“It seems strange that the Princely Family of Liechtenstein does not have the "Privilege du blanc" whereas that of Monaco does. When historically Liechtenstein family members were much more religious and tied to other German and Austrian Catholic aristocratic families. It's not fair that Charlene of Monaco who wasn't born and raised as a Catholic can show up in front of the Pope wearing white while Sophie of Liechtenstein who is not only married to the current prince of Liechtenstein but comes from well-known Catholic Bavarian family, has no right to it.” - Submitted by Anonymous

Hi!
If you don’t mind me asking, which parent do you think Sisi and each of her siblings looked more like?
I think Helene looked like Max, Sisi, Maria Sophie, Mathilde and Sophie Charlotte looked like Ludovika and Karl Theodor, Ludwig Wilhelm anc Maximilian Emmanuel looked like a mix of their parents.
Hi! No I don't mind at all, I like this type of questions since I usually don't talk much about these kind of things.
Personally I agree on you with Elisabeth and Mathilde, they both looked a lot like their mom:

To me Marie resembled a bit more to her dad, specially the shape of her face (notice how they both had the same parted chin)
Tumblr media
I don't think Sophie resembled particularly to one of her parents, tho as an older woman I think she looked a lot like her grandmother Queen Caroline.
Tumblr media
With Helene I can't settle, to be honest. Here is a comparison with her parents' portraits. Maybe she also looked more like a grandparent?
Tumblr media
As for the guys: I also think they looked like a mix of their parents, tho as he grew older Ludwig Wilhelm resembled more to his dad.

In general you can see the family resemblance (remember Ludovika and Max were cousins lol) in all the kids, tho I wish we had more portraits, or better, actual pictures of their parents in their youth to compare them better.

Foreign Royals at the Coronation of King Charles III
Tumblr media
Even though we now know that the coronation on May 6th will not be a tiara event, I'll still keep a running list of foreign royals that have confirmed attendance. Traditionally other monarchs don't attend coronations in the United Kingdom unless they are from a Commonwealth country (Brunei, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malaysia, and Tonga) but they are doing away with that this time around.
Bahrain - King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
Belgium - King Philippe & Queen Mathilde
Bhutan - King Jigme Kesar & Queen Jetsun Pema
Brunei - Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah & Prince 'Abdul Mateen
Cambodia -
Denmark - Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary
Eswatini - King Mswati III & Queen Sibonelo LaMbikiza
Japan - Crown Prince Akishino & Crown Princess Kiko
Jordan - King Abdullah II & Queen Rania
Kuwait - Crown Prince Mishal Al Ahmad
Lesotho - King Letsie III & Queen 'Masenate
Liechtenstein - Hereditary Prince Alois & Hereditary Princess Sophie
Luxembourg - Grand Duke Henri & Grand Duchess Maria Teresa
Malaysia - King Abdullah & Queen Azizah
Monaco - Prince Albert & Princess Charlene
Morocco - Princess Lalla Meryem
Netherlands - King Willem Alexander & Queen Máxima
Norway - Crown Prince Haakon & Crown Princess Mette Marit
Oman - Crown Prince Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said
Qatar - Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani
Saudi Arabia - Prince Turki bin Mohammed Al Saud
Spain - King Felipe & Queen Letizia
Sweden - King Carl XVI Gustaf & Crown Princess Victoria
Thailand - King Vajiralongkorn & Queen Suthida
Tonga - King Tupou VI & Queen Nanasipau’u
United Arab Emirates - Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Non-Reigning Royals
Ashanti - King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II & Lady Julia
Baden - Margrave Bernhard & Margravine Stephanie
Bulgaria - King Simeon & Queen Margarita
Greece - Queen Anne Marie & Crown Prince Pavlos (I've seen conflicting reports about Crown Princess Marie Chantal attending.)
Hesse - Landgrave Donatus
Hohenlohe-Langenburg - Prince Philipp & Princess Saskia
Māori - King Tuheitia & Queen Te Atawhai
Romania - Princess Margareta & Prince Radu
Serbia - Crown Prince Alexander & Crown Princess Katherine

“If she wants to settle her daughters well, Camilla Bourbon-Two Sicilies should leave Christian of Denmark alone and focus more on the bachelors of Liechtenstein. Alois and Sophie of Liechtenstein have three boys in the same age group, pure blue blood and potentially at least one will be a billionaire. And those people cannot wait to see their children marry other blondes with royal blood.” - Submitted by Anonymous

Imagine being a royalist in 2024 lmao, an independent Scotland would be a republic
Not sure if you are poking me because I am Scottish and a Royalist. But nevertheless you have opened up an interesting debate! Let us get into it!
I love putting a spanner in the works and playing out hypothetical scenarios for this supposed prophecy of one who does not have the mark of a King being made a King.
This is an extension to an earlier post where the driven out of the Isles comment was presupposed by another Anon to potentially mean a Scottish referendum and a split from the Union for Scottish independence. Why then on independence would the Scots crown a King, once Charles is driven out of Scotland?
Would Scotland be for a Republic or a Restoration on Independence?
TBH before Princess Diana I would have been all for a restoration of the Stuarts to the throne of Scotland or even a Republic, as long as it meant splitting up the Act of Union and giving Scotland back to the Scots.
However Diana changed it all for me as a young teenager and having never been followers of the BRF, I was captivated, as only Diana could do! Now William carrying the Stuart line more strongly and directly through the original Stuarts albeit via illegitimate offspring vs the "official" cadet branch of the Stuarts that came via the Hanoverians; and his little Wales family have captured my heart, so I am not nearly as staunchly anti-BRF as maybe I was raised as a child. My father was a Scottish Nationalist and campaigner for Scottish independence. He was also a great fan of Robert the Bruce as the greatest King of Scots.
If there is a referendum could there be another option to a Republic... Restoration of the Bloodline of Scottish Kings and still have Scots independence?
A revival of the Jacobite successsion? (Read more on the Jacobite uprisings and the succession wars in the link below)
The current Jacobite (Catholic) heir to the Scottish throne is Prince Max, Duke of Bavaria. His full titles according to Jacobites includes Prince of England, Scotland and Ireland. Although he has publicly stated he has no interest in becoming a Pretender to the Crown.
He married Swedish-born Countess Elizabeth Douglas. The Douglas family is a noble Scottish family. (Read more about her here)
Their daughter Sophie married the hereditary Prince of Lichtenstein and will one day be Her Serene Highness of Lichtenstein. A small principality of 35 000 people, but apparently worth Euros 10bn.
Besides being a future consort to a monarch of Lichtenstein, she is second in line to the Jacobite succession.
Sophie married Prince Alois, heir and current regent of Lichtenstein, who will succeed from his role as regent on the passing of his father Prince Max.
Sophie and Alois will eventually ascend as monarchs of the Principality.
Now as a Scot, would I choose the more direct Jacobite line of succession over the cadet branch Protestant line of succession? There is the question.
Depending on your departure point whether Catholic or Protestant both William and Sophie have "equal" claims to be King or Queen of Scots. The Act of Settlement would have to be repealed to allow a Catholic on the Throne of Scotland. (Side note: The Scots never every had a King of Scotland, it was always and will always be King/Queen of Scots)
We have all no doubt watched Outlander on Netflix; as such some may have a rudimentary of the understanding of the Jacobite rebellions of James and later Bonnie Prince Charlie, Sophie is a direct descent from James the Old Pretender.
Personally, although I would like Scottish Independence if push came to shove, I would probably rather choose William than Max Emanuel/Sophie, because although Diana's Stuart lines were consider illegitimate, i.e. through the various Fitzes. Fitz is a prefix given to the father's name as a surname, when the child is born of a mistress, but yet recognised as offspring and often given titles on attainment of adulthood.
However, while Max and Sophie have not interest in their rights to the Scots throne; Sophie has three sons Prince Joseph who will be next heir to Lichtenstein (and the Jacobite succession), but she also has Prince Georg and Prince Nikolaus, either of whom would not carry the destiny of a king in their own principality, but could be named as a King of Scots, should the country want to be independent and yet still have its own monarchy based on legitimate Stuart bloodlines.
Here is Prince Georg (left) who could potentially be named as an alternative King of Scots. With his sister and elder brother Joseph.
However, the family Lichtenstein tend to prefer to remain out of the spotlight and this is maybe not what a young prince might want to take on.
Tumblr media
However, anything is possible. And for the conspiracy theorists, Jacobites and the King Harry sycophants, even Prince Georg of Lichtenstein stands a better chance than Haz to be King of Scots. If one had to pick a monarch from amongst second sons, I would take the second son of Sophie over Hazbeen any day!
