5 Things for Your Muse: Ziv Odiz’Zee

5 THINGS YOU’LL FIND IN THEIR POCKETS

Barely a pawful Turguts- Ziv sells her knowledge and treatments as a Herbal Healer between the other travlers on Spacestations and Hagars where there is not always a Medic with Bacta near. Her savings are ridiculous small.

Dried herb balls + Lighter - Hallucinogens, Narcotics, Painkillers, Neurotoxins, Explosives as in Granademoss, Poisons, in fact many herbs that need to be burned or put into water to knock someone out fast in one way or another. Ziv has them at paw in her Beltpockets and ready to use. Do not fuck with a Botanist. No, really, do not fuck with a Botanist.

Facemask- During her studies in the Agri Corps Ziv had had enough very bad trips and poisonings to learn to always have a facemask at paw.

Blaster- Suprisingly, considering her horrible poor eyesight, Ziv is a very good shooter. Her connection to the Living-Force is giving her the ability to enhance her own sensing plus her natural very good hearing and scent all Tynnan have to compensate for their poor eyesight. Considering Ziv is a Albino due to a gendeffect, she has even poorer eyesight than a normal Tynnan and is horrible myopic. Ziv carries the Blaster stuck in her belt under her Parka.

Small Flimsiplast-Sketchbook+Stylus- When Ziv had been put in the Agri Corps she had teethgrinding obssessive learned her Plantlore the same she had obsessively trained as a young Learner in the Temple. While she has a wide knowledge, she is also aware that there is always something to learn and therefor keeps her sketchbook with own sketches of plants and notes to add to.

5 THINGS YOU’LL FIND IN THEIR ROOM (Her room on The Stutterer in V: Eperitos Story)

Plants growing wildly- Ziv had long given up in holding the samples in the small lab and now the plants grow wildly through the ships airshafts, waterhubs and through the mechanic. In Zivs room the walls are covered by flowers.

Samples- Mosses|Fungi|Molds|Flowers|Seedlings|Treesproutlings are kept in small pots along the wall and also in the middle of the room on the floor. They are vicious tripping-hazards for anyone beside the Tynnan. Ziv had taken the samples for closer research into her room out of the lab.

Flimsi-Sketchbook + Pastels- While her sketchbook is always with the Tynnan she will redo her sketches of Flora in a bigger Format to do a proper study of them, if she is planning to make a research paper on that specific plant.

Two broad bunkbeds- The stutterer is made to at least house four people and would have enough room for even more if the ship would not have been overrun by Zivs plant samples. Usually Ziv just sleeps in one bed and loads books,Holopads and drawings on the second bed.

A pot with a very young Uneti Tree- The Tree had grown from a sproutling of the Uneti-Tree growing in the Jedi-Temple. For now it is still small enough (although already as tall as Ziv) to grow in a pot. Ziv had taken the sproutling with her at the first time she had returned to the Jedi-Temple after she had been send to the AgriCorps in a strange act of keeping the place she had grown up at close. Force-Sensetives who are not as tune-deaf to telepathy as Ziv is might find the Uneti-Trees presence soothing and calming.

5 THINGS THAT MAKE THEM HAPPY

Reading and Learning- Ziv is had always been insatiable when it came to learning. As a Cub she had either read or trained in the Training-Chamber in the Temple and decades later this had not changed. As a child she was keenly aware how sickly she was,how she was lacking compared to her other Clanmembers and the almost selfdestructive will to become “better” has stayed with her. Whenever Ziv can get her paws on a new Datapad, she will read it for leaning always makes her happy. While she is a runty Tynnan, her intelligence had always been her best weapon.

Training- Although Ziv is a very runty Tynnan she had through relentless, selfdestructive descipline learned to be a very good Lightsaber Duelist (in fact she focused on Makashi simply because she wanted to beat up the best Lightsaber-Duelist in her Clan to proof herself) and she likes to be strong and show what she can do and that had not changed.Also Farmwork pays off and Ziv can benchpress a Wookie with pure musclestrenght.

Taking care of AyyAyy- Ziv loves AyyAyy, there is no other way around it. She trusts the carnivourus plant with her Life whenever she is sleeping and AyyAyy plays watchdog. She loves to take care of AyyAyy and see how the plant trusts her and seeks out her affection like a puppy. Ziv is feeling guilty that she could not bring back AyyAyy to their homeplanet to plant them in where they belong.

Gardening- Two years of the AgriCorps and relentless long nights of learning without any sleep had made Ziv a terrific Gardner. Give her the Materials and a mechanic and she will in the matter of a year build domes with viable atmosphere and first crop harvest on a before unviable Planet, take away the mechanic and the materials and she will do the same in one year and a half, show her a dead field and half a year later it will bloom with crops,show her a random meadow and she will tell you the species, usage and growing pattern of every single plant on it. She is the perfect AgriCorps-Member and Ziv Loves to be able to do all those things that almost seem like magic, and she continues learning to be even better at it. Although she would rip of the head of everyone who would dare to say so.

Having a Hook-up and Flirting- Very, very unromantically, but Ziv just really likes to spend a evening in a random Cantina with someone one can properly talk and flirt with to then end the night with a proper roll in the persons bunk. It has nothing to do with romantic or her urgent need for intimacy as this has nothing to do with the needed intimancy or romance, but she likes to flirt and she likes to have the confirmation of beeing someones equal. And the easiest and fastest way to have that is having a random One-night-stand with someone she will never see again for since she had been send to the AgriCorps it is in her mind better to say goodbye first instead of beeing abonded.

5 THINGS THEY’RE CURRENTLY INTO

Flower Language and Plant specific Folklore- Zivs Teacher the Verpine AgriCorps Specialist X’Ma (and also a former Jedi-Master before joining the AgriCorps) made sure to hammer every ounce of knowledge into the Tynnans head. This knowledge was pragmatic and only partly included folklore and cultural norms like Flowerlanguage.Now Ziv eagerly soaks in those aspects of the Plants she uses regulary for Medicine usage. Folklore can show her new possibilities of how to use plants as Folklore grew of History and cultural History about plants always includes suprisingly often ways of how to use thos eplants in Medicine or for cooking.Researching Healingplants Ziv now knows only works when the cultural history behind this plants are also researched. In the same manner Ziv is oddly enchanted by Flowerlanguage all over the Galaxy, by now she is very good at Naboo-Flowerlanguage so if someone pisses her off enough she is not above to send them insults with flowers.

Learning how to cook more Recipes- This goes paw in paw with Number 1 and also most herbs used for healing are also used for food. Although Ziv is not a that enthusiastic cook she knows the healingeffect of a proper meal and how she could add healingherbs into it.

Rumors about the Agents fo Ossus- Ziv had only heard a few rumors about a group of People who seek out old Jedi-Temple and who actually seem to be Force-Sensetive. She is curious for those people as they seem to have the same goal as she when she seeks out AgriCorps facilities, but in the same manner it could also be a trap by the emprie to lure in Jedi and Padawans.

Cataloguing and Researching new Plants on different Planets- As a young Girl Ziv had been (and still is) a very big fan of the researchs of the Tynnan Jedi-Master Bowspritz who had researched decades on force-sensetive and not -force-sensetive lifeforms and wrote massive papers about this researchs. When she had been send to the AgriCorps she had teethclenching decided that if she is not allowed to be a Jedi-Knight she would at least fload the archives with her flora-researchs she would write in her time as a AgriCorps specialist like Master Bowspritz had with his Fauna-Researchs. She never became a AgriCorps Specialist,not in her mainverse at least, but she still loves to discover new plants and how they could be used. With the danger of beeing discovered by the Empire always around, Ziv usually does not stay long enough on one planet to really find anything new that had not yet been discovered.

Curls- Stop judging the Space-Otter.

5 THINGS THINGS ON THEIR TO-DO LIST

Seeking out more AgriCorps Facilities-Despite the AgriCorps beeing called “Farmers” there are still a lot of researchs that are better off to not fall into the Empires Hands. The best example for this would be the Sith-Ritual for which the Murakami-Orchid that had bound to Ziv when she had been at Marfa would be needed to be used for (Aka Immortality with the Blackwing-Virus as a very much not noce sideproduct) . Accordingly Zivs seeks out the facilities and makes sure the at them stored Data and special Plants are destroyed or saved by her.

Train even harder- This goes without explination. Ziv does her best to learn more about the teachings in the Force. She hopes to find a way to enhance her telepathy to be better at communicating with her Murakami-Orchid-Sproutling.

Find a way to be able to use Force-Healing again- aka learn how to use a skill she had almost mastered as a Teenager without throwing herself headfirst into a boneshattering Panic-Attack with the to the ability connected Flashbacks. The one talent in the Force Ziv had was her ability to use Force-healing which was only enhanced by her beeing teached medical Knowledge. However since the Order 66 this ability is blocked for its directly connected to what had happned to her during the Order. The Tauma was enough to make her Kybercrystal crack, so it is obvious a episode Ziv does not want to visit again. Ziv is simply not able to face what had happned to her had therefor the only ability she had a true talent for is locked from her.

Repair her Lightsaber- Ziv dreams about reparing her Lightsaber. The Kybercrystal in it had cracked during what had happned to her during Order 66, which makes the weapon useless as it simply sprouts a few golden sparks. However, Ziv aso knows that repairing the saber not only would mean going to Ilum controled by the Empire, also that having a lightsaber is like drawing a target on her back and it would be stupid, but also that she would need to face what had happned to her during the Order and she really is not able to do that.

Find her way to Tynna- Its still Zivs goal, although she knows that this goal had been born fom a panicky fifteen-year-olds mind who thought that the only safe place is home,although the Planet she ahd been born on had never been her home.

Zivs Hobbys

Fishing- Not with utensils, but Ziv loves to jump into cool water and catch herself fish and shells for a snack. Ziv had never been to Tynna, what she knows about her race and their way of eating and living she had read up herself curiously and catching fish and swimming feels for her like she was made for it. Which she obviously is, considering her race and it makes Ziv feel closer to where she came from when fishing and swimming. Also she usually keeps herself trained when she playfully swims after fish to pass them with her own strenght and swimming speed to catch them. Its a little like a catplaying with mice to train the reflexes.

Camping- Despite growing up in the Jedi-Temple and beeing used to cities, Ziv is often forced to wander off settlements to collect samples and help regrow and recivilize abonde places.Accordingly camping is more of a necessity than it is a hobby. After Order 66 when Ziv had fled and tried to find her way back to Tynna in a desperate try to find safety, she often ended up camping on spacestations and planets she had been stranded at during the journey since her herbal healing did not got her enough money to pay for a bed to sleep in.

Singing- Do you know that the vibration of certaine Melodies enhances the growing of Plants? Ziv does know that and when she takes care of plants she will sing to them. Especially the two- headed Reeksa Sproutling Ziv carries as her “Watchdog” by her Rucksack in a glasstank she had named AyyAyy, gets sung to more often since it is still growing. Ziv Plans to someday plant AyyAyy on Iego, if it grows bigger. For now AyyAyy is content to be fed pests by Ziv and bite off the fingers of people reaching out for Zivs Baggage. Ziv affectionately called each head “Starlet (Ayy)” in Ryl.

Cooking- Not the cooking of food per se, since Ziv is suprisingly humble in her diet and will be completly content to chew on a root or a Energy- capsule every six hours. However, in a almost ritualistic manner Ziv will every Morning prepare the herbal oinments and salves that are not made with alcohol since after twelve hours the fat and water used for the oinments and salves had usually sepperated and with that made the mixture useless. Preperations with alcohol hold longer. Ziv makes sure she always has her favorite preperations of Salves and oinments with various healingeffects with her. If she is in a safe Place she will use thistime to try out new ideas of combinations for new oinments. Since Ziv is too restless to meditate, preparing the oinments while her paws work is her way of meditating and starting the day with a clear head.

Gardening- As a member of the Agri Corps Ziv can name by heart thausands of Herbs, plants, barks, Molds and mushrooms, together with the knowledge of where they grow, how they grow, how they can be used, how they can be prepared and how they are at best harvested. She knows what plants to use to grow fast for feeding a poor population, she knows what herbs to use to treat infections and open wounds, she knows what she can eat without danger and what will be poisinouse for different races, she knows how to treat sicknesses and fevers, she knows what herbal oils to use to clean objects, rooms or people off germs. Her focus is mainly on Healing, which naturally includes poisons. After all, its the dose that makes the poison. Despite her never wanting to joing the Agri Corps, Ziv is good in her work as she dutifully, alctually obessivly learned her craft, and it bring her a grim joy to see plants bloom under her care for it means that the washout she is is actually good for something. And maybe, and this is a very secret and gloomy thought, she is even better at it than certaine people in the Order.

Working Out | Doing Yoga- Used from her time as a Youngling in the Jedi-Temple to a certaine amount of working out and training, Ziv kept this habit and even enhanced it to train herself. She wants to prove herself that she is string, and she is agile, and she is nimble and also good enough to be a Padawan, so she often trains to keep herself strong and develop her abilities further.

Swimming- As with fishing, swimming makes Ziv feel closer to Tynna. After all, she is made for swimming and her thick pelt and blubber keep her warm even in the coolest waters. Altough swimming is a good way of working out and often she will swim teethgrinding for hours until she is on the brodge of exhaustion to proof herself that she is good at it and could even get better.

Reading- Ziv is a obsessed reader in the topics of herbology, Biology, Gardening, and every little Text about the Jedi-order and the Force she can get her paws on. Especially she is eager to read every work of the Jedi-Master Bowspritz.

In Conclusion: Ziv is a buzzkill and really needs more Hobbies!

The fluffy, spotted cub crawled out of the besket, leaving her sleeping siblings behind. She was on a mission, after all! She navigated between the chairs and the table, over the carpet and then the slippery tiles, all to finally reach her destination! "Mama!" She chirrped, clinging with her little paws to Ziv's leg. "Mama, mama!"

The morninglight was red like a fresh apple, but as the red burning sun shone the weakest the red sunlight did not melted the frostflowers growing on the the starports buildings but only dyed them deeply crimson as if the buildings had been painted with artfully interwined patterns. In the small cabines kitchen the window was covered with frostflowers so the red morninglight falling through it wrapped the small kitchen in a deep crimson shimmer. It was so early in the morning that Zivs knife hacking on the choppingboard was the only sound,the streets outside were empty and isolated and silent, so Ziv heard over hacking herbs her daughters tiny hindpaws on the tiled ground and every little huff when she was stumbling. She stopped cutting the herbs for her oinments that she prepared every morning anew and turned her ears after the little cubs tiny steps like the ears of a attentive animal to be able to react if the cub stumbled.

"Mama, mama, mama!" Tiny paws grabbed for the pelt of Zivs leg and the young woman couldn´t help the big smile spreading over her pale muzzle as she leaned down and picked up the small girl to hold her before her chest: “Ah, did you escaped from your bed to pay your mama a visit, Thrud?” The small cub cooed, her tiny tail wagging happily as she reached out for Zivs snout. Thrud had been the only one of her siblings who had started to talk yet and there had till now only been the word ‘mama’ and maybe a few noises that had been suppose to be words but whichs meaning Ziv had yet not figured out.Still, the young woman always eagerly listened to the small cubs words-it was as if listeneing for the most exciting story and Ziv was curious what word would come next. Gently cradling the small cub, Ziv moved her softly up and down as she hummed playfully sternly: “And you even left your siblings behind,how very callouse of you!” Thrud blinked, her spotted ears moved up and down like a confused animal as the infants mind tried to understand what Ziv was talking about. The Tynnan had to bite the inside of her cheek to not start laughing out loud over the confused expression of the cub, although she did took a sharp look over her shoulder to where the basket she was using as a bed for the litter was standing to check if Ull and Eir were still sleeping. The cubs lay silently sleeping in their bed of blankets, their soft babypelts dyed red like autumnleafs from the sunlight. Ziv nodded quietly to herself before she turned back to Thrud.

“Don´t worry, You did so well! I started to feel lonely!”,purring Ziv nuzzled her snout in the toddlers stomach against the fluffy,soft infant-pelt,making the little girl squeak in delighted. Thruds little paws that were as soft as velvet reached again out for Zivs round face, patting her mothers cheeks and nose and the young woman closed her eyes grinning:”Thank you for visiting me, baby!” The light falling through the window drew cool puddles of red like paint on the kitchenfloor when Ziv with Thrud on her arm turned back to the kitchencounter where she still had to cut the herbs. “Do you want to help me preparing my oinments?”, she asked as she carefully put the small cub in the front of her dress, so the small girl would sit in the cloth held by Zivs belt like in a babysling and Ziv had her paws free. Thrud nuzzled her tiny snout in the soft pelt of her mothers chest,babbling happily: “Bahah-!” Grinning Ziv grabbed for the piece of black root she had not cut yet and held it before Thruds small face: “I know you would,now the first thing we have to do is cutting this root. Its called ebonroot ,you can see why?” The small cub reached out with two tiny paws after the root, babbling happily which sounded like a river gurgling and Ziv nodded as if the girl had answered her: “Exactly, the outside is black. That why its called ebonroot. Makes kriffing sense,eh?” Absentmindly the cub had started to nibble on her small paw, Ziv cut the root with nimble paws in small slices- the hacking of the blade on the cuttingboard was much too loud in the quiet morning but neither Ziv, nor Thrud not the other cubs seemed to be bothered about it. In the morning the scent of the cut root- damp and earthy like petrichor- rose in the air. “Now, the outside is black but what does the inside look like?” Ziv turned the cut root between her webbed fingers and held it before the little girls nose that was in contrast to Zivs not pink but almost as black as the ebonroots outside. Thrud curiously stretched her neck and nibbled on the white inside of the ebonroot, but squeaking leaned away from it as if she had bitten on a sour fruit.Hasty Thrud burried her small face into the soft pelt of Zivs chest, hiding: “Ihhh Ih!” Biting the inside of her cheek,but still giggiling Ziv stroked the small girls tiny ears soothingly. “Yes, its very bitter and also white. Thats funny, eh? Its a kriffing strange root, but also if you cut it into small pieces and cook it into a mush it has strong healingeffects and even will be able to heal a broken bone from the outside in only something like two weeks by simply beeing applied on the outside. You can imagine how useful that is, yes, Thrud?”, Ziv continued to explain while Thrud nuzzled her small face in her mothers chest,eyes closed and ears drooped sleepily. The young woman lay a paw at the back of the cub to steady her, fingers running gently through the downy pelt that felt as soft as silk. “Exactly, very useful...! You are kriffing smart, baby.” , Zivs voice was now a quiet humm as she cut the rest of the roots and then carried them over to cook them into a mush on the hotplates.

By the time the mush of cooked ebonroot was finished, Thrud was sound asleep.
