this fic is very bad because it makes a-yuan wwx’s biological son, doesn’t address the mother at all, and apparently cuts the wens out of the story completely after wwx dies even though it’s a modern AU and it was never stated the wens are dead (like why don’t they have any contact with lsz as he grows up?!), also the writing sucks at delivering significant information in an emotionally satisfying dramatic way. it’s a modern AU where wwx’s resurrection is due to a hospital error and lsz literally just comes home as a teenager and finds wwx there after thinking he’s been dead for 12 years. he’s just. there. where is the fucking dramatic reveal. also it was written so badly that I couldn’t read any further AND it was lzx pov which is absolutely my least favorite pov to read wx from.

in the subject of xz & wyb related hot search being more often — the airing of ygy has led to some of those searches being related to comparisons to cql. some are good natured and were just looking at the set ; others are about shi ying and wwx, then you have the more dangerous one, linking shi ying & lwj. this should be “fine” but we know it isn’t when it comes to the history between their fandoms.

gg has other ygy-related hs almost everyday that it’s on air so i’m not implying that it’s all cql-related, but those ones tend to be more problematic…

it’s all these “vs” tags that don’t help at all. fans tend to fight under these topics. i can understand in their perspective why they don’t want these associations for xz or wyb, but there is really no sense in arguing. just ignore it. they are getting used again and again by these yxh or entertainment accounts for the engagement.

there’s also some cpfs insinuating how this may be mobilized by tencent, trying to associate cql with yuguyao — but i don’t wanna go there. they own both titles. and tbh, XZ doesn’t need that to boost viewership. there are cpf speculations that i don’t agree with, and this is an example of that. maybe they know more than we do, since international fans tend to have less information, but the point is it’s harmful to XZ. He’s always been dragged by antis because of tencent being his “backer” like it’s a bad thing. I mean, he is their global ambassador. His works always bring money to tencent. It’s business. He is their golden goose when it comes to dramas so it makes sense for them to give him more opportunities. It’s not rocket science.

now the “candy/cpn” factor in all this are 2 accounts whose entry became the #1 post when you search the tags when they talk nothing about the hs topic.

The top traffic of "Ling" exploded, as their fans, we should get along well, Chase stars rationally, pay attention to their works, and stop quarreling!

When you read it, this is like something XZS and YBO will post to keep fans in line when there is so much noise. This time tho, it’s in the HS tag so when you click it expecting to see a fan war, you will see a message to be a rational fan. LOL.

The CPN speculation here is that xz & wyb team paid the accounts to post these and for it to be a top post. It’s a different approach from just deleting the tag altogether. A plea for fans to be more rational and I hope they did read it. It’s sad knowing that these advices will always be “read” but never put into action and our boys will from time to time have to spend money on these things. It’s in line with them not wanting “rivalry” themed posts about them to flourish, especially if it’s work-related.

Pretty fun event, i think i understood what happened in the story but since i don't usually pre-write these posts i kinda forgot like half of the things that happened in the event story since i read the event story in the first week this time xd

The stages are pretty fun, the difficulty solely depends on how good you are at managing the blight and the particularly tricky stages like HS-8, EX-1, EX-3 and S-2 really drives that point home

Due to the event scheduling i haven't even had the time to play RA2 at all, barely touched IS4 after the expansion update and literally only played the first stage in TFN4 so i'm glad to get this off my plate

I got jumpscared by Ling on the literal second daily pull so now i have 3 out of 4 Sui operators needed to activate Shu's SP feeding talent so that's nice

Perfect clears for the Rim Zone Security Service locations, after the hell that was Southern Security Service with that fuckass ice cream truck and The Thirsterrrrr i'm actually glad these were piss easy, especially since there's still no actual reason to farm SSS because they're still making tier 1 module data blocks artificially scarce for no reason

A Love So Beautiful: To me this is like the classic example of the genre. It's the story of Chen Xiaoxi growing up while being perpetually in love of her neighbor Jiang Chen who seems aloof and pedantic but is just extremelly socially awkward. As usual it follows 5 best friends through high school shenanigans making you feel all warm and fuzzy. This is one of my faves but it has its problems, for starters once they leave high school the shows does a speed run to the present, creating a weird pacing in the last episodes. (It has a South Korean version that it's not...really good.. and an upcoming Thai version which I'm really excited for)

Le Coup de Foudre / I Don't Like This World, I Only Like You: This doesn't follow quite the same timeline but it's a really good show so I'm including. It follows Qiao Yi and Yan Mo, unlikely soulmates that are deskmates in high school. After Yan Mo is set to transfer to England by his parents he asks Qiao Yi to go with him. She accepts but stuff happens with her family and they lose contact for years until they reunite as working adults. The show skips from the present as they are married, to their high school life and their reunion. Featuring: strong female friendship that almost raise a child together, realistic sibling relationships, 30 year old actors in HS uniforms, and Fei Da Chuan the character to ever exist.

When I Fly Towards You: This one just makes you smile like an idiot all the time. Based on a novel written by Zhu Yi , the same writer of Hidden Love and master of writing men with poor self-esteem. Su Zaizai falls in love with Zhan Lurang at first sight and doesn't try to hide it at all. After an incident that gets Zaizai in serious trouble Lurang, Jiang Jia (Zaizai's closest friend), Guan Fang and Gu Ran help her and adopt each other as best friends for life. While the romance in this is top notch (Gu Ran and Jiang Jia deserved more screen time though), this show is mostly about the friendship between them. Also, Lurang and Zaizai are basically together from almost the start but since puppy love is kind of taboo in China it's not official until they graduate HS.

Go Ahead: This one is also a feel-fest. Jian Jian, Ling Xiao and Zi Qiu grow up together when Jian Jian and Ling Xiao's fathers decide to raise them together (yeah... I know...fellas?) and after Zi Qiu is basically abandoned by his mother. They treat each other as siblings and adore each other until Ling Xiao and Zi Qiu graduate HS and go back to their families. Jian Jian feels abandoned and starts treating them more coldly. The drama shows the importante of found family and how it compares to actual shitty blood families. The characters are so well-written, specially Jian Jian my beloved and shows actual mental health problems in a realitisic way. A lot of people disliked the romantic relationship between Ling Xiao and Jian Jian, but I'll let you form your own opinions

nother confection but this one time in 9th grade i had a very solid friend group and i had been friends with one of them since elementary and she had a bf. im trans masc so i always ended up being closer with my guy friends but at the time this was just a straight up red flag for some reason??? and she (and the other girls in the friend group) accused me of trying to make a move on him which was really funny to me at the time bc i had an established crush on someone else and did not find him attractive. anyway that day something clicked in my head and i voluntarily went without friends for a few weeks because i realised that. i was one of Those Popular Kids and if something didn't change i would end up in a position where if be denying living freely and normally simply to keep the peace. i was just being friends with this guy and i was being accused of something that would really hurt a ling time friends of mine and that was just straight up fucked up to me. i had a similar experience in the 5th grade when i went to play football (not american football) with the guys in my grade and i was accused of simply going to the playground to play with my crush. and it's like i realised that i was a little different now that everyone was really hitting puberty. anyway i feel like that switch in friend group was entirely responsible for the person i am today. the year in which this happened ended up being a pretty fundamental one for my tastes in art, fashion and even creating a tumblr account so. yeah :P
