We need to talk more about Hannibal’s sheer arrogance bc like imagine having such a high opinion of yourself that you consider letting people get to know you a “rare gift”. Ik he has an established god complex but wow

Just watched Hannibal put on Will’s jacket in Mizumono and sobbed so hard I gagged! What kills me about it is that Hannibal is so clearly heartbroken over Will’s betrayal. It must have been so difficult and terrifying for him to reveal more and more of what was underneath his carefully construed mask to Will throughout the episodes, something he hasn’t done for anyone but his victims since he lost his sister. Throughout S2b we see him warm up to the idea of a companion. He tests Will and Will passes the tests, until Hannibal smells Freddie on him and knows she’s not actually dead. He could have left, then, with Abigail and they couldn’t have proven anything, he could have had a comfortable life somewhere else, but instead he chose to give Will the benefit of the doubt, presumably against his better judgement. Will did what I imagine must have been the very worst thing anyone could have done to Hannibal. He didn’t not understand him, he pretended to understand him to serve his own agenda. He sensed Hannibal craved understanding and gave him just enough to be able to turn on him. I think that’s why Hannibal gutted Will and killed Abigail, Will is the only one with the ability to truly hurt Hannibal and he does, so Hannibal hurts him in the way only he can — and by doing so imagines he will be able to leave Will behind, start a new life, just as alone as he has always been, as the promise of companionship was a hoax — but again, he’s doing it half-heartedly. He could have watched the life drain out of Will, but he leaves instead of really killing him, so Will isn’t truly gone from him. He leaves, yes, but he takes Will’s jacket and wears it — so Will isn’t truly gone from him. And that begs the question — would he have done that for anyone before meeting Will? I do not think so and neither did Will. When Hannibal asks him “Do you believe you could change me, the way I’ve changed you?” it seems like he wants Will to say no, but Will doesn’t, he say’s he has already altered him, that he is just as much a part of Hannibal as Hannibal is a part of him. They are both so so torn - Will, who betrays Hannibal, but says he did want the gift Hannibal gave him, Hannibal, who guts him but in a way that won’t allow him to die. Will, who wants to catch Hannibal, but seems so accusatory and hurt when he says “you were supposed to leave”. He’s a good fisherman, but begs the fish to swim away, and Hannibal swims towards him although he can see the fishing rod. Everyone talks about Will running towards his own destruction for him, but so does Hannibal. They’re crashing into each other. I cannot get over it, ever

While I really liked parts of 2x07, it still doesn't top the incredibleness that was episode 5. The cruelty.

I am DISTRAUGHT because I just watched Charlie countryman right, and obvi I watched it for the sexy plot (called Nigel) but like omfg I'm crying his death was so unfair to say the least. Like he was so in love with Gabi she saved him and he had been in love with her since he heard her music and yeah she didn't love him anymore or so she said but he was so protective and when he had to kill Charlie he nearly did but he wanted Gabi back so he suggested she do it and then she betrayed him which was so mean bcs Charlie was pathetic honesty but like rather than Charlie or Gabi shoot him, or even have him shoot himself. He pretends to pull a gun and a cop shoots him IN THE HEAD because he would rather die than live without her, and he knew that either he would be sent to jail or have to run if he survived. HE DIED WITH A LOVING SMILE ON HIS HEAD AND BLEEDING IN A HEART SHAPE LIKE THAT'S JUST SO NOT FAIR HE DIED BECAUSE HE LOVED HER SO MUCH HE COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT HER

I had this thought that it’d be neat if Lars and Mads played vampires together in something, then I came up with a story idea for it (four actually but this is the one that’s the most visually interesting) and then I decided to draw it to get it out of my system. They’re demonic bird puppies for story reasons and so I have an excuse to not feel bad about my horrible ability to draw likenesses

They’re Dracula’s heirs (their last name being Draculsen) through it’s unknown if he’s actually their father (Blood Heirs) or if he just bit them and passed his power along (Made Heirs) and they don’t know if they’re actually siblings but that part hasn’t ever mattered to them. Tønnes is believed to more likely be Dracula’s blood heir due to having the same copper-brass eyes as him though. They can turn into these eight foot (friendly fluff) demons because of Dracula’s inheritance, and they’re more or less chill nice people instead of evil overlords. They’re respected but somewhat controversial rulers due to their not taking to the bloody ways of vampires and preferring pacifistic approaches as a first resort, but they’ll make exceptions for tearing piece of shit wastes of air and their armies to pieces, along with any assassins sent to kill them. They also wish to push human-vampire relations toward being that of equals rather than predator and prey. Other vampires also think it’s weird that Ejnar has no interest towards lustful endeavours or the orgy parties and Tønnes has steadfast refused any arranged marriage attempts since it’s not as simple as falling in love traditionally for him and would rather any relationships he would get into involve a genuine connection between both parties. So for their detractors there’s not that much of an issue with succession to their benefit if one of their assassination attempts actually succeeds. Also Ejnar owns a female dragon he named Udholdenher and Tønnes owns a male griffin he named Musik, yes it’s impractical since they can both fly on their own but they love their big babies so much it doesn’t matter. Their big babies also get to rip apart would be assassins as a treat.

And as a joke let’s just say there’s a Benedict Cumberbatch vampire who’s the Made son of Carmilla and he’s basically their weird gay coded Barbie villain who’s obsessed with them, believing it’s time for a new reigning line of vampires and wants to trick them into biting him for a legitimate claim of power and masochist reasons. His name is Emil Augustine Carmillsohde and his demonic bat form would look like a hammerhead bat once he acquires it through emotional blackmail

Also I wasn’t expecting to finish and post this a few days after Lars’ birthday so take this as a happy little coincidence

watched all the fantastic beasts movies recently for the first time and the thing about them is. theyre bad. theyre so bad like the og harry potter movies are at least fun and magical and have a lot going for them but these films were like. what if marvel made harry potter. like so many of the sets were obvious cgi and so many of the characters (bc every film had too many characters imo. not everything needs to be a Team) were poorly written. literally the only stand out aspects were newt (eddie redmayne does a fantastic job and you really fall in love with his character and root for him) and then jude law as dumbledore like jacob the muggle guy is funny but they dont give him enough to do imo. also all the women are written terribly theyre so one dimensional and boring, the second film is def the worst and i think thats mainly due to how much screen time johnny depp gets bc the guy was giving a terrible performance like wife beating aside the man cant act anymore. also the plot was just stupid but w/e. anyway. if you see me reblogging gifs no you dont <3
