Reflexión sobre todo el proceso de aprendizaje
¿Qué ideas nuevas te ha suscitado el bloque?
No sé por dónde empezar. Sobre todo me ha dado la idea de plantear tareas basadas en juegos muy amenas para que los alumnos no se acaben desconectando durante el curso. Algunos de los temas del módulo sobre el que se trata este trabajo son duros de seguir y los alumnos, a veces, se desesperan. Creo que la gamificación de alguna tarea les puede dar una visión diferente ya que es una forma muy atractiva de poder mostrar los contenidos. Creo que los usaré bastante en el futuro.
¿Habías usado antes técnicas de narración (storytelling)?
No, nunca antes lo había utilizado. De hecho, apenas había utilizado la gamificación en mis proyectos.
¿Se te ha ocurrido la historia que dará sentido a tu paisaje?¿Cómo lo vas a gamificar?
Sí. La historia que dará sentido a mi paisaje será simular un Scape Room en el que según se vayan superando retos, se conseguirá un objetivo final.
El objetivo del juego será trabajar sobre los cambios de formato (binario, octal, decimal y hexadecimal, así como la arquitectura Von Neumann para que adquieran las destrezas necesarias para conseguir el aprendizaje.
Para ello, este aprendizaje se va a transformar en un juego estilo Scape Room, en el que con la resolución de cada tarea, se irán consiguiendo llaves. El reto será conseguir todas las llaves necesarias para poder abrir la puerta (no se si sustituirlo por un cofre con algún premio).
Las actividades voluntarias darán como premio unas llaves maestras que podrán sustituir a alguna que no se haya conseguido.
Además, según se vayan completando bloques, se irán consiguiendo insignias que premien los logros parciales.
Cada tarea tendrán un tiempo definido para poderse realizar.
¿Conoces alguna otra herramienta, además de las aquí propuestas, en las que puedas diseñar un paisaje?
Quise inscribirme en este curso porque, precisamente, no conocía apenas nada de gamificación y paisajes, pero investigando un poco he visto que se pueden crear rúbricas para los paisajes con herramientas como Corubrics. También, aparte de Genially, tenemos otras herramientas como ThigLink, Holobuilder o Roundme.
¿Qué dificultades has encontrado en el uso de la herramienta?
En general, no he visto muchos problemas con Genially para la creación de paisajes, es bastante intuitiva, pero por incluir algún detalle destacar que para tener acceso a todas las funcionalidades hay que conseguir la versión de pago y que la herramienta tampoco da la posibilidad de descargar el contenido interactivo en formato SCORM (al menos no lo he encontrado). También destacar que no he encontrado para hacer líneas y flechas, las he tenido que crear como dibujo.
¿Qué ventajas le has visto?
Como se ha comentado en el punto anterior, aparte de la potencia que tiene la herramienta a la hora de crear paisajes, es bastante sencilla de utilizar por lo que cualquier docente, aunque tenga pocas habilidades informáticas, puede utilizarla. El panel de control es bastante claro y se puede hacer tantas copias de cada paisaje como se quiera, lo que permite utilizar una misma idea con objetivos diferentes. El editor es muy completo y se puede hacer casi todo lo que se te pueda ocurrir.

Getting Earth 2: basic beginners guide — April 2022
I got you beginners… It’s long overdue, I’ll focus more on what Earth 2 is instead of what it can or will be.

I’m going to use this picture to help me to get my point across anyway…
Part 1: properties.
What’s a property? It’s land that currently consists of 1 to 750 10x10 tiles.
What are the types of properties? Tier 1 and Tier 2 (T1>T2). Click here for more information.
Can I upgrade my property? Not yet, you’ll be able to upgrade it in the near future using Essence.
What are the perks? Land produces Essence, jewels and Land Income Tax (LIT) right now. Resources are coming in the near future.
What can my properties hold? Mentars, Holobuildings and EPLs. More EcoSim buildings in the future.
Part 2: perks.
What’s Essence? It’s Earth 2’s currency. It’s going to be a token on Q3. You can claim every day after you have enough tiles. You already can improve jewels and get EPLs with it.
What are jewels? Jewels serves as buffs to your Essence production by creating more Ether (X E-ther = X Essence). More buffs including resource production boosts to come. T3 jewels > T2 > T1. You can claim every day after you have enough tiles.
What are resources? Resources will be needed to create almost everything inside Earth 2. There are 8 confirmed: oil, coal, gold, limestone, freshwater, wood, sand and iron. They will be found in the real location corresponding to Earth 2’s map (i.e oil will “spawn” if you own real world oil fields).
What is LIT (Land Income Tax)? It’s money given for T1 property holders on a daily basis if users buy properties in countries you already have.
Part 3: mentars, holobuildings and EPLs.
Mentars are the EcoSim buildings that can detect E-ther and consequently produces Essence. You get a free mentar after logging in for a few days.
Holobuildings serves as storage for resources (soon) and they cost real money.
EPLs are unique domain names for your properties and future teleporter.

The Softbank-owned robotics company announced that it's making Spot's SDK available to anyone who wants it via GitHub, starting today. The release will allow developers and even non-traditional roboticists "develop custom applications that enable Spot to do useful tasks across a wide range of industries," said Boston Dynamics VP Michael Perry. Until today, only developers in the early adopter program could get the SDK, but now it's freely available to all as open-source code. However, developers will still need to become early adopters if they want to lease a robot to test their code, Boston Dynamics said. That way, they can "create custom methods of controlling the robot, integrate sensor information into data analysis tools and design custom payloads which expand the capabilities of the base robot platform," according to the company. By way of example, Boston Dynamics cited a company called HoloBuilders that have used the SDK to add Spot to their existing app. "With what they've developed, workers can use a phone to teach Spot to document a path around a construction site and then Spot will autonomously navigate that path and take 360 images that go right into their processing software," it said. Other uses include security monitoring, laser-scanning and police chores like examining suspicious packages. Along with the SDK release, Boston Dynamics announced a change in management. Founder a Mark Raibert will become Chairman, ceding his CEO role to former COO and long-time employee Rob Playter. That's part of a larger plan for Boston Dynamics to commercialize its robots like SpotMini, Atlas and now Handle -- and the release of the SDK is a big step towards that goal.
