State of the bike-bling. Installed some new leather bar tape, which is awesome, but I botched the wrapping on the inside of the curves so I will need to redo it at some point. No matter. Got a new bell and new bottle cages as well, everything is copper because I have a problem. The rear wheel which was bent in last months accident was replaced, but otherwise she’s doing just great and gets me through the 29 mile round trip commute most days!

I think sometimes ppl from the PNW will forget that not everyone’s tap water is safe for drinking so it’s funny and annoying to see them get flustered when somebody says to keep bottled water on hand in case of emergencies (also bc of their tendency to get extremely high and mighty about sustainability but their refusal to admit that keeping bottled water on hand isn’t a complete moral failure and is one of very few options for some people)

Remember the part where I said I wouldn’t get the regular versions of Brother/Sister and It’s All Crazy bc I have the collector’s editions of both?

It turns out I’m weak and also because the collector’s editions are 45 rpm, having regular versions actually can make sense.

As I get more 45s, I can see myself being like “well I already have my turntable set to 45 so I’ll listen to the collector’s editions” but then other times pulling out the 33s bc I already have things set to 33.
