Are their any little redesigns you would make for any of the characters appearances?

There is a small handful of things. Mostly things that don't affect much, small nitpicky things.

I'm a strong believer in Sakura staying taller than Naruto and Sasuke in their teen years to adulthood, and her having some scars to show her tough side a little more.

In the context of it being fishnet - I'd change Ino's arm guards and shorts back to bandages. It makes her a little more unique, since the fishnet/chainmail look is used quite often, but it's not something I really care if it changes. And Ino strikes as a girl that would swap armour for aesthetic.

Hinata's the last outfit 100% needs to change. It is way too skin tight and showy for her character. Also not making her a stick would be nice, since she looks a little bigger in the manga compared to other girls. Which is good! Diversity is what is needed with characters.

Some of the designs in the last and the boruto era are peeves for me, and a few others I'm sure. Kiba was done so dirty in both of them it isn't funny.

Giving Temari some pants or leggings when she has short as hell skirts would be nice too.

Madara squints through the scope at a head of blond hair, taking his time.

There's no rush, it's a beautiful day under a clear blue sky, and the sun that shines down doesn't glint off the barrel of his sniper rifle.

He exhales slowly and his finger slowly tightens. Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze... and the trigger breaks smoothly, the boy in his sights collapsing bonelessly to the ground.

He grins and twitches his gun to the left.

Naruto Worldbuilding Headcanon!

Buffing the Byakugan!

The Byakugan was written as an antithesis to the Sharingan but got mostly forgotten. I’m here to change that.

Well all know that with the Byakugan you can see the chakra points and have x-ray vision + almost 360 degree vision. Additional powers include:

Microscopic vision: Byakugan users can look at blood samples and whole bodies up to a cellular level. Their eyes are basically a substitute for a microscope, x-ray scans, ct-scans and mris. That part where Sasuke could see Deidara‘s cellular bombs with his Sharingan? We’re scrapping that. Only Byakugan users can do that.

Immunity to most visual genjutsus. Byakugan users can see when someone is using or under genjutsu and have a natural immunity against most Sharingan genjutsus, with only things like Tsukuyomi or other powerful Mangekyou genjutsus posing as an actual threat.

Splitting anything chakra made in half. We’ve seen my man Mukai Kohinata doing this to Itachi’s fire ball jutsu and in Neji’s fight against Kidomaru. Using their gentle fist, anything that is made of chakra can be split in half or atleast damaged. This includes Susanoos. Also, Byakugan users can disable the necessary chakra points of an Uchiha to activate the susanoo.

Detecting shifts in mood. There are changes in your chakra when your mood changes, it’s canon. Byakugan users can see when someone is angry, scared, happy, horny, you name it. They can also tell when someone is lying. If someone is trying to suppress their chakra, they can see it too.

Releasing chakra from all their tenketsu. Neji has done it in the fight against kidomaru. Basically it means they can release normal or elemental chakra out of their chakra points, which makes taijutsu pretty useless against them. Ex. when a Byakugan user releases fire chakra while someone is trying to punch them, they’d burn their hands. Medic nin who have a Byakugan can use this tactic to release healing chakra on their whole body, allowing them to heal themselves without using hand signs or the palm technique, if their chakra control allows it. A Byakugan user can also release tiny portions of chakra on their elbows or legs to make their punches stronger or highten their jumps.

There’s no next level Byakugan like the Mangekyou is for the Sharingan, however Byakugan users suffer no permanent damage from overusing their Byakugan. They temporarily have bad eyesight or even blindness, but it passes.

Some stuff that could have happened that would have affected the Konoha 12 before they were even the Konoha 12 we know:

Naruto could have become a missing min after Mizuki told him about the kyubi decree.

Tenten could have left to become Tsunade's apprentice outside of Konoha.

Shino could have ended up in Root, instead of his brother.

Sakura might have not entered the Academy and kept being bullied, if she hadn't met Ino.

Rock Lee might not have made it so far if he hadn't met Gai sensei.

Ino could have been best friends with other kunoichis with different talents.

Sasuke could have grown up with his family intact if Shisui and Itachi had found a way to make their plan work.

Hinata could have been murdered as a kid instead of being simply kidnapped.

Hiashi could have been the one killed to free Hinata, so Neji would have grown up with his dad and Hinata and Hanabi being closer (?)

Kurenai could have stayed a chuning and someone else could have taken her place as a sensei (who knows who...)

Kiba could have been assigned to Kakashi's team.

Other alternatives:

Naruto could have grown up with both his parents alive and not being a jinchuriki.

They could have stolen Hinata's eyes when they kidnapped her.

Neji could have gone a missing nin after they sacrificed his father.

Ino could have been mean and part of the group of girls bullying Sakura.

Sasuke could have died during the Land of the Waves mission.

Sakura could have grown full of hatred and rage and wishing vengeance from all the bullying of her childhood.

Rock Lee could have died during the surgery, as Tsunade warned him so, sending Gai into depression or even suicide.

Tenten could have stayed a civilian instead of joining the academy.

Shikamaru could have made it to anbu still as a kid if he had been motivated enough.

Mizuki could have been their primary sensei instead of Iruka.

Hiashi's great-grandfather was only a child when Konohagakure was founded, but he'd been old enough to fight in the First Shinobi World War.

He'd heard stories about the absurd USEATC for years and how the Hyūga were robbing them blind by buying their cotton - beautifully woven and dyed with indigo - bringing it up to the capital to sell to the daimyo's court as the products of the civilian weavers under their protection.

He'd expected their contribution to the daimyo's army to be a joke. Pathetic.

It wasn't.
