I’m reading Dissolving Illusions Disease, Vaccines + the Forgotten by Dr. Suzanne Humphries and Roman Bystrianyk, as a refresher. . . I also picked up Overcoming Dyslexia by Sally Shaywitz I’ve had on my list for awhile. . . I just gave our #homeschoolroom its biannual clean up this past weekend and recorded a #homeschoolroomtour video too so that you can see how we have it set up for this year in 2019. . . I’m a big believer in creating #intentionalspaces and feng shui too... and if you follow me on bliss lived, altars 🌙and having a meditation space📿. Therefore it’s only natural I chose to pick a specific space to House all of our supplies and books when I#we first started homeschooling up until now. . . You don’t need a specific room to homeschool, but a space to store things - whether that’s a drawer, book shelf, closet or corner I think is so important to keep at least this mama same. . . what we’ve been reading lately 🦋. we’re doing the #mensakids #summerreadinglist☀️ for grades 1-3 this year. . . We’re slowly making our way down the list and here’s our first batch. What I’ve been reading lately 📖. . . Did you ever just read through a book finding it difficult to stop? That was the #welltrainedmind for me! It arrived on a Friday and my Sunday I was half way through the book... (it’s s pretty big tome of a book with info on the 3 stages of the #trivium). It’s been on my list of #homeschoolbooks to read for a long time but I haven’t gotten around to it, I heard it was huge so I think that partly played a role but was curious to get some in depth info and thoughts about #classicalhomeschooling . We’ve always dabbled and used #classicalhomeschool curriculum since starting #homeschooling ... but especially this year it seems we are using more than the usual amount. . . For K, 1st and 2nd we’ve used #mfw as our spine which was somewhat classical and #charlottemason based... this year Sassafras Science 🔬 and Story of the World are both in that same vein - with #sotw more on the classical side. I loved the other classical recs provided here. . . I also started reading #whenthebraincanthear last week... it’s a #CAPD #centralauditoryprocessingdisorder book I’ve had on my list to read for awhile, there’s some good information not in #thesoundofhope .
