Brindlesky - thin white tom with grey dappled topcoat
Family: Greydapple (father), Willowspots (mother), Silverpaw (sister, dead)
Gender / Sexuality: tom / bisexuall
Personality: excitable, high energy, always willing to go, always acts like he just woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed
Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. First contestant is Brindlesky.
With ancestors in leadership and response warrior roles, his litter was chosen for strict training. Brindlesky was chosen to focus on his fishing skills and swimming. Given a response warrior position, Brindlesky wants to have kits so he can teach them the fun of fishing. He’s an excitable young warrior who loves having wet fur. He needs someone to keep him warm after a long day beside the water.
Brindlesky finds enjoyment in his work for the clan, and believes if he works hard, he’ll have a good clan to live in. Everyone should do their part to make their clan the best ever. Vocally talks about how good his clan is, and can be very biased against Smokeclan and Frostclan.
Ideal Partner: gimme him falling for a smoke or frost warrior, or someone who really wants to give him kits, or someone who also wants to mentor a kit and teams up with brindle to pick up mollies, but they end up falling in love
Position | Clan: Warrior | Brookclan
Ferretstream - solid warm brown shecat
Family: Reedtail (father), Rowansong (mother)
Gender / Sexuality: shecat / fairly gay
Personality: patriotic, will somehow convince you that brookclan is also the best, no matter previous beliefs, very talkative and chatty
Next contestant is Ferretstream. With obvious Whisperclan blood in her genes, some think Ferretstreams father is the warrior turned medicine cat Rowanthistle. Yet her loyalty remains strongly with Brookclan.
Ferretstream has a strong patriotic love for Brookclan, and believes them to be the perfect clan. The others are generations behind. First in the clan history to have a gay leader, Ferretstream is proud of the safe space Brookclan has created for their warriors. So much so that when she was an apprentice, two apprentices from Smokeclan asked to leave their clan for Brookclan.
The act of love for Brookclan , and bringing in two new warrior apprentices earned her the warrior name Ferretstream, the stream a nod to the connections she makes. She is very loudly pro-Brookclan and will find fault in all other clan members.
Ideal Partner: someone who wants to switch to brookclan, or someone she convinced to switch, or someone who is fiercely loyal to their own clan blood, but also they fw ferret
Position | Clan: Warrior | Brookclan
Longstem - brown tabby and white tom
Family: Brackenfrost (father), Heatherpelt (mother), Lavendersong (sister)
Gender / Sexuality: tom / gay
Personality: confident, take charge attitude, p much sweet on any tomcat who crosses his path tho, so watch out
Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. First contestant is Longstem. Although his breeding was intended for the gene pool, it was obvious from a young ‘paw that Longstem had no intention of mating with a molly.
Mooning over his friend Fleetdust from Frostclan, Longstem does not have what it takes to be a father.
Still, he is a smart leader. When put in a decision making role he can easily assess the situation quickly and make decisions fast. Longstem has absolutely zero biased to any particular cat, and would make a great responsible leader.
Longstem is a very sweet tomcat, although he will practically find any answer other than fighting. He would rather go on a fast until he died than get into war. This might make him seem like a push over as a leader, but Brookclan has to protect itself.
Ideal Partner: hes not all that picky tbh, maybe someone who is pro fighting that butts heads with long, interclan relationship replace fleetdust plz im begging you, gimme one/fire before the breakup
Position | Clan: Warrior | Broookclan
Petalstorm - dark tortie shecat with more orange than black
Family: Thorntail (father), Weedwhisker (mother), Scorchspot (brother).
Gender / Sexuality: shecat / bisexual
Personality: hard worker, got in trouble for being too bossy, still is lowkey bossy, but respectful about it now, knows to respect her elders and how to give orders without demanding.
Last contestant is Petalstorm. With a bloodline connected to Duckstar, her name is a perfect description of who she is.
Fierce daughter of an incredible response warrior mother and father, Petalstorms ambition was there from a young age. In the nursery she played leader, and her loud public opinion at four and a half moons granted her apprentice chores in camp before she earned her apprentice name.
Petalstorm learned. She made friends and listened to how senior warriors spoke. One conversation with a cat and she knows everything about them. Which makes her a scary good social butterfly.
Of course, Petalstorm plans on having a litter before she takes on leadership roles. The sun doesn’t stop for no cat, and she lets Tom’s know that it’s now or never.
Ideal Partner: someone who is ready to be a den dad, or someone who can pick up any slack of her as a mother, or gimme the partner who does want to sit around and let her take charge, be the pretty first tom of the clan lmao
Position | Clan: Warrior | Brookclan

Chapter 3
Willow’s nose picked up a scent, a mixture of prey and fresh pollen, she remembered this smell even those she experienced it only once, the beginning of new leaf. Her ears heard birds going of tree to tree, singing along with the breeze going throughout the branches full of new leaves. Opening her eyes she noticed she’s was outside on grass with sparkling dewdrops, she looks up to see tall, healthy trees which was odd because she clearly remembered falling asleep indoors with Slatepaw by her side.
The brightest here made Willow’s eyes burn, “Hello?” As she called out, she could hear paw steps behind her approaching. She faced the direction of the steps to see a grey, mangled long-haired tom, he move closer to Willow, she did feel a friendly warm coming from him, but Willow refused to let her guard down, “Don’t worry young one, my fighting days have pasted.” He sounds genuine so she settles a bit but not much, “Where am I?” She try to not let her emotions show, but her voice cracking show all the same. “You’re in Starclan.”
Starclan, she heard the name before but couldn’t place where. “How did I get here?” The gray tom flatten his ears, but she finds that he remanned calm and joyful, “Well, … you see. You’re here and not here at the same time. You’re technically dreaming.” Willow mixed with confusion and worry, what was this tom talking about? “Do you have bees in your brain!” She couldn’t help but to yell at him, “Take me back to my friend, NOW! Or… or I’ll claw your fur off!” With that empty threat he just gave her looked with a odd expression, which is understandable because he was twice her size with three times as many moons older, and even if she could lay a claw on him she was afraid that it would get stuck in his fur. “You’ll go back once were both done talking to you.”
“Both?” He nods, “Me and your mother.”
Berry awoken on a nest made of moss, she was in a den, the medicine cat’s den to be exact. Her nose stinging with the sharp mixtures of sours and sweets, she tried to just breath through her mouth but it just made her have coughing fit. “Well finally, your awake.” Berry looks to see a elderly ginger and white she-cat, in a panic driven action Berry jumped and in a wispy sounding voice said, “I-I’m sorry! It’s just… just-”
“Calm down, Berry. It’s okay.” A kind and gentle voice come from a the other end of the den, Berry spots a light ginger with dark ginger ears, paws and tail. “Me and Silkpool were just worry for you, your injury had a lot of dirt in it and it took a while to clean out.” Silkpool nods to the light ginger she-cat as she started to talk, “Ya, and it didn’t help that you pasted out before you got are names, I’m Silkpool and this is my apprentice & daughter, Sparklenose.”
“H-Hi, thank you for helping me with this.” Berry tried to relax herself and look grateful to them. “I don’t know what would happen without you two.” Silkpool nods to Berry and walks to there herbs, Sparklenose moves a bit closer to the pale she-cat.
“So, we have good news and bad news. Good news is that the cut will heal nicely but it’s going to take a moon and a half to heal enough to leave for your home.” Berry stares at her in shock, she knew the gash was bad but not like that. She looks to her paws wondering what Willow will think of this.
“So, not to be rude but I was just wondering, how did you get the cut? I never saw one that big before.” Berry looked up to Sparklenose, her dark blue eye was full of sympathy. she takes a breath, “My House-folk did this to me, I hopped on the food holder and they through something sharp at me.” Her voice was shaking even mentioning them, Silkpool looks over to the two she-cats. “House-folk?… Oh you mean twolegs. You were a kittypet?” Berry turned to the elderly cat, “Yeah, I guess.”
Silkpool walks to Sparklenose, “We have to go collect some herbs, we’re running on scraps at this point.” the light ginger cat dips her head to her mentor then glances at Berry. “Will you be okay here by yourself for a while?”
“For how long?” Berry’s nerves started to make her shake at the thought being left alone here, “Just on till sunset, so not that long.” Her voice was sweet, Berry just puts on brave face but didn’t stop shaking and nodded, “Good!” Silkpool wanders over to the den’s entice then looks to her apprentice, “Come on, Sparklenose!” Then walks out, the light she-cat fellows soon after, leaving her alone.
“My mother!? What kind of sick joke are you putting on!?” Anger and sadness woven through her words, Willow’s heart started beating slow remembering her mother and her pasting. “Willow, I thought I taught you better then that.” The voice was familiar to her that she wish to hear for the past moon, next to the long haired tom appeared a bright cream she-cat with a pair of beautiful shy blue eyes to match. “M-Mother.” Shock washes over Willow’s body, Heather lays her tail on the tom’s back. “Cinderfur, you couldn’t help ease her mind at least a little?” She walks closer to her dumbfounded daughter, Willow couldn’t comprehend what she was looking at, her dead mother was stand right in front of her, “Hello, my kit.” Her voice sounds sweet as it’s always been. “I’m sorry I left you and Benny so early, for lying to you and Hazel all your lives.” Snapped out of her daze, Heather takes a deep breath. “Willow, I didn’t-… I wasn’t always a loner, in fact before you and your siblings we’re born, I was only one for a single moon.”
“What are you trying to say?” Willow said with wimpy sounding voice, “What were you then?” Heather looks to her paws and flattened her ears while Cinderfur tried to comfort her but clearly failing, she moves a aways from him a bit. “Can you give us some room?” He looks to her, “Okay, Good luck with this, Heatherpelt.” He then left. “Heatherpelt?” Heather faced her once more, “Why did he call you that?” Willow knows what it meant, she knew it was a clan name and now that she thinks about it when her mother was alive she dropped some hints that only dumb kits could miss. “Your a clan cat? Why would you hide this from us?” Heatherpelt just stares into Willow saddened eyes, “Willow, I’m sorry but we only have a short amount of time so I can’t answer you right now, but their is something I want you to do.” She looks away with a nervousness, “I want you to join Twilightclan,… my clan.”
“What! Why would I!? Why would you lie to us!?” Heatherpelt snaps her head back to her daughter, “I had to! Willow, you and Hazel were too young to hear about the clans or about Thornstar. The only reason Benny knew is because he saw it with his own eyes!” Willow took a step back in shock, realizing that Benny, a cat that she trusted and loved her whole life, a cat that helped her and her family through a lot, had kept a huge secret like that for so long. She takes a moment to settle back down, “So, if Twilightclan is so bad then why would I join?” Willow every much wanted to that yell at her, but that wouldn’t help anything. “That trouble has pasted for some time now, but the shadow of it still lingers and they need all the help that they can get. You and the rest of my kits should have already been apart of the clan, but that wasn’t a choice at that time.”
Willow just wondered what could have happened to her mother to make her leave a clan that she clearly didn’t want to leave. She then remembers why she went to the camp in the first place, “What about Berry? I can’t just leave her and live in with a group of cats I don’t know?” Heatherpelt moves closer to Willow and tried to her give a lick to the ear but she just fazes through her daughter, Willow just looks up at her. “Willow, I know that you two trust each other, so that’s up to you to decide what’s the right to do.” Willow looks to her paws as they started to fade, she panic from this but she can’t feel a thing. “Looks like are time here has come to a end.”
“What! But I still want to talk to you! I miss you.” Heatherpelt backs up from her, “Don’t worry my kit.” The kindness of her voice stings Willow’s heart, “I will always be with you.”
That was the last thing she heard before waking up back in the nest next to a still sleeping Slatepaw. Alone she lays there thinking of her ‘Dream’, was it real or did she just ate some bad fresh-kill?
As Berry rolled a piece of moss into a ball in boredom, this stay in the den rule that Silkpool given her was taking it toll, but she would rather have this then those two being mad at her. “Hello? Silkpool? Sparklenose?” Berry heard a tom’s voice, so she answered, “Hello, if you’re looking for those two, they won’t be back an till sunset.” She then saw the cat who was the voice’s owner, a white and black cat. “Really, are you sure?” He just looks around in a slitty hurried fashion and hasn’t even glanced in her direction, “Yes, they told me themselves, sorry.”
“Foxdung!” The quick sharpness in his tone made Berry jump, he looks to her in surprise, “I’m sorry! I’m just a little upset.” Berry hops out of her nest not wanting to sit on it anymore, “What’s wrong?” The tom lift’s his black paw and rotated it to reveal a rather large thorn stuck deep in his pad, that would explain the small but still noticeable limp he had walking in the den. “I can help you with that.” He looks up to meet her eyes, “You can! That’s great, I can still make the rest of my training, are you sure?” She nods to him, “I pulled thorns out of my friend’s pads all the time, this doesn’t look any different.” Berry looks to the thorn and bites down on the edge and gives a it quick tug, and it came right out. “Their you go.” The tom looks at he's pad, “Thank you so much, I’m Bonepaw by the way.” Berry realized that she hasn’t introduce herself, “Oh sorry, I’m Berry, I’m just here for a while.”
“Ya, Willow and Slatepaw told me.” Bonepaw licks at his paw before setting it back down, “So, how long are you going to stay here?” Berry looks away, “A long time.” Out of the corner of her eye she could spot a bright colored pelt coming from the entrains. “Berry? Are you in there?” It was Willow’s voice, Bonepaw turns to her as she walks in, the bright cream cat steps in and looks around an till Berry knew she saw her, but she also saw Bonepaw. “Oh, was I interrupting something?”
“Nah, I need to get back to my mentor anyways, goodbye Berry. See you later, Willow.” He then exit the den, Berry faced her friend who moved closer to her. “Hey Willow, how are you doing here so far?” She still feels bad for kinda making her friend come to this place, making her feel heavily uncomfortable being in a place filled with many cats. “Good, the majority of the cats I met were nice and welcoming, especially their leader. She weirdly stared at me for a long time then let us stay for the time being. Oh ya! Do you know when your wound will be heal?” Berry nods slow, “The medicine cats said that it would at least a moon and a half before we can go home.” She looks into Willow’s eyes to just see nothing, she thought her friend would be more mad or sad, at the very leased have some emotion. “Ah, Willow? Did you hear me? Moon and a half.” She couldn’t believe that she need to emphasize those words, Willow was usually great at listening and this time didn’t seem any different. “I heard you, it’s just…” She had a shaky, tense sounding voice. “I-I decided to join Twilightclan.” After she was done talking she gave Berry a strange stare and wasn’t showing any feeling besides being fake happy. The pale cream she-cat started to laugh awkwardly not knowing what else to do, “Berry? What’s so funny?” She couldn’t look at Willow at that moment, thought chuckling she answered, “At your joke. You joining the clan.” She then looks to her friend seeing that she wasn’t joking, “You’re not kidding?” Willow slowly shakes her head, “Bu-But you didn’t even want to step a paw in the camp just a short while ago! How could you go from that to this?!” She looks away from Berry, takes a deep breath and looks back. “Berry, you remember my mother? Heather?”
“Of course, she was like a mother to me, how could I forget.” Willow folds her ears back in sadness, “Well, while I was sleeping, I sorta dreamed that I was in this beautiful forest, I think they called Starclan and Heather was there. She told me to join Twilightclan, something she wanted for me and my siblings since we were born.” Berry just stares, wondering what happened to her to make her have bees in me brain. She snaps out of it when Willow pokes the pale cream she-cat’s foreleg with her tail, she then had to ask. “Ah, wow, that was… Willow, are you feeling okay?”
“I know how this sounds, but I can’t shake this dream away no matter how hard I try. I been thinking about this for a long while and I’m still not sure.” The black striped she-cat lowers her head and Berry moves to her side, “So, why does Heather want you to join the clan? I mean, she always warned us to stay away from the clans, why would she want her kits to join now?” Willow looks up but doesn’t faces Berry, “Because… Because apparently she used to be a clan cat. A Twilightclan cat. Named Heatherpelt.” Berry widens her eyes in shock, she never saw Heather as a savage clan cat but then again, besides Eelfang, the clan cats seems alright. So much for those rumors the other house cats have told her. “So, your joining just because of a dream that might just that, a dream?”
“Well, that and something else. It started when Hazel ran away then my mother’s death, I’ve felt a sallowness in me that I ignored for a long time now, and I still don’t know what it is but being here in these camp, with you, is helping it. I guess it’s because I belong here or something.” Berry looks into her sadden eyes, “I’m so sorry, why didn’t you tell me sooner? Or Benny?”
“I thought it would go away some day, and I guess just got use to it.” She then moved to be in front of Willow, “Willow next time tell me, I’m your best friend and you’re mine. This is what friends do!” Her sad expression change to a happier one, “Thank you and do you mind if I ask you something?” Berry lowered her head breaking eye contact with her knowing what she’s going to ask, “You want me to join too, don’t you?” Willow puts her paw on her shoulder, “Yes, I very much do, but if you don’t want too, we’ll find you some new, nicer house folk. Somewhere close so I can visit you!” Willow gives a weak smile, Berry couldn’t bare to look at her that way, so she just gave one back. “Willow, I-I need to think about it. Do you mind leaving me alone for now, I’m getting pretty tired.” She lied, just want to be left alone without questions, “Oh, okay I’ll bring some fresh-kill later.” She licked Willow’s check and trying to look sleepy, it worked. “Bye.” She then left.
As Willow exited the medicine cats den, she noticed that the clan leader was walking towards her, “Willow, may I speak with you for a moment?” She was nerves, remembering the weird stare Dawnstar gave her when they first met and how creeped out it made her, but snapping out of it when trying to be respectful to the cat that let her friend get the medical attention she needed. “Of course, Dawnstar. What did you need?” Dawnstar smirked, and looked to her as if they were long time friends, “I was just going to ask you if you would like to join me and some of my clanmates to tomorrows gathering?” Willow cocked her head in confusion, “Whats that? The gathering?”
“It’s a place where the clans and pack go to discuss their news that happened between the full moons.” Dawnstar locks eye contact with her, “It’s a special night of complete peace, under Starclan’s sky.” Willow felt odd with the mention of Starclan, and she must have shown it because Dawnstar gave her a nerves look. “Are you okay?” Worried, she picked herself up in a hurry, “Yes, Dawnstar and thank you for inviting me, I would love to go.” She said in a fast pace speech, “O…k? I need to get back to somethings, good bye.” She then starts to leave, but looks back to Willow. “Oh, can you tell Slatepaw that he’s coming too?” Willow nods quickly, Dawnstar gives her a small wave of the tail of thanks then walks away.
Willow rushes in to the apprentice’s den with two birds she caught, spotting Slatepaw grooming himself from a long sleep with Whitepaw talking to Swiftpaw in a the back of the den. As she entered the den, all the cats eyes landed on her, she mostly felt the hatred coming off of the ginger tabby, Willow went to the nest next to him and sat down. Looking over to Whitepaw now just calming down Swiftpaw, “Come on, lets get some fresh-kill.” She looks at him then to Willow, “Fine, let go before we get fleas.” Willow was sick of this she-cat, “Oh, you should know about fleas Swiftpaw, the elder’s said you did a good job cleaning theirs.” She looked like she was ready to attack, but Whitepaw just pushes her out the den. Slatepaw just gives her a small shove, and she gives him one of the birds. “Thanks! I was starving!”
“Good, and you’re welcome.” She said while tearing in to her bird, he started to do the same. “So, where did you go?… I mean, I was surprised when you were gone and I was worried that you would be gone forever!” Willow looks to him with a odd gaze, Slatepaw took a long, awkward moment. “Slatepaw, Berry has to take a long time to recover, and I’m not leaving without her so don’t worry.” She didn’t want anyone to know that she’s joining the clan until Berry made her decision. “Anyways, I just checked up on her and caught the birds.” She then remembered the meeting with Dawnstar, “Oh and Dawnstar said we’re going to this thing called the gathering.” Slatepaw looked at her like she was feasting on a kit, “You mean my punishment is over! I can go back to the gathering!” Willow couldn’t help but wonder, “Punishment?” He didn’t hear her over he’s own excitement, “I can’t wait to see Lupus again, he’s my friend from Sunpack an-” He stopped then looked as if he realized something, “Wait, you’re going too?” Willow just nods to him, “But you’re not a clan cat?” She rolled her eyes, “So?”
“The gathering is a clan cats and pack dogs only thing.” If that was true then why did Dawnstar invite her? “Well anyways it cool you’re coming with, I like having a friend to go with.” She folds her ears back, “Friends is kinda strong of a word for us but going with someone I sorta know will be fun, I guess.” Slatepaw didn’t seem like he heard her, so she just focus on finishing her bird.
