Okay one week was ruined by Yang, but Ruby can fix that. She distracted her sister with something so she can play the new game with Jaune. That is until Blake left the room, putting up her pants. Seriously, another team mate slept with her best friend!?

"C'mon," Yang huffs, as she plays on her Scroll, playing a round of Pablo Racing against Weiss. "The Blue Brick?! That's cheating!"

"It's a legitimate strategy!" Weiss defended, as she was in the league in the game.

Meanwhile, Ruby skipped down the hall to Team JNPR's dorm room. She had decided to enlist Weiss' assistance in distracting Yang. The last week of hanging out with Jaune was ruined by her sister, but now she has this week to play a round of Ninja Fighter with him. The reaper stops as the door opens to Blake, walking out of the dorm room, pulling up her pants.

"What the heck?!" Ruby exclaimed, noticing the Cat Faunus' disheveled hair. "You too, Blake?!"

"In my defense," Blake spoke up, buttoning up her pants. "My heat kicks in this week, and Jaune agreed to help." She then purred, "And let me tell you, he knows how to soothe it~."

"Darn it!" Ruby stomped the ground in frustration.

Blake: I'm willing to ignore that fact if I don't have to eat another meal made out of bugs.

Weiss: I second that.

Yang: Thanks for making dinner for us!

Ruby: Yeah! We really appreciate it!

Everyone digs in, and the table is thrown into chaos.

Weiss: (whole body is crimson and fire is bellowing from her mouth)

Ruby: (face has melted into her cloak and sweat is pouring down her face) WHADKFOIDOOFEUS?!?!?!

Ilia: (scales have turned red, and a sweat is pouring down her face, but she is still eating) This kind of reminds me of Menagerie. What kind of noodles did you steal, Sun?

Sun: (coughing but chowing down) Some package that had a chicken on it. I thought the cartoon on the front was funny. (Coughs and hilds up empty package)

Yang: (sweating with little heated exhales but somehow managing to eat faster than Ilia and Sun) Is all of the food in Menagerie like this?! Blake, can we move to Menagerie after we get married?

Blake: (eating delicately and savoring every moment. Not a single bead of sweat, but her cheeks are pink) Let's focus on the wedding first, Yang. I think Weiss is dying.

Weiss: (soul is leaving her body while Ruby gives her CPR)

I’m the anon that sent in all the Ruby stuff! It makes me so happy that you love her so much. I didn’t expect her to be such a beloved character to you and I was kind of nervous that you would have hated her tbh. ^^;

Something Ruby related — I had a fic about Twig and co. confronting the siblings before I ultimately scrapped it because I could not write villainous characters without making them feel cliché. I do remember this one line said by Ruby’s sister when she lashes out towards Twig:

“You wouldn’t get it. You have a cushy life style and you baby your daughter instead of actually raising her. We’re doing that ungrateful, spoiled brat a favor — we’re teaching her how to survive. You wouldn’t know the meaning of that with that silver spoon in your mouth.”

I don’t blame you for struggling with not making the siblings feel cliché— writing villainous characters gets 900x more difficult the second you don’t want to make them sympathetic. Ark was fairly simple for me to write, even in scrapped scenes where he was all-in with his villainous role during the events of the post-game. Twig’s aunt, meanwhile, gave me a heck of a hard time while I was developing her backstory.
