Hey guys, I rarely every make posts but I'm really in need of help. I recently got a job but it doesn't start for a couple of weeks and I was hoping someone might be generous in sending me a little money to get diapers and wipes for my baby. I get some government assistance where I live but it doesn't cover those items. I lost my previous job during a mental health emergency I was having due to a poor reaction to medication. My mom did help some but she can't afford to help anymore. I start my job at the end of September 2021 (the 25th if it matters). I'm just desperate for any help right now.

Wrigley has still been having trouble with his leg post-ACL surgery and follow-up X-rays this week showed his body is having a reaction to the metal plate in his leg. 😔 He’s been put on some heavy antibiotics and pain meds and will have the plate removed if the infection isn’t resolved. The good news is his Lyme disease values are much lower than when we rescued him 11 months ago, so his treatments have been successful! Running a non-profit means we rely on the public for support, and though fundraising is our least favorite part of the job, it is more necessary than ever when we intake animals with the myriad of health problems Wrigley had (skin issues, heartworm, Lyme disease, burst ear drum, ear infection, arthritis, and a previously torn ACL that was not surgically repaired). Our vet bills this year have almost doubled our annual average and it’s only June. 😳 We still have $3200 to raise to pay for Wrigley’s surgery(and more if he has to have the plate removed). We know gas prices are high money is tight, but if you are in a position to spread generosity and help others, he (and we) would be so grateful. Dear Miss Chase, My wish for Christmas is to get a stove to cook on for the holidays. I’ve been trying for 3months to get a stove/fridge. I am not unemployed. I have a Job but the salary isn’t enough to cover my rent, transportation to and from work or lunch. I can do alot of different things. Cleaning, gardening, painting, valet vehicles, I can even run errands does anyone who can’t leave home. Any extra work I would take. Hello, my name is Saja. I’m a mother to a beautiful 8-month-old baby girl, writing this from a place I never imagined I’d be — surrounded by destruction, holding on to my daughter while the world around us falls apart. 💔

We used to have a home. 🏚 A simple place, but it was filled with love. Now it’s gone. What remains are memories, silence, and an overwhelming fear of what tomorrow may bring.

Each day, I wake up not knowing if we will make it through the next. My daughter should be learning to walk, to smile at strangers, to feel safe in her world — but instead, she’s learning to live in the middle of a war zone. 🕊️

I’m not writing this to ask for pity. I’m sharing our truth because silence won’t protect us. Maybe, through this message, someone will hear us — and care. 🤍

🚨 BUFFY NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🚨 Last week we introduced you to Buffy the beagle. An ex breeding girl who’s about to get a whole new life, but this past week has been one of her toughest yet. When our amazing vets were about to desex her, her bladder suddenly ruptured endangering her life. A ruptured bladder means that urine leaked into her abdominal cavity which is very dangerous and life threatening. It was touch and go and things looked ominous. We rushed into the clinic to be by her side. Our vet tired one last procedure to try and save her life, a graft. With the graft in place, she was stabilized and a urinary catheter was put into place and she was placed onto an time for an IV drip. Her bladder needs to heal and to start working properly again before they could take the catheter out. This means strict crate rest, strictly measuring all her water intake and and output. Down to the last milliliter. We took it one day at a time. She made it through Friday, then Saturday and Sunday too. She refused to eat or drink so we had to syringe what little water we could into her to kick start that bladder. Monday came and she was still stable. So far so good. Lots of monitoring, regular ultrasounds to check that her bladder is in tact, lots of pain relief and antibiotics to give her the best fighting chance. She is still stable and still under the watchful eyes of our brilliant surgeon and vet nursing team. She is not out of the woods yet though so please keep her in your thoughts this week and send some good healing vibes her way.
