Kim…What…?”

You stutter out a few words but nothing is making sense and you can feel the blood rushing to your head so you close your eyes to try block out everything

you can’t focus and you just want to run away but something is stopping you 

You think back to the few months that you’d got to know him

Jihoon has always been so kind to you

He’d go out of his way to help you at work

even after you’d settled in and were no longer the newbie

sometimes he���d bring you a coffee during the break or sneak a pack of cookies over onto your desk because he knew that you’d get hangry if you were working overtime

you didn’t want to assume that he liked you but that had been the vibes you had gotten from him since you started getting close

and you happily reciprocated, like passing him your pocket warmers on especially cold days

or drawing little scribbly memos on his notes telling him to “cheer up” when work was especially heavy 

and you’d freaking used him as a rock to lean on earlier just the day before

so would he really hurt you??

“Y/N please look at me”, he’s pleading with you and you when you open your eyes you can feel his sincerity piercing through you.

“I don’t know how much you saw, but please know I would never hurt you…

…I know im just a monster, I didn’t choose to be like this, but I’m trying my best to blend in and live normally…

..Kim was trying to hurt you, he was waiting for you to go back to your cabin…”

Jihoon shudders at the memory and he reaches over and takes your injured hand in both of his

The cold soothes the burn and you sigh in relief and he rubs his thumb gently over it

“If you want me to leave and go somewhere far away, I will. But after yesterday I realised how much I want to protect you, you need to understand that. You’ve been in so much danger, yesterday you could’ve -” 

Jihoon’s voice cracks and he screws his eyes shut at the thought

Your heart aches watching him belittle himself

you don’t like seeing him hurting like this and you just want to comfort him

your free hand gently reaches over to smooth out the furrow between his eyebrows

“you’re still the same jihoon…all those times you took care of me, you helped me out and believed in me…that was all real. that was all you jihoon…so please don’t think you’re a monster because you’re not”

his face is smooth and cold as you gently stroke his cheek and he leans into your touch as you do so

“i’m so sorry you got dragged into this, I didn’t want you to find out this way…”

you don’t know whether it’s because of the extreme rush of emotions you experienced over the last 24 hours or because you were still drunk from the night before, but you couldn’t stand Jihoon being so hard on himself

So you reached up to grab the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to your level

As your lips pressed against his, you felt his arms wrap round your waist, drawing you closer until you were flush against his chest

and despite his body temperature still being as cold as ever, the warm energy surrounding the two of you makes you feel so safe in his arms, that you never want to leave ;;;

Jihoon eats like any other human, but you can tell his tastebuds are pretty indifferent to it all

he doesnt really need to sleep so if you’re having a late night, he’ll come round and stay up with you

or stay at the office until you’ve done all your work before walking home together

it always nice to go for late night strolls under the stars knowing your boyfriend’s got yo back

And although you’re not a big fan of horror movies, watching vampire movies with Jihoon is the funniest thing

Like he won’t shut UP

“Ok, so we do NOT look like that - and how are we supposed to turn into bats? like pls explain that logic to me?” 

You just hit him on the shoulder as he continues to complain

“AND WHY DOES HE SPARKLE IN THE SUNLIGHT? I GET SUNBURNT”

and in the winter time, even though you know he doesn’t get cold, you get matching woolen hats, and they’re kinda obnoxiously cute and ‘95 line always make fun of you two at work

also Jihoon tells you all his stories about being a vampire, and how not everyone is evil like Kim

Like you had figured from that night that Kyulkyung must be one but the shock when you found out Ong and Minhyun were too was almost too funny

a very gentle vampire

you wouldn’t think he would be a vampire upon first glance

like he looks so happy and sunshine-y all the time that it doesnt seem like it

but then you know guanlin saw him sipping blood from a coffee mug labeled “#1 sucker” and that was that

he also had to convince guanlin that he didn’t go around randomly feeding on people

no one knows his age

“a wise man never reveals his age.”

“isnt it secrets?”

“shh daniel, go eat your red meat.”

he may be a creature of the night but he is literal sunshine

he works as a doctor 

ha ha vampire as a doctor how generic

he genuinely likes helping people with his vast knowledge that he collected over the many many years hes been here

he lives in the little home above sungwoon’s shop

he drinks the packets of blood he gets from work that no one uses and is generally good about his feeding

he only ever needs to feed once every two weeks or so 

when he’s missed out on a feeding session due to something he secludes himself from other people until sungwoon is able to make a replacement blood supplement for him

when he goes without blood for a prolonged period of time his eyes turn red 

he tries to maintain his manners but he can only hold back the urges so long

don’t hurt his children he will bite

literally

hes very protective of those he has deemed as family

because he didn’t have a family for as long as he can remember

so the members are his family

Ha Sungwoon  

he has everything

tonic for sickness?

potion to make someone fall in love with you?

he sells those

yes, but he keeps it in a vial for some reason and no one knows why

he is following in the footsteps of his previous master and is running the old shop

which has been altered to look more like a store to blend in with society more

sungwoon didn't really grow up in society when he was training so he doesn't really get why he cant just rant about rabbits feet and troll leather and its magical properties in public

or why you cant just have this hut looking thing be inbetween large corporate buildings

the place where a lot of the members actually live is above his store 

but yeah he is a potion maker if you want to be real about this and he sells potions that generally are just used for pranks and makes the big money.

but he also is the one to help jisung when he cant get blood in time and never charges him.

actually he never charges any of wanna one.

he denies any statements about being soft as “i owed you a favor im just repaying it”

“you didnt trip me that one time thats why”

don’t let that tsundere attitude fool you hes soft for the members

overall him as an alchemist doesn't change much

he just has much more stuff

but overall he is a very smol potion maker who helps his friends with their ailments and cares a lot despite denying such 

Hwang Minhyun 

a literal Angel™

no really hes actually an angel

you can literally almost see the halo above his head

and he does have wings! 

he just hides them

because he knows that walking around with large hulking wings is not normal in society 

he came to earth a long time ago and is mostly done with humanity but still tries

its just hard sometimes

he came upon jisung a long time ago and despite,,, beliefs he had at first about what jisung was

(he literally tried to throw garlic at him and jisung just stared at him and laughed so hard he cried

minhyun was really confused)

he came to understand jisung and the two are close friends

nowadays he volunteers at local community centers and pounds

he says that he is a very responsible being but no one believes him

especially when he came home drenched wet holding a kitty in his jacket

“why didnt you just use your wings to cover you and the cat?”

“ill be honest, i didnt think of that at the time.”

he cleans the home they all live in because they are all such messes

well not all of them

actually its really only jaehwan

which he doesn't understand cause jaehwan is literally a ghost

he sings whenever he cleans and its the prettiest thing to hear 

it enamors all of the residents of the humble home

Ong Seongwoo

actually he’s just fully human

with a catch

he hunts down demons

not the ones who try to live peacefully like jisung

the bad ones that cause harm to people and other beings

a Good Demon Hunter ™

he doesn't necessarily live in the home with the rest of the gang 

mostly due to the fact he really cant put any of his equipment there without giving minhyun a heart attack

who wouldnt get the scare of a lifetime when you see someone casually polishing a large katana that had blood on it

but hes basically there 24/7 when he doesn’t have a job to do

like it’ll be three am and daniel would be getting up to get a drink and nearly go wolf and attack in surprise at seongwoo casually sitting on the couch watching tv eating some ramyeon 

daniel does help him with his job sometimes! but seongwoo doesn’t let him go to the dangerous ones

a. cause he cares about daniel

b. jisung would actually kill him

hes still a jokester and plays pranks with the others

tells spooky stories about demons hes hunted to rile up the kids

is then told off later by jisung who had to deal with daehwi nearly shooting his head off with a spell and woojin setting fire to his bed in alarm

“whoops”

when hes on the job tho

hoo boy

he turns so serious, a complete opposite from that jokester persona he puts on around the gang

there are a lot more jobs around halloween than any other time because hallow’s eve is when demons are at their highest activity rate

so that means he gets no sleep as he hunts down demons

he doesn’t stop until his job is done

so you could not see him for weeks

then all of a sudden hes just there eating corn flakes like

“sup, how ya doing?” 

and he’ll have his arm in a cast, multiple limbs wrapped up, and be limping

but is just so casual about it

Kim Jaehwan

so funny story

hes dead

no like

he died a while ago but

hes a ghost now

hes learned how to manifest his energy in a more physical being though!

but this is also a bad thing because

he plays pranks

all the time

and he haunts sungwoon and minhyun so imagine how fun that must be for them

everyone jokingly calls him a banshee and says to move on already but they don’t actually mean that

he knows that too

so he just blows a kiss towards them and laughs as the cringe away

when he does become a more physical version of himself, he likes to play the guitar when minhyun sings

the combo is lovely

he lays on the other members who complain

and he just goes 

“i’m a ghost you cant push me off thats disrespecting the dead”

they threaten with salt and its like wow suddenly he has to go water his roof

one time someone managed to break in and he scared them so bad by floating through the doors

he didn’t actually know that there was a burglar he was going to go try and get one of those vials that sungwoon made that lets him eat food so he can eat something

hes now the guard dog for the house. 

he doesn’t remember how he died, no one does, and he doesn’t like to talk about it

overall, he’s a very mischievous ghost who does care about the people he haunts. 

Kang Daniel

alright i think a lot of people saw this one coming

our boi is a wolf

actually, he’s pretty young for a wolf

he still has a hard time actually turning and prefers to just stay human to eat his food and do other things

he’s getting the hang of it don't worry

he has his hyungs and friends to help him

when he is able to turn he is just a big fluffy dog to be very honest

one time when they were having a picnic at the local park and daniel was in wolf form for the day, seongwoo jokingly threw a ball for daniel to catch, thinking he wouldn't

daniel chased it all the way into the forest and brought it back

needless to say he won’t be able to live that down

ever

“so pup, did you eat dinner yet”

“hyung stop, it was one time”

he cant really eat a lot of produced stuff well

it doesn’t sit right with him

he cant have chocolate either

which really bums him out

que sungwoon to the rescue again with a potion for everything

so he lives off meat and vegetables

but he is somehow able to eat gummies just fine

which he is scolded for but he still does it anyways

he dances in his free time when he isn’t in school

or you know hunting

he doesn’t hunt often, and when he does it is only with small creatures

he feels bad afterward and doesn’t come out of his room for a while

OH MAN HOLY SHIT IM FINALLY GETTING TO READ THE NEXT VOLUME OF SHOULDER-A-COFFIN KURO

man it was really fucking sweet that  bunch of friends the travellers made in earlier chapters helped nurse Kuro back to health after [the spoily bad thing] happened

and I TOTALLY FELL FOR the misdirect in the opening chapter! this series often has out-of-order flashbacks just casually thrown in, so i assumed this was them taking a break from the sad ‘will kuro be okay’ stuff to show us one of her pas adventrues, especially cos she was alone without nijiku and sanju. But NOPE this is her dream while she’s sleeping, and all the people she just helped move on to their next journey are actually all already dead and she was giving them hope for stuff they never really managed to achieve. Like HOLY SHIT when the last person she saw was a glimpse of an actual alive person and then she steps off the train and wakes up?? And you only realize it cos she says ‘But I thought his eyes were getting better’ about the last guy Kuro met, who had that head injury from the war, and its like ‘but he’s right there? why are you saying ‘I was too late’- OH GOD HOLY SHIT’. Like seriously, was he on the way to go home and died on the train and then she was there at the station and had to see it, after she’d waited for him for so long and just AAAAA. And like, if Kuro is briefly visiting the afterlife and having a choice to take the death train because she’s in this paralyzing moment of depression, is that why the lady was there too? Did Kuro accidentally save her from comitting suicide to be with him? Its really fuckin’ good luck that they were able to cross paths in this dreamworld and she could pass on his last words. But also its REALLY DEPRESSING that her telling him to ‘take the train home’ is like.. thats what he was trying to do when he was on the brink of death, and being unable to do it is why he stayed here waiting in this afterlife train station, hoping against hope that he’d somehow be able to actually see his hometown and his girlfriend again, when the only option he had was a far more depressing journey to take. So even though its good that kuro helped him be able to pass on instead of being in pain, but still, would he have actually been able to talk to his girlfriend if he’d waited just a few minutes more??? god this mysterious dream is so confusing and tantalizing aaaaaa it would be a really good way to kill my heart if we actually meet the girlfriend character in the real world later on and see how she’s getting her life back together after his death or if we meet more relatives of the dead folks we saw in that dream

ALSO its really good that Kuro is battling her suicidal inclinations now and actually feeling like she wants to live, because of these lil kids but at the same time its tragic cos she’s still got this deadly plague thats gonna kill her anyway, and its like.. having hope makes it hurt more and OH GOD the line about how she’s decided the new purpose of her journey is to ‘make a new path for them to follow when I’m gone’ she’s decided that instead of having to choose between them and her goal, its just gonna be that if she fails and ends up dying she just wants to have taught them enough to survive on their own afterwards. she could still feel her story was completed if it ends with her having given these kids a new life, even if she never finds out who the witch was or how to stop the curse. OH GOD I CRY SO MUCH FOR THIS WEIRD LITTLE FAMILY

and then OH MAN the mysterious flashback too! that was a good misdirect without even being a twist, sorta?? there’s no big revelation moment and knowing the thing doesnt really change anything, and honestly it makes me feel a bit ‘whoops i should have figured it out straight away’ lol Its a really cool way of delivering a stealth backstory for Sen! Cos we never saw his face in human form before, we kinda were expecting it to continue being shadowed or at least be revealed in some sort of actual reveal scene. but nope, we just get introduced to apparantly some new character who’s a loner prince everyone thinks is a vampire, and then WHOOPS it was sen all along! (also LOL DUDE YOU’LL BE A VAMPIRE IN LIKE FIVE SECONDS, DONT WORRY) And its so obvious in retrospect, we even see that he has a lil girl as his apprentice and he's like ‘just call me sensei, i dont want you to get attatched to me’. But she looks completely different to Kuro so at most I just thought ‘oh it’ll be some sort of analogy or moral to the main story or something’. And then seriously there is NO INSIGHT TO ANYTHING and no explanation of what happened to them or why, its just horribly shocking both to them and the audience. We just get some disconnected cute 4-koma adventures of flashback kuro and sen, revealing a little of how they first met, and then literally kuro just turns around the corner and the panels dissolve into horrifying shadowy hands that tear her apart as she begs sen not to touch her or he’ll be cursed too. AND IT JUST ENDS Like seriously, there wasnt even a STORY to the witch cursing them?? she just appeared in their house one day?? she was fuckin lurking in the library and cursed the first person she made eye contact with???? and sen got dragged into it too cos he was trying to save the poor kid, after all these panels of him being cynical jerk saying he doesn’t care about her, and just.. *SOB*

But actually, I’m wondering why his curse was so much different compared to the formula we’ve seen for every other case of it? its always been this one same disease that makes you rot apart into shadow stuff until you die. Why did he turn into 1000 bats instead? A random theory: maybe he actually did die, and this isn’t really the same curse as kuro’s, this is something that happened to him to save him. The first time we saw the curse in action was from that kid who innocently talked to the witch and wished to use magic too, so maybe it like.. actually is that? Maybe this curse is a literal granting of the wish, maybe this is how she passes on her powers and it just kills people who arent worthy, or something. So i dunno, maybe Kuro has some degree of witch magic locked away deep inside her rotting heart now, and she subconciously used it to save Sen’s life by cursing him with this different curse? that could be A Good Depressing Twist later, cos it could mean that if Kuro gets cured, Sen will die. And I mean, it would explain why Kuro doesnt know she has witch powers, maybe the constant upkeep of maintaining Sen’s spell is taking up all her energy, or something? We never get to see if Mo actually got her wish for magic powers in that terrifying flashback, we just see how she started dying of the shadow plague and then how Kuro found her on the last day of her life and they became friends and then HER LEGS FUCKING FELL OFF AND CRUMBLED INTO DUST AND HER EYE FELL OUT OF HER HEAD and then kuro’s last scrap of optimism died and she decided to carry Mo’s coffin forever out of certainty that the curse would indeed kill her, her quest would fail, and she’d better be prepared for her own funeral And like, when i first read that chapter I thought that this was where Kuro got the curse?? I thought it was contagious from touch or something and by giving Mo a bit of peace on her deathbed she’d picked it up from her. (Though that wouldnt explain why nobody’s ever got infected from interacting with kuro throughout the rest of the story, so it was a bit confusing.) But now we know that apparantly Kuro got the disease way earlier and Mo was just the closest clue she’s ever got to finding the witch again, and a horrible vision of the future that will await her when her curse finishes its course. It makes the whole chapter way more depressing, cos you know the whole time she was suffering from the same disease and she just didnt wanna ruin Mo’s hope that she’d met some cool traveller who was totally gonna go on and live a long life of all the adventures she wanted to have. GODDDD THIS SERIESSSS

and okay seriously THE WORST BIT THAT DESTROYED ME is that we find out the evil witch who did this to both of them is actually the same person as the apaprantly good witch we saw in an earlier chapter who befriended those kids and had a badass retort to the asshole guy and just was really cool?? And its even more depressing if she isnt really evil at all and maybe somehow thinks what she’s doing is helping? she was really innocent in that first chapter and didnt seem to know much about humans. So like.. who did she meet? What did she do? Who taught her something very VERY wrong in the time between that flashback and now? is this just the result of some small shred of her old self left, her wanting to ‘help’ more children...? Cos actually it was kind of a big hint in that chapter, she said ‘i will give you one of my voices’ when she taught that kid how to read as ‘payment’ for him helping her learn what a ‘witch’ is, and that she can be a good one if she wants to. So I mean.. is this just her trying to more literally give part of herself to others to help them, not knowing that it’s hurting them, or maybe being so twisted now that she doesnt even care? ITS SO DEPRESSING! Its funny how I loved and trusted this literal eldritch abomination I saw in this chapter goofily dressing herself up in people clothes and practising pick-up lines, and how terrified I was of what I assumed was a perfectly normal human witch who hurt these poor children. But now its even more depressing if we have this strange nonhuman creature who everyone treated as evil, who was good at heart, who made her first friend, who had so much futrue ahead of her, and then just SOMETHING has happened that sent her down the path of becoming that evil thing everyone said she was in the beginning...

Oh and also i really like the theory I saw that she’s another alchemy experiment of the professor who created Nijiku and Sanju? Cos people call her ‘Hifumi’ and thats a name that can mean a number, same as those two. And it might maybe explain why the professor died in the first place. We just hear him saying he has to finish something before he can allow them out of their cage, and then he never comes back down that staircase ever again, and kuro sees some other empty cage next to his body... Oh and also WHY DONT YOU JUST FUCK ME UP, FINAL CHAPTER IN THIS VOLUME, HOLY SHITTTT It actually fits A LOT with this theory... The last chapter has Sanju accidentally horribly injuring a kitten she was trying to hold, and being terrified because it cant just be stitched together like a toy, or.. well, like herself. We see a flashback of how the twins would break a lot back when they were first created, and the professor would just stitch back Sanju’s one arm that kept rotting off. And they’re like.. kinda terrifyingly eldritch too, more than just simple lil kids who can shapeshift into animals. There was that earlier flashback about how they took a long time to adjust to having physical bodies, and used to phase through walls like ghosts until the professor explained how a cage is supposed to work. Like... only being limited by the laws of reality once they hear them spoken aloud. And apparantly they sat sleeping in those alchemy tubes for a long time and might have even like.. slowly developed into humanoid forms, they might have been some sort of visually terrifying thing in their newborn state. We the audience know that they’re just the same as any other innocent kid in personality, that they’re good kiddos no matter how they were born. But then sometimes we get reminded of their actual origins, and how they’d be potentially VERY dangerous in the wrong hands. And like.. even now we’ve just had a really sad reminder how they can be dangerous even when they’re being raised as normal kids by our kind protagonist, how just forgetting that they lack something that normal humans have can lead to this traumatic experience of one of them killing a small animal and not understanding that it cant be fixed, gAAAAAAHHHH :( Also the associated flashback was REALLY FUCKED UP, holy shit! you see the professor talking about redesigning their next beta with a sense of pain, so they stop accidentally breaking themselves, and apparantly he only managed to finish that modification to nijiku before he died. or, perhaps he only intended to give it to one of them, and is having this creepy detatched view of them where he can think ‘hey I’ll deliberately leave one broken to act as a test case’. that would actually fit a lot with the subtle stuff we know, like how apparantly when they were first born they’d randomly grow and de-grow and fluctuate everything between humanoid and animallike. And he notes how Sanju’s hair always returns to a long length whenever its cut, and just... like, he didnt fix that in her but it seems like Nijiku doesnt have the same problem? Does this mean that he actually did give nijiku a bunch of extra features and not fix mistakes that were hindering sanju, that he’s been doing that from the very beginning? I just thought it was maybe that nijiku never had the same hair problem, but I mean it seems like they started off identical in every other way. God I hope its not gonna be revealed that the prof never loved them at all and he was an abusive dad :(
