i am actually also one of those people that thinks its fun and sexy that akane is off the walls and a conspiracy theorist and trapped him in a death game, sorry 😔 but i agree that he literally does Not get enough love or attention from the fandom, i really like junpei's character, and akane literally couldve picked ANYONE to be the pivotal person but it was junpei she knew, junpei she trusted, it was junpei who cared enough to pull through. he kept fighting no matter what!!! he was funny and nice and tenacious. like she was a little tiny baby girl who was going to die and she screamed out to the universe for help, and he heard her and he reached back for her.... even tho he was about to die too........ how could junpei's love for akane not rewrite your brainnnnn it was so GOOD. that's jumpy!!!! my best friend jumpy!!!!

Speaking of Heizou and "plotholes", you cannot tear my hc that the case Heizou was talking about during the Akitsu festival was the one connected to Scaramouche from my cold dead hands... bc while "Scaramouche" got deleted from the Irminsul and everyone's memory of him/the real events got altered, the reality Remained the same... which definitely invited certain plotholes that Heizou would catch onto if he ever happened to learn of the case or revisit it

being neurodivergent is all fun and games until you remember those hourly quote bots on twitter and think well maybe I can't make a bot anymore but I could schedule a few quotes a day, that shouldn't be hard. it sounds fun to have a bunch of quotes of my favorite character Thirteen from hit mobile game Obey Me! and its sequel Obey Me! Nightbringer. and then you think about how arduous collecting the quotes is going to be but she's only been in the games for maybe a year and a half with little screentime and you love collecting things so you start but then you remember that you love collecting things so naturally you have ALL of her screentime in the game and suddenly you have 45k characters of quotes and are several lessons into season 4 (which is truly a trial in and of itself) but not nearly close enough to the end but you refuse to just stop collecting the quotes and make the account with the EXCESS of what you have already because you literally only have season 4 to get through and if you don't do it just seeing the bot (because now you've been informed you can make tumblr bots instead) will haunt you with that knowledge even if nobody else would ever know. this is a general anecdote of a situation that could easily happen to anyone though and not in any way related to my life

Something I'm kind of shocked is often left out of the conversation re: Yandere Simulator is how the core appeal of the initial alpha (like, the one I played as a young teenager and enjoyed) was running around in a weird anime sandbox where you could murder everybody and all of the emergent opportunities that provided. People did not have any fun playing the game as it was hypothetically intended, they had fun giving themselves ridiculous challenges like "Kill every character on the map and clean up all the bodies before the end of the day." He successfully created a fun alpha that would progressively get worse as the game became closer to completion, leading to an insanely shitty demo, because the thing people actually enjoyed about the game is fundamentally incompatible with the actual intended experience of playing it.
