it’s officially summer in washington! the temperatures have begun to rise as the days get longer, and citizens are itching for new and exciting activities to fill the extra hours. there is always something to do, you just have to know where to look. from exploring the marina, to the ferris wheel, or cooling off inside the plethora of museums, there’s something for everyone. it’s just about finding someone to enjoy it with!

happy summer friends!! we wanted to give you all something fun and easy this month, instead of our usual tasks or events, we decided to combine them a little bit to bring you another prompt task !! as you have already know, based off of the questionnaire you’ve filled out, you will be assigned a random partner, as well as a randomized prompt to complete!! below is just a quick list of some housekeeping guidelines, and the list of where to find your partners and prompts!

you will be assigned a random task, be it cozy or angsty, based off of what you submitted, and paired with another member and their character for that prompt!! due to the amount of submissions we had, we did cap the number of characters we assigned prompts to. but if you feel like you can handle more, feel free to shoot a dm to the main and we can add your characters onto a waitlist!

please get in contact with your partner and begin plotting, discussing and writing together! if you need help finding anyone’s discord, we admins can lend a hand, or you’re welcome to use tumblr dms (we just know a majority of people prefer conversing through discord!)

you are free to complete this prompt in any time frame you see fit, you do not need to rush to complete these, but we do ask that you keep the momentum going as we are all excited to see what you do with these prompts!

there is no right way to do these! you don’t have to make them super long, and you don’t have to write only a few sentences! it is all about you, your partner and your muses!

get creative! these plots are a bouncing off point! just be sure that everything is following with the original idea and then go from there!

if you do plan on having a character be injured, beyond what might be assigned, remember to contact the main! we do ask that, even if the prompt is involving injury, that you remember to keep it pretty tame as we do not want this to be an event of people getting completely hurt! we admins still retain the right to deny any major plots !

Perched on a branch, one leg swung as she waited, seeing who would end up taking the bait. It wasn't her usual way of finding a meal for the night, but she needed a change every now and again. Seeing a young man approaching, she moved, looking as if she was struggling to get down. "Hello? You there!"

closed starter for @drvcxrys (arnold & kagome) / their fingers scratch at their opposite wrist absentmindedly, keeping an eye out for poison ivy as they walk along the trail. they'd looked up pictures of it for an hour before agreeing to come on the hike, making sure they'd know how to spot it if it appeared. there were other things to worry about, too, like bears and murderers and magically little beings that would destroy their lives in dc, but poison ivy seemed more manageable. "you know where we're going, right?"

closed starter for @youllalwaysbemyporcelain (richie & kieran) / richie isn't even sure what he's looking for, or what compelled him to come to the beach today. in his mind, this place didn't compare to the jersey shore, but he surprisingly hadn't pointed that out a million times today. "you know how to find any of this shit? you really think there's like, buried treasure out here somewhere? seems like a myth. a waste of time..." and yet, he couldn't stop himself from trying.

closed starter for @wvsteria (roman & brinna) / "please remind me why the fuck i thought it was a good idea to be outside." not only was it not normally roman's thing, but it was pushing a hundred degrees outside. he was about ready to melt off his own body, if that was possible. he yanked his feet up, one after the other, every step feeling like a marathon in this heat.

closed starter for @youllalwaysbemyporcelain (adam & aang) / "i can't remember the last time i was out in nature this time of night," adam tells the other as they follow alongside, unsure why he even agreed to attend this bonfire in the first place. it wasn't exactly his kind of thing. "guess the summer spirit got to me, kind of."

closed starter for @oceanprose (charlie & sidney) / "huh? is it supposed to be stopping right now?" charlie asks as they peer down from the top of their perch at the climax of the ferris wheel. he was pretty sure it was going to make at least one full revolution before halting.
