The whole reason my OC Louis uses daggers over a sword is because he's very...small and genuinely even one handed swords are a bit too big for him to comfortably use.

Hela the Unchosen, has a whole lot, on account of being sacrificed to Molag Bal. Twice. Once by her own father

Realistically, she probably has a confusing amalgamation of accents, since she mostly looks Breton, but she grew up in Eastern Skyrim, but she spent a lot of time around Orcs, but she also got sent to Coldharbour and was kinda mentored by Cadwell and Lyranth, but she escaped and joined House Ravenwatch. So she talks in a wild mix of dialects.

I think it's hilarious that she escaped Coldharbour to immediately team up with the rebel Son of Coldharbour, Verandis Ravenwatch, without knowing it since she lost her memory

Tragically, she has no idea what a reasonable approach to parenting or mentoring is, since she lost her memories and didn't have that good of a home life before that, what with her mother leaving and her father eventually trading her to a daedra for power, and then being mentored by a dremora and a madman in Coldharbour. It makes her rather confused when Lyris and Fennorian try to actually keep her safe during the early parts of the Western Skyrim storyline

So, this is about my ESO Vestige, Hela the Unchosen, whomst I started out in the Greymoor chapter with all the spy shenanigans and murder and vampire bullshit. She imprinted on Lyris Titanborn pretty much immediately, and Fennorian Ravenwatch pretty soon after. The scene is just after finishing up at the Mount Kilkreath temple that got destroyed by the aforementioned vampire bullshit

Lyris Titanborn doesn't look uncertain all that often,  but she does now.

“I guess it depends on what you mean by that.  You're younger and more breakable than me, so an equal in heavy-hitting rough and tumble brawling?  No.  I would rather you did have to tend your own injuries and handle your problems alone as much as I did when I was a teenager freshly out on my own,  but I won't try to keep you out of this mess, not when you were already involved before I met you. I see you as an equal in courage,  certainly.   And definitely my better in magic,  the way you made those frost spells look so natural. What's got you asking,  partner?”

“The guards talk down to me, the people we've met in this investigation all do except Fenn, and I'm not sure he knows how human ages work.  High elves don't seem to be very good at that when they're alive, much less undead.”

“Well, I know most people might be calling you kid as an insult,  but I'm impressed that a warrior as young as you is willing to keep going with this after a whole lot of unfriendly vampires got involved.  I trust you with my life, but I don't want to leave you to face something like that alone again.  I wouldn't be too thrilled to face that many face-munching monsters on my own, and I've been a warrior longer than you've been alive.”

Her big hand settles gently on my shoulder 

“This investigation has gone from looking into suspicious activity to damn near all-out war.  Let's stick together from here on out.  If there's any chance of encountering the enemy,  nobody goes in alone.   Not even Fenn, and he still gives me the creepies.”

I pat her wrist and grin a little 

“Yeah, I'm not in any big hurry to find out if I'm delicious.  I just want to get back to Solitude and yell at all the people who wouldn't listen to us before all this happened”

Hela the Unchosen (my ESO Vestige) learned to play the lute to impress her Uncle, and also occasionally got lessons from Cadwell, the cheerfully insane character who appointed himself a parental figure to her when she was trapped with him in literal hell

Started a new playthrough, and went straight to Western Skyrim. Hanging with Lyris is always a hoot

But also, it's THE Dark!Hela song. Is it incredibly stupid to be making headcannons for an au of an oc fic I haven't written and may never write? Yes! Can anyone stop me? (I mean probably yes, I'm wildly insecure about this shit) No!

Holy fuckin shit

So I recently read Sermon 12 of the 36 Sermons of Vivec, and my headcannon that Verandis Ravenwatch is actually a chimer took off and ran with it. In my personal interpretation of events, he was Dagoth Verandis, younger brother to Voryn. In a moment of desperation when the war to free Resdanya took a bad turn, he offered himself to Molag Bal in exchange for the power to kill the leaders of the occupation. As a result of his becoming a vampire, he was banished.

The new addition tonight is the idea that Vivec was in love with him (and he was willing to offer himself to Molag Bal to save the revolution, possibly with Vivec's help)(romantic or not, that's love) and the 12th sermon is Vivec doing as he does and telling the truth in the least truthful way possible.

The other headcannon of the evening is about how in my Isnene the Swift backstory, Nerevar knew Lylorian Dynar before coming to Morrowind. And if so, then the reason Dagoth Verandis wound up on the far side of the map from Resdanya in the First Era, was because he was following the trail of his old friend's old friend. If this doesn't make sense timeline wise, the timeline can suck my non-existent girl dick

No sure what to do with all this, except that as he becomes a father figure to Hela the Unchosen, he would probably be involved in some way with the Harrowing of Coldharbour in the main questline, and might finally be able to say hello to Lylorian for Nerevar. Only an age late
