frigid air (fic commentary)

literally no one asked for this but hello! hi! if you didn’t know, i wrote a 11 chapter fic called ‘frigid air’ a few weeks back. the fic started as jayhoon centric, but it kinda got off the rails from there hehe

the birth of the idea

so the bri from a few weeks ago was already thinking about writing a lengthy enha au. 

i just finished writing a jakehoon one shot and wanted to try my hand at writing another ship! at first, i thought of typical au ideas that were college themed. those are the most fun to write and read imo, bc it’s so grounded in reality. and also bc the jakehoon one shot i wrote was a lot heavier and angsty, which was something i think i’m better at doing! there’s this really great fic i read that inspired me to try my hand at some lighter themes! 

after reading that au, i was like “hmmmm im gonna try writing some romcom type of stuff.” i always ALWAYS write angst, so this was a really nice and fun change! 

yes, back to the college au ideas. i then began to think about what majors the enha kids would do if they went to college. my notes for the first outline kind of went like this: 

Jay - fashion major, new addition to the dorm, is rich but doesnt want anyone to know, is kind despite being taken advantage of in his hometown, just wants a normal family 

Heeseung - music production major, has a soundcloud lowkey but doesn't let anyone know, is going thru his first real heartbreak and is using music to deal with it 

Jungwon - hasnt decided on a major, came to uni w a full ride taekwondo scholarship, secret boyfriend, coming to terms w sexuality 

Jake - australian exchange student, architecture major, maybe gets a weird stalker? 

Sunoo - beauty school, wants to be a hairstylist, kinda eccentric, knows everyone’s business

Sunghoon - figure skater, doesnt go to school, is close to getting on the national team, lives in a dorm to avoid his tiger parents, softspot for his younger sister

Niki - dance major from japan, is a little too clingy, feels lonely away from his family 

in hindsight, the characters here seem a lot more deeper and fleshed out as compared to what i ended up writing, but i realized that if i kept all of this in - it would’ve been really overwhelming for the reader. i had to remind myself that this was a jayhoon centric fic LMAOOOOO 

after writing this, i was like “WAITTTT A HOT SEC” this sounds a lot like hello my twenties! which btw, is an amazing show on netflix that you should definitely watch. i watched this show with my girlfriend and man, the way it handled all of the a,b,c, etc plots was so fantastic. 

every character had their own stories and that’s what i loved. usually in fics or aus, a lot of the side characters sort of fade into the background. they also do this thing where their main reason for existence is to lift the mc or main ship up in the story. i wanted to avoid that, so taking inspo from hello my 20s, i decided to give every character a story. whether it be something big like sunoo’s stalker or something small like heejake’s and jungniel’s development, i wanted to give them all something to tell. in hello my 20s, each of the girs living in that house had their own unique stories that fit them really well. whether i did it as well as the writers of the show - that’s something else to unpack, right? 

the characters and their developments 

so this is something i’m not sure if i did well in or not. the original plot was to have jay and sunghoon not get along at all. with jay’s abrasiveness and sunghoon’s surface coolness, i thought it would be fun to see them butt heads. but i realized that it wasn’t so realistic because they don’t really see each other enough to butt heads that much. i thought making sunghoon shy and reserved (thus standoffish) while jay tries his best to make sunghoon open up was a lot more cuter. 

jay is a lot more bold in this, even through his embarassing moments. he’s self-assured, determined and open to pretty much anything. he’s generous and friendly. the only weakness jay has is he’s too presumptious sometimes and assumes stuff without any real basis, as seen with him assuming that ryujin and sunghoon were dating bc of a passing remark from jake and some yt comments. i gave him a dead dad at the end of the fic bc hello we’re projecting but also to explain why he’s super close to his mum and why he’s just a tad bit behind everyone else his age. i wanted to expand on this a little but sadly, i kinda ran out of words to talk about this. if you know what i mean. tbh, jay doesn’t have much of a development in this. that’s something i really want to improve on in my next au, giving my mc some actual development instead of getting carried away with other side characters. 

sunghoon is, as i said, shy and reserved. he has a lil trauma from being rejected by seon years ago. you can tell that his experience was not pleasant at all - so he keeps feelings of attraction and want farrrrrr away from him. sunghoon is sorry he’s an anti-romantic, if you will. throughout this fic, you see him open up to jay and realize that not every guy he’s attracted to will reject him painfully. he also learns that he doesn’t need to keep people at an arms length away and that opening himself up to more people will bring about very nice things! very cliche but hey, it iz what it iz. 

jungwon was a fun one to write! not bc i feel a little of what he feels, but bc he’s adorable with daniel and having him be unsure was fun to write. jungwon is pretty self-assured in this fic, but with daniel, he’s not really sure what he’s doing. 

heeseung feels secure enough with jake that he’s willing to sing in front of him, which is something he doesn’t do. jake is very naive about relationships and hee’s feelings for him, but heeseung kind of brings him down back to reality with the scene from han river. heeseung is getting over a breakup and that stuff takes a while, so that’s why i didn’t let them get together too fast. hee knows how jake feels about him and he doesn’t want to ruin it by jumping into things so fast. 

sunoo is super friendly and too trusting with people, which is both a blessing and a curse. niki and him have been attached to the hip since their friendship started and niki sees sunoo as a very very dear friend to him. bc who else lets him sleep in his bed and who else buys him taiyaki everyday? that’s right, it’s his sunoo hyung. sunoo also cares for niki a lot and they’re just very sweet. 

what i did well and what i didn’t 

okay this is debatable, but i did like how i wrote the developing relationships in this, mostly the ones that weren’t the main jayhoon arc. i liked the way i wrote jungwon and daniel’s little friction and i loved heejake’s confession scene. 

the humour in this was a little weak for me, but it was my first attempt at writing it so it’s forgivable. 

i just wished i wrote the main relationship better. i feel like it took a while at the beginning and suddenly went from 49 to 27403 real quick. if i were to rewrite it, i’d give them a lot more time to pine as that stage before friends and maybe insert more conflict. 

i’d give jay a stronger conflict other than trying to befriend with sunghoon. his character felt very 1d for me and i didn’t like that. i needed to develop him more tbh LMAOOO

You met Kokushibo at an Upper Moon meeting , you were the new upper moon 5 after Gyokko was defeated by the Mist Pillar . At first Kokushibo didn’t mind , he had no opinion on you . That was until Muzan asked if you both could train together since you also use breath instead of just a demon blood art ( much to Kokushibo dismay ) . Upper Moon One wasn’t much of a talker , was usually quiet while training . He would maybe say a few words .. like telling you what to work on , breathing techniques and answering your own questions . It was just really weird for him to be training with someone , he’s literally Upper Moon One like wtf ?? You both also went on missions together .. after all that time he still considers you just someone that works under Muzan . Like a co-worker >:D but you on the other hand .. you started to fell some way for the demon . Honestly it was very complicated and took a very very long time to work things out .

For me , Kokushibo doesn’t enjoy PDA . So that’s a big no no ... he will push away any affection out in public but he still loves you don’t worry !! He just has his own way of showing affection . One day Ponyboy had to go to Buck's place and while he was in Dallas' room saw Lilac

When he asked him about it Dallas was going to make an excuse but just decided to tell Ponyboy about it

Ponyboy told him he wasn't gonna tell anyone and he kept his word

He kept telling Dallas to tell the gang for a week

It took him a lot to tell the gang he was a little

They all had mixed reactions

All of them were very confused until he explained what it is

(Except for Ponyboy of course)

Darry started to feel more protective over him 

Johnny was surprised because he didn't think of all people Dallas would ever be a little but he was cool with it as long as it helps him

Sodapop is actually really happy about it and he wouldn't mind playing with him when he's in little space

Steve was a little uncomfortable knowing that the reckless hood was a little but he came to accept it

Everyone was waiting for Two-Bit to respond but all of a sudden he just walked out the door without saying anything

Dallas was on the verge of a panic attack and it took awhile for the gang to calm him down

It wasn't until later when Two-Bit came back but this time with a bunch of stuff

He'd gotten Dallas a stuffed animal, bottles, and even a fluffy blanket

Dallas almost started crying ngl

At the end of the day he was just happy his only family accepted him (#supportivegang2020)

When he's in little space the gang tries their best not to smoke or drink around him

On Sundays when they're all not busy they'll watch Disney movies together

One or two of the gang members is alway with him when they're out in public 

With The Gang:

Ponyboy:

Ponyboy reads to Dally whenever he sees him having a bad day or getting nervous 

Whenever Ponyboy reads to him Dallas either has his head in his lap while Ponyboy occasionally runs his hand through his hair or has his head on his shoulder 

On the occasion Dallas tags along with Ponyboy to the library and sometimes picks out a random book he finds interesting or Ponyboy would like and show it to him

Secretly he hopes that Ponyboy would read it out loud to him 

Darry and Soda won't allow him to go to Buck's but if Dallas calls and says he needs him he will not hesitate to go out the door to care for his boyfriend

 If Ponyboy has track Dallas waits for him until it's over

Going to the lot has become a weekly thing for them

When Dallas isn't looking Ponyboy would sneak in a paper that has a poem on it in either his jackets or his pants

Since Dallas never really went to school he has a hard time reading huge words or some so when he's reading over Ponyboy's shoulder he'll ask him

"What's that word?"

"This one?"

"Yeah."

"Absquatulate?"

"Oh." 

Ponyboy finds it fucking adorable

Sodapop:

Sodapop would take him to Dairy Queen and get sundaes and park somewhere with a nice view or park in the parking lot and watch the cars go by

Dallas often goes to the DX and wait until his shift is over 

Sometimes Sodapop will randomly put his hat on Dallas

Whenever girls try and flirt with Sodapop, Dallas either gives them a death state or tell them to fuck off and say he's taken

 When Dallas starts crying Soda will wipe away his tears with his thumbs and kiss his cheeks

Jokingly gave Dallas a promise ring he found somewhere not expecting him to actually wear it but was surprised when he saw it on Dallas' finger

If they're at a party sometimes Soda wanders off but once he sees how uncomfortable Dallas he is he's immediately back at his side

Ponyboy and Darry have walked in on them cuddling on the couch SO MANY TIMES

One time they walked in on them making out heavily Darry had to cover Ponyboy's eyes

Sodapop thinks Dallas looks H O T in his flannels

Darry:

Dallas would always steal borrow Darry's shirt because he feels comforted by it whenever Darry's at work

He absolutely loves it when Darry wraps his arms around him and would always snuggle closer to his chest

(If you really think I'm gonna let Patrick Swayze's singing voice go to waste you're very mistaken)

Whenever he's having a hard time sleeping Darry would usually sing to him until he falls back asleep

Or when Dallas is on edge Darry will hold him close to his chest and sing to him softly until he feels calm again 

Dallas loves Darry's morning voice because it's so low and low key a turn on

When they're out in public Darry would hook his finger around Dallas' belt loops on his jeans to keep him close to him

Some people don't fuck with Dallas as much because they know if they do they'll have to deal with Darry and no one wants to do that unless they have a death wish

If Dallas starts acting up in public all it takes is for Darry to whisper in his ear "behave" 

Darry once talked about the type of flowers his mom liked and kept in the house then a few days later when he got off work he saw the flowers he was talking about in a vase on the dining table with a paper attached saying "Don't ask where I got the flowers and vase"

He almost started crying right then and there

When Dallas is drunk he'll cling to either Darry's chest or back like a koala

One time one of the gang walked in on Darry cooking while Dallas just clung to his back but they didn't say anything in fear of waking up with their dick cut off

Johnny:

Surprisingly Johnny gets protective over 

He will now hesitate to throw down when someone starts talking crap about them

If they're out in public Johnny's always holding Dallas' hand 

Or if they're at the Curtis' Johnny would glance at Dallas every so often to see if he's okay

They both helped each other let their walls down 

When Johnny sees Dallas on edge or not at his best he nudges his head against his shoulder or on his face in hopes of cheering him up (it works more often than he thought it would but he ain't complaining)

 Johnny sometimes shows Dallas some of his favorite places around town

They've fallen asleep in the lot cuddled next to one another multiple times

Johnny tops Dallas sorry not sorry

Sharing cigarettes like kisses

Johnny mindlessly puts his arm in front of Dallas whenever someone's trying to pick a fight

Dallas would usually say something back but would low key be blushing

Whenever Dallas' on the verge of having a breakdown Steve will drive Dallas around town to calm down

Soft music would be playing in the background while Steve either rubs Dallas' thighs or hold his hand

Dallas would run his finger around Steve's tattoo whenever they're cuddling

Dallas loves laying his head on Steve's chest because it's both soft and muscular 

When he does Steve softly plays with his hair

Whenever he leaves for work he wraps his shirt or jacket around him so Dallas could sleep better

Steve is really observant so whenever he sees something wrong with Dallas he always asks if he's okay

Will glare at anyone who's eyeing his Dallas

Never ever takes his anger out on Dallas

Dates at the drive in movies and later eating at the diner

A to Z relationship headcanons (sfw)

As mentioned before, I have been working on filling out some askmemes on my own to further flesh Jin out. Here is the first one. It’s the sfw version of the A to Z relationship ask meme.

A= Affection (how affectionate are they with s/o)

A good samurai is in control of his emotions at all times, careful not to let any passions sway him from his duty. Jin might be The Ghost now, but some habits are hard to break. In public, he is not overly affectionate, but he’s not cold. Rather, he is more subtle: a lingering glance, his hand brushing against yours, standing just a bit too close to be considered proper in polite society. Behind closed doors, he is a lot more affectionate, but only after a lot of verbal flirtations and insinuations. He doesn’t start to get touchy-feely until he’s ready to sleep with someone. Or if he’s been drinking and his inhibitions are lower.

B= Breath (what could their s/o do to take their breath away)

If his partner does something that surprises him, or that Jin feels he is unworthy of. If he knows that his partner has done something for him that would majorly inconvenience them, he would be so impressed. He reasonably expects his partners to take care of their own needs before his, but when they do something for him and put themselves second, he is so, so touched. He knows how rough the world is and what their little act of self sacrifice would mean.

C= Cuddle (do they cuddle? If they do, how and when do they cuddle?)

He does, but largely only in extremely intimate moments (post-coitus). At that point, he’s broken past his restraint and given into his passions, so he doesn’t care about decorum anymore. In these intimate moments, he can be almost clingy. He wants to drink in as much of his lover as possible and savor the physical sensations before having to go back out into the real world and take up all of his worries again. 

D= Dream (what do they dream of doing with their s/o?)

Jin knows it’s futile to think about, but he would love nothing more than to be able to somehow be reedemed in the eyes of the Shogun and have his title and lands restored. Then he would want to make things official with his partner by marrying and having children. However, some serious changes would have to happen from the top down, so he knows this dream is impossible to achieve. But he would love to give his love a happy, comfortable life on the Sakai Estate. Even just settling down living a simple peasant’s life and raising a family on a farmstead would be nice, too, and probably just as impossible.

E= Effort (how much effort do they put into a relationship?)

If Jin is going to do something, he’s going to put all of himself into it. This includes relationships. He’ll give and give and give until the point of exhaustion. With the wrong person, this can turn out badly for him and he does open himself up for people to take advantage of him. But Jin doesn’t think twice about the way he acts because he is driven by his desire to do his best. His partner inspires him to keep going, and if he doesn’t feel that with them, then he doesn’t think the relationship is worth having. At least, not romantically.

F= Fear (what do they do if their s/o is scared? How do they handle it?)

He will figure out the root of their fear and try to handle it for them. Depending on the situation, Jin has no problem jumping into a fight so that the person he loves doesn’t have to. He hates seeing his partners suffer, so he will do everything in his power to stop the source of the fear. He is also always ready with a word of reassurance or encouragement when needed. He is a little more awkward about physically comforting someone, but he’s getting better. As long as his partners need, Jin will sit and be a steadfast source of support and solidarity.

G= Gifts (what type of gifts do they give their s/o? Do they want a gift in return?)

Jin would want to gift his lover with something practical. With his life the way it is, he doesn’t have a lot of disposable income or resources, nor does he have time to be frivolous very often. Thus, the gifts he gives are ones that will save his partner the trouble of having to acquire the items themselves. Although, every so often, when he’s had too much sake, he’ll find something beautiful (a flower, a poem, a particularly nice adornment) and leave it as a gift anonymously. He thinks he is being sneaky, but his partners always know it is from him.

H= Hugs (do they hug their s/o? How often?)

He is generally not a hugger. That’s too much of an overt display of physical intimacy and it would embarrass him.

I= Intimacy (how romantic are they? Do they have problems with intimacy?)

Jin is surprisingly a romantic, although you wouldn’t think it by looking at him. But he is a prolific poet and an avid admirer of the beauty all around him, and you can’t have the soul of an artist and not be a romantic at heart. Although he is restrained, his passions run deep and would consume him if he didn’t keep them in check. It might take him a while to open up because he has to establish trust first, but when he does, he can be intensely intimate. He would do just about anything if the right person asked him to, no matter how it affects the rest of his life. He loves hard and he loves deeply, and once you have him, he’s yours for the rest of his life.

J= Jealousy (do they get jealous? How do they react when jealous?)

Jin gets very jealous, although he would deny that he does. He tries to subtly go on the offense, but he is very obvious about it (“Who is he? Whatever, it’s not like I care.”). He will act a little cooly around his partner until they call him out for it. After, when he has been reassured, he usually feels pretty silly about getting worked up, but will still deny that he was even jealous to begin with. He likes to think he is above all that.

K= Kiss (are they a good kisser? Do they like to kiss? How often do they try to kiss?)

Have you seen Jin’s lips? Of course he’s a good kisser. He won’t kiss in public very often, though. He likes to keep his romantic escapades fairly private. But if he’s alone with his partner and in an amorous mood, he’ll kiss every bit of skin he can get to.

L= Love (when do they say they love you? How often do they say it? Do they prefer to say or show it?)

Jin will do just about everything short of saying the words “I love you.” It’s not that he’s cagey about commitment. He does love his partners, but he would much rather show it with his actions and convey it with the tone of his voice. He was raised to think talking about your emotions was crass and can get easily embarrassed talking about the way he feels. However, if he feels his partner really needs to hear it, he’ll put aside his personal discomfort and tell them, and he will be really intense about it. 

M= Marriage (do they want to get married? If so, what kind of ceremony?)

He always expected he would marry and continue his family’s line. However, now that Clan Sakai is disbanded and he was declared a traitor, Jin doesn’t want, nor have time for a marriage in the traditional sense. He yearns for companionship, for someone to share his troubles and comfort him (it’s lonely being The Ghost), but he doesn’t want to tie anyone down to that lifestyle. He would feel guilty for condemning them to a lifetime of being hunted. And he definitely doesn’t want to risk bringing a child into his current circumstances.

N= Night out (what type of dates do they like to go on? How often do they like to go on them?)

Barring the fact that dating wasn’t really a thing the way we think of it in medieval Japan, it’s really hard for Jin to carve time out to have a special night with his partner. He’s busy liberating Japan from the Mongols and trying not to be captured by the Shogun, so he can’t really do frivolous things anymore. Instead, he might find an excuse to take his s/o alone with him while out scouting and spend time together that way. If he has the time and a hot spring is nearby, he might spend a few hours alone with his partner there too. But for the most part, he has to try to make his partner feel special in other ways.

O= Out of the Ordinary (what’s something they don’t normally do with/for their s/o?)

Go on outings for fun. It isn’t that he doesn’t want to, it’s just that he’s got more pressing things going on. However, he would love to be able to treat his s/o to an afternoon or a night of fun to get their minds off of things every once in a while. 

P= Playful (are they playful in a relationship? If so, how do they play around/mess with their s/o?)

Jin does have a playful side. It hasn’t come out often as of late, but it is still there. This is the man who proclaimed that a true samurai doesn’t need any clothes, after all. He’s just very strict about keeping certain aspects of his life compartmentalized. While he might throw out a sarcastic quip, a flirtation, and grin every so often, he doesn’t really let and let his playful side come to the front unless he knows he has nothing else putting pressure on him. When he feels safe and secure, he feels like he can metaphorically let his hair down and have more fun. This usually takes the form of playful teasing and good-natured ribbing. If he’s been drinking, he’ll start to get handsy too.

Q= Questions (Do they ask their s/o their opinion on things? Do they share theirs?)

Jin highly respects anyone he is in a relationship with, so he of course wants their opinion on things. It’s less that he needs their opinions, however, and more that he wants to let them know that he values their input and thinks they are important. Jin will only share his opinion with them if they ask, or if he really feels like they are making a mistake. But even then, he’ll respect whatever decision they make, but he will speak up.

R= Random (how spontaneous is their relationship? Do they do things on the spot or plan ahead?)

It is spontaneous in a way that if they find a chance to be alone together, they’re going to jump on it. It isn’t spontaneous in that there’s not really a lot of chances for that, so most of their alone time is planned. If things were different, Jin would probably be a little more spontaneous. He would probably want to do things as he feels them.

S= Sleep (how do they sleep with their s/o?)

It’s not always very romantic. Jin is exhausted a lot of the time and when it’s time to sleep, he’s out. He can fall asleep anywhere (for example: mostly upright, leaning on his horse in the mud) and he’s not very precious about it. In those instances, he’ll probably just lay down next to his partner and fall asleep there, just content to be near them while he sleeps. On better days, when he’s not bone-tired at bedtime, he’ll probably fall asleep spooning a little bit if it’s not too hot. He will sometimes toss and turn in his sleep if he’s having nightmares, however, so he tends not to latch on to his partner while he sleeps.

T= Trust (how much do they trust their s/o?)

Given his current situation, he’s not going to even attempt to be in a relationship with someone unless he trusts them with his life. Anything less than 100% and he’s not going to bother.

U= Unique (what makes them unique as an s/o?)

The fact that he is so accepting of different walks to life. You pretty much have to be a monster for Jin to dislike you. Or a traitor. But aside from that, you could tell him your deepest darkest secrets and he would not hold any of it against you. He looks at every part of a person before he makes a judgment call and he feels like you don’t owe him an explanation for anything that makes up a facet of your personality.

V= Vulnerable (how long until they can be vulnerable around their s/o? What are they like in this state?)

Jin has a habit of not always being direct about his feelings. It’s just how he was raised, so being vulnerable in front of someone can be difficult. However, if he’s in a romantic relationship with a person, it means he trusts them with his life. Even if he won’t outright say what’s bothering him, his partners can tell when he’s experiencing moments of vulnerability. He’ll change up his body language, stop putting on the stoic face he tries to keep at all times. He’ll look worried, he’ll pace around, he’ll seem uncertain; you’ll know he’s letting his walls down.  He starts doing this little by little every day until his partners don’t remember a time when he wasn’t like this around them.

W= Wild Card (get a random domestic headcanon of the character of your choice)

When Jin gets sick or injured, he’s a huge pain in his partner’s ass. He doesn’t want to be a burden to them, so he pushes himself too hard or pretends he can do more than he can and gets himself hurt. He doesn’t like to be babied either, so if he’s confined to bed, he pouts a lot.

X= XRay (what would they do if their s/o got injured?)

He would stay remarkably cool during the situation. He would try his best to handle it calmly and methodically. If he could do anything to heal the injury himself, he would do so immediately. If he couldn’t he would get help and reassure his partner the entire time so that they remained calm. However, once he stepped away from the situation, he would not handle it well at all. His reaction would depend on the severity of the injury. If it was something fatal, he would handle it very poorly. If someone caused his partner’s death, he would seek bloody revenge. He doesn’t want anger to consume him, but honestly, it probably would in this case. If his partner was maimed or hurt badly but still alive, he would handle it slightly better. He probably wouldn’t kill the person who did it to them, but he would definitely make them pay.  He wouldn’t hold back either, and he wouldn’t think about his own personal safety. However, if the injury was something minor, he might just be a little terse and restless until his s/o recovered.

Y= Yuck (do they have any pet peeves about their s/o? Are there any habits that might bother their s/o?)

I think in general, he doesn’t like when people are braggarts. You can boast a little, especially in a good natured way, but if you think you are the best and that you can’t learn from anyone, Jin hates it. As for habits that might bother a potential partner… Jin can be a bit stubborn at times and unintentionally obtuse. He comes from a place of privilege and doesn’t necessarily always realize if he is being a spoiled little rich boy. He tries to be considerate, but there are some things he just misses.

Z= Zeal (are they passionate as an s/o? Do they want or like passion?)

Jin feels strongly about everything, even though he tries not to because it can cloud his judgment. However, now that he’s no longer a samurai, he is giving into his emotions and letting himself feel more and more. Whereas before, he would probably be super uptight about any relationship he had, now he realizes life is too short for that sort of thing. He still won’t be super affectionate in public, but he will make sure his partners know just how much he cares about them. He won’t let them feel like he is taking them for granted. He would like the same in return, but he knows not everyone has had his experiences. He just wants to know that the devotion is mutual.

What’s one thing you dislike about your physical appearance?: I’m hairy, and I have to constantly take care of my skin every day (every half-day if we’re being honest) if I want to be smooth. Such a hassle. 34. Ever dated someone overly clingy?: Gabie’s very clingy but I never saw it as a problem. 35. Did you ever believe that your heart was really heart shaped?: Of course, I was a kid. 36. Ever been stabbed? Whether it was by a knife or something else?: Ohhh my goodd no no nope nope no that is the nightmare of all my nightmares.   37. Ever placed a “kick me” sign on someone’s back, or had it done to you?: No. Again, not a thing here. 38. Do you know anyone who is currently battling cancer?: I mean possibly but if there was anyone, I wouldn’t know about it. People don’t really like to throw the c-word around here, it’s a sensitive topic. 39. Do you believe in a higher power?: No. 40. Do you have an open heart or are you careful of who you let in?: A little bit of both. I’m open with everyone, but I only let very few people to penetrate even deeper layers of me. 41. Do you hate anyone?:  I hate lots of government officials. 42. What’s one scary nightmare you had when you were little?: I didn’t have any nightmares at the time. They only increased starting when I was I think 14. 43. Last person you wrote a song/poem about?: I don’t write poems for people. 44. Ever did “sexual things” at a public place, like a playground?: The farthest we’ve gone in terms of place was still pretty mild, a bathroom stall in my friend’s debut.  I don’t like the idea of going too crazy in public. 45. Last time you did something you really didn’t want to do?: HAHAHAHA I did schoolwork for the first time this week a few hours ago. I was miserable. 46. Who has changed your life for the better during the past year?: People from my now-future org!!! I’ve always been wary about potential friend groups and shut myself off the moment I find myself being closer to someone, but I’m so comfortable with these people and I’m SO happy I found them and I’m really glad I decided to apply for the org at the perfect time. 47. Do you know anyone in a wheelchair?: No. 48. Did you ever leave someone because you know you’d hurt them?: No. 49. Last thing you bought?: Lunch from last Thursday. 50. Were you a planned child?: I never thought to ask my parents that, actually.
