Love being an arcane warrior in dao i love swinging a giant maul around and being in armour but also casting walking nightmare and horror on my enemies i think swords are cooler but the affect of a maul is funnier than big sword in my opinion. I have like 3 affects (at the minimum) going on at all times and then i do an aoe chug some lyrium just in case and bludgen some guy to death. What.

it’s interesting how in the alternate sara minisode ending, her thought process isn’t really “if I loved joe more, I could’ve saved him”, the massacre ending she imagined with him is more focused on her guilt for killing everyone else rather than her guilt for not saving him. it’s “if I loved joe more, we would both end up with blood on our hands, that’s why I shouldn’t get too close to people.”
there’s no english translation of joe’s light novel sadly, but I remember reading a summary of it a while back, and joe actually has similar feelings about how escaping with sara would’ve been a bad choice. as he dies, he has a dream about what would happen: ryoko and all his friends would call him a murderer, he would become a cop so he could save people and make up for the people he killed, but the guilt would stay with him for the rest of his life. he hears sara crying, and his last thoughts are that he would do anything to make her stop.
both of them ultimately decide that the guilt of killing everyone else would not have been worth escaping together. they don’t want to be murderers, and they especially don’t want to make each other murderers.
#not that romantic love is necessarily ‘more’ than platonic love#but sara’s thought process is that if she had dated joe she would’ve been closer with him#and when she gets too close to people she drags them down#however we’re supposed to think that sara is wrong for believing she shouldn’t get close to people#so even though choosing flirty options leads to the scary cutscene I don’t think it’s like. anti-joesara lol#(even if sara hadn’t revealed joe as the sacrifice kai would’ve gotten the most votes so saving joe was never really possible)#sara having a crush on joe isn’t really implied in the game though (she sets him up with ryoko after all) and I like that#but she does crush on him in the manga which is written by nankidai so idk what’s going on there#regardless. they are best friends and they love each other#yttd#talk tag#jo’s meta

you know how sometimes theres some popular character and most of the fanstuff is mostly accurate on the surface but you personally have some lived experience shared w this character that enables you to have a deeper understanding of little nuances under the hood that inform things like their decision making and stuff. its on a sliding scale of accuracy of course. personally i mostly get this with my mental disorders with characters such as ogata but sometimes theres LITTLE TINY THINGS that bother me about specifically the various violence related fetishes. and the fact that it bothers me itself bothers me cuz i feel like. "oh Clearly you havent received or inflicted wounds for sexual pleasure". yes obviously they havent done that. nobody else does that. i am abnormal in nature and insane in the head

am finally back home and can say without a doubt that i am just fundamentally not built for long distance travel however the train was much nicer than planes
#that being said. pressurized cabins drive me insane a little bit#and also it gives you pretty intense sea legs for a While#like. the ones from the first trip hadnt gone away by the return one. so. might be stuck with that for a few days#we shall see#also ajr live fucks severely#the albums were already incredible but that was a goddamn religious experience#like. idk the way i think abt it is theyre more djs than a regular band esp w their performance showing the making of way less sad#like their music is very electronic‚ theyre making mixes of their own sound effects more than singing in one go#so like. the vocals were a teeensy bit rough at times#notably times it has taken me Literally Hundreds Of Hours Practice to be able to consistently sing along with#and times ive found its literally physically impossible to like. no matter what#idc how big your lungs are‚ there is no human on earth who can do that final run of karma in one breath#much less to An Entire Stadium After An Hour Of Jumping And Dancing And Singing Loud As Fuck#so like i dont blame them for that‚ you dont go to live shows expecting it to be 100% perfect anyways jwbdjsbfksb#the trumpet however. well she was certainly playing sometimes. and was very enthusiastic about her flares.#however. in most of their songs they use midi trumpets to my ear at least#meaning she was likely an addition specifically for live performances and in my personal band kid opinion#prooobably was not in any of the like. higher tier bands? idk just. a lot of the mistakes she was making were hitting as stuff that got#taught out of us the instant we joined any band beyond regular concert#so i would guess she was probably just like. a friend who happened to play trumpet in high school or maybe even just middle school#and they knew that the trumpet parts in their pieces were big and distinct enough that like they /had/ to get a live player#and just kinda. didnt anticipate the audition -> performance gap#like. her tone was really fried the whole time like she was playing as hard as possible#which. she was mic'd. have the sound guy turn her up.#the way they did it made it sound like she was using a mute but not. like she only got the bad parts of a mute from it yknow#her tempo and timing were. bad. theres no nice way to put that one it just Was Bad‚ like the trumpet runs in ajr songs arent. complicated#like. quite literally if you handed me the sheet music right now i would have it down perfect in a week at absolute most#and better than that player on sightread. like. we did so many sightreading drills.#like ill share my band kid creds if anyone cares but i need to emphasize this isnt me being braggy like. they genuinely just arent hard#fuck im out of tags. w/e i think only like one of yall also listens to them anyways so i can leave it there

star trek tng s5e5 disaster would be such a beautiful name for a babygirl btw
#HUGE fan of putting those guys in situations and this ep has truly delivered on that front#everyones so beautifully out of their depth. picard cant do anything cause hes stuck in a turbolift with 3 random kids#worf delivers keiko's baby (featuring the lifechanging line 'u may now give birth'). data is decapitated.#beverly and geordi start a plasma fire in the cargo bay and almost get vacuumed out of the ship while putting it out.#the only people with access to the bridge are deanna chief obrien ensign ro (who had just joined the enterprise crew like 2 eps before)#and another ensign who gets like 1.5 lines in total for some reason. deanna is technically in charge#but somehow has no idea how the ship works despite being a senior officer. idk that felt so weird tbh she must have had required training#plus shes surrounded by this stuff all the time and shes really quite smart like i cant believe she wouldnt have at least some idea#of whats going on. like ro literally knows way more than her so at least it doesnt stand out so much as an 'haha woman dumb' thing#however i do admit that the part where they had to spell out to her that the ship is gonna explode if they dont do anything did deliver#in terms of comedic effect#these tags r way too long and im sure no ones reading em anymore anyways but yeah. tng s5e5 what an episode ! loved it so much <33#thots

i don't know man... there are moments tlou show does well (like joel and ellie, and minor changes to the story) but.. the things it does badly are so glaring to me that it simply becomes such a bleak show and ruins the suspension of disbelief for me... i don't know if i could even call this a good adaptation. it's so mediocre
