Finishing a Fanfic Series

Whuff. It's done. Two book-length fanfics in a rarepair in a dying fandom, set in an era that required months of research. Four years. And I enjoyed it, truly I did, because my beta reader had a blast with it. Many readers gave wonderful comments and I reaped almost as many kudos as chapters. Thank you, thank you all.

I learned so many things - the simplicity of pubbing on AO3, the bizarre ritual of pubbing on ff.net (but I had many more readers there, and someday I will think about the different audiences) and the joy of interacting with commenters.

I'm tired and wrung out. I will rest a bit. And then what? It's a little like leaving a job or graduating from a school; what next?

Enjoy myself. Wait for spring.

jimmy solidarity doesn't die first? okay. instantly, someone is dropped to yellow, a wither AND a warden are set loose on the surface, two out of three red names permadie, multiple people lose lives in the ensuing battle, the ground is torn up, animals die, it looks like an apocalypse event happened at spawn, and martyn inthelittlewood (arguably one of the scariest people on the server) starts a villain arc.

maybe jimmy should keep dying first. this is literally the ending of life is strange.

my second pass at a sonadow fankid. this time, it's a little more serious than the looney tune that is dawn lol.

this is 3. he was created by tails in an effort to develop the "ultimate defense system."

basically, tails was thinking back on how, during the forces war, eggman was able to conquer the world when sonic and shadow weren't around. and, well, he got a little worked up remembering that! he got mad! yeah--real mad!

so, tails did what all great minds do when they get mad, and he conducted some... let's say... unethical science experiments.

Bridgerton is one of my comfort shows mostly bc I think its so funny that the Bridgerton family is just the worst they're all deeply unlikeable insufferable people and watching each of them find love despite how utterly horrible they all are gives me hope

Honestly the fact that they fit three distinct combats on top of plenty of character and story progression into the episode before 11pm was a really strong argument out of the gate for Daggerheart as a system for streaming. That was super neat, not gonna lie.
