it definitely feels a bit like the curling in of a finger on the monkey's paw that we went from decrying hyperminimalism and minimalist girlies and now are dealing with hyperconsumption affiliate marketing tiktok girlies in the wake of it

As much as I’d like to blame today’s hyperminimalism trends on the direction of tasteless C-suite executives and unkillable austerity politics, I have to come to terms that some of it is customer-inflicted; as much as people gush over 90s NBA jerseys whenever they make the rounds on Twitter (as they SHOULD), you know that if they released something similar today a bunch of folks would label them as gaudy and tryhard

¿Eres tu Ur o fata morgana?
Y si me rindiera frente a tí, ¿Me tomarias?
Y si me rindiera frente a tí, ¿Me mirarias?
Y si me rindiera frente a tí, ¿Me tomarias? ¿Me tomarias? ¿Me dejarias?

550. Pino Pizzigoni /// Claudio Nani House /// Parre, Bergamo, Italy /// 1964
OfHouses guest curated by Pedro Dionísio (Elara Fritzenwalden): HYPERMINIMAL #33 The table arrangement
«We work with arrangements, with the temporary array of elements.
Our tables are an example of this arranged order. In the classical table layout, etiquette meant a rigorous and precise organization of plates, cutlery and glasses. The correct sequence of the courses of the meal, the tableware required for each type of food, the order for drinks... made up the rules of arrangement. Parties and banquets were the venues for freedom and improvisation in the center of the table.
Nowadays, we do not follow these rules. Garnishes, salads, communal plates, assorted drinks all sharing the table, and at times, all of the food is on the table at once; we even help ourselves directly from the platters. But the initial setting of our tables is unaltered. Only providing its adaptability right at the end.
There are open arrangements that ascertain this flexibility: some can be specific for each moment and type of food; or ambiguous; or formal like abstract sculptures; or arrangements where the tableware is displayed waiting for the diner to establish its definitive position, or disorganized; or arranged in a line; or simultaneous. Perhaps it is necessary to make a project for the table.»

does anyone actually like the near-monochrome hyperminimalism aesthetic of almost all fan edits these past couple years or is everyone just copying each other while under the impression this is just How You Do It?

Deswegen wechsle ich zu calimoto. Natürlich klappt das nur mit 64Bit Apps. Warum so eine Panik? Schade… Dann eben Scout mit integrierten Blitzerwarner.

What happens with my purchased mavigon, my in-apps and subscriptions?
Until then you will karyen able to use your subscription as usual. You will find more information in the following and in our Support Center.
Goodbye everyone!

Hyperminimal – Puzzle Games Gone Awry
Puzzle games are generally all pretty similar – there are usually going to be either something you need to move or an obstacle you need to overcome, all within either a timed interface or with a limited number of moves.
youtube
The key feature of a puzzle game needs to be the right balance between challenge and frustration. Too much challenge and you make the player irritated, too little and they don’t feel like they’re doing anything useful.
To provide a challenge, most puzzle games either give a failure criteria or some kind of limited life system, all in an effort to keep you playing so as to overcome adversity.
By these definitions, Hyperminimal is definitely a puzzle game, but somehow it falls short on every single one of these criteria.
By these definitions, Hyperminimal is definitely a puzzle game, but somehow it falls short on every single one of these criteria.
In Hyperminimal, you tap to release a ball that is shooting straight ahead in a line, trying to reach another ball of light. In the way are a variety of obstacles that will move in predictable patterns. The challenge is both in timing your release and in halting your ball mid-flight by tapping and holding on the screen.
You can’t actually stop your ball, merely slow it drastically, so you need to not only avoid hitting the obstacles but actively predict how long you will need to hold on before your momentum, even if it is slowed, crashes you into a solid line.
This sounds pretty standard so far, with not much originality or difficulty. However, the frustration comes in the shapes that are used to provide obstacles.
Obstacles will interlace and entwine themselves, forcing you to have to constantly over-predict what you are doing. Additionally, you have to contend with the fact, because the ball of light only flows in a straight line, you essentially need to tap in a precise pattern to be able to survive.
The only way to achieve this precise pattern is to endlessly repeat the same level over and over again. There is no challenge or growth in doing this, only endless frustration that culminates in a rage-filled explosion that usually results in you turning the game off.
You can get around one obstacle after eight tries, only to then die to the next one, despite your repeated attempts.

Though the ascetic choice in Hyperminimal is, as the name would imply, hyper minimalist and simple white and black colors, the pleasant color scheme does little to distract from the endlessly frustrating, mind numbingly irritating gameplay.
The base of the game is fundamentally solid as there is only so much that can go wrong with lines and a ball moving forwards, but somehow Hyperminimal manages to make it irritating and frustrating all the same.
Our Rating
Pros Cons The base gameplay is decent enough in its simplistic puzzle design, as well as its nice color scheme. The obstacles are endlessly frustrating and confusing. The wholegameplay revolves around frustrating gameplay decisions and endless irritation.

552. Umberto Riva /// Summerhouses (Case di Palma) /// Stintino, Sardinia, Italy /// 1970-72
OfHouses guest curated by Pedro Dionísio (Elara Fritzenwalden): HYPERMINIMAL #56 Thought patterns
«Some thought patterns are independent from the analytical systems which generated them. Standards, patterns, structures, templates, arrangements... forms that associate identical systems of order or geometry from different phenomena and disciplines.
In science, it is common to find relationships between types of knowledge and methods from quite different branches. It is also normal for researchers not to have originally studied the specialised field they are now researching. Beyond these specific details there are analogies that reveal abstract arrangements of thoughts. Because they deal with emulations.
These are the patterns that can relate the shape of rivers to company staff structures, stock market trends with maps of solar radiation, mathematical formulae to the dynamics of evolution, and so on.
These patterns are what enables us to design a museum like a shopping center, a detail like a floor plan, a block of houses like a cross-section, a tower like a knife, a city like the 14 eight thousand-meter high peaks.
These patterns make us think of an auditorium as a dune landscape or as shipyard and not just as another city building or a concert hall. They allow us to expand the site, programs, discipline and geometries to their true limit.»
