the harper audio discworld audiobooks are so weird. the narrator's great but they put in these musical breaks that i feel like in other books would have been put at the start and end of chapters, but in discworld are just tossed seemingly at random in the middle of scenes. i've noticed this in monstrous regiment and wintersmith, not sure if they're in others too. what is UP with that.

The drum sound is unnecessarily delicious on The Crossing and part of why I've only listened to The Crossing and Big Country's EP Wonderland is because I'm afraid I won't find the same idiosyncratic musical delights on Big Country's next albums. @astoppedclock would you say this is true, or am I totally wrong and I should stop being a coward and continue on with Steeltown?

Never mind the fact he knows a monkey. Or more- an ape. The wheels turn in Luigi's head and he's pretty quick to figure out the caller means Mario and DK are jailed. The question is: why? What the heck had they done for that to happen? If it was true of course.

my darling partner and i were sat right in the middle of the grands for the first chicago show and the view it gave of the lighting & the stage was incredible ... i'm just remembering how fucking awestruck I was as soon as TNDNBTG started that's such a stand out moment for me
