Wait is this directly inspired by How to train Your Dragon?
Some aspects are- the beastiary, dragon armor, and some of the dragon designs. I took inspiration from dragon depictions in a lot of different media.
Games like Day of Dragons and Minecraft help me come up with characters and landscape ideas!
#ask#thanks :3#i do have a lot of sources for inspiration#httyd wasn't the original source though#i played minecraft with my friends and then wrote a story about it#and included dragons#toto's design was partially inspired by toothless. only the multiple ears#badelia was inspired by a flamestalker and that gecko drsgon from school of dragons#dragon armor ended up looking a lot more httyd-like than i intended#and the idea of it was httyd inspired but not the designs themselves#i love being inspired#it always has the best effect on my work#and people recognizing media in my work is nice too#we get to have fun discussions#and it's nice watching people get excited over recognizing stuff#idk i had a long few weeks.. seeing someone get even kind of excited over it really brightened my day :3#ohh i have to go i have a presentation coming up#but thank you for the ask !! :3#byebye
