well, my cnovel og mc is supposed to have a lot of love interests.  introducing possible love interest #1: hua shuangmei.
The best part about breaking into the acting industry was that there were plenty of pretty faces to satisfy a dedicated facecon, which Hua Shuangmei definitely was.  As for whether that was a modest or immodest inclination – so what?  Did it matter?  Was that wrong?   Hua Shuangmei was an appreciator of aesthetics!  Nothing was better for lifting the mood than seeing a beautiful xiao-jie or shuai-ge!  That was why Hua Shuangmei was in good spirits everyday!
Hua Shuangmei’s mood-booster for today was the pretty sister who was her scene partner: Senior Chen!
“There’s really no need to call me Senior,” Chen Lihua said, smiling charmingly.  “I feel like that might be a little too respectful for me?  It isn’t as if I have that much more experience than you, after all.”
This was not exactly true.  Hua Shuangmei had looked up her coworkers.  Chen Lihua had, in fact, been involved in the industry at least two years before Hua Shuangmei, and had been involved in a lot of filmography.  Even though she’d only had bit and extra roles, it still meant she had more of an idea of what she was doing than Hua Shuangmei did.
Ah, Senior Chen!!!  So modest!!!
“Chen-jie, then!” Hua Shuangmei said immediately.  “You can call me Meimei, that’s what everybody calls me!”
Chen Lihua paused, expression contemplative.  “Is that the same ‘Mei’ as ‘Shuangmei’?”
“Depends how you say it!  You could use the ‘mei’ from my name, but to be honest–” Hua Shuangmei flashed a peace sign – “isn’t it really cute to be everybody’s little sister?  I think so, anyway!”
“It’s really cute,” Chen Lihua allowed, which made Hua Shuangmei brighten.  Did Senior think Hua Shuangmei was cute????  Who didn’t like hearing a beauty say this kind of thing about them, huh???
Hua Shuangmei widened her eyes and clasped her hands together, using her cutest voice.  “Call me Meimei, then?  Jiejie, please?”
“...You’re quite good at selling sajiao, aren’t you?”
“I think that’s my charm point as an individual!” Hua Shuangmei said cheerily.  “Of course you have to sell sajiao!  Sajiao sells!”

If you don't mind me asking, can I ask a few questions?
1) are xue meng and mei brothers from mo ran 0.5 timeline, really die in the flood? Why they don't want to live in the present timeline?
2) is shi mei from present time line become jiang xi's step son (does jiang xi know who he is)?
3) why did madame wang not use the fire phoenix power in the first timeline againat mo ran?
4) in your opinion, can hua binan's action be justified?
Sorry if you've answered one of the questions above.
Hello!
1. Yes, shuangmeimeng from 0.5 went into the flood. They have fought in a broken world for almost 20 years since Taxian-jun first came into power, and each of them said that they are tired. They saw that their task, which was to save the parallel world, was complete, and they died knowing that they are no longer needed to protect the world. Xue Meng said he wanted rest, and there was no way Shuangmei would let him die alone.
2. No, Shi Mei 2.0 is a blind wandering doctor by the end of the novel. Jiang Xi's adopted son is described as quite young, and he is not blind. They are not the same person.
3. Likely she did not have time, and more likely she couldn't bring herself to kill her nephew. The Xues love Mo Ran in both lifetimes.
4. Yes, I think Hua Binan's actions are completely justified. His people have been persecuted for over a thousand years since Yuwu-era, and there was going to be no end in sight for their oppression. Guyue'ye might have stopped breeding Butterfly Boned Beauty Feasts, but the cultivation world still doesn't see them as full humans. There will continue to be a black market for the BBBFs, and Hua Binan doesn't want his people to live like that anymore. Even the most righteous of cultivators did not care about them as a people, even if they would save individual BBBFs like Song Qiutong. But that is no longer enough, and especially not to someone like Hua Binan, who witnessed his mother being eaten alive by his father. Hua Binan's actions are wrong, but they are, in my view, justified.

I'M SO CURIOUS ABOUT HUA SHUANGMEI. IS SHE RELATED TO WU YOUXUAN. I WANNA KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT HER!!! AND HIM!!!
Right! So! Some basic stuff, I guess!
Hua Shuangmei is one of Chen Lihua's many, many possible suitors. She is an actress that has less industry experience than Chen Lihua, but significantly more luck -- her roles are better, and she's got a decent following doing streaming.
She's meant to fit into the 'cute' industry archetype. She's sweet, bubbly, naive, and Chen Lihua spends a significant portion of her time trying to figure out if Hua Shuangmei is fantastic at the fake white lotus game, or if she's just genuinely like that, not that the og novel shows this thought process (aside: there are some significant differences in how Chen Lihua is portrayed in the og novel vs how she actually is).
In regards to Wu Youxuan: Yang Haoran has mistaken him for a triad boss love interest of Chen Lihua's. In reality, Wu Youxuan is a perfectly nice and polite minor character whose name was maybe mentioned once or twice, and then never again. He has probably thought of Chen Lihua idly in passing, but that's pretty much it.
...Also, yeah, he's a member of the triads.
Unfortunately, most of the writing that's gone into him is his dynamic with Yang Haoran; I haven't done a lot of working out of his actual background. My initial concept was that he was in fact the boss's right hand, which I'm not sure I'll stick with, so we'll just say he's highly ranked.

aight, so i have to study and i’ve having a hard time working through it, so welcome to another episode of me, doing incoherent ranting about stuff i’m writing every uh... maybe 30 minutes?
so i finished nanowrimo with around 45k words, which is infuriating, that’s the most i’ve written for nanowimo without hitting 50k.  i was only 5k off!  i was so close!!!!
alas.  shit happens.
anyway so my nanowrimo project was my villain fiance fic, and i have to reorganize SO much of it.  it’s because as it turns out, when I’m frantically sprinting towards a word count without an outline, i don’t really go coherent places.
i’ve gotten at least three new characters in this though.  their names are, in terms of plot relevance, wu yòuxuān, wei songhua (probably going to change his last name), andd hua shuangmei.  they are, respectively: a triad boss’s right hand man, a freelance artist, annnd an actress.  or, perhaps, maybe more helpfully speaking, that guy our mc super hoped was dead, mc’s kind-of brother-in-law, annnnd one of our og!mc’s possible love interests.
