One of our favorite projects of the season is baking and decorating sugar cookies. We use the ever-reliable @marthastewart recipe we clipped out in the last century and when it comes to decorating we let our imaginations soar! Which one will Santa 🎅 pick? These Chocolate Peppermint Cake Mix Cookies are a delectable treat that combine rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint. They're simple to make and will impress at any holiday gathering or as a sweet snack on their own.
Ingredients: 1 box chocolate cake mix. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 2 large eggs. 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes. 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Put the eggs, vegetable oil, and chocolate cake mix in a large bowl. Mix everything together well. The chocolate chips and crushed peppermint canes should be carefully mixed into the dough. Roll the dough into small balls with your hands and place them on the baking sheet that has been ready. With the back of a spoon or your fingers, make each ball a little flatter. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. Enjoy these tasty chocolate peppermint cookies after they've cooled down!

These make-ahead vegan cinnamon rolls are a delightful treat perfect for Christmas morning or any special occasion. With warm spices and sweet maple syrup, they're sure to please vegans and non-vegans alike.

Instructions: Put flour, instant yeast, and salt in a bowl and mix them together. Put the melted vegan butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract into the flour mixture. Then add the warm nondairy milk. Mix until you get a dough. For about 5 minutes, knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and springy. Place the dough in a warm area and cover it. Let it rise for about an hour, or until it doubles in size. Spread the dough out on a floured surface and press it down. Spread the dough with melted vegan butter, and then top it with ground cinnamon and brown sugar. Chop up some nuts if you want to. Roll the dough into a log shape starting from the long edge. Put the 12 slices of the log in a baking dish that has been greased. Wrap the dish in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight. Before you go to bed, heat the oven to 350F 175C. Take the rolls out of the plastic wrap and bake them for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Let the rolls cool down a bit before you serve them. Have fun!
