A is for Ashton! He's an older oc, specifically a fankid, specifically the son of Greaseball and Rusty. My headcanons have changed a lot, so he's gotten a bit of a revamp like most of my older ocs.

Trainfolk are manufactured, not born. However, he and Greasetrap (Another Rustball kiddo) are still considered "Twins" because they were made at the same time. I have plans for their designs (If I ever learn to draw finally lol), they look rather different but also very complimentary to each other.

He's the eldest of the three Rustball kids, he was activated a solid fifteen seconds before Greasetrap.

Very close to Greasetrap, they share a shed. He's very protective of their younger brother, Lucky.

Ashley is his godmother, he was named after her.

He was built very late for a Steamer, well after the age of steam had ended. He would have been a Diesel, except the folks in charge of the races wanted to see if Steam could continue to thrive after Rusty's victory.

He's very similar to Rusty (At least my version of him-), responsible and strong and very determined. He gets his temper from Greaseball. His face gets very hot to the touch (More than usual for a Steamer) when he's mad, like literally red hot. He's accidentally set several hats on fire. A literal "Hothead" lol.

Unlike his parents, he didn't really show any interest in racing. He does shunting work sometimes but his priorities lie in becoming a Repair Truck. He's got an apprenticeship under Wrench that's going well. He's also very focused on helping maintain older trains like Poppa and Belle.

He's bi, he has a girlfriend named Velour.

My voice claim for him is Josh Brener as Donatello.

C is for Coldsnap! Technically a fankid? He's the son of two other ocs of mine, Snowy and Fireball. He's a Snow Plow, converted from Steam to Diesel.

He's also a "Twin", with a Diesel named Hotspur. Like Colds, Hots was also originally a Steamer. Their parents, both Steamers, did not take this well. They're cousins to Rusty and the Rockies as Poppa and Snowy are adopted siblings.

Snow Plows reverse hibernate, they're put in a suspended sleep-like state in storage until winter. He doesn't mind missing out on the rest of the year, he much prefers the colder climate.

Like his name suggests, he can be very cold and rude. To be fair, he does sleep most of his life, he wasn't able to develop proper social skills. This is a pretty common thing with Snow Plows.

He's AroAce but doesn't really know it. He knows that romance baffles him and sexual topics make him uncomfortable, but he doesn't care to look deeper into it.

My voice claim for him is Andrew Rannells as Veneer.

O is for Omelette! Another fankid- This time, it's Oc x Canon. She's the daughter of Hydra and my oc, Runny. She's also got a sister named Heidi.

She's got energy like...how do I describe this...oh, I know.

She's basically Pinkie Pie. Complete with her hair (it's curly yellow) "deflating" when she's upset.

She does a lot of cartwheels lol

She's very new, so I don't have a lot of stuff to say about her.

S is for Sally! A relatively unknown oc that im glad to talk about more!

A saloon car, she prefers to be called that rather than a Bar Car. She's a vintage train, but she's actually not that old. Her plating and frame are from an old, broken down car. They rebuilt her insides and now she's Sally.

Part of Runny's train, shes very close friends with him.

She's very dedicated to Locomotive history, she loves to read and ask questions.

She feels body dysmorphia a lot, as her body wasn't made for her.

Dating another of my ocs, Cedric.

Her voice claim is Amy Sedaris as Princess Carolyn.

Anyway if I had kept Damien, he technically would've been the OC with the biggest family (he has three older siblings [2 brothers and the Eldest(tm) was a sister] and I think I had the idea that he had many cousins- His family was. big)

Speaking of his family, they were all prolly super wealthy too- And for the most part all partook in high-paying professions 😩 But they were all a jolly bunch !!

also yes absolutely! i do not have any puppet OCs (yet) other than my puppetsona, so my other OCs shall have to do! this will be a bit long so i'm going to put this under a read more:

we'll start with some more fandom-related OCs! here's Miiko, a Moomins OC of mine:

Miiko is a half-moomin/moomintroll (similar to how Snufkin is half-mumrik). He's in an OC x Canon poly relationship with the Joxter/Joxaren and the Mymble! His whole thing is that they're an astronomer who writes the constellations upon maps, and he also dabbles in a bit of theatre.

I also have an MHA/BNHA OC, although I am not part of the fandom/never got deeply involved into it. I still keep her because I made her when I was going through a rough friend group and so she brings me a lot of comfort as writing and re-developing her after the events helped ease the pain I was recovering from.

She is depicted to the right (on the left is @soda-sparkss OC Miasma Bakugou), and her name is Inako Saito! She was raised by the Neo-League (a recreation of the LOV in her universe) and was experimented on quite a bit as a child. This resulted in her having an unstable quirk that constantly changes, called Quirk Shift.

This isn't really a fandom necessarily, but I have a D&D character I have yet to get a chance to use yet, but I love them to bits!

This here is Kiwal! He's an avian monk who was raised by sailors upon a ship known as The Lindwurm. They very much believe in the power of friendship(tm) and they're an all around great guy! His voiceclaim is Tidus from Final Fantasy X and his themeclaim is any of Maxi's themes from the Soul Calibur series.

Moving on from fandom OCs.... onto Story/Project OCs! I'll start with a guy I haven't used in a long time:

I don't really have a reference for this version of him, but this is Bass! He started off as a Friday Night Funkin' OC a long while ago but then I changed him into an OC for a Tactics RPG Project I had in mind (similar to old Fire Emblem games or Final Fantasy Tactics). He's the Fellaen prince of an empire that worships the dragon Ouroboros. He's one of the two main characters of his story, the other being the vessel of the divine and fell dragon, Luka (whom I have 0 image references for- sorry-).

Now for an OC very close to my heart, because @soda-sparkss made him!:

Keanan (depicted on the left) is a human with a love for programming, the technical side of spaceships, etc. who was stuck being a janitor on a human fleet because the higher-ups felt he was too pacifistic. One day the ship he was on got attacked by an alien fleet (specifically, a species known as Nephorites) and was taken aboard their vessel by their captain, Tobias. He ended up getting hired there >:)

Now for a character from a project you will hopefully one day see...:

This here is Lucrum Von-Aconitum, a Nephilion (species from one of my bigger projects). He's the current head of the Von-Aconitum bloodline and thus is the Grand Judge of Terrahydrus, the Underground Canal City. He is in fact a father figure and also is very corrupt (accepts bribes and whatnot in his courtroom). We love him though <3 He is part of a very, very big RPG project I plan on making one day... it will likely change a lot once I start working on it, because the story needs a very heavy revamp (really, really badly- it sucks to me as of now).

I don't want to list any of my other story OCs from that story since I need to redesign them + rewrite the plot heavily, so I'm going to show one last silly, non-story OC:

This is Kweh-Kweh. He was originally a Modern D&D OC (grung DJ bard) but now he's just a cool OC. Peep the shinji chair on his kneepads.

hehehe i actually got a few asks for these fellas! the other ocs will take a long while to get through, but i can talk about the sharks real quick!

history: these are revamps of really old ocs of mine. they originally were just humans with shark qualities (since im terrible at drawing anything other than humanoids) but i decided to double down and just make them anthro sharks lmao. i love sharks so much, so of course i got some shark ocs

anyway tldr; they're sharks working for some generic corporate company office place called SHARK INC.

quillian white (or just "quill") is an intern there and is a somewhat typical himbo. big and strong, but also a kindhearted dumbass that doesn’t have an inside voice. however, he is smarter than you'd expect, at least when it comes to technical bullshit like math and science. his common sense and social skills just aren't the best, but at least he’s trying!

dylan martel is also an intern and is quill's roommate! he works IT and may or may not be slowly hacking the company's servers from the inside. anyway, he's fairly helpful and nerdy, but he holds a dark side thirsty for blood and money that's hard to spot. he has some... issues, putting it lightly. either way, he is fiercely protective of those he cares about!

steven owston is a company manager or something like that. he's a big serious asshole who rags on everyone (including his own boss) and demands hard work from everyone he meets. he's easily flustered, it doesnt take much to get him blushing up a storm or yelling your ears off. he hates the sun and any sort of exercise, and is extremely stressed out 24/7

alexanderia baleen (or just "alex") is... probably working at the company? maybe? no one knows what she does but it's probably important. she's a chill going gal who has some serious self-worth issues, but in the end of the day, she's always ready to chill with you in the breakrooms or behind the building or wherever. just don't ask her too many questions because she probably won't be able to answer.

mackie isuru is another company manager, and is in an intense (somewhat friendly) rivalry with owston (ironic, since mako sharks are very fast, while goblin sharks are very slow). also cousins with quill! she's very witty and cutthroat, but she always knows when it's time to kick back and party.

reeses chip is the owner of the café located in the building's lunch area. she's a little intense and can be tough to get to know since she’s so busy, but she's a very excitable gal that's always ready to talk about baking and grilling and all sorts of food-related things. might be a little blood thirsty and often makes jokes(?) of taking bites out of her co-workers

pax cupid is the big boss! yeah i know, a dolphin in charge of SHARK INC., weird. he's a big fan of sharks, and has a particular fascination with prehistoric sea animals. he dreams of one day meeting a megalodon in person, and may or may not be using company funds to make that dream a reality.

Everyone, Meet Olive Fern Cross and their lovely boyfriend Cameron (I forgot his last name but he does have one)

They’ve both been around for years, like, they legit have a whole story. It’s plenty cringe so I’ll spare details, but the lil deer plush on the shelf in the drawing is a real plush dro gifted me a few years back, and since we both have a tendency to name every plush we own, and they took a bit of time to get it to me, they named the plush Olive - and of course immediately after we both needed to make ocs for a roleplay we signed up for online the same day - and I went “oh, yknow, it’d be cool if I made mine based off of the plush you got me”, and one thing lead to another... here they are. Heck, the Olive plush is near me all the time - I’m an adult with a plush animal and I don’t care because this one fluffy deer is one of my most prized possessions.

Anyways, so the oc Olive started off about as terrible as you’d expect from an angst-driven 14 year old. so, vaguely recently (like, maybe half a year ago?) dro and I got to talking about these two again... and I got to revamp my “lost child with a broken family” into a funky lil streamer who probably does way too much lore on their minecraft smp (and, yes, we built a fictional smp because I’m a details-oriented person, Locked Gates SMP is wonderful and honestly seems way too similar to Empires for comfort)

So, I had this mental image of a twitch screenshot of them going live for a while now - and I finally got to it. Their channel name is, again, based on the beta character they used to be (memory problems my beloved-)

Cam is always in the background when they stream, he became somewhat of a cryptid for the fandom, and we love him. props to my mate for the design, absolutely love him :3

Yeah, I think this is enough storytelling, time to go rant about the details again :D

So, the shirt Olive is wearing is one I’ve already drawn them in once- it started as just “generic gamer shirt”, but idk it’s probably merch now?

Speaking of merch, the hat on the shelf has a forget-me-not on it, so it’s also merch.

already talked about the plushie, which I just had to put there, and yes, they have a gold play button (and a silver one, but yknow, priorities).

the other two things on the shelf are a snowglobe, because I have a shelf full of snowglobes (been collecting since I was 5, I have more than 50 of them), and I was stuck on what to put on, so, I put a bit of myself into their room- its a deer inside the globe, btw.

Last thing on the shelf is a deer-patterned heart shaped plush they probably got from a fan. Idk filling shelves is hard, I only have shelves in my room because I ran out of space for all my figurines, sculptures, globes, collectibles, books and plushies (I. have a lot of stuff. technically I could put it in storage but yknow emotional value of having a room full of stuff that gathers dust despite being allergic-)

So earlier today, Celest started sending me really really old art of mine, and a few of the art pieces were of a character named Oreo. She was an anthropomorphic rabbit from when I was really into Sonic the hedgehog... Hey, I was a kid, it was what I was into!

Anyway...

Oreo was pretty much my favorite OC from those days, and sometimes, I would think of her and miss her nonsense. She was nicknamed “everyone’s favorite delinquent,” playful and teasing in nature but not afraid to get her hands real dirty.

She was a runaway orphan, originally born into a wealthy family but her parents were assassinated due to her father’s business company making enemies in the wrong places. However, the assassin didn’t kill her out of guilt that he pretty much just made this girl into an orphan. (He wasn’t very good at being an assassin)

She then ran away, and ran away from orphanages that took her in until she started getting into fights, and eventually, this earned her access to an underground street fighting ring. She was a natural fighter, and quickly earned a living off of her matches.

Eventually, she found another homeless little girl, and adopted her as a little sister.

Seeing her old design made me wanna revamp her, because aside from being not human, I actually think that her backstory is still pretty solid. (I just made her way too young in the original version tbh) And now, here she is, as the Ultimate Street Fighter!

I wanted to give her a tough-yet-feminine design, sort of scruffy while keeping an element of cuteness to it. I don’t know what he actual name will be yet, but my friends suggested that her stage name/nickname remain “Oreo” and for laughs, she’s a vegetarian as a reference to her once being a rabbit anthro. (That idea might not stick though, ahaha.)

What will I do with this girl now? Who the hell knows! I just really wanted to update her. I guess she was technically my first OC, so she’s kind of special in that regard, you know? I think I technically made her when I was like..... 10.

Anyone got any name ideas for her? I’m curious!

Hello everybody! The name’s Speedy. I’m 25, from the EST timezone, and I use she/her pronouns. I’m honestly super excited to be a part of this group. I only just got into Riverdale a few months ago and binged the entirety of the series so far on Netflix. And all the while, I kept thinking how I could revamp an old OC of mine from a previous roleplay and work her into the world of the show. So let me introduce you to my baby Tessa “Tess” Adder. BACKGROUND

Tessa Rosemary, more commonly known as “Tess”, is the second child born to a young couple (Warren & Sophie Adder) from Bristol, England. She has a brother named Thomas “Tommy” who is five years older.

Growing up, her family was fairly well off. Her father owned a pharmacy that he’d inherited from his father; and they lived in the flat above the shop. Her mother worked as a primary school teacher.

At the age of five, Tess was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF). The diagnosis explained the poor weight gain and frequent infections she faced her first few years of life; and while it was nice to have an answer, the news was hard to face.

She started doing treatments multiple times a day in an attempt to better manage her symptoms; but she still spent a good portion of her childhood in the hospital as doctors worked to get her symptoms under control. 

But the days in the hospital were much preferred to days at home, especially when both her parents were around. If one was out, it was quiet; but if they were both there, it was nothing but a screaming match, led by her father. And that screaming quickly turned violent.

She was eight the first time her father laid a hand on her mother; and she was nine the first time her father put her mother in the hospital due to injuries he caused.

All the time this was going on, her older brother tried to do everything in his power to shield her from the darkness that began unfolding in the Adder flat. Tommy did everything in his power to take care of his little sister, trying to allow her to continue having as much of a normal life as possible.

At the age of eleven, Tess and her family moved to Riverdale’s Northside. They moved to be closer to family that had relocated to the area several years back. 

The abuse lasted until Tess was thirteen. That was when her mother overdosed on jingle jangle. She hadn’t even known her mother was an addict thanks to her brother working to hide that information. Apparently her mother had turned to drugs as a means to cope with the abuse from her husband shortly after the family moved. 

After the funeral, her father grew distant for a few months. He spent most of his time working to set up a new pharmacy in the Southside and even ended up moving his family to the apartment above the shop (just like back in England); and when he was home, he hardly acknowledged his children.

Honestly, Tess wished it stayed that way.

Just before her fourteenth birthday, her father’s aggression resurfaced, this time directed at his children. He began not only screaming at both children; but he also began to beat them, sometimes worse than he’d ever hit his late wife.

The abuse was hardest on Tess as her small size and the fact she was sick made it hard to stand up for herself. She was constantly in pain and covered in bruises, hiding them by wearing long sleeves and pants year round.

Then once her brother finished his classes at community college and left to attend a real university, things got even worse. With no one else around, her father focused all his abuse on her; and she prayed for any excuse not to be home.

Shortly after her brother left, she found her way to the Southside Serpents. She’d struggled with feelings of self-hatred and worthlessness caused by her father; but with the Serpents, she found a family. She found hope.

Unfortunately, she found them too late. She’d already started cutting as a means to cope with her father’s abuse; and while she’s been trying to stop, her homelife makes it hard to do so. She wants to open up about the abuse and the cutting to her friends in the Serpents; but she’s scared.

And on top of keeping the secrets of her homelife, her health has rapidly declined over the past several years. Her body is weaker; and she’s scared it’s going to official begin to fail her sooner than later.

Her brother has promised that he’s going to get a job in his field of study (engineering) after he graduates and do everything in his power to ensure Tess is safe and far away from their abusive father. 

MISC.

She still speaks with a slight Bristolian accent; though it’s become slightly Americanized over the years. There are certain words where her accent is thicker; and it gets very thick if she’s angry, upset, or excited. 

Her Serpents tattoo is located on the outside of her right forearm; though it’s often hidden by the fact she wears long sleeves all the time (to hide the bruises and her self harm scars).

Due to her petite size, a handful of individuals (mainly the Serpents) have taken to sometimes calling her ‘Tiny’ as a sort of nickname.

She’s a video game junkie; and she will absolutely destroy anyone who challenges her to a battle in Smash Bros. or a race in Mario Kart.

The way to her heart is with grape soda. She tried one during her first trip to Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe; and she instantly fell in love. 

She is absolutely 100% against drug use due to her mother’s overdose and death. She especially hates jingle jangle and those who are knowingly dealing it throughout Riverdale.

Even though she lives on the Southside, she goes to school in the Northside; though she’s not ashamed of technically being from the Southside now. She thinks the feud between the two sides of town is kinda ridiculous. 

Due to all the school she missed being sick as a child, she was held back a year. It would’ve been two; but she was able to play catch up with half the work missed over the years.

Her health has gotten to the point where she needs to sleep with a nightly flow of oxygen; but she’s trying to keep this secret as she doesn’t want to admit things are getting worse.
