So I finally decided to be brave and look at the tag for Heartbeat, and, well, seems like it really is the Harry Potter of video games. Some people are saying you shouldn't even pirate the game, while others are saying the characters and story are still good enough to warrant pirating it if you want to enjoy it without supporting the creator.
I'm just not sure what I should do. I want to reblog some posts because when I reblog a post about media, it's less to support the creators and more to show you what I've been interested in lately, but I still don't want people to get the wrong idea. It's especially a struggle since, as I mentioned before, it's my current hyperfixation, and it even gave me a new character to obsess over (one that people on here would refer to as a "blorbo"), and I don't get to choose who that is or where they come from. It saddens me that something that brought me happiness was made by a terrible person.
I actually asked several people about their opinions on liking media made by bad people, and they said it's alright to separate the art from the artist. I even asked my sibling about it since I wanted the opinion of an actual trans person. The thing is, it's hard to tell just how much of someone's soul went into making something, and how much of it can be separated from them and be considered available to interpret as we please.
I don't know, maybe I'll just headcanon some of the characters as trans out of spite. I mean, there is one certain character who can be seen as a trans metaphor. And if I do reblog any posts, maybe I'll add a disclaimer in the tags to let you know I don't agree with the creator's beliefs.
Just learned what the @horus-unofficial "Oblex" is. While i appreciate that you can have a fucking Alternate as an NHP, i cannot stress enough that this is still nothing compared to whatever the fuck the UNUNOCTIUM is. Sure its "creepy as shit" but its HORUS so whatever. Before anyone pulls out some "powerscaling" bullshit, talk to us when you find another mech that uses such a fucked up engine thats 4-dimensional and also sometimes shits out creatures that are PROBABLY the maggots of dead MONIST entities. OR WORSE.
On one hand, I want to play Lancer because the concepts and worldbuilding are cool as hell. On the other, I have always had more fun with narrative RPGs as opposed to numbery ones and holy hell this is one of the most numbery ones out there
gaming boycotts are a paritcularly sad area, theres no way to voice concerns about anything without it strengthening wahtever the target is and i dont really get emotionally invested in them because i can tell that any call to action is usually met wtih the inveitable record breaking sales, saw it with dogwater legacy and tthis new shit is no different
"Mott" and "Klein Gremory" from the (very niche) indie game HEARTBEAT. It's feeding time for the alien moth! Time to give them jam to improve their stats for battle!
Me, drawing fanart for a rpg maker game barely anyone cares about? More likely than you think! Expect more fanart of the characters in the future, muahaha!
Sorry, not sorry. I fell in love with the game. And it has not many fanarts on Tumblr. Allow me to change that!
for a rare completely standalone episode of Merely Roleplayers that's a little bit Carry On Doctor.
It’s time to push the boundaries of modern medicine, and maybe to make out with a bitter rival in the on-call room!
