The biggest misconception in the bsd fandom ever to me is people constantly portraying Atsushi as someone who trauma dumps excessively when he canonically barely talks about it at all.

The entire point is that Atsushi does not talk about his trauma he’s just constantly thinking about/reliving it. He can’t escape the memories of his past so he tries not to acknowledge them.

He only mentions it when asked, either directly or when someone asks him to explain himself.

Atsushi doesn’t even give a cohesive explanation for what he saw while under Dogra Magra, he just apologizes to Haruno and Naomi.

If Lucy hadn’t had her whole “you’ve never suffered the way I have” spiel then I doubt even the audience would’ve gotten to find out about his scars

If Akutagawa never asked him how it felt for the orphanage headmaster to die Atsushi would have never told him that he’s been hallucinating.

In the omake where Kyoka asks him why his hair is like that it’s clear he wouldn’t have told her that unless she had asked.

In 55 minutes Atsushi very briefly mentions sleeping on a dirty floor somewhere to Kunikida because he was trying to explain and justify his behavior.

And the thing is that there are scenes that implies that the other characters see Atsushi behaving strangely and are visibly confused because they do not understand what’s wrong with him.

Remember, we as an audience get to see things about characters that the main cast doesn’t. Just because we see into Atsushi’s mind doesn’t mean the other characters know what’s going on in there.

Also little footnote here that I think the scenes with Lucy and Akutagawa in specific are probably references to the moon over the mountain but I digress

Well, it wasnt a particulary pleasant situation, and Clover deeeefinitely does NOT have a new phobia of enclosed spaces, of course not!

Batfam AU angst prompt

Tim Drake was just a normal kid.

He never followed Batman and Robin around the city.

In fact, he was even a bit scared of them, as they were dangerous masked vigilantes.

He was never a fanboy of Dick Greyson.

In fact, he was young enough to have blocked out the trauma of seeing the Greyson's fall to their deaths.

He wasn't even particularly athletic, mainly focusing on getting good grades at school.

Until Jason died.

And his spirit decided to stick around.

Jason wasn't ready to die.

He wasn't ready to leave Bruce.

He wasn't ready to stop being Robin or helping the city.

So he possessed the kid next door, made up some story to justify how he knew who Bruce really was, and replaced himself.

Over the course of several nights, you keep hinting and flirting with Halsin saying to you he can’t flirt too much bc he needs to focus, he can’t do a relationship bc he needs to focus, and you don’t listen, and he grabs your chin with one hand, leaning in toward your ear. His free hand grabs yours and lets you feel the rock hard ridge in his leather pants that’s substantially longer than your palm.

And he just whispers in your ear “I said. Not yet.” And he just growls the last bit, his voice husky “There will be time to split you open later.”

Somehow never caught this before, but does this imply Birdperson’s mom killed his dad and he remembers seeing it?

The fact this memory is somehow tied to Blood Ridge in his mind makes me wonder if that’s part of why he didn’t accept Rick’s advances— maybe even subconsciously. If that’s what this implies, no wonder he had commitment issues. Makes the shit with Tammy hit differently, too…

I know it’s a throw away moment, but I really hope we get a follow up on that… Regardless of what that memory is, it’s dark shit.
