Sure!!

Bautista is a consummate stoic tech head; their time in the military rearranged some of their brain, so they jump to conclusions and bend to authority even when they really shouldn't, but they're your best friend. Marianna has more of a hair-trigger temper than Marc does, and generally speaking will be tougher on the player for their mistakes. They're allergic to cats but like them anyway, and they have two younger sisters. They can and will eat raw scorpion peppers and they don't get why no one likes their (spicy. so so so spicy. too spicy) firecracker sauce.

Nazeri grew up nouveau riche, which shows, but is otherwise a nice person with extraordinarily bad taste. Former CIA recruit, best driver in the cast, most fashionable in the cast, biggest ego of the cast. Asiyeh and Amir are both hijabi. Amir dresses like their name is Sock -- lots of bright colors, frogs, mushrooms, overalls, chunky shoes, etc. They wear glasses with fake lenses in them. Asiyeh and Asad are more into delicate, elegant muted pastels and minimalism. They have a thing for the tracker even before the game starts, which morphs into something of a friendly rivalry if they're not being romanced. Wakes up at 6 AM to jog and do yoga.

Devin is a total mystery to many, and operates as something of a community + spiritual leader + mayor + free therapist for the townspeople of Warden. They sure do enjoy their job! The last of Warden's long lineage of Graves, which has occupied the same role and home for two hundred years. They own and operate Marigold Cafe, which is one of the only places to go out and eat in town. They have a blue budgie named Marisol, who is deeply spoiled, and is the cafe's resident radio. Makes their own jewelry. Crochets. Bakes. They have a lot of time on their hands.

Trace is Warden's infamous nuisance animal. There are stories about them dating back to the early 1900s -- but where they came from, nobody knows. Fan of all music, hush puppies, and doggie chew toys. Best friends with Marisol the bird. Cannot read. The worst driver out of the entire cast, and in no circumstance should they be allowed behind the wheel. Technically they do not sleep.

Hello, I blinked and March was over. Another busy/hectic month in regards to Real Life things + I got pretty sick at the end of it (because being sick in February wasn't enough lol). With that being said, here's what I did get done:

Wrote 16.1k words (Chapter 2 total word count: 27.4k )

Started editing/coding in the start of Chapter 2

Did some more coding/tweaking for stat pages

Fixed some variables in Chapter 1 + added piercings and facial hair options to character customization (these will all be added when Chap 2 releases)

With that being said, I thought Chapter 2 would be a max of 30k words, but all the small branching and flavor text in this chapter is really adding up lol. Of those words written, most of it went towards the Lars/Student Warden path. I did however write one of the three endings, and one of two of the RO pov ending scene variants.

With that said the Rhea/Student Government path should be a lot shorter since it's more straight forward, and once that's done, all that's left is a handful of smaller scenes/variants to finish up and then Chapter 2 will be done! I'm guessing it'll end up being between 40k to 50k words in total. I'm hoping to finish up the writing in April and then code everything in to release it by late May! This is obviously very tentative, but unless the universe decides to cause mayhem once more, that's what I'm aiming for!

My Signalis experience [part 2]

No Spoilers this time.

I consider myself to be a lucky one because I live with my beloved @tinyflything (check it out btw, you may find few cute kolibris there) with whom we can talk for hours and on any topic. We are different. I always been more interested in global aspects like history of humankind, society and role of an individual in it (you know, the things that are actually very important and defying our lives more then anything else, but are too complicated and contradictory for a single character's arc and therefore nearly extinct from modern media). Ro, on the other hand loves horrors and arthouse and keep giving me valuable insights about deepest corners of a single persons feelings, mind and soul.

You can guess where I'm going with it… Signalis became the first thing we are equally obsessed about in our 10+ years.

After I shared my first experience of Signalis I just had to show it. You know, my beloved is kinda REALLY BAD in video games >_> The usual gameplay routine would be: bolting in random direction, screaming in panic, die, laughing hysterically, respawn, repeat… So we placed another chair by my screen and finally I was ready to return to Signalis.

It was one dusk till dawn 9-hours long session and this time I had a luxury of seeing the Game from additional perspective. First of all, I was listed with EVERY SINGLE reference to Silent Hill, David Lynch and many others, lol. But besides that - many new and interesting for me interpretations. And above all: stop analysing and focus on feelings. Think later as much as you want, but don't miss the only truth of Signalis: everything you felt playing it first time was right.

One thing I'm glad Ro pointed out and I want to point out here is how right Rose-Engine depicted authoritarian society. It's not just oppression, propaganda and nazi-like uniforms… There are enough hints to let us know that even oppressors themselves are not benefiting from such social formation. Wardens are under constant control by other wardens, Stars, sisters in arms, oppressing and physically harassing each other on daily basis and all of them scared of being decommissioned and eliminated the very moment they can't fulfil their functions to full capacity. Some of them however made inner peace with that, like Beo… but somehow that's even worse. We know nearly nothing about the Leaders of the Revolution but rest assured, even they have no freedom and live in constant fear of being brutally smashed and replaced by same machine they currently driving. Society is also a Gestalt - something bigger and very different then just a summary of it's individuals. So thanks again Rose-Engine, for doing this part right. I wish more games and movies focus on this aspect, instead of Star-Wars-like "good people just have to kill all bad people and then everything will be good again", which, I have a strong feeling, is exactly how Eusan Nation started.
