just finished watching the first ep of a show on amazon prime called Invincible, and the first 45 minutes were okay. A few swears here and there, some violence (superhero show, so obv some violence) and then blood here and there.

It really earns its 18+ rating in the last five minutes. one guys skull gets crushed (think khan from star trek, "you should have let me sleep" and all that) and it happens just slowly enough that you think he might live but no, he dies. Another person's torso bashed in and the animators show his body falling over and the organs spilling out of it, and someone else gets tossed around hulk&loki style, then when their body is tossed into another person, person 2 just gets a superpowered fist through their skull. Another head punched clean off the shoulders, then someone gets punched through the gut. Final woman standing gets herneck cracked—180 degree turn, and she drops to her knees and sits there for a second or two before she spits out blood and dies. Last good guy standing, after pleading with attacker man, literally gets his head chopped off by attacker's hand and the animators decided to include the veins and arteries that connect to the head when drawing the decapitated head

And there was nothing like this in the rest of the episode!!! The rest of it was barely pg-13 or tv14 i guess and I was very invested in the characters!!! I knew smth was going to go wrong because of some hints dropped by bakcsotires and the series description, but it was not necessary to put that disgusting display before me. In all seriousness, how dare you make me watch this with my own two eyes. I have these images bouncing around in my skull the night before I start a new job, and bc I work for the first time tomorrow I can't go watch like Technoblade or Philza vids or smth until i pass out. I'm really upset that this show was so graphic so suddenly. It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a sour image in my brain.
