[ cw: death mention / family death mention / ]
Mhmm I sure love thinking of the reality where we did get more time to really know Karai and her dynamics with the bros. Losing her hit hard in the finale, but it would’ve hit much, much harder had we known Karai longer and really saw her relationships develop with everyone.
I especially would have been interested in her dynamic with Leo, as past iterations often have the two of them clash in ideals and the like while still sharing many characteristics. Two sides of the same coin, and all that. Her specifically being the bros’ Gram-Gram also adds a whole new dynamic as well.
Imagine how interesting it would be, to have Karai start off on Leo’s side for once, showing wholly just how alike the two are at their cores and bonding as family without the worry of betrayal or animosity that other iterations suffer through, only to have Karai die anyway. Their parting hug and the desperate look of horror Leo wears later on would have hit that much harder, I feel.

To say that Kakashi and Gai’s relationship (talking solely platonic rn) was mostly about him helping Kakashi cope with the loss of Obito is disingenuous to Kakashi and all of his relationships.
Any person is going to be traumatized after seeing someone — much less their teammate — be crushed to death under a rock. Kakashi is shown to be someone susceptible to depression due to 1. His environment 2. His initial beliefs and 3. His genetic line. Of course his life is going to be centered around one of the most traumatic experiences of his life, romanticizing it is so hurtful to his character because it destroyed him - and if Kishimoto actually cared about expanding other character relationships instead of making a “generational duo that falls apart” + wasn’t a misogynistic writer, Rin’s death would be the bigger influence on his life than Obito’s.
Yes, Gai had to help him numerous times in his grief but it wasn’t solely or even mainly about Obito. Rin was an absolute vital point in Kakashi’s downfall into chaos. The self harm he inflicted upon himself, the self hatred, the self shame. He became a whole different person after he was forced to kill her. I would say Kakashi’s father Sakumo is by far the biggest influence on him. He wouldn’t have needed any speech of “your father was a hero” by Obito if it wasn’t for Sakumo. His personality of today is thanks to his father’s own death.
Gai and Kakashi’s friendship is almost entirely about them when they’re in scenes together. Look at the chunin exams, look at any scene in the land of steam arc, look at their race, etc. naturally there will be grief the two bring to the relationship and it’s on them to work it out separately, together and with other people which did happen.
You’re actively ignoring every other character that has shaped and formed who Kakashi is by saying Obito is the biggest and only reason he is who he is. Gai is one of the strongest reasons why Kakashi is as motivated and strong as he is. Kakashi would’ve absolutely died at some point in (general) anbu if Gai didn’t pull him out and he was slipping so far when he was in it because of Rin and Minato.
Kakashi’s heart does not “belong” to Obito because he’s in love with Obito and can’t get over him, his heart belongs to the people he loves because that’s who Kakashi is at his core - a lover. He’s a person who cares so deeply, even for people he doesn’t necessarily like or get along with.
Kakashi is a person who is shaped by everybody in his life, that’s why he is one of the best written Naruto characters. He feels like a real person because real people are influenced by everyone in their life, in every way. It’s unfortunate to see those who call themselves Kakashi fans only to mischaracterize, limit and erase the bonds he was written to have to prop up one single bond for your ship.
Do you care for this character? His themes, parallels, relationships and writing? or is he just a placeholder / self insert for shipping content?

i really hope we get to see Ty actually grieving Livvy in TWP
i know she’s “alive” as a ghost but i know that the secret of her is killing Ty inside and is distancing him from the rest of his family
in qoaad we saw the Ty that believed he could get his sister back and from the other characters pov (especially Kits) it didn’t really show that Ty was grieving a lot but i hope that in TWP if she is finally let go, we get to see Ty break down in tears and Kit comfort him because from the moment he was born Livvy was there with him and i doubt they’ve ever spent more than a day apart, other than her death, so i really want to see him grieving in his POVs and i want the other characters (his family) to see that he’s lost “his spark” but only Kit knows why, i want to see the other characters acknowledge how hard Livvy’s death was on him since he spent most of his time at the scholomance and away from them

i’ve been metaphorical goofy floating in a pool about relvin temult since that post yesterday but good grief the people who set him as equal to syldor vessar and thoreau lionett . please get a grip. please just. listen to the people telling the story. everytime syldor is mentioned or shows up in c1 and even now with tlovm, the cast are happy to shit on him to no end even though vex Does choose to form a relationship with him in the end. matt vocalized how much he hated playing thoreau and the entire cast agreed that he’s horrible and marisha talked about how travis got Dad Mad™ about how shitty thoreau treated beau. meanwhile at the end of the single episode where we see relvin is… a sad man who despite his conflict with his daughter still gives her everything he can to help her on the mission she’s on, when travis says “he wasn’t a total dickfuck” they settle on the claim that, no, “he was human”.
like. please tell me you’re not watching critical role, the epitome of storytelling that extends empathy to all who come across it, and saying that a man who tried his best and Did fuck up is the same as men who consistently abused their children. please tell me you have the extremely minuscule critical thinking skills required to understand the difference between those relationship dynamics.

Have you ever felt like you just missed a perfect opportunity?
That you’re so close to actually falling in love with someone and they slip right through your fingers?
You’re supposed to move on but you can’t help but wish for more? That you could’ve claimed her all to yourself? That you could potentially have a life with her? And now she doesn’t want anything to do with you.
Mmm…I don’t think I could understand how love works…

full respect to insane people drama on the internet but it actually doesn’t hold a candle to the insane people drama I watched go down during the time I was in a christian group on a university campus. a guy (age 20) stormed out of my sister’s place during a big party bc she lit a spatula on fire on the barbecue and had the GALL to call the fire department in case it lit the roof on fire, so his wife (age 19) had to track him down on the streets bc he couldn’t drive. she had to walk him back and force him to apologise to my sister then he led a bible study in her front room during the party about anger. later that week he posted on the facebook page of a lady who had lost her 17yr old brother in a car crash that her brother deserved to die bc he had gone to schoolies. neither he nor his wife talk to me anymore bc he borrowed a pen and offered to drive it back over at 1am in the morning and I said no thanks keep it and he interpreted this as me leading him to stumble. none of these or any other events involved any drugs or alcohol.

Hi, I was just rereading today, and I still think it's hilarious how Tsumiki handles Megumi’s divine dogs😭😂
Nanami, highly experienced grade one sorcerer: *appropriately assessing the risks of shikigami in a highly aggressive attack mode whose sorcerer is not coherent enough to order them down properly, trying to find a solution that prevents injury without necessitating the destruction of the shikigami*
Tsumiki, has a decade of being secretly smug that her brother’s shikigami love her best under her belt, ready to bank it all on the fact that her brother’s dogs are Good Boys: nanami would you move your ass
