why I think taylor's rerecords are in the order that they are
Taylor could have easily published her rerecorded albums in the order they were originally released, but she didn't. Instead, she used the albums to craft a narrative, one about a reclamation of her power.
Four of the six albums have titles that are relevant to this narrative: Taylor Swift, Fearless, 1989, and Reputation. Fearless was a natural choice for the first rerecorded album -- the title is a statement, a middle finger to Scooter Braun. Through publishing Fearless first, Taylor is publicly stating that she is not afraid to reclaim what is hers.
The other three albums listed above have personal titles: Taylor's name, birth year, and, well, reputation. Of these three, it makes sense to put 1989 first, as someone's birth year is less often talked about than their name or reputation. It may not be less personal than the other two things, but it's less often brought up. 1989 is also three years older than Rep, so publishing it first allows more time between the original Rep album and the rerecord.
Unless we're incredibly mistaken, Rep will be the fifth album to be rerecorded. This one had to come towards the end of the list, as it couldn't be rerecorded earlier than 2022. Reclaiming Rep as the second to last album, though, allows Taylor to do something very powerful: as the final rerecording, she will reclaim her own name. After she takes back Taylor Swift, all her music will be hers again, and Scooter Braun will no longer hold power over her.
So now we have the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth spots in the rerecord list occupied. What about Red and Speak Now? If Taylor had published Speak Now as the second rerecorded album, the rerecords would have been published in the exact same order as they were the first time, except for Debut coming last. By releasing Red second, Taylor established that she was releasing the rerecords in a different order, thus facilitating Debut being the final rerecorded album.
This ordering crafts a narrative of Taylor taking back what is hers: it begins with a statement that she does not fear the person who took her music from her, then builds as she reclaims her career, her past, and what is important to her. Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version) will be the culmination of this effort: a final reclamation of her identity and power in the face of Scooter Braun. I, for one, am very excited to see that happen.

Summary: Based off of the song Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw.
Tumblr media
Jake waits patiently on the steps of the front porch for his father to come outside. He had offered to take Jake to the soccer fields by the elementary school to practice some of his drills. Hearing the sound of tires rolling over the gravel of their driveway, Jake lifts his head to see the familiar white mini van that he knows only belongs to Y/N’s mother.
He sits up, dropping his hands between his knees. The side of the van slides open and Y/N jumps out. He hears her utter a few words to her mother, along the lines of “Six… I’ll behave… Love you too…”, before she comes bounding up the walkway to the front porch.
“Good morning Jake.” She says, giving him a smile. “Ready to get your butt kicked?”
He groans. “You’re coming?”
Y/N nods her head as she adjusts the strap of her gear bag on her shoulder. Jake stands up from the porch and steps back inside the house.
“Dad!” He calls.
“I’m coming,” His father says as he walks out of the house. “Sorry, your mother was writing out a grocery list–some things for us to pick me up for dinner on our way home.”
“Y/N is coming with us?” Jake says, resting his hands on his hips as he looks at his father with a disdained look on his face.
“Yes, she is.” He says. “Her mother needed someone to watch her while she’s at work and I offered. Plus, with her also playing soccer, I thought it would be a good thing for her to practice with you.”
“Oh but Dad, can’t we take someone else with us? Maybe Josh? O-Or Sam? Anyone but her, please. Don’t take the girl.”
His father rolls his eyes and ruffles Jake’s growing, chestnut locks. “Come on, let’s go.” He says as he grabs his keys. “Don’t forget your stuff.”
-Ten Years Later-
Nervously and anxiously, Jake taps his thumbs on the steering wheel of his truck as he drives down the road to her house. Each mile he gets closer, the more nervous he gets. He knows he shouldn’t be this nervous, they’ve been together for a couple years now, yet he is nearly sweating bullets and his heart ready to burst out of his chest.
She’s always made him nervous. A good nervous–if that is even a thing.
Pulling into her driveway, he starts to get out of the truck when he sees the front door fly open and she flies down the steps with a big smile on her face. He chuckles as she throws her arms around his neck and embraces him in a hug.
“I’m so excited.” She says.
“It’s just the drive-in.” He laughs.
“Yes but it’s a special showing of The Goonies! I’ve never seen that movie on a screen bigger than my tv–and you know how small my tv is.”
Jake smiles and escorts her around to the passenger side of the truck and pulls the door open for her. “Oh I know.” He says. Once she’s safely inside the truck, he closes the door and jogs back around to the driver’s side.
“I’m going to go get something to drink, do you want anything?” Y/N whispers as she reaches for the door handle.
“No, but I’ll still come with you.” Jake says as he removes his arm from around her shoulders.
Y/N orders her drink and Jake pulls out his wallet to pay. “I can pay,” She says.
Jake shakes his head and slides the card across the counter for the employee to swipe. “I am the gentleman, I pay.”
“Oh.. You’re the gentleman.” Y/N giggles before sipping her drink through the straw.
Taking the card back from the employee, he slips it back into his wallet and stuffs it into the pocket of his jeans. As they make it back to the truck, he leans down and pecks her on the lips making her giggle again. A sound he loves so much.
A click sound can be heard beside them and Y/N feels the cold metal of a gun being pressed to her back. Jake looks behind her to see a man standing there with a gun pressed to her back as he grabs her arm and pulls her to him.
“Listen to me carefully, okay? I don’t want to hurt her, but I will if I have to.” The man says.
Jake can see the fear in her eyes. Jake holds out his hands in the air. He reaches slowly for his wallet and pulls it out and dangles it in the air for the man to see. “Take my wallet, man.” He says. “The keys are still in the ignition, you take the truck too, I don’t care.” He reaches for his necklace and pulls it off. “Real gold, it was a gift from my mom but you can take it too. Just please, don’t take the girl.”
The man pounders Jake’s offer. He then shoves Y/N back to Jake and takes the necklace from his hand before running off and disappearing somewhere in the woods.
Jake wraps his arms around Y/N as kisses her forehead. “You’re okay. I’m here..” He says as he holds her tightly. “I’m right here. We’re okay..”
-Five Years Later-
“Jake!” Y/N calls as she waddles into the kitchen.
Jake looks up from his laptop. “Feeling alright? Need help shaving again?”
Y/N laughs but shakes her head. “No.. I think the baby’s coming.”
“Oh shit..” Jake quickly closes his laptop and springs up from the kitchen chair. “For real?” Y/N nods her head and Jake grabs the car keys. “Alright, okay. We’ve got this.” He says as he leads her out to the car. A car he traded his truck in for, despite Y/N telling him that he could still keep that old thing.
She had been pushing for a half hour when she began to slowly grow weak. Her grip loosens on Jake’s hand, her heart rate dropping on the monitor. It was all a blur as they rushed her out of the room. He didn’t know what to do. But as if it were an instinct, his body crashes to the floor, catching himself on his knees.
He can hear the cries of their baby. Or was that him. Somewhere in the distance the doctor speaks to him. He can’t lose his wife. Not after all these years.
She’s his everything. His life. His heart. His true love.
“Please, please, please..” He begs in a whisper. “Take me instead. I don’t think I can live without her. God, please, if you’re real, I am begging you to not take the girl. Please…”
Jake sits there on the front porch, waiting for his father to come outside when he sees the minivan pull up in the driveway. A smile spreads across his face when he sees Y/N jump out the side door.
Daddy’s taking the girl with them.

Helloooo :) I am feeling a lot better, thank youuuuu 🤍🤍🤍 I hope everything is well with you! That seems so fun! I've never been to a pride event. What is it like? There's a couple in my town, but I never ended up going.
You're so excited about the project!!! It makes me so happy to see someone so passionate about something! I'm very excited to start my cardigan, even though I'm going to be desperate halfway through it. 😅 It's a big commitment. Hehe
Oooh, you've been a swiftie for a long time? Amazing!! Mine was fearless, I still remember the exact moment I first heard love story on the radio and fell in love with her music. 🥰 Best thing that ever happened!!!
I'm so obsessed with hits different, she's so fun and sweet and sad and I love it!!!
YES!!!! I'm so excited about 1989!!! I can't wait to hear everything, but I'm so curious about you are in love. 🤍🤍🤍
👻
hiiiiii!!! i'm so so glad to hear that you're doing better! <3333
Things have been pretty well so far, but it is Monday so who knows how the work week will go this early on. It was so much fun!!! It was the biggest pride event that the community has put on (I live in a rural, conservative part of Oregon) and had booths from vendors all over the area, including some from Portland coming down. We had some fun things like queereokie and drag queens performing, along with tie-dye and face painting as well!
I'm so excited and I really hope my swiftie halloween person loves it as much as I do! Embroidery has always been something I find to be relaxing and something to be proud of! All textile art is so impressive, just based off the time and patience it takes to complete them! It really is a big committment but I'm sure it'll be beautiful when you're done!!!!
I have! I grew up in Northwest Georgia so country, baby Taylor was my introduction to her music, but specifically Tim McGraw! I remember hearing it on the radio and then going home to listen to the whole album, but my favorites from debut are actually cold as you, tied together with a smile, our song, and invisible. I actually saw Taylor for the first time ever when she opened for Rascal Flatts and I remember being sooooooooo excited (we didn't know who the opener was!) but I'm so grateful that I heard her music and that it's been with me for the last 17 years of my life.
Hits Different is such an amazing song!!!! I actually bought the lavender haze Target exclusive CD when Midnights released and was bumping to Hits Different for months in my car before it was finally put on streaming! I also love most of the 3am Edition tracks (Paris and Glitch especially).
I am too!!!!!!!!!! You Are In Love is going to be phenomenal, I already know it! I'm most excited for I Wish You Would and Wonderland in particular. I'm also just so excited to hear and see everyone's reactions to 1989 tv!!!!

I just got to say I have watched Taylor Swift grow up, I have grown right beside her. I was 10 years old when I fell in love with her music. I was into country music back then and watched all the award shows with my mom and sister and I remember running from the other room every time my sister said Taylor was coming on next. I remember when she sang Tim McGraw to Tim McGraw. I was present when Kanye West jumped on stage and said Beyoncé had a better music video. I thought it was a stunt but by the look of her face it wasn’t. My heart broke when hers did. I watched and listened to people make fun of her from celebrities on tv to people I sat in class with. Never once did I believe anything people said because first of all none of us know her life on a personal level. I remember when Red came out and my sister hated the song We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I absolutely loved it. It’s when she started to lean more into Pop than country and people were not okay with that. As I sit here about to be 27 I have looked up to Taylor Swift pretty much most of my life, her albums have always gone along with certain parts of my life as if she was going through the same things. I am hella excited for this Tour because I have adult money and a car now so I am definitely making it to one of her concerts close to my state because I have been with her through all her eras just like she has been here for mine!!!

“counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums.”
Have you ever fired a gun? No. Have you ever tried archery? No. What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep? A day or so. Do you have any scars? Whew, a lot. I scar easily tbh, though me being so so pale probably contributes to making them more noticeable. Are you a good judge of character? I don't really know. I think so, but then again I'm very very paranoid when meeting new people and look TOO deep into how I expect someone to be. Can you do any other accents other than your own? Just British. What is your favorite accent? British generally, but I find French sooo pretty with girls, then Scottish is cool. What is your most expensive piece of clothing? I have no clue. Probably my leather boots. Can you curl your tongue? Yes, surprisingly... I just tried and I can with the slight curve in my tongue ring. Most used phrased? Probably "what a mood" or something like that lmao. Most used word? Besides the words in most sentences, I'm sure it's probably "fuck." How long does it take for you to get ready? No. I'm a sad American. Have you ever started a rumor? No. How fast can you type? I took a test awhile back for a job application purpose and it's 72 or so wpm. How fast can you run? Most disturbing movie you have ever seen? Probably The Entity. Has a life goal or dream ever come true for you yet? If yes, what is it? If no, do you think you’ll achieve it? lol by golly do I wish. Do you use any styling products on your hair? No. Do you have a favorite local band? Who are they? No. What’s the most confusing book you ever read? Even though it's my favorite book, Johnny Got His Gun takes the cake here. The way it's written is very confusing, though I think I get why Trumbo chose such a style. Do you like your personality? I like some things, hate others. Are your legs long or short? I'd say they're proportional to the rest of my body. How many phobias do you have? A lot. Where do you think your last ex is right now? Say your last ex walks up to you and hugs you, what do you say? We're still friends, so. At the current time, a random hug from him would probably make me cry though because he's not very affectionate and I haven't been stable for days. I need the comfort alsdjfakljwer Who was the last baby you held? It's probably been like a year since I've held a baby when I was still friends with Colleen. But y'all my sister is pregnant & next year GUESS WHO I'M HOLDING. Do you have any siblings that moved away to college? She did, but she's long since graduated. Who was the last person who cried around you? I'm sure it was Mom. What was the last thing you cried about? My life. Who’s the last guy to give you roses? Tyler. Like you know, socks are a common gift on Christmas. What’s the last funny movie you watched? Idr. Can you remember your parents’ birthdays? Yes. What piercing do you like most on the opposite sex? I'd say it depends on the person, but in general, I suppose snakebites? What brand of hair dye do you prefer to use? Splat is the only brand that has ever stuck to my hair. Lasted months. No. I have tremors in my hands, and it makes it an absolute nightmare. Are you someone who likes to make simple things difficult? I certainly don't try to, but I somehow always end up doing it. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving food? Rolls and honey ham. And that is /literally/ it. I don't like Thanksgiving food. Do you like Techno music? Yeah. Is your second toe longer than your big toe? They're like the exact same length. Do you say "merry Christmas" or "happy holidays?" The former. Who do you talk to on the phone most often? Mom. What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to? I've only ever been to Alice Cooper, but it was great. I'm supposed to be seeing Ozzy plus supposedly Judas Priest and Megadeth (you're not allowed to die, Dave) next year, and that. That will be. My preview into Heaven. I will sob. How did you meet your best friend? Over YouTube via the meerkat RP community. Do you need money to be happy? Try living really poor and come back to me claiming money can't ever buy happiness. What is something you do well? Dig way, way too deep into absolutely anything and everything. Would you like to live in a different country? If so which one? I wouldn't move there, not with all my family and such here, but I think living in Canada would be better sometimes. Do you prefer the aisle, middle, or window seat on a plane? I strongly prefer the window seat; I've found that if I'm not looking out the window and the plane changes altitude or direction (takeoff is the worst), I get VERY dizzy. I usually always wind up in the middle seat, and there and in the aisle seat, I have to close my eyes at times like those. What’s your favorite song from a movie? As far as original songs, probably "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. A goddamn beat. What’s your favorite city? I haven't been to many. Idk. Who was the last person to ask you to hang out? Do you shut down your computer every time after you use it, or do you leave it on? I leave it on. Do you know anyone who has ever been in a movie? Who and what movie were they in? What was their part? No. Describe the last shirt you saw that you really liked. Where did you see it? Omg I saw this shirt online of a really cool demonic pig that said something like "Save the animals, eat humans." It was actually a vegan shirt, but I nevertheless wanted it, lol. I support veganism, but yeah... I could never do it. But anyway, it was too expensive. Do you live in a very diverse community? Not really, no. Do you know anyone who has had salmonella? Did you ever have it yourself? What about e-coli? No; no; no. When was the last time you brought a pet to the vet? What was wrong with it? Sigh. We put Cali down. Something ruptured in her abdomen and there was also a mass on her liver or gallbladder, and her abdomen was filling with blood. It compressed her lungs so much she could barely breathe. Surgery was extremely expensive, but more importantly, we were told it likely wouldn't save her. Do you get motion sick easily? If so, does it prevent you from going on any rides at amusement parks? I've never gotten motion sickness, but I don't risk that shit with amusement park rides or boats out at sea. I'm terrified of vomiting. Do you have any bug bites on you right now? If so, where? No. Have you ever made your way through a corn maze? No. Name something that you used to do with your family that you no longer do with them or at all? Easter egg painting. Hi @taylorswift !!
We’ve never met or talked or anything but I still wanted to tell you some of what’s been going on in my life as of recent 💞😄🦋
First off, I just finished this big paper and it turned out to be 13 pages (coincidence? I think not ;)) I wrote it in one night and that shit was draining lol. But I’m so excited because I’m graduating college in December and starting a new chapter in life, which is both scary and amazing and AHHHHHHH. I’ll also be 22 in October hehe so we’re coming up on magical numbers here 😛 I can’t believe it’s been 13 years since I was 8 years old, when I first saw the Tim McGraw music video on my tv and instantly loved the song and you (my mom drove me to the store and bought me the album right then and there lol). But out of all these things, mostly I just wanna tell you how thankful I am to have you in my life and how much I treasure you and your music. You’re such a bright light and so so inspiring. Thank you for giving me so many lovely things for thirteen years now and for always being yourself. I’m looking forward to the next chapter buddy and cheers to the here and now! 🥂 💞

My mother is my best friend, the person I call now that I live away from home everyday to chat for hours. She has always supported me and my love for Taylor. She introduced me to Taylor, she called me into her bedroom and said “Ashley come see this young girl on tv her name is Taylor, I bet you’ll love this song”, and it was the Tim McGraw video, and you bet I fell in love immediately. So When I got the news from her a few weeks ago, my heart broke, she called me from the hospital and told me that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. My world fell apart, I was so scared. Terrified. Words couldn’t escape my mouth. I just said oh okay. And let her speak. She told me that she needed emergency surgery and thankfully after receiving that surgery the following week, she had revived a 100% success rate in retrieving all of the cancer within her ovaries. I was over the moon. We all were, and she was told that, she also had a cancer that was strange. That there is some still living inside her now. She is recovering well from her surgery, a long six weeks. Then after that recovery she will have to take tablets to try and kill this remaining cancer. It will be a FIGHT and I’m here for it too. It really does awaken your mind and your heart when someone goes through this especially when it’s the woman who gave you life and sacrificed everyday of hers to raise you ❤️ She has always made my life a great one. She took me to my first Taylor concert in 2012 which was A DREAM. She made the effort to surprise me with the tickets for Christmas the year prior and not tell anyone which to her was a majorly hard 😂👏, but in all seriousness she is a great mother. Who made my whole love for Taylor just a bit more exciting growing up. Dressing as Taylor getting the same clothing and similar costumes and outfits. It’s all her. And I am blessed. Please never take your mothers for granted, you only get one ❤️❤️ and I’m glad I have mine.

hi, I'm Ash[ley].
I want to share my Taylor Swift testimony, and I feel this is the most appropriate time more than ever for me to really put it out there, for many reasons.
A few days ago, I saw the Twitter stan account in the headlines for the 19 year old girl's refusal to serve in her country's military and how she was able to keep updates going while serving her time, and it touched my heart and made me even more eager to share my experience with the prison system and how Taylor Swift helped me get through it all. It took a lot of the shame and fear away from the risk of looking and sounding like a criminal who didn't have their life together and who was mentally screwed up and beneath other fans or something like that. There are extremely diverse fans of Taylor, and I encourage every single one to be able to share their experiences with no shame and how they've grown or even just made it through one day because of her.
I've been a fan of Taylor since "Tim McGraw" first came out. I'm generally not into country mainstream pop music at all, I usually stick with rock or alternative; I have piercings and tattoos, I'm rough around the edges. My love for Taylor always gets me snarky remarks or disbelief or jokes or all of the above, but I've always loved her and her music and constantly played it at any job I had and sang my heart out and it brought me comfort and happiness, always. I needed music to help me deal with inner turmoil that was always going on, we all need music to escape the things we can't handle, and Taylor is one of the ones who has never let me down in that aspect.
I've spent time in hospitals and institutions since about 2010, at least once a year, if I'm not mistaken, all for mental and legal reasons, usually stemming from some sort of substance abuse. Every time I have ended up in any of these places, something regarding Taylor Swift has come up on TV without me knowing about it beforehand. I've seen at least 3 awards shows that she's performed at while in the hospital or jail, and during the couple of weekend sanctions I had in 2017, she happened to be deleting everything on Instagram and uploading the content for Reputation. I have constantly found myself in places when I was at my worst, and she always showed up and gave me something to be truly happy and excited about and it all brought me so much comfort.
The history for my legal issues began in April of 2013 when I was grieving my cousin's suicide. I couldn't handle the emotions I saw at the funeral and it broke my heart and my mind; it brought on a lot of guilt and isolation, and I handled it all very badly by resorting to alcohol as an escape for 6 weeks non-stop. I committed 2 felonies under the influence in May and ended up spending 3 months in jail. I lost the job I had really enjoyed, I lost the chance to get my life together like a normal person, I ruined my relationship, to say the least, and I ended up on probation for 5 years.
During the last 5 years, I have received 2 extensions for probation, 1 year each. The first extension resulted in me moving back in with my family and securing a job I loved for almost 2 years, then some part time jobs I didn't enjoy so much after that. I was also still constantly drinking, which directly affected how I lost all of those jobs.
In November of 2017, not even a week after Reputation dropped, I was asked to move out of my parent's house. I didn't go about it logically or responsibly and I moved in with a friend for a month then was asked to leave there after losing yet another job I had barely been at for a month. I ended up in a very unsafe, dirty apartment with people I barely knew and a month later, I was using something I told myself I never wanted to use. I had slowly been giving up on life again, and that was what really broke me down, the fact that I willingly used something I hated so much. I stopped caring about everything except my best friend and music.
I had also been avoiding probation for those few months. I wasn't calling in to do my UAs, I didn't let them know I was basically homeless and on drugs, I disappeared from that part of my life. A few weeks into my using, I had a breakdown; something told me to get out of the apartment and that I would die there if I stayed. Even though I had stopped caring about my life, I became very afraid for my safety at that moment. I spent hours trying to find someone to get me and my things, and once my friend showed up, I had her take me to an outpatient facility I had been in and out of for a few years. I told my counselor everything that was going on, and she told me to go to the hospital and check into a crisis center when I was released.
I spent 2 weeks in the crisis center (The Lorax came on TV once, I got to hear Taylor's voice, and also when I'd call my best friend and she'd play some songs for me), and it just so happened that a program I was part of for probation had their main office in the same building.
The day I was released, March 6th, 2018, I was taken to my probation officer and told her what happened. She had me sign for a 9 month behavior modification program for felons with substance abuse issues in Gatesville, TX. Prison rehab, in short. Not quite prison, but on prison grounds, with TDCJ officers and rules, and a 7 digit prison ID number, and white clothes with black boots that say OFFENDER on the bottom of them, but not quite prison. I turned myself into county March 14th, and on April 18th, I was transferred to the facility.
In short, my time there was the biggest wake up call of my life. I managed to stay pretty positive through it all, compared to the few really bad days I'd have and the types of situations the other women were in. I met some amazing women who helped me realize how much of my life I had wanted and how much potential I had and how beautiful life could be if I just lived it with an open heart. The program itself meant well, but I couldn't fully appreciate the benefits in the environment we were in.
Taylor and her music were constantly there for me in one way or another. Soon after I arrived, I caught the Billboard music awards by chance and just knew she'd be there, even though she hadn't been at an awards show in a while, and I was right. I broke down crying realizing I wasn't going to make it to the Reputation tour like I had planned. I made it my resolve to get my life on track and see her perform one day, when I deserved it, when I was put back together.
The days that got too heavy for me, I'd sing and dance to her music in my head, both in the dorm and at work in the kitchen; a fellow Swiftie and I chose a Song Of The Day constantly [hashtagForeverandAlways, hashtagTaylorSwifthelpedmegetthroughprison]; on the rec yard one night, we played Radio and I jumped in with "Love Story" and the whole yard was singing along and lit up my soul; so many days, I got random songs stuck in my head only to get those lyrics in the mail the next day from my best friend; when I felt like breaking down, I'd go to my bunk and curl up and sing Taylor to myself; when I was finally released to the halfway house, I began to catch up with her posts and was so elated to see butterflies and Scrabble and 283 [March 5th Instagram post], all of which was so important to me in the program; last week, I was part of a community meeting, and they were taking song requests, so I asked for "Shake It Off" and got up in front of so many strangers and sang and danced like I never had before, and I had a BLAST.
A year ago, I was so unhappy and didn't want to live, I didn't see the point in anything and felt lost and hopeless. Taking a year away from everything I knew did me a lot of good, the program did me a lot of good, meeting new people did me a lot of good, but I don't know where I'd be in my recovery right now if I didn't have Taylor to look up to for inspiration and to teach me how to value and love myself in a healthy state of mind. I'm so excited for life and the experiences I'm going to have, and I owe SO much of it to her.
Taylor, thank you for what you do for the world, for your fans, for anyone who feels like they don't belong, like they have no purpose and that they'll always be miserable. You've pulled so many people out of that, and you've helped me find my way back to myself before I ever realized I was going to follow that road, back when I first heard you and didn't understand why I was so into your music, but loved and accepted it anyway. I never realized you were going to be someone who led me out of my darkness. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so blessed to be here today to continue to see you rise higher and higher and break all barriers that other people placed on you, because you believed in yourself above all else. You're my hero, and I only wish the happiest life for you.
I love you. 💓
@taylorswift
P.S. I never intended to watch Cats in my life but that's definitely a priority now.

EO, Chriska, and Harrison 😘did you really want them all? I do
YES! Because I have so many thoughts!
Send me a ship and I’ll tell you…
EO (2.0 never existed)
who proposed
Elliot was the one to propose, especially because he is old fashion in a few ways and I believe marriage is one and he believes in gender roles for various things
how they proposed
He takes Olivia on a nice getaway because they both deserve time off from work and lord knows they have enough vacation time saved up they could most likely afford to take an entire year. He makes a whole day out of it. They start by going to the beach, and relaxing in the sun, and then he tells her he booked a spa day for her to truly relax, so while she’s at the spa he is putting the finishing touches on his plans and getting himself ready. Once he’s dressed he lays out the dress he has picked out for her, and leaves a note telling her to put the dress on, and to meet him downstairs in the lobby of the hotel at a certain time, they take a short walk (because she’s wearing heels) to a fancy, romantic restaurant down the street, and enjoy a nice dinner with some wine. They go back to the hotel and take a walk on the beach as the sun is setting, with his back to the waves he gets down on one knee and asks, she says yes, and then there is clapping, they turn around and there are his kids, and Maureen is Skyping with the Cragen, Fin and Munch since they couldn’t be there.
who stressed more over wedding planning
Elliot is because he wants to make sure Olivia has the wedding she has always deserved, and wants even the smallest detail to be perfect. Olivia keeps telling him that she doesn’t care what the wedding is like. She would be happy to just go down to the courthouse with him and make it legal. She just wants to be his wife.
who had the wildest bachelor(ette) party
Olivia for sure. I mean get Olivia, Alex, Casey, and Melinda all together with alcohol Kathleen is the DD, Maureen and Lizzie join in some of the fun. I’m seeing male strippers, shots, crazy adventures the older ones don’t remember in the morning. Elliot doesn’t really want to do anything, so he, Munch, Fin, and Cragen, Dickie plus a few friends El has from his days in the Marines order a fight that’s on TV, cracked some beers, and pig out. Elliot is glad that Olivia is going to have a fun night
who freaked out before the wedding
They are surprisingly both calm, Elliot is a little terrified that something is going to go wrong, but he is sure about his decision and that Olivia loves him. Olivia knows her love for Elliot and Elliot’s love for her, nothing else matters.
best man/maid of honor
Dickie is Elliot’s best man. They have made amends after the Shane episode and Dickie is excited to have Olivia as a step mom, even though he thinks he’s too old to have a step mom.
Alex is Olivia’s maid of honor. They have always had the best friendship, and that way she wouldn’t be forced to choose between Elliot’s daughters and risk upsetting them.
where they got married
Elliot wanted a church wedding, but that was one stipulation Olivia had. Since she wasn’t religious it didn’t feel right to her, she told him he could have a priest but she wanted something outdoors. They chose to do it outside Bernie’s beach house.
if/what they wrote in their vows
Olivia’s: Elliot, when I met you, there was something so easy about becoming friends with you. The more I got to know you, the more I began to fall in love with you. I didn’t know it was happening at first, and I tried to make it stop. You were married and had kids, but you still somehow wormed your way into my heart. I’m so glad that you did. I never knew I could love someone the way I love you, and I never knew I could be loved. Thank you for being in my life and thank you for loving me so wholly. I love you.
Elliot’s: Olivia, I am the luckiest man alive because you love me. I watched you date men and break there hearts, and I always hoped that if I was ever lucky enough to be the man who go your heart to make sure I didn’t break yours and you never had a reason to feel unloved. We have had our times where we didn’t agree, we can have the worst fights, but no matter what you are the person that I want to make up with for the rest of my life. I want to show you that you are worth loving and I will never stop in my quest to make you smile. I love you sweetheart forever.
who cried at the wedding
Elliot started crying when Olivia started walking toward the alter.
Olivia started crying before she began her vows.
By the time Elliot finished his vows there wasn’t a dry eye in the place
which song they had their first dance to
My Best Friend by Tim McGraw because they started their relationship as friends before they were a couple
where they went on their honeymoon
The Bahamas!
what they did on their honeymoon
All sorts of fun activities. Snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, the beach, touristy things, and lots and lots of sex.
Chriska
who proposed
Chris
how they proposed
Took her to Hawaii, under the guise of needing to do some stuff for Joyful Heart, but once the plane landed he told her that they were going on a vacation. They spent time swimming with the dolphins because it’s one of Mariska’s favorite things to do, They stay in because they are famous and Chris wants this to happen without them being interrupted by fans. He orders room service while Mariska is in the shower, and he gets dessert (chocolate cake) and put the ring on top, and then hides it on the cart. They enjoy their meal, and he starts talking about when they started SVU and how much things have changed over the years. He pulls out the cake and pulls off the top of the dish and there is the ring. Mariska gasps and then laughs and calls him a cheeseball. Obviously she says yes.
who stressed more over wedding planning
Mariska because she is a perfectionist. She wants every detail to be just right, and Chris caters to it because he loves her and he wants her to have the best day ever.
who had the wildest bachelor(ette) party
Chris, that man get get wild. Mariska can too, but she doesn’t want to do the whole huge bachelorette party thing. Chris’s party gets crazy, but Mariska isn’t worried about it. She knows he knows his limits and wouldn’t do anything too stupid.
who freaked out before the wedding
Mariska. She’s worried that something isn’t going to go right, and that fans might try to crash it. Luckily everything goes off without a hitch.
best man/maid of honor
Chris’ best man would be: Lee Tergesen
Mariska’s maid of honor: Debra Messing
where they got married
They got married in Hawaii because of the significance it holds
if/what they wrote in their vows
Mariska’s: Chris, the moment we met there was an instant connection. When we auditioned you were telling me a story and we told the big wigs to wait so you could finish and that was when things were clear. We were going to get along great. You don’t find many people who you get along with from moment one, but when you do, you hold onto that person no matter what. We have faced many challenges together and there is no one I would rather spend the rest of life with than you. You are my rock, my soulmate, my other half, and I love you more than words could ever tell.
Chris: Mackie, I never laugh as much as I do when we are together. You can be the craziest person I know, and you love hashtags so much. But honestly I love everything that makes you, you. You are so positive and you make not only the world, but especially my world a better place. I will love you forever.
who cried at the wedding
Mariska was definitely crying
which song they had their first dance to
At Last by Etta James
where they went on their honeymoon
They went to a bunch of places. Spent a lot of time in Italy. They also go to Paris.
what they did on their honeymoon
Saw the sights, enjoyed being a couple, quite a bit of sex.
I’m going to assume you meant Carrison instead of Harrison. Although I mean Harrison in a relationship with himself could be interesting haha. (Harrison never married Melissa, but he and Carrie were still wonderful friends with her.)
who proposed
Harrison, most definitely
how they proposed
They were at the wrap party for Return of the Jedi, and Harrison pulled her outside for some privacy. He started going on about how there was this connection between them, and how he never felt that with his first wife. He knew what they had was special, and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He got down on one knee, and asked her to be his wife. She immediately said yes, and he pulled her in a long kiss. Things started getting out of hand where anyone could see them, so they went over to hide somewhere where no one would find them. They were almost naked when Mark came out to find them. They heard him calling their names and told him they would be inside in a few minutes. It was a half hour before anyone saw them inside.
who stressed more over wedding planning
Carrie was having a hell of a time because she would start planning when she was manic, and then when she went back to look over it later it made no sense. After a few cycles of this, Harrison told her that they were going to hire a wedding planner, and if she told him what she wanted he would make sure that it happened.
who had the wildest bachelor(ette) party
They had a joint party, since Carrie threw the best parties. They had decided they didn’t really want to do anything separate. They had the who’s who of Hollywood and their close non-famous friends over. The parties was one big blast and they were glad that they had done it that way.
who freaked out before the wedding
Carrie was terrified Roy or Pam were going to make an appearance. Luckily they stayed away for the wedding.
best man/maid of honor
Harrison’s best man: Mark Hamill (because in my world they didn’t fall out with each other)
Carrie’s Maid of Honor: Penny Marshall
where they got married
George agreed to let them have the wedding on Skywalker Ranch. They had gone back a forth over location choices, but ultimately decided that this was probably one of the best places to accommodate the size of the wedding and to keep people who weren’t invited/wanted out.
if/what they wrote in their vows
Carrie’s: When I met you Harrison, I kept my distance because you had this aura that you didn’t want to be bothered. I was 19 years old and felt like a kid, and I didn’t want to annoy you. Then we went to George’s birthday party, and you saved me from some unsavory things. When you kissed me, I had no clue what was going to happen, but I knew whatever it was, I wanted it. Things were complicated to say the least at the time, but I am glad that we have finally reached the point that we are at because I wouldn’t want to live in a world without you. Sometime you made act like a scoundrel in real life but I wouldn’t have you any other way. I love you.
Harrison: I know. (Yes that was necessary) You truly are a princess. I don’t know what I did right in my life to deserve you, but I’m so glad I did it. I will love you forever and always, and I will love you for who you are, no matter what life may throw at us. You make everything better. I love you sweetheart. (To which Carrie responds with I know)
who cried at the wedding
Carrie definitely cried, Harrison let a few tears slip.
which song they had their first dance to
You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone
where they went on their honeymoon
They spent some time in London since it was their city, went to the ranch in Jackson Hole.
what they did on their honeymoon
Well what little time they spent outside of the bedroom, they did a little shopping, enjoying each other’s company.

Favorite Taylor Swift Songs
So not that anyone cares but I’d like to organize my top 15 favorite Tswift songs and why. Giant Fan of Taylor Swift, she’s seriously my idol. So it goes.
1. Style (1989)
I love this song, because I love the style that came from the era of the chorus. I love the description of her lover being like James Dean, and the mention of the red lipstick. Plus I love the idea that, through time, this beauty, nostalgia, and style, will always be timeless. I have “We never go out of Style” tattooed on my foot. My best friend and I actually got matching Taylor Swift lyrics tattooed on us last May. (Also I was in the front row on this tour, where Mariska Hargitay from Law and Order SVU, and who Taylor’s cat is named after was on the stage. Two of my absolute favorite humans on the planet were on the same stage 400 feet in front of me during my FAVORITE song. ) This by far increased how much I loved this song.
2. Look What You Made Me Do (Reputation)
This song, is just so GOOD. It’s an anthem for you feeling justified, that someone who wronged you got their karma. People who treat people badly, might have people treat them badly and get a taste of their own medicine. It’s therapeutic, when you realize it wasn’t you the whole time. Although none of us are perfect, we all may have wronged someone, and we’ve all been wronged, but we all deserve it. Because you are the bad guy in somebody else’s story. It’s absolutely freeing when you let karma take charge, because karma always finds her way.
3. Starlight (Red)
Instantly when I heard this song, I loved it. It made me dream of love when I was going through an extremely low time in my love life. I made bad choices, with who I was involved with, but it gave me hope, that I could have a dream marriage, and magical life.
4. Holy Ground (Red)
Holy Ground is a song that just inspired me. It’s a song about being in love but if you’re not with the right person, everything is just wrong, definitely too if it’s your first love. My husband was my first boyfriend and we did break up in the usual ways, and it was actually very similar to some other stories. One like my mom and dad’s, and when Harry met Sally.
5. Stay Beautiful (Taylor Swift)
I frequently tell people this. When my bestie and I went to see Taylor on GMA (yes we made it on tv!) My sign said, “stay beautiful”. The sentiment, just makes me smile. It’s basically saying, don’t ever lose yourself, by giving in to what other people expect of you. Always be good to people, and maybe that kindness will find its way back to those who might need it most.
6. The way I Loved You (Fearless)
I can’t explain what makes this song get me. But it’s always been my favorite on the album. Your love may look perfect on the outside but it’s not always on the inside. It may not be the perfect story, but it’s ours.
7. All too Well (Red)
This song is one of the absolute best, because it’s so...eloquent. Taylor is rambling, but she is telling you the story of her break up, like a friend might tell you a story. She’s not upset that her and her boyfriend broke up, she thought he was the one for a while, and she’s happy it happened, but man, did it hurt, when she realized all the good times couldn’t last forever because her and her boyfriend were just drifting apart, and it was inevitable, she just wasn’t ready. When I saw Taylor perform this live the first time, she was a sweaty mess just like us and was almost in tears. I love seeing artists so vulnerable. It’s just incredible, because there is so much passion.
8. Clean (1989)
Clean to me, meant that a clean break from toxic relationships could be so freeing. This is more a coming of age song, where you have decided to cut the poison from your life. You are safe. When I heard this song, I thought that people who are fighting their own demons with addiction, or depression, or toxic family members, need to be clean before any progress happens. Also my best friend and I were crying when she had her little spiel, before this song. We couldn’t hold ourselves together because, it was like Taylor just UNDERSTOOD.
9. I Knew you were Trouble (Red)
I knew you were trouble was seriously my anthem when I realized I was seriously dating the guy I knew was trouble. This guy, was such a bad fit for me, but it was fun while it lasted. I deserved it, I needed that kick in the butt. Looking back it was probably my most exciting sleazy relationship ever, yeah it was fun. Plus when I was in college I commuted and I listened to this cd and this song made me feel better about myself.
10. Mean (Speak Now)
This song, just is so simple. That is what makes it so BRILLIANT. There is nothing that can change that it is just so relatable. If you haven’t been bullied in your life, good for you. But most of us definitely had, and we remember how badly we felt every time. In my middle school years I wish I had the courage to respond to mean people like this. Those are your awkward years, and you’re just not confident in who you are, and you have people every day, reminding you that, you are weird and they don’t want to be your friend. Girls are so vicious at this age, that I wish I had the brass balls, to say this to those people, where you knew you were going to be successful because you didn’t let bullies put you down.
11. Back to December (Speak Now)
Back to December just had a melancholy feel to it, and it was easy to play on piano. I loved the way it sounded, I still do. It’s like running into an ex or an old friend, and just admitting that you miss the way it was. You were wrong. You were the bad guy in this one. I am sorry, I was such a bad girlfriend, or friend. We can’t be perfect all the time, but this is me taking responsibility for me being crappy. It’s ok to admit that you weren’t right, sometimes though even if that is easier said than done.
12. You’re not Sorry (Fearless)
You’re not sorry, is about admitting to yourself, that your partner had no respect for you. Once the trust and respect is gone, you cannot get it back. Because in the process you’ve seemed to lose your own self respect. It’s hard to accept but once you do, you tell them to leave you alone because at least you have gotten some of that, you will not be their toy, no matter how sad you might be. Once they know that, they control you. You cannot give someone that much power over your thoughts.
13. The Last Time Featuring Gary Lightbody (Red)
Gary Lightbody has such a great voice, when he did a duet with Taylor I just about squealed at the top of my lungs. This duet is so awesome because It’s two different point of views, and we don’t get much of that in her songs. Also the contrast with her voice and his is just magic. This song is sad, but I love the music, and the vocals so much. The harmonies are so pleasing, I need more like this.
14. Dress (Reputation)
Ok, this one is a little sexy. Actually A LOT of SEXY. I loved this song, because I thought “hey look at Taylor making a song about lust.” This is song is hot. I was a little shocked to hear the words to this one because it was definitely more mature than some older tunes. But I am only 3 years younger than Taylor Swift, so I resonate a lot more with some of her mature ones. Yes I am an adult I have sex. I’d be lying to you if I myself didn’t buy sexy lingerie for someone just to take it off. Something that makes this song better? The last time I went to see Taylor Swift, I was so close to her, during this song, when she was on the B stage. She was very close to me during this song, and I’ll never once forget how close I was to her. It makes this song better as that is what I really love about that memory.
15. Shake it Off (1989)
I know for a fact this one is overdone, and played until your ears fall off. But this song is just so lighthearted and like awesome. To me, it never gets old. Just it’s classic, and fun. I adore this song. It’s not as deep as some of the other ones I’ve mentioned but I could listen to this all day, and just feel great.
So, there are my favorites? Which ones are your favorites and why? I must say, 1989 in my opinion is an absolute masterpiece of an album, but so is Red. Also Reputation is too, because there is not a single song on Reputation I do not like. 1989 and Reputation, I love front and back (bonus tracks included). Red is a moody album but just so RAW. Speak Now, has some of the most well written songs I have ever heard, even ones I didn’t mention. Fearless, although a young sophomore album still pretty darn good. And TSwift the original, which has some gems. Tied together with a smile gets the honorable mention on that one and also Tim McGraw. Good night, Taylor Swift fans. Hope you enjoyed.

SINGER SONGWRITER SCOT SAX
Scot Sax Returns to Philly
To Debut Mr. Chocolate
By Rob Nagy
Mr. Chocolate is the latest album release from multi-talented singer, songwriter and Philadelphia native Scot Sax. Offering a six song collection riddled with pop tendencies, Sax headed into the studio with the sole intention of writing great songs with no pressure and no expectations. Featured on the album are Wilco-drummer Ken Coomer, Bob Dylan’s longtime live guitarist John Jackson and Phil D’Agostino.
“Mr. Chocolate has a lot of energy,” says Sax, from his home in Nashville, Tennessee. “I really enjoyed this project.  It was really exciting. I wrote a bunch of songs with the freedom of, ‘I’m just going to write songs like I did when I was 16.’  So that’s what I did, and it was just really fun to write stuff. I thought it would be fun to cut a record just like Wanderlust cut their record. Knock it out in two days and just have this amazing exciting and driven experience. So that’s how the album came about.”
Sax is taking a sentimental journey to the Philly area to perform live one of two shows featuring Mr. Chocolate. Joining him will be his wife Suzie Brown who will be performing songs from her latest album “Sometimes Your Dreams Find You.”
“The Mr. Chocolate show is only a one-time thing,” says Sax. “I will only be playing in Philly at the Burlap and Bean and in Nashville at a place called Radio Café. This show is not a touring band; it’s more about the record. It’s kind of a theatrical David Bowie experience. It’s not me doing what I usually do.  It’s something very different.  You have to be at the show to experience it. We have a Mr. Chocolate life-like figure on stage that is the actual front man, he doesn’t move or anything. I’m almost a sideman to Mr. Chocolate. Its really cool because it makes me a little bit more of a musician. Sometimes my musicality falls off to the wayside because I’m busy doing the front man thing. When I get to really play guitar it feels great, so that’s what these shows really are.”
“As great as life is here in Nashville,” adds Sax “the people back in Philadelphia is where I got love from whether it was family, friends or fans, and that’s always going to mean the most to me. The fans there always get it and that has been pretty awesome. I just wanted to see the fans again.”
Sax rose to prominence in the mid ‘90s as the founder and principal songwriter for the band Wanderlust.  Signed to RCA Records, they released their debut album “Prize” featuring the hit single “I Walked.” Sax would chart again with his band Feel and the singles “Got Your Name on It” and “Won’t Stand In Your Way.”
“There’s a lot about the music business that doesn’t totally fit with my personality,” says Sax. “You really have to beat the hell out of yourself to get anywhere in the music business.”
Influenced by the works of Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles, Sax exhibited a passion for songwriting dating back to his early teens.
“Everything else was difficult but that was easy,” recalls Sax. “I picked up a guitar and I don’t even remember learning more than two chords before I was putting songs together. I didn’t realize how kind of atypical that was until much later.”
Following his days in Wanderlust and Feel, Sax focused his attention on a solo career as well as songwriting for such high-profile artists as Jason Mraz, Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block and Jennifer Love-Hewitt. Sax received international prominence as the co-writer for the Grammy Award winning Faith Hill and Tim McGraw hit “Like We Never Loved At All.” He has also penned songs prominently featured in the film “American Pie” and the TV shows “Ghost Whisperer,” “NCIS,” “CSI: NY” and “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
No stranger to sharing the concert stage with high profile artists such, Sax served as the opening act for Robert Plant and Allison Krauss on the duo’s 2008 “Raising Sand” tour.
“There is so much great talent there, and there are so many people doing the songwriter thing that I decided I wasn’t really cut out for sitting in a room and writing songs for people I don’t know,” adds Sax. “It’s just really not my thing, even though I have had the most success doing that.  It’s not something I loved to do. So, I’m done co-writing.”
“I play out quite a bit in Nashville, but for the most part with a soul review band,” adds Sax.  “I do songs that are almost like Philly soul, they are all new songs that are mine. I do tour when it’s a family affair with my wife Suzie Brown, who is a very gifted singer songwriter. I always felt a little bit lonely and I realized I never had the connection to people that I longed for and never totally knew why. Being with Suzy and our kids has been a really good thing for me.”
As if Sax isn’t busy enough, he is opening The Kitchen at Atomic Nashville- what he calls “a haven for connection” - a WIFI free listening performance and events room, in January 2018. His passion for filmmaking is giving his fellow artists an outlet to tell their story and share their work.
“I’ve never had this much creative output since I was a kid in my bedroom,” says Sax.  “It’s been really great. I make documentary videos for people, for bands and artists.  I have a podcast called “One Hit Neighbors.”
I had my hit and the guy that moved in next to me named Steve Poltz had a hit, “You Were Meant For Me and I was Meant For You” with Jewel. So, we call ourselves “One Hit Neighbors.”  We interview people each week. I am writing and recording probably more songs than ever. I’ve been doing more drawing. When I want a booking in Nashville, I call my soul band up and we play a show. So, I’m actually more of an artist now then when I was at my peak with Wanderlust and it feels great! The rest of my time is being a happily married man and having loving, warm, sweet daughters. I’ve never been better. It’s a gift and a really good time for me.”
Scot Sax and Suzie Brown perform at the Burlap and Bean, Springton Pointe Venue 204 South Newtown Street Road Newtown Square, PA 19073, on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 8:00 P.M. For more information call 484-427-4547 or visit www.burlapandbean.com

Survey #109
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and a great Christmas to come!
If you were pregnant, how would you tell the father? Well if you were talking about now there wouldn't be a father so therefore this situation wouldn't exist.  But I'll answer it hypothetically.  I honestly don't know how I would considering it wouldn't be exciting for me seeing as I don't want kids.  It'd probably just be a very serious talk where I make it very clear (s)he's going up for adoption. What’s the hardest level you can play on Guitar Hero? I used to play like everything on expert but now it's a mix of that and hard.  It's funny, I still remember "What I've Done" by Linkin Park was the first song I played on expert lol. How many songs by AC/DC do you have on your iPod? None.  Not saying I don't like any, I just don't really like any enough to have on my iPod. What’s your favorite country song? Uhhh.  Probably "When the Stars Go Blue" by Tim McGraw. Do you shut off your computer at night?  No. Do you like sensitive guys? Yes, but not someone who's over-the-top sensitive. If a guy wants to become friends with an ex, does it mean he still likes her or cares for her? CARES for her, obviously.  You don't aim to become friends with someone you don't care about. Have you ever tripped someone?  No, I find it rude.  The person could actually get hurt. Favorite decade of music?  Man... I like the '80s a lot.  '90s metal is super nice, too. Would you consider yourself a flirt?  No.  Not saying I never do, but I'm definitely not a big one. What annoys you most about social networking?  People get ballsy as fuck to say anything because they're behind a screen, yet they're too scared to say things to another's face. Are you an over-achiever? No. Have you ever been in a hot tub before? Yeah. Do you care if your boyfriend/girlfriend drinks? If it's any more than occasionally, yes. Do you like to cuddle? If it's not hot and I really like the person, I'm a cuddlebug. Do you like cinnamon on your apple pie?  I hate pie. Do you eat the crust of your sandwiches?  That's actually what I eat first.  It's my least-favorite part so I get it out of the way. Do you know anyone who has a name that you hate and, if so, who is this person?  Ha, Don.  I hate the name Donald with a passion. Have you made a list of things you want to do before you’re 30? No. Do you like your shirt to be loose or tight?  Loose. Do you know anyone with two middle names? Me, though when people ask for my middle name, I just generally give them Marie because that's the one I was born with. Have you ever had colored braces? Ha ha I did.  Probably shouldn't have made them so obnoxious. Have you ever felt discriminated against? Yes, due to mental illnesses.  People love to make assumptions.  And currently with my sister's in-laws not knowing I'm bi, I know I would if they knew. Have you ever been sick on your birthday?  Omg yes.  I was recovering from the stomach bug. Do you believe good therapists exist?  I have the greatest therapist in the world. Have you ever called a suicide hotline? I don't like talking on the phone, so I used the online chatroom thing they have.  Waited about 45 minutes for someone to respond and then came my overdose. What was one of your childhood imaginary friends’ names? I didn't have imaginary friends. Do you ever get so nervous that you can’t even think?  Yup, mainly in arguments.  I can't think AT ALL in arguments. How do you feel about the people who are teased in high school suing the bullies who teased them for emotional damage?  I didn't know that was a thing, but if you were truly hurt, go for it. Do you believe that people live in their own worlds or realities or do you think we all share the same world/reality?  The latter. Do you believe that everyone who doesn’t believe in your religion is going to Hell?  I'd like to believe agnostics go to Heaven.  It seems pretty cruel to punish a person for not knowing.  This is a stretch, but I even hope atheists who are good people go to Heaven by living Christ-like.  Sending good people to Hell just sounds wrong. When (and if) people (or animals) go to heaven, do they become angels?  No, spirits and angels are two different things. Do you like when people call you things like “baby”, “sweetie”, “hun”, etc?  So long it's not "babe/baby" or "sexy," yeah. Have you ever seen someone sleepwalk?  Yes.  My little sister legit tried to go outside. Do you believe that there are certain circumstances when cheating is allowed? Nope. Do you prefer earbuds or headphones? The earbuds that actually go inside your ears.  You can hear pretty much everything. What do you want the theme of your wedding to be?  Ideally, having a gothic-styled wedding would be a m a z i n g. Would you be comfortable discussing your sex life with a stranger? I have barely anything to hide and I still wouldn't.  A stranger doesn't need to know anything about that. Do you think sleeve tattoos look trashy? No, I love sleeve tattoos.  I also don't understand how a tattoo automatically makes someone trashy unless the content of the tattoo itself is. If you had to get a portrait tattoo, who would it be of? No sir, those don't appeal to me.  I don't want someone else's face on my body. Do you like the smell of men’s colognes better than woman’s perfumes?  I mean, it really depends.  But as far as the majority of scents... uhhh... shit, I dunno. Have you ever given a pet to someone else?  Yes. If you have, did it make you feel sad? Sometimes.  Other times, they truly needed a home. Have you ever liked someone you didn’t want to like? Jason for a fucking year after we broke up.  About goddamn time I no longer do. Would you rather be a mermaid or an angel? An angel.  Being a mermaid honestly doesn't seem amazing.  Well I mean... maybe if I lived in a reef. Does it make you nervous when someone does something dangerous showing off?  YES. Have you ever had anything tailored? Prom and bridesmaid dress. Would you feel bad about breaking up with a kid on his birthday?  You could've just said a person, "kid" sounds weird.  But I highly doubt I'd be able to do that.  Let them have a good day. Do you feel awkward with strangers in elevators?  HA HA YUP Do you cuss excessively when you’re upset? I'm even more likely to cuss than I naturally am, yes. Do you have a beauty mark?  Birth marK?  Yeah, on the side of one of my left forearm. What’s the biggest misconception about you, personally? Uhhh... no one's ever told me this I think, but maybe that I'm disinterested in people because I don't talk much?  I can see how that can be assumed. Do you know anyone who’s died in childbirth? I don't think so. What religious beliefs were you raised with?  Roman Catholic. Do you enjoy dried fruit? EW. Do you like reading novels that are a series/trilogy/etc? I did. Where does your pet sleep at night? Teddy has gotten to where he wants me to put him onto the bed (he usually can't jump up here anymore with his arthritis) when he's ready to sleep, so I bring him up here.  Cali sleeps next to my mom on the couch, and Bentley's usually beside her.  Venus is usually in her rock, but sometimes sleeps behind her water bowl. Who wears glasses in your house? Are they near-sighted or far-sighted? I wear glasses and can't see far away.  Mom does sometimes and can't see close up. What kind of pain reliever do you use when you have a headache? Advil/Ibuprofen. How’s your online personality different from your offline personality? I'm more outgoing and talkative online, but still have shy tendencies. Would you rather go out to breakfast, lunch or dinner?  Breakfast. Have you ever burned a photo of you and a person you were angry with?  No, seems rather over-dramatic.  But I guess it could be therapeutic for some. Has a boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s parents ever gotten mad at you? Why?  Ummmm I don't think so.  I feel like my girlfriend's parents don't like me at all as they've voiced their distaste for this long-distance thing way too many times, but I don't think they're mad at me. Have you ever been friends with a boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s siblings?  Not "friends," no. In some states people want to make it a requirement that creationism (god made the world) be taught alongside evolution in high school sciences classes. What do you think of this?  I personally support both being a course of study.  You pick which one you want to learn about. Have you ever had an HIV test? No. If your pet dies, you can now have it cloned for $50,000. How do you feel about this?  I wouldn't.  Wouldn't be the same to me, and I don't really support cloning. Do you plan to own a home or rent an apartment for most of your life? I'd like to own a home eventually. Do you hate when people tell you to smile? It really depends on how they say it, but generally, yes.  Sometimes, you just can't force a sincere smile. Are there palm trees where you live? No. What do you think of foot tattoos?  I don't like them much. Do you take a lot of pictures of your pets? No, the camera on my phone is horrid. Do you think it is sweet when an elderly woman kisses you on the cheek?  It's kinda uncomfortable for me, and if I don't actually know the woman?  DO FUCKING NOT. Would you investigate the paranormal if you had the opportunity?  Fuck yes I would.  In most situations.  I gotta know about what's supposedly going on. Have you ever seen a coyote in real life?  Hm... maybe? If you could find the cure for any disease, which disease would it be? Alzheimer's.  As horrible as cancer is, we've learned how to beat many, but Alzheimer's... God, the decline is heart-wrenching.  I've seen it and it's one of the most inhumane fates life can deal someone. Do you think you will be married by the time you are 25?  It's a possibility. Do you know any TV shows’ theme songs by heart? Which ones? "That '70s Show," probably like a couple others that just aren't coming to me. What is the oldest gaming system you’ve ever played? Atari Did you get ice cream from the ice cream truck when you were little? Do they still have an ice cream truck where you live?  We did occasionally.  Don't have one here. In your opinion, which hurts more: physical or emotional pain? EMOTIONAL. Do you like people who are very expressive of how much they like you or do you like people who are more quiet and mysterious?  I pretty much have to have someone expressive because I need to know they like me.  I need to see it. What type of humor do you like in a person? Is it a deal-breaker for you if the other person doesn’t share a similar sense of humor?  I appreciate all senses of humor other than ones that are just plain offensive or excessively raunchy. How important is religion and spiritual beliefs when it comes to dating?  I'm open to dating people of other religions (or no religion) so long as it's not Satanism or a religion that believes one gender is greater than the other. Do you ever go shopping with your parents (not including grocery shopping)? Well yeah, I don't shop alone.  Can't get there. Have you ever had food poisoning before? Describe the experience.  No, thank goodness. What do your parents think about piercings and tattoos? Do you agree with them? Neither of them are against them, and I'm the same.  I love them. Are you CPR certified?  No. What was the last video game you played?  "Alien: Isolation." Have you ever touched a shark?  No. What is your personal feelings on manners?  Pretty important. Would you ever take in an animal with special needs?  Sure, but it obviously depends on the animal and if I could afford taking care of it. Do you ever feel judged on something you can’t control?  OH  B O Y  DO I Are you friends with your best friend’s ex?  No. Have you ever kissed two people in one night?  No. Do you ever pay attention to couples and if they look good together or if they look weird together?  No?  Someone's relationship, whether it "looks" good or not, isn't my business. Do you often take painkillers?  Not often, but usually when I have a headache. Have you ever had feelings for 2 people at the same time?  I'm not sure...  I've been confused about how I've felt about people before, but I've never had like, intense feelings for two people. Would you live with someone without marrying them?  If the plan was to eventually get married, yes. What is your favorite flavor of Skittles? Red. Have you ever been on vacation with someone other than your family? Yes. What cartoons/anime do you actually like, if you like any at all?  Both "Fullmetal Alchemist" versions, "Deadman Wonderland," "Pokemon" (I've only seen the shows from the first two generations tho), uhhh... Have you used Limewire before?  Ha ha I remember that.  Yeah. Do you like salted or sweetened popcorn, if any?  Salted, sweet is ew. Do you prefer aquatic creatures or flying (water or air)?  Aquatic. What animals are only native to your continent/country?  Bison? Do you prefer classical music or jazz?  Jazz. What part of your body has been injured the most?  My legs. What food’s smell makes you feel physically sick?  Hmmmm.  Can't think of one off the top of my head. How many times a week do you shower? Four, usually. Are you happy with your relationship status?  Y E A H What colors would you like to have at your wedding?  Black and white, probs. Did you see the movie "Avatar?" I saw some of it while on vacation with a friend. Does your front door squeak when it opens?  Uhhh I don't believe so. Have you ever found out that one of your parents was cheating?  Supposedly Dad did, but quite frankly, I don't know if I believe Mom.  She's lied a shit ton about Dad out of spite. Who introduced you to the band you love?  Ozzy, Metallica, Korn, and Manson: Mom.  Cradle of Filth, found them myself.  A Day to Remember: Jason.  Rammstein: Guitar Hero, lmao. Do you look like your siblings? Kinda, but not all that much, save for hair.  Ashley and Nicole look way more alike. What do you think of teenagers getting married? Uh, no.  You need more time to mature. Are you afraid of being rejected?  You have no fucking idea.  Mind you, not just in a romantic way. Can you introduce yourself to a new person easily? HELL NO. How many girlfriends/boyfriends have told you they love you?  Three.  One was full of absolute shit. Has anyone ever told you they wanted to marry you? Yeah. Have you ever had to have surgery before? What was this for?  Twice.  First to put tubes in my ears when I was two, a second for a cyst this year. What is your orientation? Gay? Straight? Metrosexual? Anything other? Bisexual, but gradually realizing I think I actually like girls more.  Funny because I originally thought I liked guys more. @_@ Who was the last person close to you, that died? Did you cry?  No one exceptionally close to me has died, but the last person I was at least acquainted with was a woman I met at the hospital.
