The First MOST INTERESTING Herotome Poll

For posterity...

In yonder days before tumblr blessed me with arcane poll magic, I hosted a little popularity contest on a different site.

Here it is, the results of the first ever Herotome poll from 18th September 2021, with a total of 77 votes:

Who's the most INTERESTING Herotome love interest so far? 

DART won first place at 32%, and was well in the lead for the entire duration of the poll.

Warden and Griffin were neck and neck at 25% and 23% respectively. (Griffin lost by ONE VOTE).

Mia was at 16%.

And finally, sweet Jade was at 4%.

I got a message or two saying they felt bad for Jade after they saw the results, but we really didn’t mind! Jade has yet to show off her final form, after all.

We’re biding our time. 💚

About your flirt heart poll (for lack of better words), I think it's glitched? It's showing 0 people picked the third choice, but I know I did.

To give yall a current count (esp now that it's slowed down a bit),

1) Show a heart next to ALL flirty choices; regardless of whether they succeed or fail. - 67 votes

2) Show a heart next to choices where flirt will succeed; DO NOT show a heart next to flirts destined to fail. - 43 votes (+1 anon)

3) Do not show any hearts; let me play blind! - 0 votes (+1 anon)

For a total of 110 votes (+2)

So if you tried to use the poll but the number hasn't changed, feel free to let me know. :) It's all quite informal.

+1 for I like to play blind. The only time I like it is when it is shown after I have picked my choice already and it never gives a number. The only example right off the top of my head is Mystic Messenger or Hakuoki.

Dragon Age too, I think, with the disapproval and approval notifications.

Mystic Messenger is an interesting one, since they'll sometimes show the lovely heart animations after certain "bad" choices - but because the choices themselves are written quite clearly, I always knew when I was being awful. 😂 I was rarely blindsided by bad endings (except this ONE TIME when I apparently joked too much about crawling into a cage), which I think is key.

I haven't played Hakuoki, but I might need to give it a try to see their approach.

Yeah it does look like it's not counting the last option 🤔 The comments have been leaning heavily toward 1 and 2 though, so... if anyone has strong feelings about option 3 lemme know! My goal is clarity in design; I really wanna take into account what makes the most sense to y'all from a user perspective.

The poll won’t count my vote for having a heart only next to good choices :( I’m not for sure why, I tried on my phone and laptop but I just wanted to throw this out there in case it’s not just a me problem 💖
