We text every day, but he doesn’t bombard me in the way that I’m used to when a person supposedly likes me. I like that. I want to say that he’s strange in comparison to the others, but maybe he’s just relatively normal? I don’t know what normal is anymore. I try not to think about it.

I wonder what his perception is of me. He thinks he knows me, but I’ve only shown a small piece of how chaotic I am. I wonder if he’s told his friends about me. That thought actually messed with my head a bit a couple of weeks ago because I talk to my friends about him. I don’t talk about him obsessively. I’d say that he isn’t spending time with another person because he seems busy with his own thing going on. Except I don’t really know whether he’s busy because in theory he could be hanging out with another girl. I just think it’s fucked up if he’s texting me the entire time. And when we hang out neither of us are on our phones. My mind is so extremely wild about this entire thing which is way beyond my general scope of not giving an actual fuck.

It’s weird to say this, but I like the way he smells. Which is eerily reminiscent of the way that I felt about my first ex. That’s messing my mind up because I haven’t felt that way since that ex, which is basically a fucking decade ago.
