Yancy, who joined them temporarily, tricks Zorua into transforming into Hilbert- naturally, when Zorua!Hilbert shows itself to Cheren, it triggers a bad panic attack and he keeps spiraling until Hugh pulls Zorua and Yancy away- and begins suspecting them of something.

Not Cheren's proudest moment. He never wanted to show how badly Hilbert's abandonment affected him.

But when he calmed down, he was sitting somewhere with Nate by his side, pressed against him and hands clasped around his own to warm him.

Perhaps this was when Nate realized how much he loved him; it was a similar feeling from when he witnessed Purrloin getting stolen, and how Hugh fought tooth and nail to protect him, his sister, and his Oshawott. To be a hero is to have something to protect- and Nate fully understands that now. He doesn't need to be like Hilbert to be Cheren's hero.

Another meeting, this time with Neo needing to speak her piece...

It was the newest meeting of FABJA, and tonight was led by Lian Ren, with Nora Valkyrie being her second. But that was neither here nor there. Flashing their student ID’s, Neo made her way with the bubbly blonde to the concession counter, both getting popcorn and their chosen drinks (for her it was a cherry soda, and she noticed that Joan got a normal cola) and headed to their chosen theater.

As they entered, they noticed that while there were some students, the back seats (“The best seats!” Joan proclaimed) were completely empty and with a happy sound, Joan grabbed Neo’s hand and pulled her over to them.

Settling into the seats, Neo could admit that Beacon really did do right by its students, and this certainly beat having to scrounge for entertainment!

Settling in, Neo couldn’t wait to see what movies were picked for the night.

Big: Body Enhancement-Strength (like a non-flying superman. He's capable of moving pretty fast but this costs a lot more stamina than it does a 'speed' tilted character like Sonic. On the other hand though, he's very strong!)

Vanilla: Transmutation (think Full Metal Alchemist- can manipulate the chemical composition of matter around her, but must respect the conservation of mass + energy)

Shadow: john carpenter's Electrokinesis (generates electrical energy and can route currents through his body without harming himself, up to certain comfortable thresholds. Yes he can shoot lightning yes he would rather do literally anything else than be caught doing that in public)

Vector: Hypervoice (type of bodily enhancement. His vocal chords are a terrifying swiss army knife capable of doing all kinds of interesting things)

Espio: False Image (illusionist, classic ninja shit. were you attacking him? oh no it's just a log. He uses it for less cool ninja shit and more 'we don't have the budget for special effects but we want to shoot fireworks harmlessly at our fans because spectacle is what they came for')

Charmy: Sizeshifter (he can make himself bigger or smaller! Sizing up has diminishing returns on how much stronger it makes him though.)

Mighty: Body Enhancement-Resilience (like Big, supernaturally strong; unlike Big the primary facet of the bodily enhancement is nearly indestructible skin.)

Ray: Levitator (As a comfortably established 20something, a lot bolder/surer with it than Tails)

Rouge: Super Sonar (good luck hiding anything from her. Good luck trying to trace her by anything she can signal-scramble by emitting the right frequency. This is speculated to be an offshoot of Hypervoice but powers are so individualistic it's hard to say)

Whimsicott would hold a red card and knows the moves energy ball, moonblast, pyschic, and encore.

Miniku would hold a muscle band and know the moves shadow claw, play rough, leech life, and pain split.

Snorlax would hold a figy berry and know the moves body slam, fire punch, iron head, and curse.

Gardevoir would hold a choice scarf and know the moves psychic, moonblast, trick, and healing wish.

Primarina would hold choice specs and know the moves hypervoice, moonblast, hidden power, and energy ball

Tapu koko would hold a choice scarf and know the moves thunderbolt, hidden power, volt switch, and dazzling gleam
