I moved recently to start a new job and part of my commute now involves one of those high capacity toll booths where a two lane road suddenly flares out into 5-7 lanes of total anarchy with no lines anywhere, and then narrows back down to two lanes again, and we're just supposed to sort ourselves out? Who designed this

friends this was so upsetting, right so i went to the comic store a couple of days ago to check out their manga section as usual and, if you can believe it, despite no announcement or message that would cause me to think otherwise, they still didn't have mahoako on the shelves

When you think you might have bombed an interview and won’t get a job just keep this in mind;

I forgot to mention doing vital signs on a patient who in a scenario is having a heart attack. Vital signs is the one thing you start off with for any patient who is in a possible medical emergency.

I was just offered the job I applied for. They are sending me a letter of offer once they confirm my start date (as it is an internal transfer).

You didn’t do as badly as you thought. Everything works out in the end.

Finally, on Friday night, after my last day of work where I had to get up at 6:45 every day (and 6:30 if I didn’t want to be late), I am in bed by 10:30

fuckin. i thought i was done with the "agonizing over career choices" part of job hunting when i submitted a resume, but out of goddamn nowhere another apprenticeship opportunity has fallen right into my lap. with applications closing tomorrow. so now on this day when i am so very exhausted i have been launched straight into the incredibly stressful business of asking myself what i want. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Quick update and a positive one; after tonight and tomorrow's shift I'll have over a week off work and tons of time to catch up with writing! I've worked so much since the start of November that I've accrued time off so I've got one week this month plus two additional days and another week off at the start of February!

finished 2 summer internships

moved once

worked my on-again off-again job the four days between moves

finished up & submitted 10 apps in that time span!! i am so poor now!! wrote like 8k in personal statements and essays and edited more than that!!!

moved again

mandatory training before work for fall & spring job

Insanity) and i worked a lot in september and i'm getting that money on the 15th so while my account balance looks insane rn due to, you know, buying a place, i'm not gonna run out of money
