Marek does Morshid's henna for eid post-s3 and she tries really hard to make the design something Morshid would like but her hands are shaky and he's really nervous that it doesn't look traditional or proper . Once she's done Morshid tells her it's okay for her first try . Backtracks and thanks him . Says his first try was a mess because he put too much pressure and henna exploded all over his hand . Does his other hand w similar designs and adds sunflowers . AOUGH

ok so i noticed this before, but i saw it on your latest art and started thinking on it again lol- does your bells paint their nails? because i’m imagining them spending So Long getting that red/gold gradient perfect, and then chipping it while training with their staff the next day and just. dying inside skdhhjkkjj

ah!! you noticed, hehe. i'm trying to think of how to describe it... you might have seen me explain before that my take on bellroc is "gender: no, presentation: yes" so i love the thought that when they're not contriving the downfall of modernity they actually enjoy many kinds of personal beautification, including makeup (when they're not going to sweat it off in the forge) or nail painting. but the effect i really try to depict on their nails is actually henna!

the only difference between the real-life stuff and what i try to draw bellroc with is i usually add a little hint of gold or green to their nails, because 1.) i personally love multichromatic nail polish, and 2.) i will never not take the chance to associate a blorbo with alchemy, lol.

truly what nobler application of the great art than to make... (checks notes) unchippable nail polish

The interview panel were all white women, and as soon as they asked to see my work they started gushing about it and telling me how they've tried it on themselves before and I was internally like. Okay you're those types of white women. And then they called me to tell me that I wasn't successful for what I applied for, but they want me to do henna for upcoming events I knew straight away these were the types of white women who will find some way some how to get a henna tattoo for themselves lmfaooo.
