Ok so I know we all make fun of Lupin for being “Werewolf McWerewolf,” but like can we take a look at Sirius “Big Dog”?

He’s obviously named after the star Sirius, part of the constellation Canis Major, which literally translates into “Greater Dog.” Plus, his last name is the color of the dog he turns into.

So not only do we have “Werewolf McWerewolf,” we also have “Big, Black Dog.” The wizarding world still fucking amazes me.
