#oh no the boy #he looks like his soul is about to leave his body #what goes on behind those saucer eyes I wonder #the horrors it's gotta be the horrors #the shading and lighting are absolutely delicious!#so many good hues and shades #the orange purple and magenta #I use cool colors so rarely (practically never) so it's straight up ~weird~ seeing Machete with a blue color palette #but it works it makes him look even more out of sorts than average #I'm liking all the sharp angles on his ears #oh and the lone strand of fur between them! i don’t know when i started deviating from teru’s hair color and how i deviated so much

#for the most part i like being accurate in terms of hair color for the characters #don’t know why teru is the exception #well that’s a lie i kinda know when #somewhere around 2019 when i saw and edit someone made of teru with different hair colors #one of them happened to be a sort of peach color and i liked that so much i started integrating it #BUT #i don’t know how i got an entire shade darker #cuz in my head i was like “oh maybe i color picked and slightly shifted hues”#NOPE it’s an entire shade darker #mp100 #teruki hanazawa

i napped the entire day away and my dreams included, but were not limited to: big earthquake that, as it was happening, i was like "oh this is a bad one" and my stepdad went "its not that bad" - our house slid down a ravine into water / very vivid evening apocalypse that - after the blast hit and i died - swirled into sleep paralysis that occurred While I Was Dreaming (and i do mean swirled. i got whipped around like an inflatable tube man) / rich people sitcom where everyone was unbearable but i had my dear cat Letti with me / sound-based monster shaped like my mom that i kept from killing me via a funny joke (i didnt even get to finish my microwaved macaroni smh)

#it was dream after dream after dream #man that apocalypse one tho. slotting that one into one of my favorite death dreams it was so pretty and peaceful #everyone was just meandering to the beach but for some reason my legs were really weak and i couldnt walk #i tried! but i wound up just collapsing on the crosswalk. but a nice lady stopped and helped me up #and she helped me to the beach where everyone was gathering to watch the oncoming blast #oh man it was gorgeous. it was the only source of light so the ocean was glimmering with it and a low golden hue was cast over everything #no one was screaming or panicking! no one was scared. there were people on picnic blankets or just standing and watching #it was gorgeous and calming in a morbid sort of way. we were all in it together <3 #absolutely unprompted #a great break from the irritating other dreams!#the earthquake one was Incredibly realistic - foreshocks and accurate ground movement and everything!#house shook right off of its foundation #that sleep paralysis Within a dream one tho. fuck that one lmao #i woke up and was So confused for a second bc i couldve sworn i had already woken up #good to know even my subconscious is done with The Demons trying to get me #i love clawing my way tooth and nail out of sleep paralysis and not humoring The Paralysis Horrors #if i ever see my sleep paralysis demon im biting it so fucking hard. we have beef

visual?? as in what i think abt???? i personally think about the scene in the odessey where all the crew had to stuff their ears full of wax and odysseus sets himself up to hear their song. so idk i imagine a beautiful scene with various tones of bright blues and purples. if u mean the sirens themselves i tend to imagine them as the sort of beauty that comes with a song rather than actual captivating women/monster things. i tend to imagine a orchestra of sorts but thats probably just bc of my preference in music not visiuals lmao.

I have found a beautiful perfect humble rock specimen that is light yellow with a weird dark yellowy brown lining, somewhat resembling a chunk of smoked gouda cheese... effervescent

#I am still very into trash collecting at the moment and even went out and got one of those grabby sticks for cheap and a little #bucket I can carry around and put trash in. so I am going on walks in nature a bit more (not really to enjoy nature but more to play the #very fun Real Life Hidden Object Point And Click Game that is 'hunt for bottle caps and cans' .. but eh.. whatever gets me out of the #house lol).. anyway.. some nature places near water will have cool rocks #Which I know you're not supposed to take them and I MOSTLY dont.. but every once in a while it's like... when else will I ever find a #gouda rock... I have cleaned up 4 buckets of trash today.. I have helped the environment.. mayhaps.. i could take a One Single Rocke as a #treate... ANYWAY. but yeah. I don't know the names of rocks but there's a rock that's a matte muted marigold yellow sort of #color and I call them 'cheese rock'. I'm pretty sure this one is of the 'cheese rock' species but it just has weird brown coloration #like maybe it got stained or something on one side of it. Most of the other cheese rocks have no markings. though sometimes there will be a #auburn reddish sort of hue on a corner or something.. hrmm.. curious. I also got a Beginner's Hobby rock tumbler and some supplies #so I might try polishing some of the rocks from my enormous rock collection. even though they're all street rocks I picked up from sidewalk #and stuff. I saw a video where someone put random gravel and stuff in a rock tumbler and none of them were Stunning Gems or whatver #but some still turned out cool enough that I would be pleased with the result... OUgh.. I want to post more I need to like do costumes and #sculptures and stuff and be Active On Social Media and think about my Future and Career and how it always benefits artists to keep an #active social media or etc. but I just feel so tired and bad lately. I think the summer heat waves have really exhausted me. I also have #been trying to make new friends + on a weird schedule so I've been socializing and also watching media too much. I notice I always start #to feel this kind of unsettled stress of not making any forward progress in my life if I do that for too long. like 'Okay this week I've #done nothing but meet up with two friends & watch like 10 episodes of tv and only worked on a few projects on the side.. this is HORRIBLE!'#(ppl who follow me here that I talk to on discord: this isn't about you! Im specifically just referencing being tired of introductory talks #with a new round of random strangers during my Friend Hunt. Just clarifying so it couldn't be misinterpreted as vaguepost implying that I'm #secretly bothered by talking to you or etc. lol.. anyway) . Which I know to MOST people 'I talked to a lot of friends and watched some cool #stuff!' sounds like a GOOD relaxing time but.. to me it is not ghhj.. Those are 'external' focuses on things outside myself which bothers #me if not moderated. Like.. i MUST retreat internally to work on my worldbuilding and my own thoughts and etc. at very regular intervals or #it will really start to bear on me too much. Brain Mandated Hermit Isolation lol. Just being too detached from my world and stuff for #too long feels increasingly bad. PLUS. every day I don't make tangible progress towards my goals is a day wasted that I could have been #investing in my future by working on novels/games/sculptures/actual career relevant stuff. Not even in a Capitalism way i just genuinely #enjoy Completing Tasks & feel miserable if I don't for too long. EVEN the media I'm watching I turn into A Task since I rank in a detailed #google doc list after viewing lol.. Like EW movie too boring on it's own. whh I'm pissed. I can't ever seem to figure out how to make skin color look good. Anytime I open a picture of mine on a different device, the hue looks off. It's usually pretty red so I try to fix it by using some kinda yellow-ish blending mode. Then it looks fine on one device but the characters become lemon people everywhere else. With most characters I draw being Japanese, I don't want anyone to think I'm whitewashing the characters or that I'm making them yellow on purpose dammit

#idk just venting my grievances with having spent hours googling how to color calibrate all sorts of devices #but it's just not. fcking. helping #please do let me know if I ever get the hue egregiously wrong

#Ok so #Karl #The reason it’s sort of your fault #This is a tale so buckle in #Alright i had just closed out tumblr dot com and was ready to do something interesting #So a thought crossed my simple mind “why not draw something”#A Mistake #So I opened up procreate and decided to draw some eyes (definitely not because they’re the only thing I know how to draw)#So I did #And because you had been in my brain i chose to do them in purple (you are purple in my head)#Eventually I got done with the eyes after a bit of a struggle because i couldn’t get the fucking placement right #So i moved on the the eye liner #because if i don’t add eyeliner they just float in the void #hashtag just me not knowing how to draw problems #And during that I had a thought (bad)#“Hey i’ll use the trans flag colors for this”#Which to be fair was pretty cool of me #BUT #When I was picking the colors i had the saturation really low (mistake)#So I went to use the hue saturation and brightness menu to increase the saturation instead of just pickingthe right colors (another mistake #Then I got messing with the hue #and it was cool #So i spent several hours animating a color changing thing #which originally was just supposed to have the eyeliner shift colors #but then I decided the eye looked cooler #Now it’s 2:30 am :|#I don’t think i should be allowed to do things on tumblr dot com.com anymore #not because of the art thing but because of my tags #this should be a war crime #but i’m making it worse
