My Sam & Max cosplay I debuted at a local con during the weekend!

#wasnt wearing leg padding in these so sorry sams a bit skinny #sam and max #cosplay #crunchchute art #my art #i could remake the pants and jacket entirely but that would be quite hard actually. i suck at making jackets especially #so those are just thrifted and edited #lots of color differences that bug me but. oh well #pants and jacket arent that different but its noticeable in these pics #as well as maxs hands and feet. theyre slightly lighter as the fabric i used is better quality #but i ran out of the stuff i used on his body etc and i couldnt buy more from that store as they took their sweet time shipping the stuff #oh well. didnt make them for a competition so its okay #im my own biggest hater and my own biggest critic #at the end of the day i made a handful of people really happy and thats all that matters to me #gotta share them every chance i get as i usually just make a cos #wear it to the con and then put it on the shelf #but im too happy with these to just hide them away after #they need a good scrub and after that id like to bring them to another con. next main goal is viecc but thats just a maybe right now

This weekend, I was morphed! Transformed! into the great wizard Magnificus at the KCC! After I cosplayed Leshy last year, I knew I had to cosplay my favourite Scrybe next. here it is, my final kochanski cosplay from syd supernova!! so happy with how it turned out >o<

a few details about this cosplay:

- ONE WHOLE PERSON RECOGNISED WHO I WAS! i was hoping for more but one is good. he fully came up and said “i’m sorry, are you kristine kochanski from red dwarf?”. he recognised my london jets tote bag too teehee

- she wears a watch! i didn’t even notice! mines not as chunky as hers though

- the bazookoid buttons don’t work :(

- i was going to wear a wig but couldn’t style one in time

- the bazookoid was so awkward to carry around, but i’m sure i looked cool as fuck

but ya that’s all! super fun to cosplay her and probably will again, but my main priority now is decking out a full ghostbusters cosplay. wish me luck 🤞

So happy with how these Imogen shots came out! I feel very pretty in this costume and wig but I definitely struggle with what to do with my face in photos. Neutral pretty is hard, chaotic gremlin is so much easier! 😅

Wig is from @wigisfashion (absolutely recommend, their wigs are perfect for more natural styles)

Chest lightning is done with tattoo paper (specifically, Silhouette's clear tattoo paper), it's really cool bc you can just print whatever design you want on any inkjet printer! It can be a little shiny but looks great in photos, and I've gotten so many compliments in person, too.

#those poofy skirts are very effective at hiding their lack of hips #don't need leg game when you're in a floofy ballroom gown #i mean. it would be nice if yall had leg game. get some quads up in there. maybe even some thick calves . perchance #i need thick muscled olivine revealing his glass slippers from under his skirt #his legs are LORGE and he's wearing his pretty lil stockings and walking in his heels perfectly #he practiced a lot! and now he's an expert 😊 i'm proud of him #meanwhile i want dante to try heels before wobbling and ... well #depending on whether someone witnesses him wobbling his reaction may differ #if there are witnesses he will stubbornly swear to master the high heels. if no one sees....#maybe he'll just swap out for a functional pair of boots. like quincy. i'm torn about quincy #one half of me wants quincy wearing the ugliest dirtiest most worndown boots under his new spotless dress #the other half is like YOU'RE GOING TO COMMIT. Fill for G1 - Black Cloaked Envoy on my Guardian Bingo Card!

The base pattern is taken from this daxiushan (大袖衫) pattern. To make this daxiushan (Heipaoshi's Version), I shortened the sleeves a bit, added extra length to the body, added a hood, and added the weird gauzy bits on the back. I also added some cording on the shoulders and the sides of the hood, following the design from the show as closely as I could. You'll also notice a couple decorative bands of black ribbon on the chest and at the waist, as well as a square of skightly different black fabric on the back — these are also embellishments added to follow the model in the drama.

Fabric: raw silk noil, cotton lining in the hood, a silk habotai square, silk gauze, silk ribbons, cotton cording. Entirely handsewn using waxed black linen thread.

i feel like benny, ethan, and rory are definitely the type to go to conventions in full cosplays. they'd probably dress as iconic trios from sci-fi and fantasy shows they like. and then when they all start dating each other they're still dressing as iconic trios but this time the trios are all polyam coded
