Pairings/Characters: March 7th, Trailblazer/Mc, Dan Heng, Himeko, Welt Yang.

March

Though March understands your feelings in concept, she's never really felt homesick. The Astral express has been her home almost her entire life ever since she was freed from the ice, it's really the only place she can call her home as she has no memories of her past home or life at all.

However, March is also a massive sweetheart and cares for her friends more then ever. She knows the feeling of longing for a home even if she's still trying to find hers and will try her best to cheer you up!

She'll consult Dan and the others on the express about ways to cheer you up and will eventually drag you to her room. She'll then start to throw a million of her plushies onto you and give you a blanket for extra measure.

March awkwardly explains that whole she doesn't know much about homesickness and how to deal with the feelings that come with it. But as your friend she'll try her very best to cheer you up!

If rambling about your home and talking about it helps you, she'll listen on and on and even ask questions about it. If you don't wanna talk about it, she'll respect her wishes and do everything in her power to take your mind off of it.

There might be a small detour in the astral expresses travels as she asks Himeko if they can go to visit some of the planets you all have previously trailblased at. Even going as far to ask if they can make a stop at your home planet. No matter what the outcome is though, march will be by your side doing her best to cheer you up!

Trailblazer/Mc

Though they can seem sarcastic and rather distant at times, the Trailblazer(s) really do care for others and the people around them. So as soon as they find out you feel homesick they'll do their best to help you out

Similarly to March, the astral express is the only home they've ever known. Unlike March though, they're a artificial creation and have no past home life or planet. Even then, they know the strength of emotions and try their best to cheer you up.

Mc will wait until you feel comfortable about opening up about your home planet before anything else, they'll do simple acts of helping you and attempt to take your mind off of it but will never pry or push unless there's really no other choice or you seem to be comfortable about talking about it.

The Trailblazer will try their best to cheer you up and ask you if you want to read with them. The books massive amount of books and newspapers they've collected over the course of their journey stacking up in their room. If you'd prefer not then they'll just read too you. Allowing you to rest your head on their lap.

Their soft voice echos slightly through the small room as they read to you. Flipping the pages and making sure to look down at you ever few seconds to make sure you aren't getting bored, if you end up falling asleep they'll slightly chuckle and start reading too themselves.

Unless you actively voice out you would wish to return to your home planet the Trailblazer wouldn't be like March and ask beg Himeko to go back to your original planet. However if that's what you really want they could probably convince Himeko to do a small detour if the astral express didn't need to get to a location desperately. Either way, you now have a person who'll read to you sleep whenever you're homesick.

Dan Heng

Dan himself struggles with the duality of both being homesick and desperately trying to run away from his past. Out of all of them he's the best to go to if you're looking for a understanding figure that you can just rant and vent too.

With that being said, while he's good at silently listening he's not really good at comforting. Not to say he won't try of course! He's just not the happy go lucky type that always see's everything in a positive light.

He'll try to find a solution for your homesickness by looking in the archives if there's anything about your planet and it's customs. He'll then try to mimic some of them to the best of his possibilities such as making foods from your planet or asking Himeko to craft things similar to items on your planet.

Dan will hand you the items and food he made with a slightly apologetic frown on his face. Apologizing if it isn't up to par with what you experienced back home as the archives don't have the most accurate information about your planet. He'll be glad if you still enjoy the efforts he put in though and used the items and ate the food.

If you're more of looking for comfort the most he'll do is pat your head and tell you that you'll be able to revisit your homeland one day. He'll also ask you more about your home planet and what were the things you enjoyed doing there the most in hopes of replicating it to cheer you up.

Unlike March and the Trailblazer he won't suggest visiting your home planet to Himeko. The path of the trailblazers and the astral express is that of a neverending adventure and to him, it means that no matter the struggles you will stay true to the path you've set up on and not look back. However, he'll always be by your side to talk to if you ever feel homesick and will never invalidate your feelings.

Himeko

Himeko in a way is the purest version of a trailblazer, she was the one who rebuilt the astral express and remade the path of the nameless. She left behind her home world and became a pioneer in exploration through the path of trailblazing but every now and then does think back to her homeworld and the people she met there.

She understands that constantly traveling around and going farther away from home with each travel can get tiring and every now and then you feel the need to return home. Because of that Himeko is the best to come to if you're looking for both comfort and solutions.

She'll sit down with you over a cup of tea or coffee and talk about your homeworld with you. Helping you get past the pain with nostalgia and remembering the happy moments you had when still in that phase of your life. Reminding you that the path of a trailblazer is ever changing and always going forward to the next thing, but to never lose yourself in the constant moving and to remember you're never alone.

If your homesickness gets bad to the point where a return home for a small bit of time is mandatory Himeko will definitely get pom-pom to change the course and go back to your home planet. Letting you have a few good days to relax and tour the rest of the group around the place

Himeko will tag in on the exploring too. Since everyone isn't here on official business and there's no serious situations going on she'll take this time to relax and will ask you to tour her around the place and teach her all about the customs.

In a way, Himeko is a motherly figure to everyone on the express other then welt. After you return to the express Himeko will ask if you're ready and ask if you want to stay on your home planet for awhile, but warn you it may be awhile until they come pick you up again. No matter your choice, Himeko will be supportive.

Welt Yang

Welt himself is practically from another universe, hailing from the earth of another universe. most likely I don't know his full lore- the entire purpose of his journeys on the astral express were to find a way back home with the help of Himeko. Due to this he completely understands the feeling of longing for the place you came from.

Welt is practically a full solutions man, he'll research extensively about your planet, see if there's any communication with it up till this day, and learn all he can about it to help you get home even if it's just for a short amount of time.

He'll usually text you the information he gets and attempt to confirm it with you based on the knowledge you know due to hailing from the planet. Welt will attempt to sort out of inconsistencies and come up with viable explanations and solutions, taking it all extremely seriously.

When you do end up visiting your home planet once again Welt won't personally join in on exploring it but if asked will join in. Making sure to note everything down in the archives with the help of Dan.

Welt is quite the bookworm so if there's one location you should bring him it's any bookstore on your planet. In reality, he's incredibly curious of it and enjoys traveling and exploring new places and things. Making being on the astral express fun for it despite the longing to find his home.

Now whenever you feel homesick Welt will either have the astral express go back to your home planet, or copy the foods, items, and other things from your planet and make them on the astral express for you to mess around with so it can feel like you're home.

dan heng is emotionally dumb, this man did not receive the hardware update for emotions. he operates on angy, annoyed soggy cat, and underpaid babysitter for two little hobgoblins. there are simultaneously no thoughts behind his pretty eyes and thoughts of taking a good long power nap after he's done being the older brother of two idiots. he's somehow the resident smart ass, but put him in a romantic situation and suddenly he's dumber than university students procrastinating their final paper to the last day. if he were a cat, he'd be the cat that always has a resting bitch face no matter what you do.

march 7th is the kind of dumb you see in vine (rip) compilations, she'd quote that shit on the regular just to exclusively annoy dan heng. she probably once suggested that whole sit in a chair and hold hands for an hour shit and got put in it the same day. she says dumb shit confidently with shit-eating grins, and if you tell her she's wrong, she'd say "ur mom." she gets bullied by kids, bc of course she does. she would probably learn dumb trivia out of spite so she can look like the sane one in the group. she and the mc have joint custody of the single brain cell that dan heng didn't absorb.
