fab nygmobblepot moments that remind you of kd uwu

I want to use this moment to be sorry to everyone that follows me but keeps seeing my blog full of Nygmobs/Smaylor instead of kaisoo. I usually don’t get attached to otps like this and it happened in an unexpected way for me. But it’s here and I need to compensate for all the years I didn’t watch Gotham and had no idea about Nygmobs spamming everyone and making my heart warm.

But in general, nygmobblepot isn’t a vision of ideal relationship. Both Edward and Oswald (their surnames Cobblepot and Nygma were the ones who originated this name) are stupid and do stupid shit to each other during most of the series. So, a lot of moments related with the actors counterpart (Robin is the actor who plays Oswald and Cory who plays Ed) reminds me of kaisoo more. But a warning here! Although they have a HUGE chemistry on and off screen, they’re mostly friends. Robin is married for almost ten years so it doesn’t mean their closeness is romantic or sexual. But still, some details remind me of kd.

Similarities with nygmobs:

Height difference: it applies to Smaylor as well because it’s their height but it’s really visible in the series. Cory is a bit taller than JI I think and Robin is like 1.65 but KS is not that taller (I can’t believe he’s 1.73 at all, sorry). But, again, this factor is evident during the series and in some moments and it’s cute.

Penguin reference? That’s pretty obvious. Of course I didn’t start shipping nygmobs because one of them is small and has the Penguin nickname but it made so much easier for me to read some of their fics with kd as characters because they fit the profile so much! And also, I believe KD would totally fit the “murder husbands” couple if someone did a fanfic where they just kill everyone. The closest I remember of a fanfic with this criteria is Juice Pouche where Kyungsoo is a vampire and he protects Jongin and Jongin is kind of badass as well. But the kd fandom needs more fics like this. There’s also “(Before the night is over) come see me” where KS is also a vampire and JI a young werewolf but it focuses more on their relationship than a murder husbands idea Gotham shows so well. 

How they met: Gotham’s history has a lot of differences if you compare with other universes, so keep that in mind. In Gotham, Ed works with GCPD but doesn’t feel like himself with the good side. Oswald is the character that spices things up and is a rage of death and destruction and manipulation. But Oswald is infatuated with Jim Gordon (so isn’t the first time it’s implied Penguin is gay) but he goes to the police department to see him. Ed sees him and wants to talk to him no matter the cost. And he does that... And things don’t end that friendly for him because Oswald thinks he’s a weirdo and asks him to fuck off, basically. It reminded me of kd’s first meeting where KS was the one admiring JI all along but JI get frightned. But, during their second meeting, they bond and become friends. For Nygmobs it takes more time for their second meeting but they end up developing and being in good terms :’)

Their personas, sort of: Ed is the tall one, younger and logic. Oswald is the oldest, smaller and that thinks with his heart. I love how JI could show the more logic side of himself during the last few years and, again, while reading Nygmobs fics using kd names, it was easy to fit the profile for me (that was during the time I wasn’t too deep into nygmobs and I didn’t knok them that well. KS looks cold and deatached and that’s why many people got impressed when he said, during Knowing Bros that he would choose love over friendship. He doesn’t play the part but, considering all the context, it fits him pretty well and reading this description of Oswald made me so familiar because it fits KD well. Ofc I don’t know their private lives and whatever but it’s just the impression I had as a viewer and random person;

Drama issue: when I say drama here, it’s related with how people percieve the two OTPs and how different people visualize LGBT relationship in media. Nygmobblepot had a lot of drama involved because they’re the fucking Riddler and Penguin, two of the most famous Batman villains. People saw them in different sorts of media before and others idolize those characters because of videogames and comics. So, when Oswald mentioned expressedly that he was in love with Edward, it caused an uproar in the fandom. People accused the producers and Robin of messing with the comic canon because the fucking Penguin became gay??? Robin was outspoken about the homophobia behind those statements since he’s a gay man himself but yeah, the drama existed. Part of the people invovled with the series rooted for Nygmobblepot, including some writers and the actors (Cory was the one with ambiguous messages about the nature of their relationship but it’s not even close what happened with other series like Supergirl, Supernatural and Sherlock). But it was aired by FOX, a right wing channel and, as you may imagine, they didn’t become canon per se. Actually, after Oswald said he was in love with Ed and planned on confessing to him, the writers presented a clone of Ed’s ex girlfriend with no explanation and purpose, only to separate them for most part of the series future. After that, some people seemed to have FORGOTTEN Oswald was once in love with Edward, rationalizing many things that are hard to explain with a “bro explanation”, they had a scene where the characters would have evolved even more but it was CUTTED and CHANGED and execs added the sentence “we’re brothers” to make EXPLICIT that Nygmobblepot’s relationship wouldn’t be interpreted as a romance at the end of the series (but, honestly, the actors went for the romance path anyway, the deleted scenes and the final episode can’t convince me otherwise).

What’s related with KD, may you ask? I think you’re familiar with all the drama KD faced since 2016 and how many stuff exploded during that time. How many parts are involved into creating a certain image and shifting it to be appealing and “friendly” is similar with what happens with idols. It’s no secret now about many scandals of bullying and other issues that are considered problematic and how they need to be pushed under the rug for companies so idols can make money and be profitable. Especially for male idols, it’s important that they are viewed as desirable and an object of the fans affections. That’s why he needs to be handsome and kind and look like a person that doesn’t exist. If an idol is openly gay, this person isn’t viewed by the major public with the same interest because they can’t fit the fantasy. That’s why scandals involving idols being gay need to be forgotten and deleted from people’s minds, otherwise that celebrity is ostracized. Although we tend to see the Ocident as “progressive”, there’s similar things happening in that industry. If a celebrity is openly LGBT, they don’t receive certain roles or opportunities because of it. There’s still a huge stigma that needs to be broken and we, as a society, are so far way from it. But recognizing those differences exist it’s a step forward.

Similarities with Smaylor

For me, one of the reasons Nygmobblepot works so well is because of the actors. They portrait a good chemistry because of their friendship off screen and some non verbal signs they display around each other are amazing. Those are things that remind me more of KD as we see them in a lot of moments. So, I wanted space to show those comparisons below:

Mutual admiration: it’s something both Smaylor and KD display a LOT and is extrememly outspoken. I really love watching their old interviews because the affection and admiration is so genuine it makes me drawn to them despite not being romantically involved.

The fact the actors came up with their OTP names: people tend to forget that KD’s real otp name (according with Jongin) is dika. Cory also came up with Nygmobblepot name and Smaylor too <3

So, meanwhile Nygmobs has thropies that work a lot with KD AUs, Smaylor has healthy dynamics seen in public appearances KD made. Like I said above, there’s a huge polemic about shipping Smaylor romantically because Robin is married. On social media, is visible he loves his husband and it’s pretty cute to see. Cory himself mentioned that their relationship was sort of a platonic friendship (whatever that means) but it’s really genuine in terms of affections and display of admiration, something KD has as well.

Probably someone will question that it may changed the way I see KD or if now I ship them as bros. Nothing about that changed. With KD, although there are some similar details, there are internal AND external factors that made me support them in a romantic perspective in the first place. And it didn’t change. 

But both of them (Nygmobs too) make me feel that I’m testimoning something genuine, which is really hard in both kpop and media universes. In one side, we have a LOT of fanservice. And, in the other, it’s mostly a work interaction with lots of queerbating. Yes, Gotham has queerbating aspects in it but it’s not full of queerbating, if it makes sense. The message the actors and some writers wanted to convey are there and really display a romantic direction with character evolution and growth. And, considering the way media is nowadays, it’s nice to see.

You yawned, mindlessly paying attention to the cup of coffee that you were currently brewing in the kitchen. A ping from your phone caught your attention, a notification on V-Live that your boyfriend was streaming. Immediately, you clicked on the app, letting the live load and play in the background while you did your morning routine and got ready.

“Hello Carats~”

You smiled as your boyfriend’s glowing face showed up on screen. With the way his hair was hidden by his hat, you could tell that the boys just finished practice for their recent comeback. You were actually on your way to go see him, after you woke up a little bit more of course.

Although you had to admit, it was hard productively getting ready when you kept watching your boyfriend on screen and listen to him chat. Somehow—after 30 minutes—you were in your car and driving to your boyfriend’s company building. __________

“Any funny episodes during filming?” Soonyoung read aloud one of the comments. He hummed, thinking to himself, “Filming Coups hyung’s car scene was really funny for some reason, I don’t know. Soonyoung scrolled through more comments and chattered off, eyes darting to the time and back to the camera every once in a while. He was debating whether he should text you to see if you’ve woken up, you were like a rock when it came to sleep.

The boy smiled at the mention of you in one of the comments, “y/n’s doing good, we’re supposed to go on a date later, but I don’t know if they’re awake yet,”

As if a switch went off, the comments went crazy asking about you and about your relationship. Soonyoung whined as an influx of comments started clowning him, “When was our first kiss, hmm what are you guys thinking? “y/n was literally so red, what are you talking about hyung?” Mingyu scoffed from the side, but off camera. He and Wonwoo were on the other side of the room working on lyrics for a new song, when Soonyoung came in and started his live. “You embarrassed the life out of ‘em.”

“That’s why it was unforgettable,” Soonyoung winked waving off to the two rappers who were snickering. “How did you and y/n meet? Ah! I actually met y/n through Seungkwan, it’s a bit crazy—eh not that crazy,”  he laughed, “y/n’s one of Seungkwan’s friends from Jeju and they came to one of our concerts during the Diamond Edge tour. Seungkwan-ie introduced us to y/n afterwards and what can I say? it was love at first sight.”

“Eyy don’t lie,” Wonwoo said. The dancer gave him a slight grimace, “we all know y/n was totally crushing on Jun when we first met-”

“Hey! This is my v-live!” Soonyoung whined as Wonwoo approached his set-up. He put his arm around Soonyoung’s shoulders as he waved to the camera, “We tease Hoshi and y/n about it all the time, Hoshi was so obvious about his interest in y/n though, he somehow convinced ‘em to fall for him”

“What do you mean convinced?” Soonyoung said shocked hitting his friend’s arm, “y/n was totally into me too! They were the first one to confess—stop interrupting my live, go back to writing!”

Wonwoo laughed as he went back to his work, leaving Soonyoung alone in the frame. The boy went back to talking with the fans and answering questions, “How did the members react when we first started dating? The guys were clapping when I told them-”

“It’s because they were literally pining over each other for a year!”

“We were really busy! I didn’t know if I had time to commit to a relationship. But you know, I’m glad I took the risk. And after y/n confessed, I just knew I had to cuff,” He smiled, “and it honestly isn’t that bad, we see each other pretty often, especially during breaks. The hardest part is when we go on tours, I miss y/n basically as soon as we leave and we’re apart for at least months.”

You walked into the room mere moments later, a frown on your face as you approached your boyfriend, “Hey! Stop telling the fans that I confessed to you first, you liar!”

The three boys emerged in laughter at your comment as Soonyoung pulled a chair over and grabbed your hand, motioning for you to take a seat. You pointed a finger to the camera, “Don’t listen to Hoshi, everyone. He’s the one that confessed to me first, he was crying too-”

“I was not crying! I was sweating because of practice,” The boy said defensively as he put his arm around your chair, “Okay fine, I confessed to y/n first. Did I ever tell you what pushed me into confessing?”

You shook your head, turning to face him. He let out a small smile at the memory, “Jihoon-ah Woozi-was the one that sort of made me realize that I should tell you. I was in a bit of a slump at the time, with choreographing and everything. My mind was just a mess and I had a bad day in the recording studio. He literally starting yelling at me and saying, just man up and tell y/n that you like them! He also said a bunch of other stuff but I’m censoring it,” He teased, “We talked about it for two hours.”

“I should thank Jihoon-ie then,” You chuckled squeezing his cheeks together with one of your hands. “You were pretty stressed at that time, Soon.”

“Yeah, but after we got together, all my inspiration came back.” He grinned quickly pecking your cheek. You smiled, your cheeks heating up at his words. 

“Ah you guys are so cute, it’s gross.” Wonwoo called from the side making you both laugh. Soonyoung started reading through the comments again, chatting easily with the fans. “Mm babe, there’s a question for you—what’s it like dating Hoshi oppa?”

You hummed, crossing your arms together as if in deep thought, “Dating Hoshi oppa? It’s never boring, especially with all his members around. Soonyoung’s a great boyfriend, he always knows how to make me smile, even if I’ve had a rough day. He never lets me go to sleep without telling me that he’s thinking of me. Yeah...he’s sweet, I wouldn’t ask for anyone else—even if he’s annoying sometimes.”

The boy scrunched his face at your ending, poking your side in retaliation, making you jolt in surprise. You hit his chest playfully, whining that you were ticklish. Soonyoung grinned, saying a quick apology, before putting his arm around you again. “Alright answer one more question and then we’re going to say goodbye so we can eat some food.”

You nodded, your eyes trained on the flood of comments passing through the screen. “y/n, what’s your favorite thing about Hoshi oppa?”

“Hey, I didn’t see that one-”

“It was there babe, trust me.” He said cheekily as he squeezed your waist. You gave your boyfriend a look of disbelief, but answered regardless, “Hm, there’s a lot, but my favorite thing would have to be his eyes. When you look into Soonyoung’s eyes, you can see everything. His passion, energy, mischief, love, everything. It’s easy to get lost in.”

“It’s that tiger gaze,” He said proudly, making you scoff. “Soon, you ruined the mood!”

“Babe, did I lie?” Soonyoung asked making you roll your eyes. He smiled sweetly pulling you in for a hug, “Say it once y/n, please?”

“No,” you said, immediately knowing what he was asking you to do. He whined, shaking your body childishly, “C’mon, the fans want to hear it, do it for Carats if not for me.”

You grimaced at him, rubbing your temples as you sighed, “horanghae.”

Your boyfriend smiled in victory, cooing his catchphrase before you both said your goodbyes and ended the live. Soonyoung grinned, giving you a proper kiss hello. “I missed you,”

“I missed you too,” You said softly, leaning into his embrace. He hummed, nuzzling his face into your hair, finding comfort in your scent. “You guys saw each other two days ago.”

“Being a bitter single is an ugly color, Wonwoo.” You quipped jokingly as you both stood and approached the two rappers to give them greeting hugs. The four of you exchanged some light conversation before you and Soonyoung bid your goodbyes, “Where do you want to go eat, Soon? Japanese?”

“You know me so well, babe.” He said fondly, kissing the back of your hand. “Let me take a shower first? I’m still gross from practice.”

You nodded as you started your car, already driving in the direction of your apartment. The ride back was content, both of you loudly singing along to whatever was playing on the radio. You complained at Soonyoung every now and then, his hand that was on your thigh moving too much that you were afraid he would accidentally hit the wheel and cause your car to swerve. He only smiled, daringly leaning over to press a kiss on your cheek whenever you scolded him. “Hm, you’re in a good mood baby, practice went well?”

He nodded excitedly, “Our last run throughs went perfectly, I can’t wait for you and the fans to see it on stage, well...on the television.”

Now refreshed, he smelled of citrus and flowers, the scent pleasantly filling your nose. You grinned and cuddled into him, sharing the view of your phone so that you two watched the tik toks together. “Are you hungry Soon-ie? We can still make it to the Japanese place for the lunch special.”

He nodded, kissing the side of your neck, “In a minute, let me hold you for a little longer.”

“Hey,” You said after a beat of silence. You poked his side, laughing as he jolted up in surprise, “don’t you lie to your fans about our relationship again, huh? it was a two way street!”

Hey dear anon. I’m sorry it has taken so long to post this but I had to decide on the moments. Also you didn’t censor anything omg....let’s hope the wolves don’t find this. 

The biggest one is definitely the one from 4/1. The same day that Kxk came out Ekso had a schedule and Kd were just so sad. They had tears in their eyes. It’s like they were there but they weren’t really in the moment. Like they were dissasociating.

Ji kept looking at Ksoo and Ksoo had tears in his eyes. If you look at this video you’ll see that Ksoo can barely hold his tears in when he sings his lines near the end. And then he looks at Ji when he says the line ‘do you know how much you mean to me?’. The members stand up but chankaisoo don’t. Pcy is a close friends of kd and he was visibly sad too when kxk came out. The members have to get them to stand up like trying to cheer them (and the fans) up. The fact that this was on the same day that the kxk article was posted. It was just a few hours after. These emotions are raw. You can’t fake them.

Then it’s this moment when ekso celebrated something and took this photo where Ksoo twists his arm and grabs Ji by the jaw/neck. This is soooo intimate. I’ve seen so many couples do this, even my parents lol. I think they were very drunk here that’s why Ksoo allowed himself to take a photo in this manner. Or maybe they thought it wouldn’t be published? Ji’s hand forever stands in the way of truly seeing it.

This next moment is just as funny as it is obvious. Ji was just so jealous and petty in this one. Just because Ksoo called insung, ‘insungie-hyung’.

Look at him smiling sourly and pouting while the others members are like woah. He stands out like a sore thumb. I just want to tell him it’s not that serious and insung is not gonna take ksoo from him. :)) I’d like for any skeptics out there what was the reason for his reaction?? Like what was the reason?? It’s just his dumb jealous self and that’s that.

Then this one of Ji taking Soo’s hand under the table and Soo worriedly looking at the camera to see if it got on tape. Yes Soo it got, but it’s okay. 

And lastly this glorious pic that if it had been between a female and male idol everyone would go nuts about it. This is just mind blowing to me that kd have smth like this which any other member doesn’t have. And people outside the kd fandom don’t even talk about it or know that it exits. Like what were they thinking with this?? are they the kind of couple to take pics in bed?? Just two bros taking a selfie in bed on top of each other in their comfy clothes. Need I say more.

As for your other question, I just think it’s easier to get matches for Ji and make people believe he is dating all these girls because he had the bad boy/sexy/playboy image since debut. It’s harder for them to get a match for Ksoo since they like to make these aesthetic couples who look alike and work in the same business filed. It’s hard to get a believable couple for Ksoo because of his personality and appearance, but it’s SO EASY for people to ship Ji with every girl since he looks like prince charming. Just thinking about how there was that rumor of ksoo/sojin and the majority of the people who didn’t believe if it was because they totally didn’t match in terms of visuals.

Another reason is because Ksoo’s acting career already gives him material for the hetero agenda. He interacts with women for every one of his projects. But it’s interesting how he only recently got romantic roles. The characters he got at the beginning didn’t really have a romantic interest. The 100 days drama really helped to change his image for good. Since Ji doesn’t really act they had to find other ways. So how do you push the het agenda on a dancer/model like himself? Well ofc you catch him on dates with his other model gfs, framing it as forbidden, furtive etc. This is the appeal of his image. That he has to hide with all the pretty model gfs he has. Ksoo works in a heteronormative field and it’s expected for him to have a woman. There’s not much appeal in him getting caught on dates like it is for normal idols. In a way the acting career protects him and his reputation for now. This is the difference between a model and an actor.

Whether this enlistment was voluntary or not, we will never know the real reason. We only know that Ks for now still have a contract and Ji is sad. Some speak of a third scandal, but I find it improbable. If the reason for the enlistment was to end with rumors as a couple, the enlistment and the exits with the friends for the laity is enough. What hypothesis do you imagine for everything that is happening with KD in 2019.

Little did we know that this goodbye party also meant for him. How he also had storm in his heart n head but he decided to show us what level headed was. His calmness facing what he have to bear is amazed me right now.

I still think it wasn't pure his decision to enlist this early. He must be did this for something stronger than his own interests. One for sure, knowing his personality, this decision wasn't for him. I always believe in two possibilities : 1, to avoid another fake scandal for JI, n 2, for ekso cb stronger in 2022.

Third scandal will be ineffective, imo. Idols are sold for their almost perfect image by their company. And third scandal isn't a good image they will build for JI. KS being inside barracks has same effect of that fake scandal anyway, KD separation from public's eyes is after all what their company wants all this time.

As a group, ekso has strong bonds between members, and this enlistment schedule must be already in their minds since last year. Bcs they know 2019 is the beginning of all this absence.

I also believe that KS's early enlistment idea shown after the end of jxk fake scandal. Bcs, we all know he still thought ab doing concert in February on December interview.

KS has prove us that everything he want (stages, concerts, sing with his friends this year) n his recognition from acting world were less important than this early enlistment decision.

Im not trying to predict anything, this isn't prediction blog anyway, but i believe we will get another surprise after this. After concerts, stages, n tour, solo, duo, bcs KS's love to either JI or his brothers is not one sided. They do this together as a group. To protect each other.

Maybe the whole group will enlist next year, the end of next year tops, so they can come back strong in 2022.

I've been following kaisoo since the end of 2018 and I get a bit confused at times. I do not know if they're friends or boyfriends. I have no idea how Korean men behave in a friendship or courtship.What moments did you realize that they are not just friends?I heard comments about a secret apartment, is this true and what is the basis?

Well, welcome to the world of KD! It’s normal to be confused, especially when you’re new to something. If you want my honest answer, I don’t know if they’re boyfriends or friends either, because they haven’t said they’re more than friends and I’m not a part of their inner circle. However, I do have my own opinion based on observation, and applying the knowledge I’ve gained over my many years on this earth to what I’m seeing with them (in other words I’m old and have seen a lot). 

I’m no expert on Korean culture, but I do know a bit since I’ve been into kpop for almost 15 years. For sure, Korean men can show more affection to each other, in a purely platonic way, than men in the Western world. Western sensibilities are essentially paranoid about male/male affection. So much so that any type of affection shown is automatically seen as gay. Thankfully I think that’s slowly changing. In Korea, however, males can show all kinds of affection without it automatically seeming gay. I think that’s because culturally they believe (older generations anyway) that homosexuality is a Western ‘problem’ that doesn’t exist in Korea. And if it doesn’t exist, then there’s no reason to worry about what male/male affection might mean. I do think they are wising up, and the younger generation is more aware, so they are making strides in becoming more accepting. Even when taking into account the acceptability of male/male affection in Korea, my conclusion is still that kd are more than friends. And every time I try to talk myself out of that opinion, I remember those things I just can’t pass off as platonic.

For the secret apartment theory, some believe they live together in their own apartment, but it’s possible they have their own individual apartments where they can spend time with each other as well. I’m sure they still use the dorms when it’s convenient, but I don’t believe that’s where their primary living spaces are. You can read lots of theories online, but here are a couple of posts to check out. x x 

It’s funny that you ask what moments led me to believe they are more than friends, because I’ve had a post in my drafts for a while on just that subject. Of course it’s not finished, so I never posted it. I don’t make gifs, and I’m not going to steal anyone else’s, so the best I can do is link you to some posts that cover those moments. I’m going to put those under the cut. I apologize it’s not as complete as I’d like.

1. The Asian Idol Awards. On that night KD were on fire! They sat next to each other and we  are blessed to have fancams from different angles. JI moving his chair closer to KS, and then play footsie with him, KS rubbing JI’s finger in a very suggestive way, JD teasing JI by touching KS’s thigh, KS whispering intimately to JI, them feeling each other’s hair, JI taking a peek at KS’s chest as he slightly opens his vest, and generally just being all about each other. 

2. The fact that JI and KS were both aroused on stage at the same time while dancing, and another time when KS was aroused he pulled JI over to sit on his lap (to hide it). 

3.  Pre-debut pics showing them being very close, and one of those pics showing KS lying on top of JI. 

4. How many times they mention love in relation to each other. JI saying he loves KS over and over, and KS also saying it in his own way. Sorry I didn’t find posts for this, but they’re out there!

5. And pretty much moments like these, where the eyes say so much. x x

There are MANY more moments. I could fill this post up with hundreds of moments. But I just don’t have the time. My cats are walking on my keyboard and yelling at me to play! Haha, they really don’t let me live! Also, I’m really not the best person to ask about kd because I don’t save stuff or organize them in any meaningful way, so I just have to go looking for them. What's your opinion on the KD and The Show story?

that it’s finally over and people are misunderstanding a lot of things, so I’m just going to sumarize and move on because it’s not good for anyone to hold onto this any longer

People are saying it was uncalled for to suspect from The Show but the thing is that this is not the first time The Show makes mistakes and gives awards to the wrong artist. In fact AOA won during Good Luck era but it turned out to be a mistake and they had to give back the award and apologize for the amount of hate they were receiving even though it wasn’t their fault. People act like Elvis had no reason to suspect The Show but they did, kinda personally if I may add. 

Elvis didn’t attack Daniel (because as I mentioned they know what’s like for their idols to be blamed for something out fo their control) They wanted an explanation from The Show because the numbers didn’t add up, but that (as it has been explained now) it’s because The Show didn’t specify well how they collected their data. While they made it sound like physical only counted albums being bought, it also meant downloads, hence the confusion. The Show puts more weight over one category than other too, so the overal objective results don’t really count, that’s what we know now.

ELVIS and KD fans have already talked about this, many ELVIS have apologized because this whole thing happened amidst Daniel receiving backlash from the MMA thing and the hate he was already receiving because of his music, which has resulted in him leaving that message and no one feels good about it or is hating on him becuase of this

KD fans are getting a bad rep because they are demanding an apology from AOA and ASTRO when they personally had nothing to do with this. You would think they would be busy supporting daniel but instead you got 30 y/o women not letting go of the subject even though is over, holding onto it as if having his seniors harrassed in his name would make Daniel feel any better. He’s a kid that has been harrassed since he debuted and this year has been the worst for him, the last thing he needs is to have seniors having a bad image of him.

I was asking if anyone wanted to know about my “Butler AU” with Eiji and Camus but I think I need to clarify this What I should have said was this “Did you want to hear a thing about how Camus recruits Eiji to be his new Junio and trains him to just about become a butler worthy of a Count?” Nevertheless I am definitely a man of my word to write this so let’s have some fun kds

So imagine for about 30 seconds its a nice day out and all is pretty peaceful (especially in the QN camp) and well...they got a little bored (Camus especially but this ties into the thing in a few minutes) so they pack up their things from their Apartment and head back to Shining Agency since their Juniors are on their first ever World Tour and as you know “When the Cat’s away the mice will play” (I might have that backwards but let’s roll with it) ANYWAYS! So Reiji and Co. head down to the President’s Office and go knock on the door to have a chat with him about a project of their own they had in mind. See QN likes STARISH and of course respects them (especially after both Triple S comps) but they see A LOT of potential in HEAVENS and knowing that they probably came VERY CLOSE on the two (legal) attempts they had to beat them...maybe a little more training wouldn’t hurt? So Reiji cos to see Shining about this idea that he has where they (QUARTET NIGHT) decide that they will take HEAVENS on as their new Juniors and Shining is a little skittish about the idea after what happened with Eiichi and Otoya (perfectly understandable even if it was a big misunderstanding with Eii’s intentions) but he goes “...Aight!” and agrees to let them do it as long as Raging agrees but THEY had to go get his okay and no one else LOVELY So Reiji remembers he has the phone # to Raging’s office (We’ll go with the idea that Eiichi gave it to him while they were in the hallway during the conmpetition) and gives a ring to Raging to seek his permission.  Grumpy ol’ Raging (even we HEAVENS fans can agree Rage is a grump and an ass okay?!) answers and after some LENGTHY discussion he agrees to let them do it under the condition that QN reports back at least once a month to him about how its going...they agree (If you want to know why he wants them to report to him about the project...its more a thing where HE would rather be the one to teach them and Rage is like legit...not sure if “Jealous” is the right word but there is some emotion going on in him that he can’t explain so he made them report to him) NOW WE GET TO THE PART I PROMISED! So the “Butler” thing THAT wasn’t a group decision...the original plan that Reiji had was they were going to take the duet partners of their former Juniors and train them...that happens with ALMOST all of them save ONE and the only reason is cos the dude was gonna be coached by Camus EIJI OTORI! Here is how it went down So HEAVENS gets to the Dorms 2 days later after Eiichi had a long talk with them saying that it was going to benefit both parties and they would be learning under some skilled Masters and they knew about the success of “God’s S.T.A.R.” so it was definitely going to help them. Reiji greets them all in the Common Room and explains what their role was and what they wanted to do (and HEAVENS was thankful for it) but all the while Reiji is explaining this Camus is eyeballing Eiji something fierce and the Prodigy Idol can feel it but doesn’t react yet.  Unbeknownst to everyone in the room he secretly WANTED to work for Camus after seeing what his training did for Haruka and Joshua. After Rei explained everything everyone was getting ready to go to their dorms and Reiji thought he was getting BOTH Otoris BUT Camus had other ideas! “HALT!” Camus bellowed and everyone just STOPS...like no joke you would have thought you were in a library that is how quiet it was and without a moment’s hesitation Camus tells Eiji he’s coming with him because he had big plans for him and this BAFFLES Reiji because that wasn’t the original idea for the project but Camus wasn’t having it and asked Eiji if he wanted to go with the “Jester” or be trained by a “Proper Royal” and to everyone’s shock Eiji accepted the offer of the Count! (If you wonder why it shocked everyone in the room its because it was BELIEVED that Eiji wouldn’t have the personality to hang with His Excellency...they were about to be shook to their core) So now the project as a MUCH DIFFERENT fact to it and some things got juggled.  Instead of Kira working with Ran (Like he thought) he and Eiichi were working with Reiji now and Ran got Shion and Yamato.  Nagi and Van ended up with Ai which was a HELL of a fun time for the robot there but it actually worked out especially with Van being the elder he was a very good listener and kept Nagi in line for Ai so there were no issues there. Eiji’s training though... While Eiji is an idol that doesn’t mean his ability to pick up things easily goes away...Camus learned that when he gave his order for the tea and after explaining it one time Eiji was very quick to figure out where everything was to make it proper for him within HOURS! But something else interesting was going to happen over the next day or two You see...Eiji not only picked up on Camus’ routine to the point where he never had to ask almost instantaneously BUT Eiji was also becoming very conscious about his attire around the Count and he remembered how Joshua always dressed when he works with him...Eiji wanted to take it a step further “Camus Sir” Eiji began “I was thinking...” Eiji trailed off and this got his Senior’s attention “Yes?  What is it Ootori?” Camus asked in his usual blunt matter and Eiji continued “Well I was thinking...if I am to work under you as your Junior I’m wondering if I’m not...”underdressed” for the part.  Do you think if we get a free moment we might be able to fix this problem?” Eiji asked and the THUD everyone heard from the Count’s room was his jaw going through the floor! “You’re serious about this aren’t you?” Camus asked after he overcame his shock and Eiji nodded.  His reasoning as Camus found out was that he was almost always going out in a hoodie and he knew darn well that wasn’t acceptable for working with him so Camus agreed to make sure that their next free day (which was going to be a while cos Camus was kind of booked up hard for the next couple of weeks) he would get Eiji fixed up properly. What caused the next “THUD Moment” was when they were going to go out and Camus asked this “So...what are we looking for to change your appearance up?” Camus asked and Eiji answered without a moment’s hesitation! “A Butler’s Outfit sounds nice...It only seems right if I am working for you after all” This time Camus damn near FAINTED at the suggestion...Was Eiji feeling alright? No matter because after he overcame his temporary shock the Count agreed to take him and get him done up right but he DID give him one piece of advice. “I like the ideas you are giving to change your outer appearance working for me but the one thing you have to know is that Joshua occasionally had to give the hammer to people around here when they were acting up.  That is something that needs to come with time with you but I think you can do it.  You are an incredibly gifted young man and I see nothing but good things for you in the future Eiji.” Camus explained and legit Eiji took the compliment in stride while writing the notes about what Joshua did and tried his best to be able to flip the switch on when needed and...that took a little longer than learning Camus’ routine BUT he learned how to be more forceful even with his brother and LORD did that come off as a shock to Eiichi but he learned one thing:  If his bro is in “Butler Mode” mind your P’s and Q’s quick cos Eiji ain’t playing with ya anymore! As time went on Eiji really started to be able to predict what Camus needed before he said anything and that was something that Joshua told Eiji when the project was coming “Take it from someone that does work for Camus when summoned...if you can start to predict what he is going to ask for before he asks for it you will be set for life cos he will make sure NO ONE acts in a manner that will cause you harm.  This dude might seem harsh but he is protective of his employees and you can take it from Haruka and myself that this dude is actually QUITE AWESOME when it comes down to it!” Sadly for Eiji...his time was going to be ending soon! The time limit for the project was only about 3 months and then they had to go back.  Camus would be lying if he said that he didn’t want Eiji to leave but he knew he had to but if there is one thing Camus knew it was this Eiji is a prodigy alright...on AND OFF the stage!

So, idk if you’re a new EX0 fan or not (just in case) but M00nkyu is a well known figure on the fandom. He was a SM trainee close to debut on the group. Besides that he was close with many people at the company including Taemin, Sehun and Jongin himself, being his schoolmate and one of his best friends. There’s a lot of pictures of them together and I won’t include them here simply because you can easily find online.

That means that, the fact they appear together a lot lately, just shows their friendship is strong since it lasted until now. 

I really disagree with the “J0ngin making himself shippable with anyone” narrative because there were moments, especially when the group was young, he expressed how uncomfortable he felt with some skinship. The times he mentioned KS were more during 2013 for example, a period where KS wouldn’t need special boost so he could promote himself. Like, why? He was one of the most promoted members since debut and KS didn’t even was famous as an actor yet.  It just shows how inconsistent things are to the point it raises heads. Because, if the otp was made for promotion purposes only, JI would not only mention KS but be allowed to appear with him constantly. For an otp to appear too much, it needs to be approved in terms of appearing together in public. When the public starts to notice a closure between two people, they start to ship (and we know sometimes things don’t need to go that far). KD was the opposite because they were already close to each other after debut and people who shipped them were strong enough to make them last. It wasn’t his company’s doing. 

JI mentions KS sometimes but most of the time there’s no purpose of promoting himself over his image. The few mentions happens during the army, or especially during the pre 2016 era or just to show how awkward they are (like when JI mentions KS and some members interrupt him saying how forced everything was). In none of those cases is his “goal” to promote himsekf using KS and this argument is stupid.

What I think is that JI got used with shipping culture and gets along with it when it’s needed (I won’t use examples, y’all can take your own conclusions). With M00nkyu tho, you may even think this way. But the group didn’t have a comeback since 2018 and he doesn’t do relevant activities solo. And how will JI promote himself with someone who has less notoriety than him? It could be the other way around but there’s not even acitivites to justify a boost of attention caused by this otp or something like that.

So I think the fact they’re close is simply because they’re friends. Maybe mixed with JI testing waters using sentences that would distance himself from his womanizer persona (I want to marry X, my mom thinks Y is my gf, we look like a couple walking down the Han river). Or it simply doesn’t need a reason. K-pop culture can be really toxic, especially with shipping. Those insecurities, trust issues because an idol doesn’t say or react the way people want him to. The person starts to become a villain, a myth because of projections. But they’re human too. They have family, friends, feelings and people to rely on. And there’s nothing wrong if one of this people is M00nkyu or anyone else.

I talked about this a few times before. But I don’t like how he imposes himself on his members, to the point of being borderline obnoxious. Sometimes you’ll see them push him away and stare kind of blank/straight at the camera, visibly bothered. I’ve seen this many times with JD and XM. Like it’s not cute. And I still don’t like how he harassed/constantly picked at JI during their early days. It wasn’t once, nor twice. But constantly, to the point that JI reacted to it. Why r soo solo stans such demons? They are bashing ji one twtr AGAIN for no reason. Why are they so pressed? They talk about Soo as if he talks to them. If we look at it, I don’t think he gives them anything. He doesn’t even have social media and he didn’t tell his fans he was enlisting until he told everyone. They think they have this special rlship with ksoo and pride themselves in not needing constant lives and content to be entertained like other stans. While if ksoo did those things they would fucking eat it up. I'm glad Ksoo doesn't give content to weirdos like these.

They are not worth fighting with. With people who made up their minds on smth you can't do anything I've learnt my lesson. They hate all of the ekso members especially Ji except osh and pcy so it's not surprise that they act like this. U guyz seem to forget that kxk has been planned since 2012 & has been promoted since p i n k t a p e era. It has nothing to do w/ who is emotionally vulnerable. Kxk already has fanbase (among ifans), ppl are already used seeing them together especially cuz they have done few photoshoot. That's y s-m goes along with it; cuz it has been planned, most r used to it & some like it. S-m is a corporate who has been in the industry for 20+ years, their teams don't make decisions based on anybodys feelings™ especially if those decisions would have huge impact on their #1 money maker group & certainly they don't make such thing based on how their idols would emotionally react. (1) May i ask how old are you? Im old, 32, just got into kpop about 4 years ago, i saw you reblog of "old vs kpop makes me happy" and it got me thinking. Im over many kpop aspects, like fandons, fanwars, i dont go to certain blogs anymore, i just stick to e*xo (mostly kd, mostly ji) and tae*yeon, but seeing ji suffer so much this last 3 years, its a constant heartbreaking. I feel part of his pain cause im going though some of the same stuff, so i keep wonder? is that the moment kpop became bad.

(2) right now i just want ji to find happiness or confort or anything that makes they boy breath easily. I remeber him saying he thought this was his year and now this, its hurt my sould deep down, cause i felt the same.. and its been downhill. :( I just hope he has people that really love him and support him and his family. I wish him and his family the time to heal.  

(3) i also know it unfair from my side, but it makes me sad seen x-l being all happy and celebrating members when ji is in pain. it been barely a day. IDK, i know its not fair. sorry to vent, but i´ve been thinking a lot about that since i heard the news… on how unfair life is.   

Hi! First of all, thank you for taking the time to express yourself to me. I’m glad you are older like me because I don’t feel so alone! Let’s just say I’m over 30 too. I’ve been into kpop for 13 years. I guess I never ‘grew out of it’ because it’s a really bright spot in my otherwise unhappy existence. I can see why you would want to avoid certain aspects of kpop, like fandom wars and other types of drama. I do too. I avoid twitter and only follow blogs that don’t stress me out. Of course, you can’t block out all negative things, but you can avoid a lot of it if you’re careful who you follow.

Yes, life is unfair, but we can’t change that. We can only keep on living and try to be compassionate to others. I agree that kpop can be heartbreaking at times, but there is heartbreak in everyone’s life at some point. It’s just something that we, as humans, have to deal with. I’ve seen a lot of bad things happen to idols that I care about, and it’s hard to know they are struggling, especially when you can’t do anything about it. But for the most part, they will get by. This goes for JI too. I feel really bad about the loss of his father, especially since he is so young, but he has family and friends who will be there for him. Unfortunately, he probably won’t get as much time as he needs to grieve, but at least they’re giving him some time off. That’s just the nature of the kpop beast, unfortunately. And often, being busy helps a person keep their mind off of sad or dark thoughts, so it might be an okay thing for him to be working.

As far as other fans going on with their normal lives online, I can understand a little. Each person is different, so for you it may not seem right to keep posting on tumblr/twitter/ig when there is a tragedy. And that’s okay for you. Take a break if you need to. But others may need a distraction, or a way to keep their mind off of sad thoughts. Just because a person keeps going after a sad event doesn’t mean they don’t care. Take me, for example, I tend to be a very unhappy person with dark thoughts. But I’m here every damn day because I can’t think of anything else to do with myself, and don’t have energy or motivation to do anything productive. So, to occupy my mind, and distract myself from unpleasant thoughts, I scroll through tumblr to see pics/gifs/videos of things and people that lift me up. I do this when bad things happen in kpop, and when things are bad in my own life. So I suppose there are others who do it for similar reasons, or just because posting is a habit. And then there are those fans who only like certain members and don’t pay attention to E/O overall, or they’re not really a fan of JI, so they don’t care. That sucks for sure, but we can’t force anyone to care. Just remember that you can’t know all there is to know about a person based on their posts and sns activity. Behind those reblogs could be a person who is thinking of JI often, and hoping he is okay. A person like me.
