I’m actually LOVING how Rick Riordan, and the other writers of the show, took his initial concept of a Percabeth rivalry fueled by that of their parents and kind of turned it on its head?

Now, instead of Annabeth being wary of Percy because he’s a son of Poseidon, he’s wary of her because she made a callous impression on him. They get off to a rocky start even before finding out who Percy’s father is, and when they finally do, Annabeth doesn’t care. Instead of them fighting because of who their parents are, they’re fighting over their own opposed worldviews.

Then, instead of them arguing over which of the gods is cooler and who was right in the story of Medusa, they realize that, just like Medusa, Annabeth is a victim of her mother and that, unlike Medusa, she is a far kinder and stronger person, unwilling to repeat the cycle of hurt. They realize that, like his father, Percy often acts without considering potential consequences and that, unlike his father, he is a far kinder and stronger person, willing to step up for someone he wronged and whom he cares about.

Instead of Percy and Annabeth’s rivalry being focused on that of their parents, it’s focused on who they are, themselves. But the path to friendship is still the same: a realization that they have each other’s backs, no matter what, because they’re not their parents after all.

Salmael is definitely the easiest to turn into a human since he already looks like one, but I still had a lot of fun doodling him, his design is so much fun (✿◕‿◕✿)

For sure the most relaxed of everyone in the team. Salmael doesn't usually raise his voice, so on the rare occasion that he does, everyone listens.

Before finding EMMA, he acted as the navigator for the team, only joining in combat when necessary. After his awakening, he could use split-consciousness to detect any nearby signs of life. After EMMA takes the role of navi, he is able to better focus on attacks, specializing in pierce-type physical moves. I'm still working on magic typings for the group, so I'm unsure what his is!

He's Yaldabaoth's and EMMA's younger brother (✿◕‿◕✿) Salmael definitely acts like the eldest though.

Yaldabaoth doesn't understand how he is perpetually relaxed, while EMMA makes fun of his outrageously fancy lounging wear.

Salmael gets along pretty well with everyone, though he prefers to keep to himself. He was initially not a fan of Nyx, given the stunt she tried to pull, but eventually learned to accept her as she is now.

Satanael and Izanagi are way too extreme for him. He thinks they're dense, but he doesn't dislike them.

His deity state is now equipped with even more guns! I'll draw that out sometime soon... Fighting in his humanoid form though, he uses... a gun. Or any long weapon such as spears.

His hair? He has to do it up every morning. He is very high maintenance.

He is trying so hard not to call everyone "little lost lambs" or constantly preach about serenity. Not that he's embarrassed about it, but the others make fun of him.

Playing My Time at Sandrock and meeting all the ROs: this guy Fang seems like a nice and quiet dude, maybe talking to him will get him to open up for my builder! :)

Fang's romance: Abuse from father and step-family resulted in severe PTSD and anxiety which made him have speech impairment, spent a long time homeless only eating vermins in order to survive and since then refuse to eat meat because he doesn't want to hurt living beings, became a doctor in order to help other people with their illnesses because his mother died with no medical help, refuse to let other people get close to him because he fears that they will hate him or reject him due to his past (thanks ot his father gaslighting and abusing him and calling him a liar when he called out his step-family for hurting him). When the Builder tries to get closer to him, he often panics and refuse to let them get closer, but eventually when the Builder helps him overcome his fear of speaking and improve his social skills, he later learns that it is not so bad talking with other people and that he has to get better at communicating as a doctor. Eventually when the Builder tells him that they have feelings for him, he rejects them because he fears that they will get hurt or hate him for what happened in the past, but eventually he learns that the only thing that makes him happy and feel better is the Builder and gives them a necklace with a Swan saying that Swan's mate for life, so he hopes that he and the Builder will be together forever no matter what happens.
