The Hour of Truth
The spell made people tell the truth.
It was expensive, but not so expensive it didn't find its use. The intelligence services spent enormous amounts of money on it, it was part of every serious interview, and the legal system relied on it.
This isn't a story about one of those. It's a story about Michael and Sarah, in their dining room with a ReadySpell, engaged to be married but without a date set. It was a gift they were giving to themselves, something that would reassure them, a chance to explore each other. Michael was cheery about the whole thing, but Sarah was decidedly less so.
She unrolled the parchment onto the table they'd assembled from a kit three months prior. She read the instructions on the card, which were dead simple, then placed her fingers on two corners of the parchment, with Michael doing the same. The complex lines in the center glowed, a circle burst into flames for half a second, and then it went still and dull.
"That's it then?" Michael asked. He withdrew his fingers. "That's the whole thing? I somehow thought it would be ... more."
"We're supposed to test it," she said, withdrawing her own fingers and picking up the card. "Say something false. There are test phrases."
"Two plus two is ... hrm. Four." He frowned. "I could feel a resistance. What an odd feeling."
"My head ... no, can't do it," Sarah said, reading the first part from the card. "It says, 'my head exploded today'. I can't finish the sentence."
"Well then," Michael said. He spread his hands, palms up. "Here we are."
"One hour," Sarah said with a nod. She placed the instruction card down and flipped the small hourglass that had come with the kit.
"Do you love me?" Michael asked.
"I do," Sarah replied. She said it solemnly. "Do you love me?"
"Of course," Michael replied. "Well, it would have been extremely embarrassing if we hadn't answered those correctly." He tapped his fingers on the table for a moment. "How many children do you want?"
"Two, or maybe three," said Sarah.
"I want two, but could go for a third," said Michael.
They had talked about it before. You didn't get engaged after four years of dating without having had those conversations at some point.
"It's interesting, isn't it?" asked Michael. "We know each other, but I suppose there's always at least a little doubt until you're under the spell. A difference between knowing and knowing."
"We only have an hour," said Sarah. "Rapid fire?"
"Sure," said Michael with a nod.
"Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me?" asked Sarah.
"Yes," said Michael. "You?"
"Yes. Will you stay faithful to me?"
"Yes. You?"
"Yes. Do you have unresolved feelings for anyone?"
"No. You?"
"No." Sarah paused. "How often do you need to have sex?"
"Need?" asked Michael. "I'm not sure I even agree with that question. But I can answer want, which is what I've told you before, maybe two or three times a week."
"How often does it end up being that we have sex?" asked Sarah.
"Less than that," said Michael. He frowned at her. "Can you do that, ask questions you know the answer to? I suppose so."
"It's two point one times a week," said Sarah.
"How can you be that precise?" asked Michael.
"I've been tracking it," said Sarah. She folded her hands in front of her. "You know I like data. And I'll need to track it when we're trying for children."
"Is that the only reason you've been tracking it?" asked Michael. He had leaned back in his chair slightly.
"I was worried that it might come up," said Sarah with a slight sigh. "I was worried that we might get in an argument and you would say that we weren't having sex enough, and I wanted pre-emptive ammunition."
The spell did not actually compel her to say all that, but he could have poked and prodded and gotten around vague answers, so it was best to just tell him. She wasn't proud of it.
"How many times a week would be the right number for you?" asked Michael.
"Once a week," Sarah replied, which was what she'd told him before. "In an ideal world, I suppose."
"And you're saying that it's two?" asked Michael.
"Two point one," said Sarah.
"Is this ... a problem?" asked Michael. "I mean, it should be a compromise between us."
"It is a compromise," said Sarah. "And it's one that I'm fine with." She was coming off as defensive, she knew, but it was the truth, the spell still had plenty of time left.
It seemed to take him a moment to recognize that.
"You don't resent me?" asked Michael.
"No," said Sarah. She let a beat pass, to give him a chance to ask another question, then reached down to her purse and pulled out her notebook.
"Is that a notebook?" asked Michael.
"I had a few things prepared," said Sarah.
"Ah," said Michael. "Well, I'm an open book." He smiled at her.
Sarah looked down at the notebook. "Where were you last Thursday?"
"I ... need to think about that," said Michael. "I was working late, preparing for the pitch. I sent you a message, didn't I?"
"You did," said Sarah. "What happened after the pitch?"
"I came home," said Michael.
"Did you do anything else between finishing work and coming home?" she asked.
"No," he said.
She looked down at her notebook again. "Last June you went on a work trip, what did you do together?"
Michael looked at her for a moment. "We went out to dinner," he said, and anticipating the follow-up questions, he continued, "Afterward, on the second night we were there, the guys wanted to go to a strip club, and they did, but instead of doing that, I went back to my hotel room and sat there alone, because I knew you wouldn't understand that it's just ... a thing men do. But I didn't go to the strip club, I didn't see naked women, I just sat there watching a movie."
"Are you annoyed with me?" Sarah asked.
"Yes," Michael replied. "You don't trust me, and it's important, if we're getting married, for you to trust me."
"You cheated on me," Sarah said.
Michael pursed his lips. "Does it do us any good to have this conversation again with the spell active?"
"Probably, yes," Sarah said. "It would let me know you were honest."
Michael nodded. "It was one time. I had been drinking. There was something electric in the air, I don't know, this raw attraction that I had never felt, and I thought about you, and the thought seemed to just slide right off my brain. And then afterward, I felt so much guilt, like I had destroyed my entire life, and we'd only been dating for six months, so it felt like it was a sign, like I had revealed, too late, what you meant to me."
"When you went to bed with her, you thought that it was casual," Sarah said. "You thought that you would get away with it."
"Now hold on," Michael said, leaning forward slightly. "I was the one who told you. No one outed me, no one found anything out, it was my own conscience."
"A month late," said Sarah.
Michael nodded. "A month late. I wish that it had never happened. If it did have to happen, then I wish that I had told you right away. I was an asshole. But I've been faithful to you since then, I haven't done anything else, I ... I love you."
"Do you still think about her?" asked Sarah.
"Every now and then," said Michael. "Every month or two, she comes to mind. Mostly in a negative way."
"Mostly?" asked Sarah.
"Please," said Michael. "I don't want to hurt you. I don't think it's good that you keep dwelling on this, that you won't let this go." He looked down at the scroll, which had curled up slightly. "Is this why you wanted to do this?"
"Yes," said Sarah. "You said 'mostly', what does that mean? Mostly a negative way, which means that sometimes it's a positive way. Explain how."
Michael grit his teeth. "I am telling you, from the bottom of my heart, with a truth spell active, that it's not going to be good for either of us if we go down this path."
"I'm not marrying you unless you answer," Sarah said.
"That's the truth?" asked Michael. "I mean, you could have told me that before, you could have said that without the spell."
"You would have thought I was being manipulative," she replied.
"I think you're being manipulative now," Michael said. "You love me? You forgive me? You want to marry me?"
"Yes, yes, yes," said Sarah. "We're pulling out a rotten tooth, as I see it. I would have pulled it out on my own, if I could have, but I need you, and I need truth."
Michael took a breath. "I love you so much. You mean the world to me. I am so thankful to be marrying you, if that still happens." He took another breath. "The only thing I think, the only positive thought I have about her, is that she was more enthusiastic in bed. But I love you, Sarah, you are the only one I want to be with, it's not something that weighs on me, it's a consideration but it pales in comparison to everything else, you're smart, you're funny, you make me want to be a better man, these past four years I've become a better man."
"There have been times when you think to yourself that she was better in bed than I am?" asked Sarah. She had gone very still. She was swallowing the idea, in the same way that someone might swallow a caltrop.
"No," said Michael. "She wasn't 'better', she just ... wanted it in a way that you didn't. Don't. She was hungry for me in a way that you never are."
Sarah began to cry.
"I'm so sorry," said Michael. "But it doesn't mean anything to me, I told you that, it's an idle thought, it's got nothing to do with marriage, with partnership."
"I think I might be gay," said Sarah.
Michael stared at her. "What?" he asked. "What ... what does that mean?" He looked at the timer, which was still running down. "You said that once a week was what you'd prefer, did you mean with women?"
"No, I ..." she was sniffling, and went to her purse for a tissue, which she used to blot away her tears and wipe liquified snot from where it had gathered on her upper lip. "I enjoy having sex with you, I like the feeling of it. I do. That's true." She said it as though it was almost a revelation to hear it said under the truth spell, as though she wasn't certain that it would pass muster.
"Then what do you mean?" asked Michael. "Do you mean you might be ... bisexual?"
"I felt that heat for a woman," Sarah said. "For several women." She let out a breath. "I never did anything with them, I never even knew if it's what they would have wanted, but ... I don't know. It's confusing."
"But you still want to marry me," said Michael. "Even with that."
"I do," said Sarah. "I love you."
"I love you too," said Michael. He watched her face, as though he could read something there. He looked down at the timer. "Do you think this marriage is a good idea?"
"Yes," she replied. "Yes enough that I didn't have to add qualifications, I guess." She gave a nervous laugh. "Do you?"
"Yes," said Michael.
But as soon as he said it, he wasn't sure that it was true. Did the spell work like that? Could you say something that was untrue after you said it? There was a rising panic inside him, a feeling of being trapped with her that he'd never felt before, not before the affair or after.
"Let's set this aside," she said. "Let's be done with it. Okay?"
Michael nodded. He had wanted to say 'okay', but it wasn't.

clark, lois and bruce on a picnic date! the kids are running around chasing each other, it's on the kent farm, it's spring and warm and the scent of flowers and grass is sweet. martha made the food, and all of them feel loved and happy!!!
Not sure if you wanted this to be superbatlane but i'm not very big on that so I went with Clois + Bruce instead. Hope it's okay.
---
The grass felt nice under Lois' hands, still alive and green before the Kansas summer droughts would turn it dry and crisp. She let herself savour the feeling of it tickling her palms while watching Jon, Kon, Chris, Kara and all of Bruce's children play some newly made-up ball game.
Bruce was sitting on the other side of the picnic blanket, a little stiffly but with his palms in the grass much like her own. She'd had trouble relaxing here too, the first few times Clark brought her. It was only one summer evening late at night, after dinner when Johnathan brought out his violin and she'd watched Clark dance and sing with his mother and the neighbors, and after he'd pulled her to her feet to twirl her around under the stars, that she had finally stopped wondering about everyone and let herself get lost in Clark's eyes until he was all that mattered.
But that was long ago, and now all it took was a well-placed blanket under a lonely tree, Martha's delicious sandwhiches and salads, and the voices of the children and adolescents carrying across the field. Though still, as usual, there were a thousand questions running through her head watching Bruce, the rigidity of his back and the set of his jaw. With great effort, she kept them all inside.
"What are you thinking about?" She finally settled on, attempting conversation.
He answered quickly. "How lucky I am to still be here," he said, and what does one even say back to that? Batman definitely had a way of stopping a conversation right after it had started. She'd never had trouble interviewing Bruce Wayne, but he was not being Bruce Wayne right now. She could jab at him some more, and prod until she found the reason for his answer, but that required some hook or direction. Anything that Bruce didn't give her. His eyes were covered by shades and she didn't have Clark's hearing.
She did hear Clark's footsteps though, and she sat up from where she was lying half on the grass and on the blanket when she saw him walking towards them, a still-steaming pie in his hands.
"Blueberry pie, fresh from the oven!" He announced triumphantly and set it down on the grass. "Be careful though, the pan is still hot."
Lois chuckled. Her husband was the worst of a combination of a sweet tooth and a very keen sense of smell. "So now we'll just have to stare at it until we can eat it."
"Yes. But this way we can eat it the exact moment it's reached perfect temperature," he said, turning to her secretively. "And you'll get the best taste," he punctuated with a kiss on her lips. There had been a time when Clark had felt much too awkward doing so in front of Bruce, but that was years ago.
"And you. Relax," he told Bruce, squeezing his shoulder. "Nothing will happen to them out here."
Bruce was still intently watching the field and the children from behind his shades. It would always be jarring how differently Clark spoke to Bruce than to Lois herself, years of dealing with the bat folded into that one command.
Bruce huffed, but finally lifted his hands from where they had been digging in the grass. "That's what you say, but they can always happen to each other."
"And even then, we're right here. As is your personal trouble detector." Clark put a hand on his own chest and sat down next to Lois, pouring them all some more lemonade.
"hrm," Bruce replied, which was apparently enough for Clark to go on and suggest another strategy.
"Or you can always join them if you can't calm down." Clark pointed at the field. "I heard them say one team has to get the ball across, and pretty much anything goes for the other team to try and intercept them. Sounds like a good training exercise."
"Hmm. Fine." Bruce got up. "But don't eat that pie without me."
"No promises," Lois said. A small smile appeared on Bruce's face, and he jogged onto the field.
When Bruce was out of earshot, Lois scooted back a bit. "And now it's your turn to relax, mister trouble detector," she said, and Clark put his head on her lap without having to be told twice. His black hair tickled on her linen pants and she ran her fingers through it. It was much softer than the grass. He closed his eyes and hummed.
As much as Clark had a way with Bruce, she had a way with Clark. She squinted at the pie. "Now how do I know when that thing is ready to be eaten?"
"You can tell by the smell. Takes years of practice," Clark said, a smile playing around his lips. "You'll just have to trust me."

Adolescence Unfiltered: The Emotional Rollercoaster of Growing Up
By: Tabura & Sabdani
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: Please note that the interviews below are solely for the academic requirement for the major subject Developmental Psychology (Psych 201) and nothing else. The interviewees were given informed consent, and there was voluntary participation. The interviewees permitted us to show their faces for documentation and it should not be used for other means.
Pleasantries!
Entering adolescence is a journey filled with adjustments, challenges, and moments of joy. As part of our Developmental Psychology (Psych 201) course, we set out to explore the lived experiences and adjustments related to physical, cognitive, and socioemotional milestones in early to middle adolescence. As dedicated students in the Psychology program, my partner and I have observed how this stage of development is filled with both trials and triumphs as adolescents seek independence and a sense of identity.
To delve deeper into these complexities, we conducted an interview with an adolescent. Our questions aimed to uncover the nuances of their experiences, highlighting the unique aspects of this developmental stage and how it shapes the individual's life.
INTERVIEW:
Lawrence ‘Yuki’ is 21 years of age and a third year college student. As we asked questions, we observed that he confidently answers all of them. Yuki states that when he feels stress or a difficult emotion one of the things he does is playing video games or playing sports. When he is playing sports or video games, it feels like all of his stress just vanishes, temporarily. When ‘Yuki’ feels down or overwhelmed he runs to his friends or classmates for support, but sometimes he prefers to be alone.
Yuki’s shares to us the challenges he feels when it comes to learning. He stated that it is a bit challenging but at the same time fun because he feels the support towards his mother and friends. Also Yuki feels that his mother places a lot of expectations on him, and he carries a heavy sense of pressure and doubt because of it. He also pointed out that the program he is currently enrolled in is a result of his mother's suggestion. Initially, he had wanted to pursue HRM, but he decided to take psychology instead because it is a broader field with more opportunities. Yuki described his relationship with his father as 'cool' and 'chill,' saying they have a relaxed and understanding bond. Whatever decision Yuki makes, his father is always supportive and tends to agree with the path he chooses.
When it comes to communicating with his parents when he needs help and advice. Yuki prefers not to communicate his problems face-to-face with his parents. Instead, he feels more comfortable discussing them through chat. He finds it awkward to have direct conversations with them, especially when it comes to personal issues. This approach allows him to express himself more freely, without the immediate pressure of in-person interactions, and helps him manage the emotional distance he feels in those situations.
After conducting the interview, we learned so much about Yuki and his perspective in navigating adolescence, connecting them to his developmental progress.
To Lawrence "Yuki", we are deeply grateful for your cooperation. May you continue thriving from adolescence to early adulthood. Thank you!

AI-Powered Recruitment: How UAE Companies Are Streamlining Hiring Processes
In today’s fast-paced business environment, finding the right talent has become both a challenge and a necessity for companies in the UAE. With the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, businesses are now leveraging technology to streamline their hiring processes, ensuring a more efficient and effective recruitment experience. In this article, we’ll explore how AI-powered recruitment is transforming the landscape for HRMS Software in the UAE companies.
The Role of AI in Transforming Recruitment Processes
AI plays a critical role in streamlining various stages of the recruitment process, from initial screening to final selection. With the increasing reliance on HRMS Software in the UAE, businesses can now automate several recruitment functions, saving time and reducing human error. AI-powered tools can rapidly sift through thousands of resumes, identifying the most relevant candidates based on predefined criteria such as experience, skills, and qualifications. This not only speeds up the process but also ensures that hiring managers are focusing their efforts on the best-suited individuals for the job.
Hiring managers are always on the lookout for ways to simplify and optimize the recruitment process. With the introduction of AI, recruitment has become more data-driven, faster, and smarter. AI algorithms now help in screening resumes, analyzing candidates' skills, and predicting their future performance, giving HR teams the ability to make more informed decisions. As companies continue to adopt AI-driven solutions, the UAE is quickly becoming a leader in using cutting-edge HRMS software to manage recruitment.
One of the most significant advantages AI brings to recruitment is the ability to eliminate bias. Traditional recruitment processes often involve unconscious bias, where certain candidates may be favored based on personal preferences or irrelevant factors. AI, however, evaluates candidates solely based on data, ensuring a more objective approach to hiring. This is particularly important for companies in the UAE, where a diverse workforce is a key strength. By using AI-driven recruitment tools, businesses can ensure that they are hiring candidates based on merit, contributing to a more inclusive work environment. For more information also refer
https://www.forbes.com/sites/jackkelly/2023/11/21/ai-recruiting-will-be-a-game-changer/
Furthermore, AI can enhance the candidate experience by making the application process smoother and more interactive. Chatbots, for example, can engage with candidates during the application process, answering questions, providing feedback, and even scheduling interviews. This reduces the need for constant back-and-forth communication, allowing HR teams to focus on more strategic tasks. In the long term, companies using Software that integrates AI are better positioned to retain top talent, as the candidate experience becomes a positive and efficient journey from the very beginning.
Real-Time Data and Predictive Analytics in Recruitment
AI-powered recruitment tools also offer real-time data insights, helping HR teams make data-driven decisions throughout the hiring process. Predictive analytics, a key feature of modern HRMS software in UAE, allows companies to assess the likelihood of a candidate’s success in a specific role. For example, by analyzing historical data from previous hires, AI can predict how well a candidate will perform based on factors such as their educational background, work history, and even social behavior. This level of insight is invaluable for businesses that want to make smarter hiring decisions and reduce turnover rates.
Moreover, real-time data from AI-powered systems helps businesses in the UAE track and measure the efficiency of their recruitment processes. With detailed metrics on time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality, HR teams can identify areas for improvement and optimize their strategies accordingly. This level of transparency and control would be difficult to achieve without the help of AI and HRMS software.
Future Trends in AI-Powered Recruitment
As AI technology continues to evolve, so too will its role in recruitment. Future trends point toward even greater integration of AI in the hiring process, with tools that can assess not only a candidate’s hard skills but also their soft skills, cultural fit, and long-term potential. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies may soon be integrated into recruitment platforms, allowing candidates to experience a simulated day in the life at a company before they’re hired.
Additionally, AI could soon be used to identify passive candidates—those who aren’t actively looking for a job but may be open to the right opportunity. By analyzing online behavior, such as social media activity or engagement with job-related content, AI tools can pinpoint individuals who are a good fit for specific roles and present them to recruiters before competitors even realize they’re available.
Conclusion
AI-powered recruitment is revolutionizing the way UAE companies approach hiring, making it faster, more efficient, and more inclusive. By leveraging cutting-edge HRMS Software in the UAE, businesses can automate time-consuming tasks, reduce bias, and improve the overall candidate experience. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect AI to play an even larger role in shaping the future of recruitment, helping companies find and retain the best talent for years to come.

How to Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Smart Hiring
In today’s fast-paced business environment, the traditional hiring process often falls short, being time-consuming and prone to biases. Enter Artificial Intelligence (AI) — a game-changer that is revolutionizing the way organizations approach hiring. Leveraging AI for smart hiring not only streamlines the process but also enhances the quality of hires and improves the overall candidate experience. Here’s how your organization can harness the power of AI in your Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for smarter, more efficient hiring and onboarding.
1. Automating Resume Screening
One of the most labor-intensive aspects of hiring is sifting through countless resumes to identify suitable candidates. AI-powered HRMS software solutions can automate this process by using machine learning algorithms to analyze resumes and rank candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and fit for the role. This not only saves time but also ensures that no potential candidate is overlooked due to human error or bias.
2. Enhancing Candidate Sourcing
AI can help broaden your talent pool by sourcing candidates from a variety of platforms and databases. Using advanced algorithms, AI can identify passive candidates who are not actively looking for a job but might be open to new opportunities. By analyzing online profiles, social media activity, and other digital footprints, AI can recommend candidates who might not apply through traditional channels but are highly qualified for the position.
3. Improving Candidate Assessment
Traditional assessments often fail to provide a complete picture of a candidate’s capabilities. AI-driven assessments can evaluate candidates through a variety of innovative methods such as gamified assessments, video interviews, and psychometric tests. These tools use natural language processing (NLP) and facial recognition to analyze a candidate’s responses and body language, providing deeper insights into their personality, cognitive abilities, and emotional intelligence.
4. Reducing Bias
Unconscious bias in hiring is a significant challenge that can lead to a lack of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. AI can help mitigate this by standardizing the evaluation criteria and focusing purely on the data-driven aspects of a candidate’s profile. By removing identifiable information such as names, genders, and ages from resumes during the initial screening, AI ensures that candidates are evaluated based on their skills and experience alone.
5. Streamlining Communication
Keeping candidates informed throughout the hiring process can be challenging. AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can handle routine communications such as scheduling interviews, answering frequently asked questions, and providing updates on application status. This ensures that candidates are engaged and informed, leading to a better overall experience.
6. Facilitating Onboarding
Once a candidate is hired, the onboarding process can be just as crucial as the hiring process. AI can streamline onboarding by automating paperwork, scheduling training sessions, and providing new hires with the information they need to get started. AI-driven onboarding systems can also personalize the onboarding experience by recommending specific resources and training based on the new employee’s role and background.
7. Predictive Analytics
AI can help predict a candidate’s future performance and potential fit within the company culture. By analyzing historical data from current and past employees, AI can identify patterns and trends that correlate with successful hires. This predictive capability allows HR teams to make more informed hiring decisions, reducing turnover and improving employee retention.
Conclusion
Integrating AI into your HRMS for smart hiring is no longer a futuristic concept — it’s a necessity in today’s competitive job market. By automating tedious tasks, enhancing candidate assessment, reducing bias, and streamlining communication and onboarding, AI transforms the hiring process into a more efficient, objective, and candidate-friendly experience. Embracing AI in your hiring strategy not only saves time and resources but also ensures that you attract and retain the best talent for your organization. Invest in an AI-powered HRMS solution today and take the first step towards smarter, more effective hiring.

A good partner will understand your needs and expectations, provide you with expert guidance and advice, deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget, and offer ongoing support and maintenance.
Involve your stakeholders: Your HRM software project will affect not only your HRM department but also your entire organization. Therefore, it's important to involve your stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Your stakeholders include your management team, your employees, your customers, your vendors, and your regulators. You need to communicate with them regularly, solicit their feedback and input, address their concerns and issues, and ensure their buy-in and support for your HRM software project.
Train your users: Once your HRM software is ready to use, you need to train your users on how to use it effectively. Your users include your HR staff, your managers, your employees, and anyone else who will interact with your HRM software. You need to provide them with adequate training materials, such as manuals, videos, webinars, or workshops. You also need to monitor their usage and performance, provide them with technical assistance and troubleshooting, and collect their feedback and suggestions for improvement.
By following these steps, you can successfully implement HRM software in your organization. However, implementing HRM software is not a one-time event. It's an ongoing process that requires constant evaluation and improvement. Miya Osamu x Y/N: dancing 'round the kitchen in the refrigerator light
Hello~ it's been 3 years since I posted a piece of writing here omg 😳 Life got in the way and I didn't feel inspired most of the time, but I'm trying to get back into writing now 😊
My previous works were kpop-focused lol, but I'm not a fan anymore. In 2020, I got into anime again, so now, I'll instead write fics and drabbles featuring my favorite anime characters.
I'm still a lil rusty from my writing hiatus, but here's the first one, Miya Osamu from Haikyuu!! x Y/N!
Tumblr media
Osamu was in college, taking up HRM and Entrepreneurship... yes he's double majoring 😂
You were his classmate in one of his electives: Food Writing.
He actually really liked you but he kept it a secret for a couple of reasons: (1) he intended to fully focus on studying because the final/ultimate requirement for his Entrepreneurship course is to build a business, restaurant in his case (2) he found you intimidating and honestly, a bit too good for him. You're pretty and popular among guys and he was not interested to join the competition. And so he secretly liked you and pined for you on the side lol.
Years later, he has launched Onigiri Miya and you're a food writer for a prestigious magazine.
You were tasked by your editor-in-chief to write about and interview a rising star in the culinary landscape. You instantly thought of Osamu.
You went for a surprise visit in Onigiri Miya, opting not to let him know beforehand because as a food writer, you must see the restaurant for what it really is in terms of food, management, customer service, etc.
Honestly, you and Osamu were not very close back in college. Of course, as classmates, you became friends and you also worked on several projects and homework. But he was shy when it came to you and you were just pretty chill, so you didn't actively approach him nor did you push him to talk to you more. But overall, you had good memories with each other.
And so your visit was not only for business but it was also a catch-up session.
You asked him everything about his restaurant and he asked you about your career as a food writer. Deep inside, he wanted to ask if you're single, but of course, he couldn't bring himself to do so.
"Work is hectic as fuck so I don't have time for relationships." You blurted out as one of your complaints about your job. There goes the answer to Osamu's question. He was shocked to know that you're single because you're smart, beautiful, and confident. The man was too stunned to speak 😂
"How about you? Does the founder and chef of Onigiri Miya have a girlfriend?" You teasingly asked him. Osamu blushed and pretended to be busy with his hands, cleaning some utensils that are already clean. "No. I'm too busy as well, like you." He mumbled and you chuckled. "Are you gonna include that in your article too?" He teased back which earned him a hearty laugh from you. "Nah. But I can, if you want to? Just a little fun fact about you. It will perhaps help too if you're looking for some romance.... Are you?" You asked. Osamu took some time to answer, focusing on cleaning the utensils with furrowed brows. "I'm sorry. I seem to have overstepped-". "Ah, no, it's fine." Osamu finally looked at you with an embarrassed smile. He was taking so long to answer because he was contemplating whether to say yes and hint to you that you're the one he wants, or to say no and insist that his busy schedule is his priority. He chose the latter.
After that first visit, you started to regularly dine in Onigiri Miya as a friend and customer even after the article was published. Osamu even made you VIP. You two got closer through these visits. Eventually, you started to realize your feelings for him and Osamu got more confident and determined to confess to you, of course with some help and annoying push from his twin, Atsumu.
It was just the two of you in his store, at around 11PM. The silence was deafening yet comforting, as you finish your beer and he sat in front of you after cleaning up. That's when he confessed and as confirmation that you accept his feelings, you simply went straight for a kiss without a word.
You became a couple and after some time, you realized that you prefer to help him with his food business instead of continuing being a food writer. You wanted to be by his side as he builds his empire, supporting him with everything you got. You told Osamu about this and while he was pleasantly surprised, he also made sure that this is what you really want to do and that you are not feeling some kind of pressure to do it. You quit your job as a food writer and became a full-time co-manager at Onigiri Miya. With this, Osamu was able to focus on cooking and engaging with his customers. You also helped with other tasks if needed or if you wanted to, such as serving the food/customer service, marketing, and even as the cashier in rare cases. Watching you do all of these filled Osamu's heart with warmth and so much love that it felt like bursting.
After closing time and everyone has left, you two spend some time with just each other, and you really treasure it because you spend most of the hours of the day with lots of other people. And while winding down and finishing up cleaning, Osamu plays some music and you guys dance around the kitchen in the refrigerator light. Sometimes when you still have energy, Osamu teaches you how to make random dishes. It's not for the restaurant, it's just for fun. Watching you help him with his business and spending time with you as he teaches you how to cook made him realize one thing: he wanted to marry you.
He told Atsumu that once his second Onigiri Miya branch opens and achieves a stable status, he would propose to you. And he did. After one year, you held a small garden wedding and after a few more years, you were blessed with baby twin boys and the third Onigiri Miya branch.

The Life of Ingeborg “Inge” Marseille (Freifrau von Ledebur)
Of all the people that, whether directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentionally, affected the life of Luftwaffe ace Hans-Joachim Marseille, it can be said that his sister Inge played the most pivotal role. Her death left Marseille with deep emotional scars, and it was a blow from which he never truly recovered. It was after her death that those around him saw him change from a carefree, effervescent young man to a more serious and reflective version of himself. However,  like many of the important people in Hans-Joachim Marseille’s life, barely anything is written about her. The circumstances of her death are, according to most of her brother’s biographers, shrouded in mystery. So who was Ingeborg Marseille? That is the question this post will attempt to answer.
Ingeborg Gertrud Hedwig Charlotte Marseille was born on April 18th 1917 in Berlin-Schoeneberg as the eldest child and the only daughter of Siegfried Georg Martin Marseille, and his then wife Charlotte Marie Johanna Pauline Gertrud Riemer. Two years later, her younger brother Hans-Joachim Walter Rudolf Siegfried Marseille was born. The two siblings were extremely close.
Tumblr media
Inge and Hans-Joachim dressed in matching “sailor outfits”, which were very fashionable at the time.
Tumblr media
Another adorable photograph of Inge and Hans-Joachim.
Nothing is known about Inge’s childhood or her adolescence. However, according to James Dean Sanderson, Inge was on good terms with her biological father, Siegfried Marseille, unlike her brother Hans-Joachim, who for a time refused to see his father in his new residence in Bremen.
It also appears that Inge, like her brother, was also on cordial terms with her stepfather, Karl Reuter
Hans-Rudolf Marseille also relates an anecdote which further illustrates the cordial relationship between Inge and her father. This was taken from the 1998 documentary in German about the life of HJM which also included interview snippets from an interview with HRM.
Jochen was a keen motorist and in October and November he served in a training company in Quedlinburg. And my sister Inge came to Bremen for Christmas. She annoyed my father, as they say now, and the three of us: me, my father, and Inge, were on our way to Quedlinburg for Christmas. My father picked Jochen up from the barracks, and the release was only until midnight, which is important. We had dinner, and Jochen started to get ready to go back to the barracks. He asked my father if we could go there in the new car we had. My father refused. And now, after so many years, so many decades, I think it was a big mistake. He should have been told, “All right, my boy! You can drive a couple of kilometers by yourself, and I’ll drive back.” Instead, he called a taxi, and Jochen took a taxi to the barracks. I am a father and a grandfather myself. It was a situation where my father needed to react differently. And I’m not sure if Jochen had digested (understood) the situation or not. I don’t think so.
On August 31st, 1939, Inge married Oberst Leopold Heinrich Otto Karl Albrecht Freiherr von Ledebur in Miltenberg am Main. He was eighteen years her senior. From then on, she was known as Ingeborg Freifrau von Ledebur.  Von Ledebur was born in 1899 in Charlottenburg, the son of Leopold von Ledebur, a recipient of the Pour le Merite and the Order of St. John, and Anna von Jagow. He had been previously married to a woman named Barbara von Gaudecker from 1927 to 1938; this marriage produced a son, Kurt-Heinrich von Ledebur.
Tumblr media
Nothing is known about the nature of their marriage, and there are no photos of either of them in the Marseille family album. However, we do have an insight into the elevated lifestyle that Inge was living as a baroness from a letter to Hans-Joachim Marseille to his father, Siegfried Marseille.
The following is a screenshot of a portion of the letter, taken from the cache of letters shown by Hans-Rudolf Marseille in his video interview, the footage of which is accessible on the website of the Karl Hoffkes website. I have included the translation of the German to English below.
Tumblr media
Translation:
Inge told me a lot about Franzensbad by letter. The strong financial expenditure looks very much like the "Baroness"! I don't think it's right that you referred her to Leo, because Leo is in the field, after all, and also has other weightier worries. After all, Inge is your daughter..
For clarification: Franzensbad was a spa town in Germany that is now a part of the Czech Republic, known as “Frantiskovy Lazne”. From this section of the letter, we see that a) Inge must have had a lot of money at her disposal as a result of having married into a family with blue blood, and b) there must have been some sort of familiarity between HJM and his brother-in-law for him to refer to him as “Leo” and not by his full name, “Leopold”.
According to her death certificate, which can be found on Ancestry.com under the name “Ingeborg von Ledebour” (that’s how it’s spelled on there; Walter Wubbe spells it “Ledebur”, as does the family tree of the von Lattow family, to which Inge’s husband has biological ties to and in which I found his lineage), Inge Marseille died on January 2nd, 1942. The place of death was listed as “found dead in her apartment.” The cause of death was “unknown”.
However, according to Colin Heaton and Franz Kurowski, Inge had been living in Vienna and was murdered by a jealous lover, an ex-boyfriend with whom her relationship had gone sour, and he proceeded to stalk her and murder her violently.
In his book “Behind Enemy Lines,” James Dean Sanderson paints an entirely different--and much more detailed--picture of Inge’s death:
Tumblr media
With this, it appears that there are 3 versions of Inge’s death: a) she died in her apartment and was found there, and no one could determine the cause of her death, b) she was living in Vienna and dated someone, broke up with them, and then they murdered her, and c) she died in a car accident while on an outing with another man.
I studied each scenario and did my best to verify the facts that each one presents:
Scenario 1: She died in her apartment; the cause of death was listed as “Unknown”. There wasn’t really anything else I could deduce from that, so I set that aside.
Scenario 2: She lived in Vienna and was murdered by a jealous lover. (I tied that information in with the facts given in Scenario 3)
Scenario 3: She went on a trip with a Nazi official named Krefft, who was drunk and as a result flipped his Mercedes over on the autobahn. He walked away from the scene and left Inge there to bleed to death. Later he denied being present and said that Inge had taken his car herself, which was refuted because she did not have a drivers’ license at the time. He was sent to Russia to fight, but attempted to escape and was captured and beheaded by the Gestapo near the Swiss border.
I did some poking around, and I found a detailed timeline of Inge’s husband Leopold von Ledebur’s military command posts that he held throughout his military career. This screenshot was taken from a thread from Axis History Forums.
Tumblr media
We can see that von Ledebur was stationed in Berlin at around the time he divorced Barbara von Gaudecker and married Inge.
Between 1939 and 1941 he was commander of an infantry regiment (which is plausible given the fact that war was declared in 1939).
In 1942 he was delegated to a reserve battalion.
It is through this that we can verify the fact that HJM said to his father in the letter, and that James Dean Sanderson also mentioned in his book: Inge’s husband was indeed away most of the time in the field.
So how did she die?
Of course, we will probably never truly know what really happened. Hans-Rudolf Marseille never mentioned anything about it as far as the 1998 documentary that featured parts of his interview shows. Marseille never spoke about his sister’s death to any of his comrades, and none of Marseille’s comrades who would have been in a position to view the legal proceedings associated with Inge’s death could say for sure what had actually happened.
Based on the information above, here’s what I think happened:
Inge, being a baroness by marriage and being married to a high-ranking major, would have had the opportunity to get to know many other high-ranking members of the Nazi party, including this man Krefft. She must have started an affair with him, which would have been easy for her since her husband was away in the field (According to Sanderson, he was in Russia) all the time. The relationship between them, however, went sour, and in an attempt to sort of patch things up, Krefft and Inge decided to go on a trip to Vienna. However, Krefft would have been extremely bitter over the turn their relationship had taken and sort of established an “if I can’t have you, no one else can” mentality, and resolved to kill Inge during that trip. It was for that reason that, as they were driving on the autobahn in or around Vienna, Krefft turned the car over in a way  that would have fatally injured the person in the passenger seat (Inge). He would have been drinking at that time, but he wouldn’t have been drunk enough to get into a car accident like that (it would have been on purpose). When questioned, he would have denied everything, and tried to pin the blame all on Inge. He would have been sent to the Russian front to fight on account of his rank, and because it would be a scandal to throw a high-ranking Nazi officer in jail for murder of a young baroness. However, Krefft didn’t want to go to Russia, and attempted to flee to Switzerland (it was neutral at the time). He would have been captured by the Gestapo at the border, taken to one of their headquarters, tried as a deserter, and guillotined (that was still a form of capital punishment in the Third Reich.) Inge’s in-laws (her husband’s family) would have focused all of their attention on avoiding a scandal, since they are an aristocratic family. They would have bribed an official or gone to a registrar with whom they had dealings with and asked him or her to write that Inge had been found dead in her apartment and that the cause of death was unknown. That was what went into the official records as the cause of her death. Inge’s in-laws would have then broken the news to Inge’s parents, and HJM would have heard about what happened when he returned to Berlin from convalescence in Greece.
What we do know is that Inge’s death affected her younger brother Hans-Joachim profusely. He would continue to mourn her for the rest of his life, although never outwardly. One of his prized possessions which he kept on him at all times was a picture of him and Inge as children, taken at an amusement park. He chose his fiancee, Hanne-Lies Kupper, on the basis that she reminded him of Inge. When, on 30 September 1942, his body was being recovered from the place where it had landed in the desert after he fell from his plane to his death, it was alleged, according to Walter Wubbe, that the sandals he had been wearing at the time of his death had once belonged to Inge.
Tumblr media
Marseille’s body on a stretcher in the desert after being recovered by his comrades. His head has been wrapped in a cloth to keep his jaw from dropping and his mouth from hanging open. If you look closely, you can see the disfigurement to Marseille’s face that resulted from the impact of his fall.
As always, I would love to know your thoughts, etc. in the comments!

Mild
For Both
Do you kiss and tell? Have you told your friends about your…adventures?
Marchia: I doubt Mr. Social Butterfly here has told his ‘friends’ about our... adventures. *teasingly raised an eyebrow while looking at him*
Ethan: *chuckled* You know I would never, love.
Marchia: I never kiss and tell, too, except to my sister. For others, I leave that to their own incredible imagination skills. *winks*
Ethan: *doesn’t reply, horrified expression on his face*
My spouse looks the hottest in ____________.
Ethan: Nothing.
Marchia: *cheeks slowly blushing* You answered that waaaay too fast, babe.
Ethan: *whispers to her ears* I know exactly what I like, my love.
Marchia: *blushes furiously at this point* Eh-hrm. *clears throat* You always look extremely hot whenever you wear that black turtleneck. *opens up her phone, showing Bree a photo of him*
Tumblr media
Marchia: I mean.... how can I resist that? *fanning herself with her hand*
What song best describes that night after the country club (1.15)? You know which one…
Ethan: The Sweetest Taboo by Sade.
Marchia: Is it bad that I don’t know that song? *face turns into 😬 emoji*
Ethan: *stares blankly at his wife, lets out a deep sigh*
Marchia: Obviously, my answer would be Slow Hands by Niall Horan.
Ethan: I have no idea who that is.
Marchia: *laughing* That’s okay, babe. I know you’re struggling to keep up with us younglings.
Hottest thing my spouse has ever done is ___________. (Doesn’t have to be dirty)
Ethan: My answer would be that one time I caught her learning to do a lap dance.
Marchia: *gently slapping his arm* I was trying to surprise you for our anniversary!
Ethan: *smiling* I have to admit, love, that was rather... erotic.
Marchia: Well, I’m ridiculously weak whenever I see him fixing or building things. Last week, he was fixing some pipes in our kitchen and let’s just say... *snorted* it ended up not getting fixed.
Who said “Let’s make out” first? Where was it?
Marchia: *pointing to Ethan*
Ethan: *pointing to Marchia*
Marchia: Really? So it wasn’t you who wanted to make out in your office on the first day of becoming Chief? *tilting her head towards him*
Ethan: That.. was a mutual agreement.
On a scale of 1-10, what would you rate their seduction skills?
Ethan: Nine. Her seduction skills have really improved over the years.
Marchia: Or maybe you just can’t resist me anymore? *seductively biting her lower lip*
Ethan: *gulps* Perhaps.
Marchia: I think Ethan’s seduction skills is a solid nine, too. He has.. certain methods to seduce me into doing things.
What bathing suit does your spouse look the best in?
Marchia: Ethan has this navy blue, almost black, trunks that he likes to wear. Combine that with his abs, jawline, and muscles? I’m deceased.
*Ethan laughing unexpectedly*
Ethan: That bikini she wore on our honeymoon was one of the best bathing suit she had ever worn.
Marchia: Oooh, I liked that too! It almost didn’t survive, though. *laughs*

Extra Hot
*Not suitable for minors. By answering these, you are acknowledging you are 18+
For Both
What’s a surefire way to turn on your spouse?
Ethan: Simple, it’s dirty talk. Bonus points if I could whisper it slowly in her ears.
Marchia: For him, it doesn’t take much. I could give him this bedroom stare and he would immediately cave in.
Who makes the most noise?
Marchia: *sigh* Me. I can’t really help myself.
Ethan: And when she can’t scream, she would bite.
Who loves foreplay the most?
Ethan: That would be my wife.
Marchia: He’s being humble! I think we both equally love foreplay.
One round or multiple– Which do you prefer?
Marchia: I tease him a lot by calling him an ‘old man’, but don’t let that fool you, Bree. He can go all night long if I don’t stop him.
Ethan: *laughing* Yet, I’m happy to adjust my preferences according to the missus’ desire.
Best night/sex you’ve ever had with your spouse?
Both: Last night.
Marchia: *laughing again* It’s a continuous process of improving our experience.
Morning or night? What’s your favorite place to have sex in?
Ethan: Night time. In addition, she does not have the capacity to do anything sexual in the morning.
Marchia: True. And, I’m not sure if Ethan agrees with this, but my favorite place would have to be his office.
Ethan: *pretends to be shocked* In my hospital? Under my supervision?
Marchia: *laughs at him* Please don’t report me to the HR.
Ethan: I don’t necessarily have a favorite place. As long as I have her, we can have it on any surface.
Who dominates in the bedroom?
Marchia: Most of the time, Ethan. I’m just here for the ride, man.
Ethan: She prefers to be given a set of... instructions, in the bedroom. *stares at her with intensity*
Marchia: You know it, Chief. *shoots him with a sultry look*
Marchia, what’s your favorite outfit to wear for him? Ethan, what’s your favorite that Marchia wears?
Marchia: He bought me this dress as a gift for becoming Head of Diagnostics. I loved it ever since, and I refuse to let his primitive instincts tear it apart. Although now, I’m starting to think it was more of a gift for himself.
Tumblr media
Marchia: And, let me guess... this is your favorite.
Tumblr media
Ethan: *glanced at the photo* You’re not wrong.
What’s your favorite thing your spouse does in bed?
Marchia: This is not entirely sexual, but my favorite thing would be cuddling in bed. Whether it is raining or hot outside, all I want is to cuddle with him. Usually, cuddling will also lead to other... sinful activities.
Ethan: I agree. Anything that involves Marchia and our bed is a favorite of mine. Especially with that tongue of hers.
Marchia: *her face turns into 😳* I did not expect that.

interview with the muse.
Tumblr media
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? : “I go by many different names around these parts,” Barry begins sagely. “Sinnoh’s Fastest Man, Runner-up Champion of the Sinnoh League, Poffin Master Apprentice, Fight Area’s Business Baron, the Twinleaf Thunderbolt with a Heart of Solid Gold...”
WHAT IS YOUR REAL NAME? : “...Hey, I wasn’t done!” he blusters, rubbing the back of his head as the interviewer cuts his list short. “I guess you could also just call me Barry...”
DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU WERE CALLED THAT? : “Uhm...hm. I guess I got this name because, even from birth, my parents just knew that I was gonna be a Barry Cool Guy.” 😎 (He doesn’t know.)
ARE YOU SINGLE OR TAKEN? : “Ha! I’m happily married...to the spirit of adventure! To long journeys and exploring new frontiers! To going boldly where no Sinnohan has gone before!” (He’s single.)
HAVE ANY ABILITIES OR POWERS? : “Uh, duh? I’m one of the fastest people in the region, just ask around! Also, I can do a killer Staraptor impression! Wanna hear?” (He proceeds to scream in the poor reporter’s face.) “Pretty solid, right? You’re impressed, huh?”
WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOR? : “I mean, just look--they’re hazel! Try not to get lost in ‘em, right? Wahaha!”
HOW ABOUT YOUR HAIR COLOR? : “I mean, my hair’s always been this blond color...but I’m down to change that soon! What’s the harm in mixing things up every once in awhile, right? Maybe I should dye it green to match my scarf!”
HAVE YOU ANY FAMILY MEMBERS? : “Mom and Dad, of course! Oh, and Teach can be my cranky old Grandpa, I ‘spose. Anyone’s welcome to become part of the Barryfam--I don’t just have a tree, I have an extended universe!”
THAT’S COOL I GUESS, NOW TELL ME SOMETHING THAT YOU’RE BAD AT : "Now, you can judge this for yourself, but I’ve been told that I’m not the most patient guy. I’m too reckless, I can’t sit still, blah blah blah. I mean, I guess there’s some truth to those rumors, but check it out--I’ve been sitting here for like, an hour now with no issues! What? It’s only been ten minutes?”
DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES/ACTIVITIES YOU LIKE DOING? : “Hum. Well, I love exploring, coming up with new inventions or things to sell, and laying under the stars! Oh, and when the Poffin Master allows me back in the House, I’m gonna give cooking another crack as well! Get ready, chefs!”
EVER HURT ANYONE BEFORE? : “Well...” he pauses with a hearty (fake) chuckle, “...on his many journeys across Sinnoh, Barry has left plenty of broken hearts in his wake. When you’re great at battling like me, you’re gonna hurt people’s feelings when they taste inevitable defeat! But, outside of fierce combat, I wouldn’t hurt a fly! I mean, except for that one time I tied Luc’s shoes together. And that one time I hit Hika in the face with a snowball. And that one time I ran full force into Kouki, even though that was an accident. And...” (This continues.)
EVER….KILLED ANYONE BEFORE? : “I would never ever do that! Ever. I save lives, I don’t take ‘em! The only thing killer about me is my radiant smile! Am I right?” (He’s over-forcing the smile and looking very scary.)
NAME YOUR WORST HABITS. : “Well, I’m impatient. A bit forgetful. I mean, this brilliant brain is moving at mach speeds, and I’ve got places to be! I feel like I’ve answered this question before...are you repeating stuff now that we’ve passed the two hour mark? What? It’s been only been 20 minutes? Haaaangh...”
“Hika was right. This interview is taking forever...”
DO YOU LOOK UP TO ANYONE AT ALL? : “I look up to Crasher Wake and my dad! They’re the only people in the entire region who are taller than me!” (Haven’t you always said that you were 7 foot?)
WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF? : “Oh, um...” he pauses, looks down, and scuffs the floor with his foot, “...I dunno. Losing the people I care about. Gotta be strong for them, right?”
DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE? : “I love a looot of people, y’know!” he replies, deftly dodging the question with a wag of his finger. “Don’t make me list ‘em all!”
HOW MANY FRIENDS DO YOU HAVE? : “Hrm, well, let’s see...” Barry muses, holding up a finger to count. “Hika. Luc. Kouki. ‘Rena. Teach. Cyn. Goldilocks. Bert. Tackle Snake’s trainer...Robin? Crasher...hey, I’m out of fingers! Okay, toes next...” (This goes on. Until he runs out of toes. It is very easy for Barry to consider you a friend.)
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON PIE? : “I have nothing but great things to say about the tasty circles that we call pie. A-hem. I personally love a golden-brown crust, crystallized sugar, Tamato Berry filling, with just a hint of vanilla and nutmeg...” (This also goes on. It’s getting late. Barry loves pie.)
FAVORITE DRINK? : “Boba or any other tea, really! Ooh, and nothing beats a cold Lemonade from the Department Store on a hot day!” he reminisces before furrowing his brow. “I feel like I’m banned from having coffee though, so I’ve never really tried it. Smells nasty, but...I feel like I’ve been banned across several lifetimes. Isn’t that weird?”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE? : “Ooh, that’s easy! The Fight Area has the coolest battles and awesome action 24/7! If I’m not chilling by the lakes somewhere, you can probably find me there selling stuff! Please promise me you’ll buy something when you stop by, ‘kay? I need to drive up those numbers!”
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SOMEONE? : “Yeah, I’ve been pretty interested in Fantina lately! I mean, how does she pack her hair into those...uh, orbs? It’s totally cool--I wanna try something like that!” (Barry bowls over the question’s actual meaning. On purpose? We’ll never know.)
WOULD YOU RATHER SWIM IN THE LAKE OR THE OCEAN? : “Ocean’s too salty, blech! Catch me diving into Lake Verity or Valor any day! Um, I also tried diving into Lake Acuity too. Once.”
CAMPING OR INDOORS? : “Camping, always! Nothing beats it, except when your tent is leaking. Or you get totally snowed in. Or there’s a scary noise outside and you need to use the bathroom. Well, hang on, maybe indoors is good too. Hey, where are you going? Are we done? It’s only been like, five minutes!”
(The interviewer has run out of breath. It’s over.)
