it still drives me mad that pretty much all the 3 hopes Claude hate/ bad takes about him were kicked off by a blatantly racist fake leak. Like it was literally complete racist horseshit but people just took it and started spreading info from it around. So people just ran with that info despite nothing about it being true, leading to people making yet more absolutely terrible takes about Claude. Anywho, Claude’s great and it blows that so many fans treat him so poorly.

thinking again of that poll about woobified characters in which dimitri fireemblem was included and. tbh, i don't even think he was That woobified. like, sure, people tend to focus on his possible romance with byleth and reduce everything to "Woman(TM) that has to fix the Angsty Main Character", but the game KIND OF leans into that. that aside, the fandom has always taken more seriously anything that happened to dimitri (and his arc) than to edelgard for example.

anyway, the real woobified characters of fe3h are claude and ferdinand. claude is woobified to the point that some people truly believe that what claude does in few3h is ooc for him because he's not the "haha, funny guy that represents the neutral path" that everyone thought him to be (and that he never was). and ferdinand is one of those cases in which a character has soooo many traits that make him autistic coded by accident, so ofc he Had to be a "soft lovely uwu boy who could do no harm", when he's the one character in few3h that says that he will kill shez if they had betrayed them. shez, who is a person who. yk. he has known for years.

Ok i need your and anons opinion on this.

Am I the only one that founds it weird that Nic asked Clauds “how did you feel watching us snogging”? I mean why would she feel any type of way as you are both obvs actors and acting for the show? And then Claudia proceeds to explain whatever (she is too funny I love that girl energy) but it didn’t just make sense to me that they would entertain this question at all & even more so they didn’t actually answer the journalist question but prefer to talk about how Claudia feels about Polin snogging. And the interest in both Nic and Luke to know is very bizarre (queue both them tuning in in Claudia answer. It feels like they are talking about real life people (aka Luke & Nicola) and not Polin 😂 and want to know Claudia thoughts are about it. Hmmm. Either way maybe that’s just me and I am reading too much into this 😂

hmmm weekly thoughts on this week's episode. tbh, i was far more excited about FP this week so that's where most of my focus was. i don't dislike this episode, but I know people tend to check out on Jericho backstory, and yeah, sure enough, there's not a ton of hype. But that's okay, I was at least expecting it this week (unlike last week which still kinda breaks my heart haha).

So just to clarify a few things, that frankly, I have clarified before, but people don't remember these little details from over a year ago-

Mostly the other colors of blanks: There have been other colors of blanks throughout the series. You saw different colors in Rex's home town. You saw different colors in Jericho and Mikiah's flashbacks. You saw different colors in Charlie's prison escape. You saw different colors in the club scenes. Almost any scene w/ crowds of developing blanks, I try to throw in at least a couple of other colors other than purple.

Blanks are simply different colors based on what region they're from. Hence why they're all green in certain parts of the story, like Mikiah's flashbacks, because they're just green in that region. There's no deeper meaning, except for the red blanks. We just see purple most commonly because they're purple in Glory City and that's where 90% of the story takes place. But even then, if you re-read, you'll see different colored developing blanks throughout the story.

Anyway... if I ever reboot CoB again, absolutely getting rid of that detail since I can't seem to get it across haha. I thought regional variants would just be cool but all it seems to do is confuse people.

I think that's all for this week. Other than pointing out Kallie's the reason Jericho doesn't know sign language. She was supposed to teach him, so he didn't wanna learn it from anyone else (like Claude).

... When Euphrasie sneaks out past the king without killing him, so he's still alive, she passes by Claude's frozen body every time. And every time, she'll trace a hand along Claude's face and lean down for a kiss on the forehead.

It's a tradition. A ritual.

... and it's one she falls into after killing the king, once. While Claude is being unfrozen. Wires crossing. Claude wakes up to that, and it's cute! But Claude notices Euphrasie's hesitation, her cooling down from craft usage, her stress, and she asks if Euphrasie is okay.

And Euphrasie says no.

And she then restarts the loop. It's not like whatever comfort Claude could've provided would stay, and she can't rely on it here.

Hopesverse but it's only Dimitri who remembers Azure Moon, he knows he can defeat Edelgard with everybody's help and has recovered a lot but is now a wifeless and bylethless and suffers because of it: like who would ask him for tea? who would hold his hand? who would let him have the extra cheese out of their food? He is heartbroken when he finds Shez instead of Byleth!
