their reaction to you walking down the runway

- character(s).  gojo satoru, nanami kento, fushiguro toji, geto suguru

- cw.  gn! model! reader but maybe it might give the feel of reader being fem leaning?

- notes.  heavily inspired by few vids from the old vsfs (i... this is a self indulge work i admit sdjmsdkfj) but i DID think of writing the guys as the performers for the next hc but i’m... not sure if i should? i think i might do it if i get asks on it >< anyways enjoy!

° — GOJO SATORU

usually when you walk down the runway, he doesn’t exactly show much reaction since most of the fashion shows he’d attend that you were part of are quite serious-ish

but knowing this clothing brand, where openings and closings are looked forward to, he could feel his heart gradually pumping louder and louder when the music starts and how the circus shaped cage spun slowly

so when the lights flicker on you, his heart just... STOPS AT THERE

in his mind he would go *GASP* and i think *speaks in commentary voice* he might have forgotten he was in a fashion show cuz man’s about to STAND AND CLAP (props to suguru for anchoring him down HXHSHDHIS)

suddenly when he remembers he’s in a fahsion show watching you, he sits back down and when your alluring eyes met his, he feels like he’s being drawn in from how powerful your opening is (sheesh toru 🙄)

as you walked and held onto his gaze, you pointed at him and then gestured to your heart and he just mouths back a big “I LOVE YOU” while watching you walk past him

as you went towards the end of the runway, he had a hand to his knee while the other clenched into a fist, ready for a tiny air fist bump

the whole time he bites his bottom lips while grinning, he couldn’t contain his excitement, really. the cheers, the come hither sign before you walked out of the cage — you were like a battle angel, and the arm swing to make the fancy designs of your sleeves fly — it was everything to him

it’s gonna take him a while to calm his excitement down but even then he is still very excited for each of your appearances and of course, the clothing designs throughout the show

° — NANAMI KENTO

ken might LOOK like a person that worries about NOW, but often times his mind would wander off to somewhere into the future, just before he quickly pulls himself back to the present — that’s how it’d always been

so whoever... WHOEVER made that arrangement for you to step out just as the performer reaches that high note, and with that piece of clothing you’re wearing- WOOHh 😤😤😮‍💨😮‍💨

he thinks that THAT PERSON deserves an extra raise for making his s/o have that wonderful entry (and for allowing him to instantly stop worrying... like at. ALL.)

as you walked, the performer accompanies you up until the middle and finally lets you go by your own, who he was thankful for for calming your nerves and allowing you to have some fun grooving to their music while walking

a smile immediately melts on his lips, watching as you walked past his seating area, he doesn’t mind that you couldn’t give him your full attention, given that you were distracted by the performer

but when you got to the end and strike a pose, HE WAS HAPPILY GRINNING, he could feel his heart being filled with the utmost pride for you, remembering how nervous you were the night before

“i’m a lil’ worried ken, the design was quite... WOW, it’s amazing but i’ve never worn something like that before...” you chuckled nervously

you were right, the cuttings seemed out of place, given by how randomly placed they are but both you and him know that it’s meant to adorn the piece beneath it

turning back, when you met eyes with him, you could tell his eyes were going like ✨✨ plus that grin? his reaction got you grinning like mad too!!!!

realizing the cameras were capturing his reaction, he subtly points at you, mouthing a “that’s my love!!” before turning back to you

when you disappear into the curtains, he sighs softly, the small smile never leaving his face as he begins to wait for your upcoming appearances

° — FUSHIGURO TOJI

if he was holding a drink rn, it’d either fall or be clenched tight because LOOK. AT. YOU. looking all fierce and breathtaking like that!!

the person sitting beside him knew you were his s/o the moment they hear him audibly sucking in his breath and paused, before letting out a sigh and a small “my god”

since the current runway theme is magic, the way the light follows above you when you step out from the backstage had him eyeing you up and down- RESPECTFULLY

with each step your feet leads you, you smirk to the audiences on the left — then on the right — then you’re smiling in shyness when you meet his gaze and THAT TEASING SMIRK

don’t get me and him wrong, he’s flustered! just... man’s a little emotionally reserved so he doesn’t show it too much, but deep down his heart is RACING, excited for you reaching the end of the runway to show off your designer’s piece

finds it very, very cute when he notices you lowering your head in shyness for a split second before you stop to spin the cane in your pose, he thinks your shyness mixed with your confident walk makes it all adorable

when your pose was done, you turn back to see him already leaning forward, his elbows on his knees giving you that flirtatious smirk

as you walk back your gaze automatically averts to his shiny green orbs, DARE HE SEND YOU A WINK ON YOUR WAY BACK TOO

at this point it wasn’t him being flustered, it was YOU instead

not to mention he secretly took a picture of you donning the smalllll magician hat, he finds it adorable especially when you found out he’d put it as his wallpaper

° — GETO SUGURU

“oh?”

with the familiar tone of your skin, it took him a second to confirm that the upcoming model was you from the middle seating near the long runway

his eyes grows a little wide, watching you as you walk down the platform in their new piece for you, noting how carefully crafted this piece is, his eyes travel slowly up from the tip of your baseball cap to your feet, his eyebrows raise at how you were able to walk in those (“what in the world???”) complicatedly designed shoes (honestly he thinks he might trip just walking in them)

so when you were nearing to where he was seated, his heart skips a beat when the two of you made eye contact, and you grin, watching how his mouth hangs a little open

seeing how awestruck he was, you just had to tease him further y’know! so to tease him further you shoot him a wink as you continued to walk to the very front (save him he’s SO IN LOVE)

out of nowhere he finally puts the pieces of puzzle from the last few days together, from his “what are you doing?” to your occasional playful bat swinging at him

so when you did just THAT, that subtle bat swinging, he turns into an ABSOLUTE fan especially with how the beat synced along to your casual hip sway after that pose

his mouth closes and he turns to look at satoru who wiggles his eyebrows back at him before turning back to you with his mouth a little open again (he’s just thinking of needing HELP FOR HIS HEART)

looks more forward — don’t get me wrong, he was ALREADY looking forward to your walks — but your memorable first appearance just amplified the whole anticipation he has for you

Fahsion / Clothes for Yuffie

Yuffie prefers…practical clothes. While some people look at what she wears now, and the fact it is actually not that much it’s also not all that revealing either. It’s practical. It provides the movement she needs to be able to fight, while still being her favourite colour. 

Most of the time, she doesn’t actually mind too much what it is she is wearing, function over fashion has to come most of the time when you are legit fighting terrifying monsters and enemies that are going to render you dead if you misstep. 

Her taste in dress fashion is a strange one considering she is after all from a culture that is somewhat conservative, especially when it comes to gender roles and appearance. Her tomboyish ninja styling I assume has often likely clashed with her surroundings, and with the fact the girl is a literal god damn princess. 

Though, we do rarely see her wearing something more befitting her status, the fact that even her formal kimono is green really sticks the nail in the coffin that it’s her favourite colour, but also that she potentially has access to a lot of expensive fashion and jewellery and she simply never does it. In her kimono she’s wearing a literal ruby tiara with gold chains. A massive sapphire brooch with gold decorations on it. There’s gold thread in her kimono. 

Yuffie clearly has access to incredibly expensive high fashion by Wutaian standards and chooses instead to run around in plain clothes. Sometimes it’s nice to feel nice but most of the time, she doesn’t really give a shit. Compared to the world ending, it really feels so, inconsequential.

Gender.

In recent years the fashion industry has adressed its concerns about the issues of diversity within the industry especially with male and trans models not being as emphasised as women models and women’s wear, re inviting the argument of genderless garments or collections.

•Harry styles

Styles has been in the spotlight since 2010 for his increasing musical career, however styles has also been seen in the media and talked about due to his ‘interesting fahsion’ choices. Anyone who has known of styles for a while can tell you how his career has mainly been full of floral Gucci suits and patterned blouses.

In 2020 Harry styles was seen on the cover or vogue in which he was photographed wearing a dress which sparked debates across social media about masculinity in todays world and peoples opinions of gender fluid fashion. Styles was highly criticised for not being ‘manly’ by the media however the media is trying to promote gender diversity in fashion and criticises the industry for not being diverse. The Vogue images of Harry Styles, if anything, are a representation of exploration, comfort, gender fluidity and non-binary dressing, which shouldn’t be criticised but highlighted as a way of feeling comfortable in the clothes you are wearing and bringing much more diversity into the fashion world. Nothing more, nothing less. Questioning and suggesting things about someone by saying they are any less of a man is really ironic as people are claiming to be changing these stereotypes of what a man and a woman is supposed to be or wear. As a society we are supposed to be evolving and understanding how we don’t have to be labeled a certain way or defined by a gender. But beyond simply feeling good in his clothes and skin, Styles believes that fashion is an essential part of any performance, commenting on several musical icons who've strengthened their public personas through their personal style. "I used to wear all black all of the time,” he said. "But I was realising dressing up was a part of the show, if you will. Especially when performing. So, I think for the people I have always admired and looked up to in music, clothes have always been a big part of the thing. Like Bowie, Elvis Presley. It's always been part of the thing."

Leah Williamson, England captain and Arsenal footballer is often seen in her football kit, loving the pride and unity of it however,any opportunity for Williamson to dress up she leans into it embracing her individuality, love and respect for fashion. An ACL injury has meant Williamson not only sitting out of football and the World Cup, but also out of heels. Instead, loafers have become her go-to making a perfect pairing for tailoring. 'I’m enjoying wearing power suits,' William states it makes her feel powerful and embracing gender neutral fashion is really important to her. Due to football being seen as a ‘masculine’ sport Comfort for Williamson at any sort of fashion based events has come to mean 'glamming up masculine energy. That’s me,' she affirms. 'When you feel comfortable you carry yourself in a way that means you can be your true self.'

today, a huge amount of openly transgender supermodels walk the catwalks of international fashion weeks, snag deals as the faces of big beauty brands and grace the covers of the fashion industry’s most coveted magazines. However, only recently has Vogue debuted its first trans cover star, 22-year-old Brazilian-born Sampaio. Valentina however hasn’t had the easiest of experiences whilst being trans and in the fashion industry in an interview she explains this “Early on, I had a high-profile modeling job, and once they realized on set that I was trans, I was suddenly fired. To share the excitement and pride of a job with friends and family, only to then be shamed and rejected – it is heartbreaking. I am very grateful to God and all the people who have helped me along my journey so far. I honor the challenges of those who came before me, who directly or indirectly have made it possible for me to be where I am today.”
