so. this au started with a simple question: what if computer existed in the ii universe? not as an outsider, but as part of it?

and we've been spiraling from there.

this is the shimmershell AU.

first things first: computer is another meeple product, to put it simply ..well, not quite a "product". for a good long while, very few people even know of his existence. he's made to be a prototype, to test out one thing specifically:

how the prime shimmer eggs can be combined with technology, and the effects it has. where did you think the name came from? :3

from very early on, the effects are clear. computer's eyes glow, he's more durable than expected, and can summon a spear similar to those the aliens use.

...of course, almost all of this allows him to practically be a living weapon, and a rather volatile one at that.

he doesn't want to hurt anyone, of course, but.. that can be changed.

...unless. unless he realizes the power he holds, realizes that, one day, he can escape.

Today everything is so laggy, ugh.

Wanted to make smth for furaffinity in one go, but overestimated my abilities.

And I couldn't find a mythological creature that would live in wells, so for this idea it's just an early stage of Gollum-ifiction.

ok last week i promised some looks at the quilt in better lighting once id got the colour 3 pieces in- well its taken me all week but ive done it! the sheer size of this makes good lighting photos hard, but its not too bad!

im still missing for the two big sections in the middle- i might have a colour for the paper section, but it could also be one of the colours ive already used... at this point its hard to tell

i also have a pretty good colour picked out for the very center panel, but as you can see, the piece i have isnt big enough to fill the space. ive got three options from here-

try and find a bigger piece (probably have to hope theres some on a roll),

replace the colour,

or piece it together from what i have. i think i have enough area to cut the three pieces in that colour, so i definitely could, but im hesitant to because that panel is almost a center focus of the quilt, and hiding the seams in this fabric is near impossible. i contemplated hiding it in some decorative quilting but that would require a hell of a lot of strategising (possible. but a pain)

finally! colour rotations- youve seen these all before, its just on the land and lighthouse, the sky + sea inst changing for now (i might mess around w it but im pretty happy for the most part- though im always open to suggestions!)

(I quickly scanned your about and didn't see anything about asks, so hopefully you're ok with them and if not I'm sorry!) I would LOVE to see a compilation of all the gut wrenching traffic lines you've written because your latest writing posts (particularly about cleo etho and grian, but the scott one too) have been DESTROYING me and there's something so cool about the style of your writing and I adore reading all the ones I've seen (which isn't that many I feel like) so I would love to see the lines you as the author like the most!

(I don't know if this is a weird ask to send, sorry if it is asdfsdj, tldr your writing is awesome and I don't think it'd be egotistical to make a post of the best of the best lines)

Evil thing part of me desperately wants to do: write a f/f fic for my OTP. Then change *just* the pronouns to make it m/m. Post both on AO3 with slightly different titles and slightly different summaries and see if anyone notices

AT the very least with 14 there are options to re-customise your character.....i recall when destiny 2 did a graphics overhaul and most characters came out looking completely different and dogshit....was really harsh since once you make them there was no way to adjust or change them so it just sucked all round
