I moved recently to start a new job and part of my commute now involves one of those high capacity toll booths where a two lane road suddenly flares out into 5-7 lanes of total anarchy with no lines anywhere, and then narrows back down to two lanes again, and we're just supposed to sort ourselves out? Who designed this
anyway I dreamed up this helpful anatomical guide on the drive home

Waves are Calling pt.2
***Kicking off the spooky season with Pt. 2 of Yandere Grand Admiral Levi! I hope you all are as excited for this as I am 🥰 Thank you for the support! And a special thank you to the Hive Discord for being my Beta readers and always being there for me to bounce ideas around with! -BW***
Summary: The now captured Siren!MC must adjust to their new home in the House of Lamentation. The land dweller has left them alone and now its just them and whatever else lurks in these strange halls.
Part 1
CW: Yandere behaviour/possessiveness, violence, slight gore
A small goldfish glared at you from across the room in a 40 gallon fish tank.
You found that insulting more than anything.
The fact that this small, insolent pet had the gull to glare at you for taking over what was, assumably, once its home as though it was something you had happily chosen.
Never mind the fact that you had been cowering in the farthest possible corner since being dragged away from your home, gagged and thrown here.
The land dweller hadn't shown his stupid face since imprisoning you, which was quite honestly even more insulting than the gold fish.
At least the gold fish was there for you to express your mutual hatred of each other.
All the land dweller had done was nearly suffocate you from keeping you out of the water for so long as he sailed with you on his ship, and then ran through a house with you over his shoulder at nearly break neck speed before tossing you in a giant tank and barking at you to stay quiet.
He truly is such a charmer.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
You flinched back at the sudden noise, drawing closer into yourself as the resonating knocks filled the room once more.
Why would the land dweller knock on his own door? Was there someone else that lived in this hell hole as well? The land dweller didn't seem like the type to make friends which meant-
A small scratching noise came from the other side of the door and your breath hitched through your gills.
Someone was breaking in.
You frantically looked around the tank for anything to defend yourself. But all that laid were stupid painted pebbles and the occasional plant.
Having no other choice, you dove behind one of the stalks of java fern.
A low cackle filled the room as the door creaked open. "Gotta get better locks, Levi," an accented voice snickered. "Now, let's see what ya got for the Great Mammon."
Muffled shuffles and mumbling filled the room as the intruder went through the land dweller's belongings. You got glimpses through the sea plants leaves of white hair and a brown coat.
The noises suddenly stopped as the man stood in front of the goldfish's tank.
"Henry?" he thought aloud. "The hell are you doin' out here when got the big tank just over-" you squeaked and ducked down as blue eyes swept over in your direction.
Your heart pounded with every heavy foot fall moving closer to you.
"Wh-What ..."
Tap. Tap. Tap.
You winced, squeezing your eyes shut as you tried to make yourself smaller.
"Oi!" The voice shouted from the other side of the glass. "I can see ya!"
You shook your head helplessly — there wasn't much else you could do in the situation except tremble and shake.
"Hey! Hey, stop with the whole shaking thing. You look like a kicked freaking puppy," you hesitantly cracked open an eye, peering up at the confused man before you. His eyebrows were narrowed, and a frown dug at the corners of his lips, but unlike the other land dweller his eyes seemed to gleam in a sympathetic curiosity more than anything.
Cerulean eyes widened as your gazes finally locked, and for a second he almost looked flushed. "Woah," he breathed as he pressed a hand against the glass. "What are you?"
You lifted your chin, showing the man the rest of your face as you pointed the gag firmly fixed onto your face.
The man's nose scrunched up as he shook his head. "What the fuck? The hell is Levi up to?" He shook his head and made his way over to the small step ladder that stood beside the tank. "Come over here, Fish Stick."
Yeah, no way that was happening.
You narrowed your eyes at the man and flicked your tail in annoyance.
He snorted and shook his head. "Ya can throw a fit and glare at me all ya want, but that ain't gonna get the gag off ya," he smirked as he proudly gestured to himself. "Let good old Mammon help ya out so we can chat, yeah?"
You didn't exactly want to chat, but that stupid gag was digging into the corners of your mouth and was extremely uncomfortable. With another warning thump your tail, you cautiously swam over to Mammon and allowed your head to break the surface.
His breath audibly hitched as he looked down at you, "Oh," he whispered, his eyes scanning the scales dotting you cheeks and gills extending down your neck. "You're somethin' else, Fishie."
He nearly fell off the ladder as you splashed him.
"OI!" He shouted as he regained his balance. "I'm the one tryin' to help ya! Knock it off!"
You glowered at him from beneath your gag and finally moved close enough for him to reach you.
With a heavy sigh, he reach behind your head and got to work on the mechanism keeping you silent. "Fucking hell," he cursed as his arms flexed. "And here I thought Levi took good care of his pets," he paused and looked down at you. "Not that you're a pet. I mean, you could be. You do have a tail. But so does Levi sometimes. A different tail tough. His is a snake, while yours is like a gold fish or somethin'. I'm still working out what exactly you are. Never seen anythin' like ya before."
You blocked out his words, your shoulders sagging in relief as the gag was finally removed and you could stretch out your mouth.
Mammon smiled smugly at you as he swung the gag around his finger. "There! Now, don't ya have somethin' to say to your saviour?"
You smiled sweetly at him and nodded your head as you leaned in close.
The walls shook and Mammon flew off the ladder as a sonic screech burst from your mouth.
The man writhed on the ground clutching his ears as you continued screaming. You knew it wouldn't do anything. It wouldn't bring you back to the sea or break you out of this prison, but it felt damn good.
The door to the room broke open as a tall man with raven-like wings stood threateningly. His eyes snapped from Mammon struggling on the ground to you.
He faltered only for a second before, faster than you could comprehend, he lunged forward and wrapped his hand around your throat. You choked as your gills were blocked off, hissing violently as you scratched the gloved hands stopping your air supply.
"What," he growled, glaring deeply at you. "in the seven circles is a siren doing here?"
Mammon panted on the ground as he finally sat up. "I-Is that what they are?" he cursed as he brought a hand tenderly to his ears. "Fuck, I think my ears are bleeding."
His ears were, in fact, bleeding.
You smiled as the crimson began to stain his hair pink. The hand around your throat grew tighter. The edge of the tank dug sharply into your torso as he pulled you down. "Do you think this is funny?" he spat. "Your kind isn't even meant to be in existence, and yet I find you here attacking my family."
Your tail whacked harshly against the glass on instinct, trying desperately to hit the man hurting you.
Suddenly the myths and legends surrounding your ancestors and their death made sense. It wasn't that you were naturally violent and sought to kill and maim land dwellers — it was that they gave you no choice but to lash out in defense.
You could speak no words, sing no notes, as only wheezes made it past your lips.
"Woah, woah, calm down," Mammon weakly rose to his feet and grabbed onto the man's jacket. "Let's think about this! What do we gain from killing them?"
The man scoffed as his crimson glare hardened. "Use your head, this thing almost killed you."
Mammon yanked on the man's arms — his grip didn't even budge — "Yeah! You do that all the time! But do ya know what ya never give me? Money! Do ya know how much people would pay to actually get to hear a siren sing?! And then we could get them to charm the crowd into giving us even more money! So just calm down and-"
"You've got five seconds to get your greedy hands off my siren before I summon Lotan," everyone froze as a familiar, near-feral growl came from the door.
Orange eyes burned through the back-lit shadow of Leviathan.
For once, his fire-filled glare wasn't fixed on you, but on the two men in front of you. He stepped over his fallen door with slow precise steps. "I won't ask twice. Let them go, Lucifer."
Lucifer didn't move. "They nearly killed Mammon," he spat.
Leviathan cocked an eyebrow as he glanced over at his brother. "Considering their gag is now off, he was asking for it. They couldn't have removed it on their own. Now let them go. They're mine."
Mammon frowned deeply, "What do you mean they're yours? How the hell did ya even get them here?"
"I'm wondering that myself," Lucifer sniped. "Sirens aren't exactly easy to find. They were believed to be extinct entirely."
Leviathan's face shifted ever so slightly from furious rage to manic excitement. "I know right? It's fate! They've been playing with Lotan for months without me even knowing. I finally decided to follow him to see what he's been up to and there they were! Their tail was sparkling brighter than any of Mammon's jewels and their voice-" he sighed happily as his eyes drifted over to you. "I knew they were meant to be mine. So I brought them where they belong — home."
Shivers ran down your spine at the pure content in his voice.
Mammon's jaw dropped, "And you just swiped them?! What about their scream? How are you not dead?"
Leviathan chuckled as he moved over to the three of you. "Oh they tried. I think several of my crew members had their ear drums combust from when we tried bringing them on board — a pity really. But they're just a little guppy," he cooed as he caressed your face. You tried to flinch back, but were held firmly in place by Lucifer's hand. "Once I got that gag on them, they were practically useless. I was trying to get Solomon to come and cast a silencing spell on them so I can mute them as needed, but I was interrupted when I heard all of this coming from my room just as I was leaving the house."
His eye twitched as he looked to Lucifer. "You still haven't to release them."
He hummed as his cold gaze looked at you. You could see a sea of thoughts whirl behind his eyes in consideration. "I've yet to decide if you can actually keep them."
Inexplicable horror flooded your veins as the demon erupted into his demonic form. "I didn't ask for your permission! I found them in my territory! They're mine! My property! You can't take them!"
You whimpered, paying no mind to the tightening around your throat as you frantically tried to pull yourself away from the land dwellers.
A scoff came from Mammon as he eyed you. "Yeah. They don't look too pleased at that idea, Levi."
"BECAUSE YOU SCARED THEM!" He shouted. "Up until now, they had only screamed once because they were getting dried out and then sang a song to try to put Lotan asleep when he was holding them. They hadn't attacked!"
"Because you never gave me the chance," you thought.
"But then you two come in and you make everything worse! They're mine! It's my familiar that found them! They're in my colours, and in my territory, and are my property! You can't tell me what to do with them just because they're a siren. The only one who can touch them is ME!"
Leviathan charged at Lucifer, shoving him harshly away from you.
Claws tore through skin. Blood pooled on your tongue. The water around you stained red.
The words around you became muffled as you choked on your own tongue and you sunk back under the waves once more.
Your eyes met amber, as the land dweller looked at you in utter horror.
From there things became blurry. You knew there was a splash. You had weakly fought against arms around you. Coldness. Movement. Shouting.
It was all too much when all you could feel was the pain burning through your throat like an infernal fire.
And then there was nothing but blackness, darker than the deepest trenches of the seas — for the smallest of moments, you were free.
But freedom, as you learned, is temporary.
You awoke with a splitting headache and a tightness around your throat. There was a heavy warmth coiled around you that you couldn't help but nuzzle into.
Scales brushed against your skin, and your memories came crashing down onto you.
Your eyes snapped open — serpentine eyes stared curiously down at you from a long teal snout.
A strange whine came from the sea beast, bubbles spewing from his maw, as he leaned forward and butted his head against you.
You stared into the beast's amber eyes - so similar to those of his master's — and saw nothing but the fondness that had been there since that first meeting you had with him. It hurt to think this was the same monster that had damned you to a life of imprisonment.
You gently pushed the snake's head away and parted your mouth to shoo him away.
The serpent tilted his head as your lips silently opened and closed at him.
Your heart stopped in your chest. You shakily brought a hand to your throat, feeling thin fabric scratch beneath your fingers, as you delicately applied pressure to the center of your throat and tried again.
Only bubbles spilled from your lips.
"I wouldn't do that," your mouth gaped in a silent scream as you whipped around.
Standing on the other side of the glass of the godforsaken tank, was Leviathan. There were bags under his eyes and his skin looked paler than you had remembered, but with the creepily pleased smile on his face, there was no doubting it was him.
"For a while there, I was afraid you weren't going to wake up," he admitted as he leaned back against the tub. "But here you are! Awake and alive, albeit with a minor ... complication," he gestured to his own neck. "I had Solomon do the best he could, but Lucifer's stupid claws had done too much damage — your voice was the sacrifice that had to be paid in the battle for your life."
Tears welled in your eyes as the demon confirmed your fears — no voice. No more singing. The one true joy that you had left now stripped from you.
Leviathan softly shushed you as he moved forward and placed his palm on the glass. "Hey, hey. None of that. It's alright! It's a good thing actually!" His eyes sparked while is grin curled into something that curdled your stomach. Dread consumed you as Lotan held you tightly against himself. "Now Lotan and I are the only people to have ever heard your beautiful voice. Your song is ours, and ours alone. Just as it should be."
***And that's a wrap! Thank you all for kicking off the spooky season with me! I hope you enjoyed the lovely yandere Levi and Siren MC in all their glory! Thanks again for all the love and support from you guys. You all truly amaze me each and every day. Love you! -B***

Hey fishblr, so I've determined I think I have an outbreak of ich - in my introduced tetra. Not entirely sure it's 'stress ich' or ich that gained hold BECAUSE of stress - the spots are slowly increasing in some of the fish but it did not start in the gills like typical ich: I don't see any frequently going for oxygen at the surface.
I've read about running the tank at a warmer temp like 30°C/86°F, but I have a L183 Starlight Bristlenose in there (she's fine, far as I can tell, don't see any 'itchy' behaviour. Also she's covered in spots anyway so it'd be hard to tell) - although I've seen temp values vary wildly, highest I've seen is 28°C/82°F so I am not comfortable running the tank that hot, even for two weeks.
If I do treat it, it'll be the whole tank given the Pleco was sharing the same tank AS these tetra in the first place, just bought a week-ish apart. Problem is this tank also contains Ninja Shrimp and a lot of plants that I don't want to kill. They're just getting established.
Points for it being 'Stress Ich' (if that's real, hard to tell based on my cursory search): Behaviour wise the fish are fine now. Better than fine actually, they've adjusted super fast to the new tank, all out exploring and not always schooling so they clearly feel comfortable (which given they're green neons and everything says they're shy - real good actually). All energetic, not lethargic and probably wouldn't be able to tell they had ich without looking closely at them. Tank also seems bombproof stable with the amount of plants I have, and I have a external temp controlled thermostat monitoring the tank temp along with the internal thermostat of the heater itself so it's running at a constant 25-26°C/77-78°F (switches on at the lower end, shuts off at the upper, and it's a very slow heater on purpose).
Honestly I think they're just happy to be in a tank 3-4 times bigger than the display shoebox they were in with no cover at all. They have a jungle now with lots of microfauna and biofilm to pick at. So it's likely stress of netting/transition. I have been doing tank maint daily, but it's very sparing and I move slow - more to get them used to me messing around in there. Yesterday they followed around my cleaning magnet so I think they're not too fussed.
So uh ... treatment suggestions? I live in Australia btw so some products might not be available for me.

I am excited about a thing so now yall get to hear about it and suffer
Even if this is totally random and off topic
I got a new light for my fish tank and it has a built in timer to turn it on and off right?! It's my first one with a timer because I got super duper tired of trying to do it manually because I work weird hours cause health care :P
And honestly I feel *pampered* this thing is better then my 40 dollar light it has adjustable dimness settings a timer how much of each color shade even blue light.
And it gently turns on and off on its cycle!
It also makes my plants look *gorgeous*
Ok that actually sounds good

FFXIV Write, Day 26 - Last
I am the Bad Wolf.
Contains spoilers for patch 6.0, Endwalker, and the Dark Knight quests of Final Fantasy XIV. Events are adjusted for ease of narration. Some dialogue is borrowed from in game.
CW: Mental Health
-----
(The Knightly Mother) It is done. At the end of all things, it is finally done. Zenos yae Galvus breathes no more.
(The Royal Volunteer) Last one standing, alright, lads! Good damned riddance comin' from all a' us, I say. Right bastard put up a hell of a fight, but we did the same, didn't we? All that trainin' paid off. I think this dark knight, Greene Knight, whatever ye want to call it business, we got it figured out. Can't wait to get back to home and…oh, hells. We're hurtin' again.
Hey! Artist! The hell's goin' on with us?
(The Artist) We just fought one of the most powerful Garleans in existence, what do you think? I'm doing everything I can to keep her stabilised. Good news, she's a lot more tough than she used to be. Bad news, I can't see a way home. Nothing but emptiness.
(The Royal Volunteer) No shite we're tough, we're the bloody Warrior of Light and a bloody tank, too. You know our job is to be at the center a' things, man. An' another thing, I- What's that you said? Nothing?
(The Artist) No stars, nothing. Just us and him, and he's dying. Wait. Someone else. A…girl? There's a girl, dressed in blue, and she's got feathers? She's walking towards us.
(Steel Queen) I can detect no weapons on their person. No threat in the immediate area.
(The Artist) Thank you, that's very helpful.
(Steel Queen) Sarcasm detected.
(The Artist) I am beyond getting baited into banter with you, Queen.
-----
(Meteion) Greetings, you who are my final encounter. I wish to hear your words. Share your feelings. Know your thoughts.
May we please…be friends?
In all but a moment, the familiar known as Meteion felt herself become engulfed by a great rush of water. It wasn't scary, not at all - the water was quite nice, and the sun shone so bright! It was almost like dipping her feet into a pool with the ambystomas Hythlodaeus enjoyed so much.
Come towards the light, beautiful bird. We are waiting for you, came the warm whisper of a fiery ballerina.
Quick as a frilled fish, Meteion rose to the surface of the water and, by the magic of dreams and thought, flew to cloudless azure skies.
What beautiful sights awaited her, below. Soaring mountains, verdant forests, cities both tall and wide. Rivers and seas, and islands, and-!
This is Etheirys, our home, and yours, a noble knight's voice whispered.
A long journey we've had, on this mudball of a planet. Sadness, and joy, and hope. We've had it all, whispered the gruff voice of a soldier.
(Meteion) So many people… The thoughts of them overflowing in your heart…What they live for, what gives their lives meaning. There was never a single answer.
Variable, unable to be quantified, stated a metallic queen's voice matter-of-factly. Life is precious. A resource to be treasured.
(Meteion) Thank you for guiding me here. To find these words at journey's end fills me with joy.
We are the Choir. We are Ourself. We are a gift from Hydaelyn that weighs heavily, and yet, as it should, whispered a warrior with honor in their heart. To know us is to know The Mother Crystal. We are the voices that speak with no sound. We love, we weep, we toil, we live. We live.
(Meteion) If you would allow it, I would sing one last song. A song of the newfound joy that swells in my heart. A song of hope.
(The Knightly Mother) Take my hands and sing with us, dear child. Let me hold you as I once did my daughter, if you will let me.
(Meteion) Yes, I would like that.
Somewhere, high up in the golden heavens of thought, Herme's familiar sang a song of creation, flanked by a whole masked Chorus.
-----
"Are you…are you with us? Thank the heavens, she's alive!"

Just daydreaming a bit about my future fish plans.
For context the largest tank I’m comfortable with while I’m still renting (just due to portability + my other animals already taking up a lot of real estate) is a 20 long (30x12x12 inches)
Open to anyone’s input or other suggestions, but this is a “probably not until close to the end of 2023, if it even happens this year at all” type thing. I’ve got a lot of upgrades, improvements, and so on planned first and priority is given to having space for foster animals at the rescue versus new permanent animals.
Option 1: Domestic betta
Obviously the classic. I am very familiar with them & their care having kept them for years previously. Pros: A 20 long is suitable for them, they are available for rehoming fairly regularly, I know they’re a species I’ve enjoyed keeping. Cons: health, I don’t know any breeders with husbandry I am comfortable with nor would I want to purchase from a pet store (but my friends who work at pet stores occasionally adopt out special needs bettas for free/discounted which I am open to)
Option 2: Betta mahachaiensis
Another species I’ve kept before that will do well in my water parameters without much adjusting. I’m not interested in any peat specialists. Pros: I’ve kept this species before and know I enjoy them. Cons: Will likely need to have it shipped to me, a little more expensive. Hybrids being sold as purebred are common.
Option 3: Metallic livebearers (Girardinus metallicus)
I’ve also kept this species and really really loved them. A 20 long is the minimum I’d recommend for them however like all livebearers I’ll need to be mindful of overcrowding and may need to regularly sell some. This causes an issue with finding an appropriate home for them. Pros: I adore this species, they’re pretty simple to care for. Cons: potential for overbreeding, plus I’d really rather have a 40 breeder for them
Option 4: White cloud mountain minnows (Tanichthys albonubes)
I’ve never kept this species but always liked them. Pros: a bit smaller than metallics, not as easy to breed as livebearers either. Common and easy to find. Cons: quite active. I’d also really rather have a 40 breeder for this species. Potential for overbreeding though less likely
Option 5: Golden wonder killifish (Aplocheilus lineatus)
Never owned, always loved. Pros: pretty easy to find. not very fussy. Cons: I’ve seen some debate over whether they’re best kept solitary or socially and haven’t looked into it enough to form an opinion. Socially they’d be pushing it for a 20 long or too big for a 20 long depending on what group size is best.
Option 6: African dwarf frogs (Hymenochirus boettgeri)
I love frogs. These guys are teeny and adorable and satisfy both my desire for an aquarium and my desire for more frogs. Pros: easy to find, nkt exceptionally demanding, do well in small groups in a 20 long. Cons: Risky if ordered online as can sometimes be confused with young clawed frogs. Not a fish and I am really wanting a fish.
So far leaning towards either domestic betta or ADF. I am ONLY interested in a species only tank.

Part five
I escaped right? Nope, if I did I wouldn't be writing anymore then I am now. But no, I just had to get caught again.
After a few hours on the boat we both realized we didn't have any food. None, nada, zip, zero. So we pulled the maps out on our phones. We had to steer towards land to get food or we would starve as it was a tiny boat without a kitchen. So it's not like we could fish up our food. That's when I heard a dreaded sound. Motors, not just any motors, the Turtle Tank's motors. I told Lily to hide but she stayed firm with me. So we both hid in the small room with the steering wheel as it was the only place to hide. We stopped all noise as we heard the Turtle Tank latch itself to our tiny boat. I cover my mouth trying to calm myself down. Just then we heard footsteps and Leo loudly calling out for me. Lily squeezed my hand as I started to hyperventilate. I'm scared, no beyond scared, terrified. I knew they would find us but I had hoped it would be a lot later. Like after I disguised myself until I was unrecognizable. Or maybe even just a week later. I stopped breathing when I heard footsteps right outside the door. I felt Lily's hand tense up and she looked at me. All she does is smile and let go of my hand before the door is smashed open. I pulled my hand back as fast as I could. I peered up at the perpetrator and it surprisingly was Mikey. He scanned the room briefly before spotting me. His frown quickly turned into a smile as he scooped me up from my hiding place. He held me by adjusting my arms to my chest and legs wrapped around his waist. I tried punching and kicking but it didn't do anything to the strong turtle as he whisked me out of the small shelter. I watched from over his shoulder as Raph went and grabbed Lily, careful to not hurt her. Lily kicked and hit but just kept hurting herself on his hard shell. We were then promptly thrown into the Turtle Tank. Raph was steering with Mikey giving directions and so Donnie just hugged me tight as Leo kept Lily from trying to fight her way out. I was just too tired, I needed sleep. And the embrace from Donnie was not helping. I leaned my head on Donnie's shoulder and felt myself fall asleep. Maybe I should have eaten breakfast that morning. Or at the very least taken food onto the ship.
I woke up back in the room, cuddling the four turtles. I tried to squeeze out but it was a fruitless endeavor. They had surrounded me in blankets so as to not hurt me as they slept. I felt something around my neck and I realized it was the choker I had thrown off earlier. I tried undoing the back but it was molded shut. Looking up at the clock the time read six forty-seven. I would assume pm as I don't believe I was too painfully tired to sleep till the next day. Leo popped his head up to look at me and smiled. "Man you are quite the hassle, I had to call in a favor to a news station I know to find you." I'm still a bit groggy so I quip, "it was definitely worth watching you slam your face into the ground." Leo's smile disappears and is replaced with a malicious smirk. "You know," he sits up pushing Mikey's leg off of his back, "the favor I have to do in return was to bring you in for an interview." My body felt numb, another interview and along with Leo. Hell. No. "Absolutely not, and if I do I will expose you guys for what you are doing." Leo is still smirking at me like he knows a secret. It's unnerving, unsettling even. "Well you could try that, but who will believe you? Maybe your family and the people you work with. But that's about it, everyone else would believe me. I mean who wouldn't when you're this handsome." He does a weird pose as he delivers the last line. I start to cry when I think about all the people I don't get to see anymore. Man he's good at hurting me in the places I didn't know I could be hurt. Leo pulls me and one of the blankets out of the cuddle pile. Wrapping the blanket around me like a tight burrito. He then starts to princess carry me out of the room and into the living room. Turning on his favorite movie he forces me to cuddle with him. If I was even a little bit as strong as him I could probably get out. But I wasn't, so I was trapped in the uncomfortable embrace. He laid his forehead on my shoulder as I shuddered. He started laughing at nothing and I got a bit scared. Leo pulled his head up and instead rested his chin where his forehead once was.
"You really are just like what I imagined a sister to be like. Well a bit less clingy now, but still just how I imagined." He had a soft smile on his face. I looked down at him with my eyes. "What about Piebald? She's technically your sister, at least more than me." Leo rolled his eyes, "Piebald is great and all but after she got mutated she was more like an annoying older sister that moved out of the house as soon as she could." He gazed up at me hugging me tighter. "You are like a younger sister who just needs to be protected and just loves all of us." I stared at the stranger I once called my friend. "Not anymore…" I grumbled moving my head a bit to stop the aching in my neck. Leo looked unfazed by my words and just nuzzled his face into my neck, churring up a storm. I did try to move my body away but despite the loosened hug I still couldn't budge. Eventually I got my arms out of the blanket and tried pushing him away. But I guess he took it the wrong way and his grasp tightened only now with me turned around to face behind him, my arms wrapped around to his back. I knew not to hit his shell because I would just hurt myself. I saw Donnie sneak out of the room we were in and hurry up to his lab. I stayed in the position for the rest of the movie not being able to move.
Raph came out and asked "Hey Leo can I have a turn with her. She hasn't eaten since yesterday." Leo looked at his phone and agreed, handing me off to Raph like I was some sort of doll. At least that's what they have been treating me like. A doll they can do whatever they like with. As Raph brought me to the kitchen I noticed a new modified chair. Raph puts me down in the chair and it immediately has a piece of metal trap my waist to the chair. "Cool right? Donnie made this last week. He even made sure it wasn't too tight to hurt you." Before I could even say something he had already started making food. I did try to move the chair but after a bit I just assumed it was bolted to the ground. It felt humiliating, like I was in a child's booster seat. As Raph was preparing whatever my brain drifted to thoughts about Lily. Like was she ok? What happened to her after I fell asleep? And I needed to take a shower, I smelt awful. I'll ask Mikey about Lily as he doesn't lie to me. I know all of his signs of lying so lying is useless for him. But I do need to ask about a shower. Sounds dumb but I was trying to keep myself sane somehow. Raph put a plate of leftover pizza in front of me. "Sorry it's nothing fancy. Ol Raph here can't cook so I just threw something in the microwave." He scratched his neck as I decided to take a bite. If I didn't eat I wouldn't have any strength to escape. So no matter how badly I wanted to stop eating I knew I had to persist. Raph grinned as he walked away with the empty plate. I had to stop myself from throwing up what I just ate. Putting a hand over my mouth, I repeated in my head the message of survival. I had it under control by the time Raph finished cleaning the dish. "Can I take a shower? I haven't been able to and I probably smell bad." I asked nervously, but he just nodded. He then pushed a button on the back of the chair and I was released.
He scooped me off the chair and carried me to the bathroom that was apparently connected to the prison room. This was another room that was also exactly replicated to look like one of my apartment's rooms. But with an added twist it had a door connected to my room and I could lock these doors from the inside. A plan started formulating in my head as I grabbed clothes from my closet. I noticed the boxes again and resolved to ask about them. I locked the door connected to the room I just left and the door I had originally entered from. I could tell Raph was waiting outside the bathroom just in case I tried making a run for it. I took a shower and promptly got dressed. Knocking on the door Raph was standing guard, to let him know I was done. When I unlocked the door and opened it I was surprised to no longer see Raph but Donnie in his place. He waved at me and ushered me to my 'room'. "I have an amazing device I wanted you to test out. But unfortunately you have to be confined here until further notice. Segway, there are a few boxes in your closet I would like you to open." I just stared at him confused with his chipper tone. This is Mr. Bad Boy after all. I walked over to the closet and brought out four boxes. They differentiate in sizes but the boxes are all identical. I sit down on the bed and Donnie joins me, sitting right dab next to me. Stimming in excitement as I open up the first, smallest box.
I pulled out a tiny computer chip. Donnie couldn't hold his excitement anymore and started to ramble about the chip. "It's state of the art, I put a lot of thought into this gift. This chip or so we will call it can be placed in anything and will hook you, or whoever has the device, up to my very own Donnie Net." He grins proudly expecting questions. But I don't give him any and move onto the next, wider box. Inside is my very own Donnie arm tech thingy. He again starts spouting about this device. "I replaced my very own splendid device to make you one of your own. You put the chip inside and it works like science. Try it out if you would." I obliged to the demand and pushed a small button where a compartment opened up and inserted the chip. I closed the compartment and the screen on the gauntlet showed a soft pink hue. I put the device down and opened the next box. I pulled out a drawing pad and some specially made pencils. Donnie isn't as ecstatic about this one but still goes on a rant. "Because you like to draw with Mikey I figured you would like a device to sketch to your heart's desire. It's not the best thing I've made for you but it was one of them. Now open the last present." I again let myself follow Donnie's demands and opened the final, biggest box. Inside was a pair of noise canceling headphones, a few chargers, and a simple dress.
The dress confused me so it was the first thing I took out. I examined it for a bit. It was a purple dress with ruffled sleeves hung off the shoulders. Nothing too fancy and I just stared at the mad genius in complete utter confusion. Donnie looked back at me with the exact same look on his face. "Care to explain this masterpiece of yours?" I asked, kind of holding the dress up at him. "It's just a nice purple dress I found." He shrugged at me. I then pull out the headphones and he goes off again. "Oh those are completely soundproof, plus bonus, they are wireless headphones meaning you can listen to music whenever you want. I do believe I put all the chargers necessary in that box too." I grabbed the wires out as well. I then stack the now empty boxes into each other. "Here give me your dominant hand," Donnie says as he holds out his own three fingered hand. I place my right arm in his hand and he places the gauntlet on my arm. It's a bit loose near the bottom so he messes around with it for a bit until it fits. "Is that comfortable or do I need to loosen it for you?" He asked as I started touching the screen. "It fits perfectly, you did an awesome job on this." I say in amazement, completely forgetting for a second that I was being held hostage here. A smile pops back on his face from the new validation. "I'll help you set it up so you can know how to make it function." Donnie beamed as he started explaining everything and anything about the device.
I eventually put the dress in the closet and all my other trinkets on chargers. Donnie had left to help Leo out with something. Leaving me on my own. Which allowed me to fully formulate my plan to escape. I know they probably have something to avoid me getting out of the bathroom. So I tried thinking of a better plan than locking both doors and hoping they choose a specific door. But then I heard some banging and definitely an explosion. I burst open the bathroom door to see what was wrong. Only to see an epic chase commencing. Donnie and Mikey were nowhere in sight. (I later found out they had been knocked out) And Raph was chasing Leo who was chasing a crazed Lily holding Leo's katanas above her head. I almost started laughing but decided to use this opportunity to grab some scissors and cut off the choker. Then right as the trio passed me I tripped Leo and ran with Lily. Both of the turtles fell and I yelled at Lily to give me one of the katanas. I then portaled us home safe and sound. "What the hell happened Lily!?" I asked in urgentsy. She is trying to catch her breath before she says anything. "I found Donnie's devices and somehow blew up part of his lab." She pauses still catching her breath. "Then I ran out of my confinement and found these two swords. So I grabbed them and started looking for you. Then Leo and Raph started chasing me around. Before I knew it you were running besides me and now we are here." She plops onto the floor still trying to breathe normally.

my snail is also like, best friends with my fish. taako (fish) follows barry (snail) around everywhere. barry goes on one side of the tank, taako follows. they literally are inseparable
Tumblr media
i am planning on introducing a frog to their tank maybe? it depends. i dont want to quite yet because barry is still adjusting (i got him last week) to living in the tank. also i might have to buy a new filter because dwarf frogs are really sensitive to higher setting filters.

More Deaf/Mute BakuShin because I’m ~procrastinating~, so for all my BakuShin followers this one’s for you :3
[Part 1] [Previous]
“What were you thinking?” Aizawa asks as Bakugou tries his best to remain passably passive. He fails miserably since he can’t keep his eye from twitching, and he knows Aizawa can see through him like glass, but he’s stubborn so he keeps up the cracked facade.
“You can’t keep roughing up other students just because you think they dislike you.” Mic pipes up from beside Aizawa, holding his glasses in one hand while the other rubs the bridge of his nose, presumably staving off a headache. Which totally isn’t Bakugou’s fault, thank you very much.
“I didn’t even touch him.”
“Yeah, well both Shinsou and Midoriya say otherwise.” He can’t hear Aizawa’s tone, but the way he sighs and adjusts his new scarf tells Bakugou that he seems disappointed rather than angry. “So try again. What were you thinking?”
Bakugou scoffs and rolls his eyes, catching a glimpse of Shinsou sitting at a desk beside the window, pointedly ignoring the confrontation in favor of looking outside. Why he’s even in Aizawa’s office right now doesn’t make sense. If he’s already blabbed about their little altercation then he could just leave.
“What, I can’t go talk to my assigned partner?” Bakugou says with as much sarcasm as he can muster. At least, what he remembers speaking sarcastically feels like.
“Talk, yes. Harass, no.”
“Then fine, let me do the assignment alone.”
“No.”
“Why not? Koda got to choose to work alone, why can’t I?”
“Bakugou.” Mic waves a hand between Bakugou and Aizawa to get his attention, his phone turned so that Bakugou can see his screen. “Watch this.”
He raises his brow questioningly at his teacher, but Mic simply raises the phone in answer, staring expectantly. After a moment, Bakugou finally caves and sighs before he reluctantly looks down at the phone and waits for Mic to press play.
He notices after the opening segment that this is the video from their group assignment, the one they’re meant to analyze and write a paper on. He looks up at Mic confused, but is redirected back down to the video.
A minute passes before Mic pauses the video and asks, “What do you think the narrator sounds like?” How the fuck should he know?
“I don’t know, bored? They’re just listing off different types of fish. If I had to do that I’d die of boredom.” Bakugou crosses his arms as he speaks, subconsciously feeling small when he realizes the issue. But he won’t acknowledge it himself, he’s sure Mic is about to.
He doesn’t, surprisingly. Or at least he’s distracted before he can. Before Mic, or even Aizawa, can discuss the video, both teachers turn their head to where Shinsou is sitting. Aizawa says something along the lines of, “Say that again,” but since part of his mouth is obscured by his scarf Bakugou can’t be sure. Either way, he follows suit so see what Shinsou decided was so important to interrupt with.
“He’s sad.” Shinsou catches Bakugou’s gaze for a second before he pointedly looks at only Mic and Aizawa. “The text transcript can be misinterpreted as a standard documentary, but the narration proves that the video is a call to action. They want people to realize how endangered some marine life is and how important they are to their ecosystem.”
Once he’s said his piece, Shinsou turns back to face the window, his finger tapping on the glass where a cat sits on the other side. That’s… kind of strange, and gets weirder when the cat nuzzles against the glass like they’re trying to get to Shinsou. But that’s none of his business either, so he reluctantly turns to face Mic and Aizawa, already knowing he’s fucked.
“Thank you, Shinsou. You’re free to go.” Aizawa says as he looks straight at Bakugou, no doubt waiting for his star pupil to leave before tearing Bakugou a new one. From the corner of his eye he watches Shinsou collect his things and walk out of the office, the cat jumping from the window’s outside ledge and disappearing in turn.
“Do you see now, Bakugou?” Mic puts his phone away and readjusts his glasses. “I made this a group project for the entire class because I’m making it a group project for you.”
“If I can’t work alone why can’t I just work with Deku, or… an actual interpreter?” Bakugou grimaces at his own words. At which part, he’s not quite sure of, but either option sounds terrible.
“Because Shinsou offered.” Mic says so nonchalantly that it takes Bakugou a minute to realize how off that sounds. Shinsou willing offered to help him? For what?
“Why the hell would he do that?” He says before he can stop himself, but he doesn’t have the energy to act ashamed for the slip up.
“Because, believe it or not Bakugou, some people just do kind things for the sake of being kind.” Aizawa says this time as he sits down in his office chair. Bakugou assumes that he sighs, because he seems to do that a lot when Bakugou is around.
“He figured you didn’t want an interpreter.” Mic says as he moves to stand more directly in front of Bakugou in the spot left vacant after Aizawa moved. “I actually considered giving you an alternative assignment, but he said that would make you feel pitied and we all know that’s the thing you hate most. So he offered to partner with you as long as the rest of the class was partnered as well.”
There’s so many things about this new information that ping as off in Bakugou’s mind. Like why was Koda still allowed to opt out? And since he did, is there another person working alone or a group of three? Who the hell was Kirishima paired with because Bakugou could have easily worked with him instead.
But most importantly, why the hell is Shinsou being nice to him?
“Now that you’re aware of the reason behind our decisions,” Aizawa says as he sits up in his chair and leans forward, placing his elbows on his desk and resting his head in his hands, “you’re going to go apologize to Shinsou and you’re going to complete this assignment together. No partner swaps, no more asking to work alone, just get it done and turn it in by the due date. Am I clear?”
Bakugou huffs and looks away as he mumbles a quiet, “Fine, whatever,” not even waiting for a proper dismissal before he stalks out of the office and down the hall. Guess he better go apologize or whatever. He’s not letting his grade tank because of this stupid assignment.

Cove x MC - One Shot #5 (request)
Tumblr media
[Read on google docs to insert your MC's name]
You blinked your eyes open and adjusted to the blearly blue scenery. Your eyes stung, but weeks of practice made the pain bearable. A fish the size of your head swam past you swiftly. You recognized it as Gerald, the parrotfish that you became well acquainted with these past few weeks. Your coworkers helped you come up with the name after realizing how attached he was to the divers. He had a rough scar across his forehead that helped distinguish him from the other fish.
Gerald was one of many fish that lived in the mermaid performance tank. A dimly lit room with space for 60 audience members held the massive circular tank. Cove Holden would stand among those 60 people during the show this afternoon. His presence in the audience induced a mixture of nerves and excitement within you. Three years ago you admitted your feelings to each other but there was still an air of uncertain awkwardness between you two. Despite that, you invited Cove to watch your first live performance today.
You looked at the waterproof stopwatch on your wrist. One minutes and 37 seconds. Your breath-holding record was almost five minutes. Growing up by the ocean gave you years of experience underwater, but the divers at the aquarium taught you techniques to extend your lung capacity. It was enough time to last through the entire four-minute performance.
You swam around the tank, propelled by your finned feet. The tank decorations made it feel like you were exploring the ocean floor. Schools of bright tropical fish populated the coral structures. A variety of colorful aquatic plants shot up from the sand. The previous part-time job you had couldn’t compare to this one. You felt at peace in the water, and more connected to Cove, who you still suspected was a real mermaid.
The pressure in your head increased and you knew it was time to surface for a breath. You checked the stopwatch as you ascended. Four minutes and 49 seconds. A new record. The air filled your lungs desperately when you broke the surface. You had plenty of time to continue practicing before the performance in four hours.
Four hours later
The chatter of a crowd filling the room triggered your nerves. The secret entrance to the mermaid tank hovered above the auditorium out of the audience’s sight. You stood between your two fellow mermaids, gripping the railing to maintain balance on finned feet. You took a deep breath and focused on the ethereal notes of the ocean lullaby.
The show’s director held up a hand to count down from three. Two. One. You followed the lead mermaid into the tank with a graceful dive. The splash of the third diver behind you was your cue to open your eyes. Once again, your sight adjusted underwater. You thrust downward with your fin and pulled up into a full loop. The guidelines for your performance were lax— as long as you executed the main tricks the show would be a success.
Finding Cove in the audience became your first goal. The visibility was low in the tank, but you couldn’t miss his seafoam green locks. He was also the tallest figure standing among a sea of small children. You swam towards his side of the tank, flapping your tail teasingly. As you drew nearer, the features on his face became discernable. The refracting light from the tank reflected beautifully on his ocean eyes. He stared at you adoringly, his mouth hung open.
You winked at him and swam swiftly to the center of the tank to avoid lingering in one spot. One of your mermaid companions held out her hands to you. In unison you held each other’s hands and pressed forward. Your faces met inches apart. She smiled at you sweetly as her long mane drifted around you. The intimacy made you blush, but your mind still drifted to Cove. You both pushed apart from each other into a smooth underwater backflip.
You swam a lap around the tank, waving to everyone in the crowd. The glowing amazement on the children’s faces filled you with warmth. Your pace slowed as you approached Cove. He stepped forward and pressed his hands against the glass. His red cheeks were unmistakable and he looked as captivated as the children on either side of him.
You thrust yourself backwards with your arms pointed above your head. Your core tightened as you performed the drill spin. The spiralling motion made you dizzy, but you recovered and stabilized. You couldn’t resist stealing another glance at Cove. His smile was wide, the childlike wonder apparent in his expression.
The final act on your list was the beloved mermaid kiss. You steadied yourself in front of Cove with your arms outstretched. His eyes widened and he moved his face closer, nose nearly touching the glass. You placed your palms on either side of your mouth and moved them into the shape of a heart while blowing air outward. The burst of bubbles formed into a heart that traveled to the glass in front of Cove. You could hear the faint sound of children squealing, but your eyes focused on Cove’s reaction. His blush deepened and he beamed at you.
Cove's expression sent butterflies to your stomach. His admiration was addicting, but the pressure felt unbearable. Your lungs needed air. You gave one final wave to the crowd and swam upwards to the dock. Your mermaid companions followed suit. The diving assistants helped the mermaids out of the water and into the locker rooms. Too focused on breathing, you all remained silent.
Your mind was racing with thoughts on how you performed and Cove’s perception of you as a mermaid. Earlier this morning you asked him to meet you outside the employee locker rooms after the show. You couldn't wait to hear his thoughts.
After the assistants helped you out of the tail you toweled off and changed into casual clothes. Your hair was still damp, but meeting with Cove was more important than looking presentable.
You bounded out of the locker room offering a quick farewell to your coworkers. The hallway stretched onward with no sign of Cove. You walked forward, hoping that he didn’t forget your plan to meet. As you turned the corner, an out of breath Cove halted in front of you.
Cove: Y/N!
You jumped backward, startled by his enthusiasm.
Cove: Oh my God, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.
Y/N: It’s okay! I thought you forgot…
Your eyes lowered from Cove’s face to his hands. He was holding a colorful faux coral figurine and a dolphin balloon. You met his gaze again, one eyebrow raised quizzically. He sighed and offered the treasures to you.
Cove: People usually give bouquets of flowers after a performance, but the gift shop didn’t have any.
You didn’t speak, stunned by his thoughtfulness, but accepted the gifts. Your heart was pounding. Cove continued nervously.
Cove: I know coral isn’t a flower, or even a plant, but it’s pretty, and your performance was pretty. It made sense in my head. I hope it’s not stupid.
You wanted Cove to continue rambling, but he stopped and waited for your reaction. He clenched his fists at his sides. You couldn’t hold back a smile any longer. Relief washed over Cove’s reddened face.
Y/N: You’re seriously cute. Thank you for this.
Cove: It’s nothing, really.
His eyes darted away from you. With the coral in one hand and balloon in the other, you wrapped your arms around Cove. He gasped, but wiggled his arms out from your embrace and returned the hug. You nuzzled your face into his comforting chest. Your damp hair soaked into his t-shirt. When you pulled away you grimaced apologetically at the wet spot.
Y/N: Sorry about that.
Cove: No worries, a hug from a mermaid is always welcome.
He spoke with a hint of flirtation in his voice. You appreciated that Cove was trying.
Y/N: Soooo, what did you think? Spare no details.
Cove: Uh— I think I’ll spare some details.
He looked surprised by his own words, but continued speaking.
Cove: Anyway, I enjoyed it. The tank looked awesome, and the music was nice.
You stared intently at Cove, waiting for him to mention you specifically.
Cove: I thought Gerald did a great job. He almost stole the show.
That got a booming laugh from you. You told many stories to Cove about Gerald the fish and how he lingered near you during practice.
Y/N: I’m impressed you recognized him. Almost stole the show, you say?
You raised your eyebrows at Cove, who appeared like a deer in headlights.
Cove: It was hard to keep my eyes off you.
Cove paused, forming his next sentence carefully.
Cove: Your movement was fluid and mesmerizing, like a real mermaid.
You chuckled abruptly.
Y/N: A real mermaid? You mean like you?
Cove rolled his eyes and crossed his arms conclusively, not willing to speak anymore. You weren’t letting him off the hook this easily.
Y/N: I’d like to hear more of your thoughts. What was your favorite part?
Cove: Oh, hm.
He tapped his finger on his chin, pretending to think hard about the question. His words were a soft mumble.
Cove: The bubble kiss…
Y/N: Speak louder, Cove.
Cove huffed and hugged his arms around his body tighter.
Cove: I know you heard me, Y/N.
He groaned and hung his head. You stepped closer to him, the tips of your feet touching his. You whispered.
Y/N: Did you like seeing me as a mermaid?
Cove’s radiant eyes snapped upward. You stared into them intensely. Cove powered through your scrutiny.
Cove: Of course I did!
You burst out laughing.
Y/N: I tease you too much, don't I?
Cove: Uh-huh…
You squinted at him and stuck out your tongue.
Y/N: Or maybe not enough.
Cove: Is the interrogation finished?
You feigned indignation with an exaggerated scoff.
Y/N: Well if that’s how you see it!
You grinned mischievously and bopped his nose with your finger before stepping backward.
Y/N: If you’re lucky you might get another mermaid kiss someday.
Cove bit his lip, unable to hide that he wasn't unphased by your words.
Cove: I am proud of you. I know how hard you’ve been working.
Your expression softened.
Y/N: I appreciate that, Cove.
A wave of bashfulness consumed you for a moment. Cove’s sincerity wasn’t unusual, but it felt different this time.
Y/N: I’m glad you came to watch. Even though you were kind of a distraction.
Cove looked appalled.
Cove: What?
Y/N: To be honest, it was also hard for me to look away from you.
Cove: I wasn’t doing anything, Y/N.
Y/N: You don’t have to do anything to be a distraction.
Cove was silently pensive. You decided to be explicit for the sake of his brain.
Y/N: I like you, Cove.
His mouth fell open. You refused to believe that this was a shock to him
Y/N: But you already knew that.
Cove: You— agh. Can I take you somewhere for dinner?
The subject change caught you off guard, but you didn’t want to push Cove.
Y/N: Yes.
You hooked your arm into his.
Y/N: Lead the way, landlubber!
Cove chuckled and walked with you out of the aquarium. You felt proud of your performance, and thrilled about Cove's reaction. It was fitting that the way to his heart was through a mythical sea creature. You hoped Cove would be willing to continue the conversation about your feelings during dinner.

-I guess it's kinda fitting. She's finally got closure with her family and found her real name
-I always wondered why she named herself Skye tho. Are we gonna get an explanation one day?
-I would really love a flashback to her time as a teenager or a kid or something, get her background story
-no matter what she looks stunning as ever
-I'd say it's the short hair that's making her gorgeous but she'd look good in any haircut tbh
-Bobbi!!!! It's good to see you! she's recovered from the torture of Ward!! yessss!!
-I see that they've built a new prison for inhumans lol
-With the record of Skye and prison rooms of shield I'd say at one point she's gonna end up in here just like in season 1 and 2 she ended up in shield prison room lol
-and Bobbi is calling her Daisy now
-? what?? what's going on with Hunter and Bobbi again???
-they literally went to hell and back SURELY they'll just be in love now why are they not talking YET AGAIN ugghh these two idiots
-annnd Coulson is very much me when adjusting the transition from Skye to Daisy lol imma need to adjust to the new name huh
-lolol "She's the muscle" Mack
-When did Mack and Daisy become partners?
-I love the fact that she's the one who helps inhumans like what her mom used to do
-I feel bad for this guy, his life just got turned upside down
-whatever happens, just how hot is Daisy in a tank top
-and she indeed is the muscle. She takes down this guy so easily lol
-She's so powerful I love her
-so liquid rock is called a monolith?
-Of course Fitz will try to save Simmons
-aww Bobbi doing Simmons' old job
-yes yes I'm still shipping Bobbi with Simmons lol
-So Fitz run away from shield duties to save Simmons?
-very in character
-Look at Fitz. tricking a whole lot of mob
-I'm proud of my boi
-Daisy's tanktop ma'am ugghhhh that is so distracting
-she's so hot
-Coulson's approaching this new government woman with only Hunter mmmm
-That's a risky move but he's smarter than that
-Lincoln is a whole proper doctor now? he's pretty hot in doctor suits
-This Rosaline person is the one hunting inhumans this season?
-wtf? what the hell is that thing???? It's a whole monster???
-That thing looks HUGE
-This monster thing is targeting inhumans? It just specifically asked where are the inhumans
-Mack shot him so many times and still that thing isn't dead?
-Coulson escaped lol they handcuffed a guy without a hand I knew this was coming. So predictable
-Skye+Lincoln barely make the monster guy flinch???
-What is this thing????
-oh right it's Daisy now
-I keep on typing Skye ughhh Gotta get used to it
-are Bobbi and Hunter gonna get married again or what
-I'm rooting for Hunter to kill Ward
-After what Ward did to Bobbi it's normal for them to want to have revenge. I will be rooting for them
-It's so sad to see Fitz's trouble just lead to one word "death"
-Poor Fitz
-He's not ready to give up on Jemma
-He was so close to a date with her. awww man. life is so cruel
-oh fuck no
-Fitz. Please don't do anything stupid come on now
-Never have I ever thought I'd get emotional watching a man screaming at a rock
-That was top notch acting right there good job Fitz's actor
-Simmons!!!! So glad to see she's still alive!!!! but that... doesn't look like earth
-Where is May in this episode? Is she really never coming back????
Agents of SHIELD S3E02
-what do they mean no one ever returns from the rock? Simmons has got to return right?
-Daisy's right, the team's active agents seem to be down to only Daisy and Mack?
-Bobbi is in rehab, Simmons is missing, Fitz is saving Simmons, May is gone, Hunter is going after Ward, Coulson's lost a hand
-shield is not doing so good these days.
-That makes the partner thing between Mack and Daisy more reasonable lol
-So season 3 starts months after season 2 and Fitz has been trying to save Simmons for months
-poor FitzSimmons ughh
-Seeing Bobbi and Hunter kiss makes me happy lol
-Ward. I can't say I miss him, but he makes a good villain of a story
-ahhh i remember this Asgardian dude
-He's an interesting character
-"he did it" lolol Asgardian dude has personality
-Daisy missing May awwww sooo cute
-ahhh MAY!!!!!! i miss you!! come back to the team!
-Asgardian dude proving himself to be useful! Finally, a clue to save Simmons!
-the whole bag of rats just made me jump in front of my screen holy fuck
-Yep, it is confirmed, Ward still knows how to get under my skin god damn it
-what does Ward even want anyways What's his bad guy motives this time around
-Fitz just walked into a death door without even thinking/hesitating
-what a man
-I love Fitz
-Had to agree with Skye here. The new Inhumans could turn any moment, the ATCU thing is dangerous too and this new huge monster comes out of nowhere
-annnd Skye and Mack are the only two in the field dealing with them?
-It's a LOT for two people
-Time for May to be back!
-yes! yes to May's ex husband! I love the thought of Skye as a leader!
-she's thinking like a superhero this season because she's trying to use her power to do good. I love that
-"neighborhood watch" lmao Hunter is so hilarious
-If May pair up with Hunter that'd be an interesting duo
-It's miracle how this equipment from a few hundreds of years ago still works lol
-It's almost impossible
-This thing really can control the stone??
-and this thing just made Skye pass out?????
-ahhh fuck I made the same mistake as Coulson ugghh
-It's Daisy
-damn it I'm so bad with names
-I'm loving May's time with her dad
-Gives layer to her character
-ahhhh so the frequencies control the monolith!
-Daisy's power is so versatile ahhh I love it
-She's willing to risk her life to try to open the portal for Simmons
-I hope there will be some Simmons Daisy friendship scene once they get Simmons back
-I get so oddly excited whenever Daisy uses her superpower ahhhhhh
-Did Fitz just jump through the portal?
-What the fuck a warning would be nice
-holy hell I get so nervous
-I feel like there is no way they can rescue Jemma this early in the season
-But it was heroic of Fitz and Daisy to try
-I'm rooting for Daisy to hold on soooo hard
-just a little longer DAISY!!! you can do it!!!!
-I cannot believe my eyes they actually rescued Simmons????
-In episode 2 of the season????
-LOL thank you writers for not making me wait for this drama to be dragged out
-This show has balls
-I'm so happy Simmons is back
-So May is helping Hunter right? ahh she is so pretty
-poor Simmons she's traumatized
-the way she sleeps on Fitz's leg that's so cute awww
Agents of SHIELD S3E03
-Lincoln's power is pretty cool but why are they hunting him? He didn't do anything? He was just a doctor and then a monster attacked him? what did he do?
-Poor Simmons I hope she gets better
-Daisy is soooo hot help
-she is wearing a lot of tank tops this season and I'm loving it
-Never thought I'd see punk!May. she so hot
-I wonder what happened to Simmons on that other planet?
-knowing this show it is probably gonna answer my questions in a later episode? I hope?
-FitzSimmons walking together is so cute lol
-I never get tired of hearing Bobbi and Hunter telling each other to not die
-punk!May in a tank top is sooo hot oh wow
-Mmmm so Lincoln used to have a drinking problem? He'd struggled with addiction?
-yes!!!! Daisy and Simmons scene!!!
-"You can call me whatever you want"
-yes yes I still ship them together uggh
-It's good to see Daisy and Simmons have a chat after everything
-I feel so bad for Lincoln his only friend turned on him
-and he has a heart attack??????
-poor Lincoln he never wanted this. it's not his fault. not really
-I wish the scene between Daisy and Simmons is longer but it was still sweet
-Lincoln calls saying "I need help" lol that's such a classical hero's love interest thing to do
-I feel like Bobbi is a FitzSimmons shipper lol She was helping Simmons last season and now she's helping Fitz
-Sorry to say this lol I am not impressed by half-naked Hunter
-lol these guys gonna die for sure. flirting with MAY out of all people lmaooo I legit fear for their lives
-I love this fights scene so much! kick ass May is so cool and so hot! Ma'am I'm glad you are back
-AND this line is making me ridiculously happy: "a tiny, little asian woman kicked your ass"
-ughhh fuck yeah I love May
-why is Hunter so tiny without clothes omfg
-ahhh Coulson you can't just hand over Lincoln because of a picture of Daisy
-I mean I understand him but uggghh
-I love this dialogue between Daisy and Lincoln
-I feel like their position sort of reversed compared to last season.
-Last season Lincoln helped Daisy with her powers and helped her accept herself and convinced her she's not the monster. This season seems like it's Daisy who is helping Lincoln accept himself and convince him he is not a monster.
-I feel like Lincoln and Daisy have some shared trauma
-They are definitely gonna get together this season lol
-holy fuck they are kissing now?????
-lmao I thought the writer's gonna make this pairing later in the season and bam the next minute they be kissing
-But mmm idk I feel like there are gaps in between two seasons that are not explained well
-From what I've gathered so far. Between the two seasons, there are some months where Lincoln became a doctor and Daisy became a leader for a special task force.
-Lincoln wanted nothing to do with Daisy and shield two episodes ago and now they are kissing?
-I mean it was pretty quick mmm but I guess they have some romantic foundation in season 2
-Everything moves SO fast in this damn show
-Every time I thought it's gonna be a thing that drags on and on and on and it turns out to be not a long boring drama I get a bit happier
-I don't think Daisy has kissed anyone in season 2
-the trauma of kissing Ward lolol
-Lincoln is at least a massive upgrade
-I really like how it was Daisy who closed the gap between them and kissed Lincoln. She was the one who put a hand on his neck too lol What a queen
-Coulson really turned over Lincoln when they just had their first kiss???
-ahhh good job Lincoln lol his power is enough to knock down everybody
-How did Coulson make the ATCU stand down? what did he offer her?
-I finally get the FitzSimmons romantic dinner but this is not how I wanted things to go and now it's sad
-Fitz is (understandably) eager for everything to be romantic/back to normal
-But I don't think this is a good move for Simmons' sake
-She's obviously dealing with trauma
-awww man the way Simmons is crying I feel so bad for her
-She's been through a lot and she just started to heal. I don't think she has what it takes to get involved in a romantic situation with anyone. sometimes a person is just that emotionally drained.
-She needs time to process and deal with trauma before diving into a relationship
-so I'm very glad the writers didn't make Simmons just happily date Fitz like right after getting rescued
-This keeps things real and keeps Simmons human
-WHAT????
-what is Coulson thinking?? He is working with this ATCU???
-Mack kept what he heard on comms private
-I love this scene of Daisy playing video game with Mack
-Mack is more likable this season
-what??? Simmons was so traumatized by this other planet but she still wants to go back???
-Now I have questions

The Sunspear Mermaid
Pairing: Oberyn Martell/Ellaria Sand/GN! Reader
Word Count: 2,045
Warnings: None
Permanent Taglist: @phoenixhalliwell @star-wars-hell
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The prompt for this week’s Writer Wednesday was given, as always, by the lovely @autumnleaves1991-blog, and I included a photo of the reader’s tail as well.
There were plenty of things Oberyn didn’t believe existed anymore. Dragons, mainly, but there were other things as well, creatures that had long since faded from everyday life and had become nothing more than tales parents told misbehaving children. So when a fisherman came running through Sunspear saying he’d fished up a merfolk, Oberyn assumed him insane. But Doran, who had always had an active imagination, requested the fisherman bring the merfolk to the palace. They had a pool in the palace they could keep the thing in for now.
Oberyn sighed, watching two horses pull a covered cart up a hill. He was in his room, Ellaria by his side. She peered curiously over his shoulder, resting her cheek on his bare skin. “My prince,” she said softly. “Should we not be at the pool with your brother?”
“I don’t believe in things as childish as merfolk,” Oberyn replied, turning from the window. “But you may attend if you wish.”
Ellaria nodded, shuffling into a thin robe and walking out of the room, leaving Oberyn alone with his thoughts. There was no way merfolk were actually still real, right?
————
To say you were pissed was an understatement. Trapped in a glass tank, you huffed, pounding on the sides yet again. It was a fruitless venture, but you tried anyway. How could you have been so foolish? Your mother told you that the land men were getting bolder, that they were fishing near your home and you had to be careful to steer clear of their nets. You just hadn’t expected them to come as close as they did.
Sinking to the bottom of the tank, you sulked, swaying as the water sloshed around. You hoped the land folk didn’t intend to keep you here forever. It was much too small.
Thankfully, the tank stopped swaying eventually and you felt it tip sideways slowly draining the water over the edge. You could hear it splashing into a different pool of water, and you perked up. Getting the message, you swam to the top of the tank, following the flow of water and falling into a much bigger pool of water. It was decorated with shining rocks on the bottom, the smooth colored surfaces arranged in such a way that an intricate pattern was created. Looking up, you spotted many plants above you, and some interesting architecture, but the details were lost to the rippling of the water.
Land folk began to surround the pool, and you stayed firmly on the bottom, not wanting them to have the satisfaction of seeing you. Muffled words were spoken, and you huffed, sending a stream of bubbles up to the top of the water. You continued blowing bubbles, entertaining yourself as best you could. You would explore the pool later, when you were alone. For now, you just waited.
The land folk disappeared shortly after, all wandering away and allowing you to swim around the perimeter of your new home. Some parts of the pool were covered, shadowed and secure beneath overhangs with arches and columns. You set up in one of the corners under the biggest overhang, yawning widely and wishing you were home before curling up and beginning to sleep.
It was hours before you woke again, hearing loud footsteps running through the palace. Night had taken the sun from the sky, and your only source of light was the silver of the moon. The footsteps grew, and you floated out, wanting to see what was causing the commotion.
A man was running around the pool, seemingly running from someone. He looked in both directions, seeing no way out, and dove into the pool.
You shrunk away, pressing yourself into the corner. Did he not know you were here? How could he not?
The man turned, seeing you. He let out a shout that stole the air from his lungs, and you immediately rushed forward, grabbing his face. He had facial hair that tickled your hands, but it was no concern of you as you pressed a firm kiss to his lips. He flailed, but you held him tight, pushing air from your lungs into his mouth. When you pulled away, the man swam backwards, gasping. He put a hand to his throat, surprised. He was breathing underwater.
You examined the man. He had distinctly land folk features, with brown eyes and short brown hair. His face was angular and beautiful, and you wondered if he had merfolk blood in him. He wore yellow robes that swirled around in the water, his feet bare and his robe loose. You carefully stripped him of it, letting the useless fabric float in the water. Underneath, he wore a linen shirt and simple pants.
The man tried to speak, but nothing more than bubbles left his mouth. You giggled, swimming in a smooth circle around the man. He twisted to follow you, but you were too fast, flicking the bare points of his skin with the tips of your fluke. He was entertaining, even if he did seem scared of you.
You blew bubbles in his direction, and he flinched as they harmlessly hit him. He looked at you and your curious blinking. Hesitantly, he blew a few bubbles back. Clapping, you blew a large bubble and held it in your hands, tossing it to the man. He tried to catch it, but it popped when he touched it.
A shout at the top of the pool pulled your attention away from the man. You looked up, grabbing the man and dragging him with you as you broke the water’s surface. He gasped when he hit air, and you tsked softly, using your tail to keep him above the water.
“Prince Oberyn!” A sharp voice yelled. “Are you alright?”
“Fine,” the man said, his voice strained. You knew, in that moment, he absolutely had some form of merfolk blood in his veins. His voice was silky as a siren’s and twice as enchanting, even marred by his breathlessness. “I’m fine. Stand down.”
The men around the pool relaxed, helping the man out of the pool. You watched him go, a bit disappointed. He had been fun. What had the men called him? Prince Oberyn. So he was land folk royalty. You snorted, turning to go back to your corner and spotting something in the water. Swimming towards it, you realized it was Oberyn’s robe. You grabbed it, swirling it around you and eventually deciding to put it on. It didn’t exactly fit, but the deep yellow complimented your tail well and you liked how it moved when you swam. Curling up in your corner for the night, you sighed out, snuggling down in Oberyn’s robe. You would definitely be seeing him again.
Oberyn did not visit you for a while. Other land folk came around to see you, but none of them were your mysterious land prince, and so you were uninterested.
Finally, after months, Oberyn ended up at the pool again. He had a familiar land woman on his arm, and you tipped your head at the woman and she and Oberyn walked around the pool. She was watching you, her eyes full of curiosity. She spoke to Oberyn, who looked at you and shook his head. You scowled at him, swimming to the top of the water and sending a spray up, soaking Oberyn and the woman. She laughed, waving to you as you circled slowly, watching the pair. You waved back, giving her a mischievous smile and beckoning her close.
The woman broke off of Oberyn’s arm and sat on the edge of the pool. The water was too shallow for her to get her feet wet, but you swam to the surface, floating on your back and taking a few burning breaths of air before your lungs adjusted.
“Do you have a name?” The woman asked, looking down at you.
“I do,” you said. “Do you?”
“Ellaria.”
You hummed, flicking your tail and watching the water dance across your white gold scales. “Ellaria,” you purred. “A lovely name. I’m (Y/N).”
Ellaria smiled. “This is my lover, Prince Oberyn.”
“I know,” you said. “We’ve met.”
“Oh?” Ellaria looked at Oberyn, who was standing nervously behind her. “He never told me that.”
You giggled, waving to Oberyn. “When are you going to take another late night swim?” You asked him. “I miss you.”
Ellaria laughed. “Is that where you got that robe?”
Nodding, you fiddled with the sleeve of the robe. “It’s very comfortable.”
Oberyn sighed. “I’m going back to our room,” he said, and you pouted, swimming in a frustrated circle. “What?” He looked down at you and your scrunched face. “If you have something to say, say it.”
“Why do you hate me?”
It was not what Oberyn was expecting. He was silent for a moment before sitting beside Ellaria. “I was unsure of your existence,” he finally said. “You and your kind were a fairytale to me. I am merely unsure of how to approach you.”
You nodded, holding a hand out. “Join me,” you said. “My father used to say the best way to learn is to experience.”
Ellaria stood, removing her robe and dress and sliding into the water with no hesitation. You steadied her, watching slightly as Oberyn pulled his robe off more hesitantly. He remained in his pants as he followed Ellaria, the water cradling him as he joined you two.
The first few minutes were full of patience, with you circling the land folk pair and encouraging them to swim with you. Ellaria dove first, Oberyn following. You swirled around them, urging them lower. When it seemed Ellaria was running out of air, you kissed her. Kissing her was very different from kissing Oberyn. Where she was soft and eager, he had been rough and hesitant, although you found yourself missing the scratch of his facial hair against your skin. When you pulled away, Ellaria gasped in a breath, eagerly lighting up when she realized what you had done. She beckoned Oberyn closer, tangling with him and kissing him slowly and smoothly.
The three of you played in the water for a while. After a good hour, during which the sun began to paint the sky with streaks of pink and orange, you eventually exhausted your land folk friends. You showed them how to weigh themselves down, laying across the patterned floor of the pool. Oberyn and Ellaria were pressed together, as if they were trying to become one being. You watched, almost jealous, until Ellaria summoned you close.
Unable to speak, she scooted away from Oberyn, gesturing to the space between them. You slid in, finding a comfortable spot and immediately purring as warmth surrounded you. Tiny bubbles rippled to the top of the water, and your rumbles made your two partners smile. Oberyn wrapped an arm over you, pulling you closer to his chest. Ellaria sandwiched you to him, and your purring deepened. You wanted this every day, this gentle warmth and tight embrace and feeling of pure bliss.
Eventually, someone must’ve noticed Oberyn was missing, and guards in various states of dress surrounded the pool, all shouting. You looked up, hissing slightly and tightening your grip on Ellaria’s shoulders. Oberyn smiled, kissing your cheek and floating to the top of the water. He spoke to the guards, who all nodded and dispersed quickly. Swimming back down, he embraced you and gestured to the surface. Reluctantly, you followed him as he crested the water once more.
“They want us back in our room,” Oberyn explained. “I think they thought you had kidnapped us.”
You sulked, face stuck in a pout. “I don’t want you to leave.”
“I know,” Oberyn murmured. “I’ll speak with my brother tomorrow morning. I’m sure we can find a way to get access to my room from this pool. Worry not, we will remedy this.”
He climbed out of the pool and helped a very reluctant Ellaria out as well. You waved, calling goodbye until your new lovers were out of earshot. Floating to your sleeping corner, you hummed, curling up and watching Oberyn’s robe swirl around you. Maybe being captured by the land men wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 53 - 54
Slight warning I'm very mad about this
I cannot be the only one who is so fucking pissed off about this event. Like I'm not even remotely happy nor do I give a damn that Solomon gave us another star for his sorcerer test. Like I am unbelievably upset by it. Like the entire time was just a real smack in the face for MC to adjust be toyed with. Just a list things off because I'll be here all day ranting.
Solomon literally set this up right after the trip with Luke and Mammon so MC actually hasn't even gotten more than a day of rest especially after the whole fairy thing.
Solomon brought this up as some kind of little fun game. Which is fine but I wish that he would explain why was it important or what are you even had anything to do with the test because that was just off putting to begin with. Like I'm going to trust you with all the Magics of the realm but I'm not going to tell you how playing flag tag is involved.
Then it gives you Barbatos as a partner.
MC and Barbatos hasn't even really interacted so this is like having a whole new relationship that you need to get used to. After all you don't just throw fish into a fish tank you let them sit in the water.
Solomon then gives you the Grimoire of Barbatos. Which is a really big deal it's literally the essence or the soul of the demon it about. I mean Lucifer tried to kill Luke and beat Beelzebub because Luke had happened to pick it up and then he attempted to kill MC for defending them. I think it's a big fucking deal and it's not something to be taken lightly.
Barbatos makes it really fucking clear that he doesn't like that you have it and gets in your face about it. Which is understandable but it's still kind of upsetting when you have very little relationship with this guy and now you're literally holding his very existence in your hands and whether he likes it or not he has to trust you.
Asmodeus and Barbatos runs around with you trying to collect tails. Whereas Asmodeus attempts to get you to look into Barbatos's Grimoire then tells you how powerful he is which puts more pressure on MC if they want to try and make a good relationship with him.
Asmodeus purposely leaves you with Barbatos right after this which already has somewhat of a strong tension. I don't know if it's an inferior complex or the fact that we have more information from Asmodeus about Barbatos but it's kind of odd and he pushes the fact that he really doesn't care what you feel about him nor does he care to really even get to know you.
Then they make some kind of weird strip show out of Lucifer which being a Lucifer stand or not was kind of weird. But considering Asmodeus is the Avatar lust and likes to rile his brothers up. Plus with Barbatos whatever he finds out to tell Diavolo which is entertainment for the Young Prince is a bonus for him.
Then when MC finally has a moment to relax with Asmodeus and Barbatos and try to figure out what's the whole point of this stupid game. They literally stabbed MC's in the back and then laughing your face.
Solomon pulls himself out of some rabbits ass just to laugh at MC. They blatantly make fun of MC for trusting them at all when the whole point of the fucking game was your supposed to trust them they were on your team. Those two blankly fucking betrayed MC.
Asmodeus took a fucking photo of the moment MC was betrayed excited to put it on devilgram all while also laughing. Which is just a special dick move on his part because I hope he enjoys all those fucking likes on Devilgram because frankly if I was in MCs spot, I would not even remotely entertaining this.
Barbatos then tells you that it doesn't matter because the Grimoire was fake. Which is basically I'm glad that I've made you so uncomfortable, threatened you and put on necessary pressure just so Solomon can say he can now trust you fully.
Then when MC get upset they tell MC to just come down because now you get a new star for your stupid sorcerer test.
And MC is just fucking accepting it like MC was all happy that they got a new star. Like just completely ignoring the fact that these three assholes toyed with them made MC look like a damn fool while they're giggling like a bunch of schoolgirls over there petty ass fucking secret only the reveal the true test all of taking the piss out of MC.
I'm sorry but I've lost all respect I had for Barbatos. I already have very little trust in Solomon which is now in the negatives. Asmodeus finally showed what a two-faced little bitch he is to MC, I was honestly waiting for it because their whole relationship seems rocky to begin with.
I personally would have screamed at those three. They pushed one too many fucking buttons for my liking. I don't even care what the fucking lesson was or how it's supposed to help MC in the sorcerer test because those boys played way too much. I'm boiling over that I had to walk away from my phone because I was ready to throw it. I wish I could change their group title in their text message squad to the 3 bitches.

Request!!!
Hey you guys! Some of y’all have sent in requests which I am really flattered that you enjoy my writing and I am honestly SO excited to do these!  here is the first one that someone gave me and I really hope you enjoy it!!!  Also if you sent one and I haven’t responded, know that I have seen it, it just will not allow me to message you privately about it just publicly.  Anyway here is the first for @welcome-to-americanawritings !  I crossed some of it out so there wouldn’t be any spoilers for those who don’t know what it is about.

I love you, I hate you- Part 1
“Babe wake up,” I feel my sexy boyfriend nudge me speaking in his smooth English voice, “It’s time to start the day,”
My eyes slowly open and I yawn tired, “uhhh it’s 9am can’t we sleep in a little longer?” I groan.
“Get up y/n, the lost boys have already begun getting breakfast together I let you sleep in an extra hour,” he tells me a bit more serious.
“Come ere,” I tell him and he sits close to me as I start sitting up. I roll on top of him and start kissing him.
“Y/n, stop it we have to get going,” he tells me but I continue.
“Come on it doesn’t have to be long, you know you want it,” I tell him as I continue.
I feel his body start giving into it and move my hand down to his cock and begin stroking it slowly, “Okay just 10 minutes though,” he tells me.
He starts kissing me back as his dick hardens in my hand and he rolls on top me as our skin tangles.  He starts taking his pants off and I lift up my night gown and take my panties off.  I feel his hand on my pussy as he rubs it and I can tell we want each other.  Our physical chemistry is always the best.  I feel him put his large hard dick inside me and he begins kissing my neck as I lay my cheek on the pillow.  He thrusts harder each time and I can tell we are both starting to get close.  After a thrust he cums in me and I do it with him both of us moaning.
“Do we have to go out?  We could just do more of that all day” I smirk hugging him.
“Y/n, everyone has to do there part and that includes you,” he tells me.
“I’m your girlfriend, that should give me some ability to not follow everything that is supposed to happen? Besides the obvious that comes with being yours in physical and romantic ways of course,” I ask and bat my eyes.
“You get special treatment all the time,” he tells me and I sigh knowing he is right.
I get up and change into gray leggings and a green tank top and boots and go out to where all the lost boys are.
They all have already helped themselves but it’s fine because at least they aren’t rude about me not preparing it all. I get a plate and help myself to what I want. I sit next to Lee who was one of the newest lost boys here on the island that lots of the guys have been avoiding so I’ve been trying to make him feel more welcome. I smile and ask him how he is with adjusting and everything.
After we are done eating I help clean up. It’s the least I can do since I didn’t help in the morning.
Afterwards Pan announces that we will be doing target practice.  What this is is practice shooting arrows which is pretty straight forward.  If we want to take it up a notch we can put apples on our heads and have someone shoot it.  We all grab our apple and dip the tip of our arrows in dream shade which is this deadly black liquid that’s found inside thorns of these bushes.  It is insane how quick it can take a life.
I start shooting and hit the apple each time.  A couple times I’m a little off but nothing too bad.  I get bored working alone and start asking others if we can do it the “funner way” as I call it.  Shooting it off the others head.  I know it shouldn’t be more fun but something about risking a life like that is so exhilarating. It’s an extremely adrenaline rush.
A couple people agree who I trust and know are skilled because it would be horrible if someone went just an inch or two lower.  Lee comes over and asks if he can join but we tell him it is too advance for him which is true.  He literally came here knowing nothing about survival instincts.  He never has gone camping or fishing or hunting we are teaching him it all.  Mostly me because none of the other guys are willing to help out.  I feel like I’m mothering him in the ways of Neverland.
I peek over and see him not being able to hit a single apple.  I go over, “You’re gripping the bow too tight,” I critique as I examine his form, “Also you can’t stand like that,” I tell him with his legs pressed together, “You need more of a stance, put your dominant foot in front and non dominant foot a step back.  That’s what I do at least,” I share and watch him readjust himself.
“Th-thanks y/n, it might help more if you show me,” he tells me.  I nod and come up behind him and grab his tight fist and tell him to relax his hand and then I slowly squeeze his to the point he needs and move his feet around kicking them with my foot.  I step back and he tries again and succeeds.
“There you go,” I tell him.
“Thanks y/n, you’re really helpful,” he blushes.
“Anytime,” I smile softly and walk away.
We finish up target practice and as most days we just hang out doing whatever we want. I choose to go to mermaid lagoon to hang out with my friends there. As gentle and sweet as the name sounds it really isn’t. The water is a dark blue and there’s a lot of large dark mossy rocks and not a whole lot of light shines through. I’ve swam in it before and When I tried going to the bottom it lit up this bright glimmery light blue which freaked me out with how much it contrasted the above and I never went in again since. The merpeople are great but the place gives me the creeps a little.
“Y/n!” This mermaid Selena exclaims and swims over to me. She’s always so enthusiastic I love her energy.
Soon a lot of the mermaids swim over to me greeting me, “Hey you guys!” I say.
We start chatting talking about the latest gossip and I tell them about what’s new on my side, “Yeah there’s this new guy who came here last week, Lee. Poor thing he doesn’t know the slightest thing. He’s been needing my help teaching him everything,” I share, “He’s too afraid to ask the others for instruction. I tell them about this morning.
They all start to give me smirks as if there’s something that’s not being said, “Oh honey don’t you see? He likes you!” Alice says.
“Lee? Like me? You’re lying. Anyway I’m happily in a relationship,” I tell them.
“Does Lee know that?” Gwen asks.
“I mean… he should. I haven’t said anything about it to him but that doesn’t mean someone else hasn’t said it. I mean who would want to have Pan so infuriated by hitting or making a move on me?” I comment. They all nod agreeing with me.
“Just watch for the signs,” Selena tells me.
We talk for a while longer and then I head my own way.
I go back to camp where most people are hanging out and I join in. I go and hangout with all the other guys fucking around and doing stupid shit. It gets later and darker and I haven’t seen Pan at all since the morning.
“Has anyone seen Pan today?” I ask. Everyone says no, “I’m gonna go look for him,” I look around. I go in his cave and in his tent he does business in. He isn’t in either of the places. I go in the woods with a flashlight and head to his thinking tree, he goes there when he has to be alone but of course I would never step foot close. No one would. “Pan? Are you out here?” I shout. It’s deadly quiet. I know it means nothing but still I’m really freaked out. I head on back fearing something will come get me for no reason. I know he’s a big boy and can take care of himself though. He would tell me if he were going somewhere so I’m not worried.
I head on back to camp and hang with everyone again drinking and they start playing games with all the alcohol but I know if I have too much I regret it because of stuff that I’ll do or say that is not intentional. Of course no one here knows that because I have been drunk around them yet. I always drink to the point I feel it and then stop.
I watch as everyone else gets wasted making fools of themselves and I wobble off to bed making a somewhat discreet exit as usual. Pan still isn’t there and I start to get worried.
The next day I wake up on time putting on some clothes and yawn exhausted as I stand next to each of the other boys on the end. I hadn’t seen Pan since last morning which is really weird and starting to worry me. Felix comes around and stands in front of us to give orders.
“Where’s Pan?” Someone asks before Felix can open his mouth.
“He has business to attend to. He left last morning and will be back today sometime,” he tells all of us in his flat voice. I swear Felix tries to say as little as possible about everything, he’s so ominous it’s annoying, “Now are we going to talk about Pan or let me say what to do to prepare for breakfast,” half of us roll our eyes.
He sets us off in groups, “Lee, y/n, you two are picking berries,” he tells us plainly as he gives us orders. I get a bit uncomfortable after the mermaids told me about what there thoughts on it all was.
I go over to Felix as everyone disperses, “Is there anyway I could not work with Lee? He’s cool and all it’s just I could use a break from the new guy,” I explain avoiding the real reasoning for how I don’t want to seem like I’m leading him on.
He stares at me with expressionless eyes, “Y/n you have been the only one willing to deal with him. He is not good at anything which is why he has the easiest task there is. No one has patience like you for these sort of things,” he gets stern with me.
“Lee come on let’s go,” I tell him wanting nothing more than to see Pan and hug him. I need to see someone I love right now. I just don’t get why he didn’t tell me he was going on a trip.
He follows me into the woods and I show him where the berries are and which ones are good to eat and which are not. He stays really close the whole time and the awkwardness is kicking in. I watch him do it himself and we head back.
“Hey y/n. Can I ask you something?” He asks me not making anymore distance between us as I inch away some.
“Go ahead what is it?” I answer.
“Why do none of the other lost boys want to be around me? Is it because I’m new or something?” He asks and I don’t know what to say. If I were to be honest and say how he doesn’t know shit about survival instincts that would hurt his feelings terribly. And I’m too nice for that.
“It’s not that they don’t want to be around you. It just takes a while to find your place when you first get to this island. I was the same way but I impressed everyone by-“
“Y/n! Watch out!” Lee pulls me hard to the side by my waist as an arrow shoots through the trees.
I feel weird having his hands there noticing another sign as I was told to lookout for as he doesn’t move them, “Do you mind moving your hands?” I ask. Once they are lowered the awkwardness still lingers on my end but I try to look past it. I lean out and see two guys squatting in a tree with bows, “Really you guys?! You almost killed us!” I yell angry.
“Your bleeding!” One of them shouts and then they duck and head out.
I look and feel a pain in my upper arm and see it got nicked. Luckily they forgot to dip it in dreamshade.
“Ugh! This is a WONDERFUL start to the day!” I exclaim irritated.
“You really should soak that. There’s a river right where the berry bush was,” Lee tells me.
I roll my eyes, “I’m fine I can wrap a bandage just fine when we get back,” I huff and storm back to camp pissed off not paying attention to if Lee is keeping up with me or not.
When I get back I go to the medical hut where there really isn’t much besides bandages. I force my chin down on one half of my forearm as I get the wrap started. I wrap it tighter than I should that my skin squeezes out more than it probably should.
I come out and see that everything is getting started. Knowing Pan comes back today is the only thing that is getting me through. It’s just the annoying anticipation of when he will be here.
Everything gets gathered together and we eat. I hangout with Felix.
“It must be hard, Pan being gone,” he tells me.
“It’s only been a night Felix, I can survive without him, I did all those years leading up to now. I just wish he would have told me why,” I say sighing after the last part.
“I might know why,” he says quietly,“Im not sure why he’s there during the daytime but for the evening I know he’s been wanting to see this girl from London, her name is Wendy,”

Roman glanced in his rearview mirror and smiled at his sons, one out cold in his car seat and the other excitedly staring back at him from his booster seat. Roman smiled at his older son, Patton, and turned his eyes to the road once more.
“Excited to see Papa?” Roman guessed, smile coiling into a teasing smirk.
Logan didn’t know his family was coming, but Roman knew their intrusion on his workday would be forgiven. His husband could only hold a grudge for so long and it never lasted long when Patton broke out his puppy eyes. Even if it somehow did, Roman had their secret weapon napping in the backseat. A sleepy Virgil wanting his Papa couldn’t be resisted, no matter how recently he had joined their family.
It wasn’t in their plan to adopt a second child, but neither regretted accepting his initial placement with them. And now, Roman couldn’t imagine their lives without their sons.
“Mhm!” Patton exclaimed. “Gonna see Papa working!”
Roman chuckled and turned on his blinker to change into the exit lane. He checked the rearview mirror to ensure Virgil was still asleep and not disturbed by his brother’s excitement. To his relief, the baby slept soundly. Virgil didn’t like being abruptly woken up and would cry nonstop if he were. Roman’s heart couldn’t take seeing those eyes filled with tears.
“We are! And maybe we’ll get lunch with Papa too. He said he wasn’t busy today,” Roman told Patton as he navigated the rest of the way to the university.
Roman was sure Patton would appreciate being able to eat lunch with both of his dads today. The two were going out on a date for dinner and wouldn’t return home until after his uncles had tucked him into bed. Though perhaps Patton would enjoy an evening with Remus and Janus while his fathers were away.
“So, we’re not gonna see his fishies?” Patton pouted.
Roman smiled sympathetically, “I’m sure Papa will let you see them when we get to his office.”
The first time Patton had gone to Logan’s office at the university, he had fallen in love with the large tank Logan kept in his office. Whenever he went to visit, he made sure to say hello to the fish. Roman found Patton’s commitment to making the fish happy endearing.
“Make sure to bat those big old eyes at Papa and he definitely will,” he promised.
“Okay, Daddy!” Patton agreed.
When Roman pulled into the university, he followed the direction signs to the staff parking outside of the building Logan worked with. Logan alternated cars he drove to work, due to weather mostly, so both of their vehicles had valid parking stickers. It made visits easier because Roman didn’t need to worry about paying for their spot while handling both boys on his own.
Roman smiled when he spotted the car Logan drove to work in that day. He parked a few spots away from the car and got out to help Patton out of his booster seat. Patton took his hand and patiently walked with him as he rounded the car to get Virgil.
“Can I carry the bag, Daddy?” Patton asked.
Roman smiled and nodded his head, allowing Patton to pick it up, “Just tell me if it’s too heavy. If it is, I’ll take it until we get to Papa.”
Roman leaned in and started to undo the buckles on Virgil’s car seat. The young boy opened his eyes with a whine and reached his arms up.
“You want to be carried, little guy? Okay, Daddy’s gotcha.”
Roman hefted the nine-month-old into his arms, where Virgil settled back in and rested his head on Roman’s shoulder. Virgil had woken up a bit early from his nap today, which was probably why he fell asleep in the car.
Roman reached down with his free arm and gently took Patton’s hand.
“Let’s go see Papa, yeah?”
“Mhm!”
Roman walked his sons to the building and smiled at the student who held the door open for them. Patton cheerfully thanked her and told her he was going to see his Papa. The student smiled and they continued their walk.
Patton walked at Roman’s side happily, adjusting the diaper bag every now and again. Roman thought that it might be too heavy for him, but Patton never said a word until they were outside of the office. Patton set down the bag with a huff and knocked at the door.
“Paaaaapaaaaa!” he called. “It’s Patty!”
The door opened after a moment and Logan stepped out, a mug of coffee in his hand. He gave Roman a quick amused look and set down his coffee on the table near the door to crouch down and hug his son.
“Salutations, Patton. Did Daddy bring you here?”
“He did! He did!” Patton cheered. “Brought Virgie too but he’s tired!”
Logan looked up from the hug to Roman and Virgil. Roman glanced down to see Virgil’s eyes had shut again.
“Someone skip his nap today?” Logan asked.
“Half of it, Starlight,” Roman answered. “I tried to get him to go back down but he wouldn’t until we were already in the car on the way here. An hour later.”
“Sounds about right,” Logan sighed, standing so that he could pick up their older son. “That’s the fourth time this week?”
“Counting bedtime, I think.”
Patton wrapped his arms around Logan and squeezed happily. Logan adjusted his hold on his son and smiled as Patton settled into his arms. He carried him into the office and sat in the chair behind his desk, next to the fish tank. Patton gasped and waved at the fish.
“Hi, fishies!”
Roman and Logan smiled at the greeting as Roman settled into one of the chairs on the opposite side of Logan’s desk.
“Did you get more fishies?” Patton asked, pointing at the tank. “The black one is new!”
Logan nodded, “Good observation, Patton. I have. The black fish belonged to a student who graduated last semester and couldn’t take the fish on their flight home.”
Patton pouted, “They couldn’t take their fish? Won’t the fish miss them?”
“Maybe, but he also has many new friends in the tank,” Logan promised softly.
Patton smiled, seemingly satisfied with the answer provided.
“Papa wouldn’t let the fish get lonely, Patton,” Roman added. “He’ll make sure they have a good home here.”
“Like Virgie and me?”
Roman smiled, “Just like that, Patty.”
“Papa’s the best,” Patton concluded.
“Daddy helps,” Logan looked across the desk to Roman fondly.
-
Roman fixed his hair in the bathroom mirror, straining his ear to listen for the sound of the doorbell. If it were his twin coming alone, he would be listening for the door to open, but he found that Janus preferred to ring the bell rather than walk right in. Roman appreciated the gesture, especially with two young children in the house.
The doorbell rang and Roman put down his comb.
“I’ve got it,” he called out to Logan, so he could continue getting ready for their evening.
He exited the bathroom and scooped up Patton as the young boy made a beeline for the door. Patton giggled and Roman poked his nose.
“What did Daddy say about answering the door, Pattycake?” he asked gently.
“Only do it with you,” the little boy answered. “Annnnd you’re right here!”
“I guess I am.”
Roman smiled at his son’s cleverness and set him down when they arrived at the door. He motioned for Patton to open the door and Patton swung the door open enthusiastically.
“Uncle Remus! Uncle Janny!”
“Hey, Squirt!” Remus exclaimed, stepping inside.
Roman wasn’t surprised to see Janus dressed in a suit, knowing he had come from the courthouse; just as he wasn’t surprised to see Remus in ripped up jeans and a t-shirt, both splattered in old and new dried paint stains.
“I’d better not find any paint stains on my couch, Rem.”
Remus grinned at his brother, “Don’t worry, Princey Poo, I’ve been done painting since before Jan got out of work.”
“I would’ve made him change if it were wet paint,” Janus promised.
“Thank you, Janus,” Roman said. “I’m just finishing getting ready and then I can run you through Virgil’s bedtime routine. I think Logan’s written it down somewhere though.”
Logan rounded the corner from their living room to the entryway with Virgil in his arms. He looked ready for the evening and Roman suspected he was soaking in a few more minutes with Virgil before they let Janus and Remus watch the boys for the evening.
“It’s on the kitchen counter,” Logan informed them. “I can show them what to do, this way I can get Virgil warmed up to them before we leave.”
Roman nodded, knowing that Virgil took time to get used to new people. It would be best that he felt more comfortable around his uncles before Roman and Logan walked out the door or the evening would be a nightmare for his uncles. It wasn’t that Roman thought Janus and Remus were strange, but he knew Virgil took a few weeks to like Logan too since he left the house to work daily when Virgil first came home with them.
“He’s met us before,” Remus said.
“He’s a baby, dear,” Janus reminded softly. “He’ll be used to us in no time. A few more visits perhaps.”
Roman smiled and took the opportunity to slip away from the door to continue getting ready. It would only take a few minutes to put on his deep crimson dress shirt and pick his cologne for the evening. Perhaps he would go with the cedar one, he knew Logan liked cologne a lot.
“Oh! Papa! Can I smell pretty too?” Patton stuck his head into the bathroom.
Roman smiled, spraying himself with the cologne, “Alright. But only if you promise to still take a bath tonight. Uncle Remus is running a bubble bath for you.”
Patton’s eyes lit up at the promise of a bubble bath and nodded his head, “Yes, please!”
Roman sprayed Patton lightly with the cologne and Patton sniffed his shirt to make sure he could smell it.
“Just like Daddy?” Roman asked.
“Mhm! Thank you!”
With that Patton ran out of the bath and in the distance, Roman heard his son shouting that he wanted to play with Janus. Normally Roman would correct this shouting, but for tonight he would let it go. Janus was working a high-end case and hadn’t been over to see Patton lately.
Roman checked his appearance in the mirror and adjusted the collar of his shirt. He smirked at his reflection and stepped out of the bathroom.
“Logan? Are you still ready?” he called.
Logan called back, voice trailing down the stairs from Virgil’s bedroom, “In a moment, Love.”
Roman went to the coat closet and selected his brown leather jacket to wear later in the evening when it would be colder. He grabbed his dress shoes and slipped them on, before sitting down on the loveseat to wait for his family to come back down the stairs.
It only took a few minutes for them to come down. Roman grinned when he noticed Virgil was in Remus’ arms, relieved and joyful to see Virgil warming up to his twin.
“Virgil likes his Uncle Remus?”
“He does!” Remus affirmed.
“Or he thinks you’re his Dad?” Janus teased, slipping past him with Patton.
Patton ran to the toy chest in the living room and started pulling out different toys. He offered Janus the rubber snake, knowing he preferred to use that toy. Roman knew Patton would be fine for the evening.
Virgil stretched his arms and looked up from Remus’ shoulder, drawing Roman’s attention away from Patton and Janus.
Virgil looked from Remus to Roman with wide eyes, “Dah?”
Roman snorted quietly and walked over, “Hi, Virgie, it’s Daddy.”
“Dah!” Virgil held his arms out.
Janus snickered from the couch as Virgil was transferred from Remus to Roman. Roman hugged Virgil close and gave Remus a sympathetic smile. He pressed a kiss to the top of Virgil’s head and rocked him back and forth.
“Virgil, this is your Uncle Remus. He’s my brother like Patty is yours,” Roman spoke softly. “He’s going to watch you, yeah?”
Virgil glanced up and hesitantly held out his arms to Remus again. Remus took him with care and allowed Virgil to settle back in.
“Finger painting okay?” Remus asked.
Roman nodded, “As long as you remember to clean him up.”
Roman trusted his brother not to paint anything too scary around the boys, despite knowing what his paintings looked like. Remus may not have cared when they were younger and constantly tried to scare Roman and his friends with his creations, but he had never done that with Patton.
“It’s bubble bath night,” Remus promised.
“Which is waiting on the counter for you, next to towels and a set of pajamas for both Patton and Virgil,” Logan said as he descended the stairs.
“Perfect!” Remus exclaimed. “Now, you two lovebugs get out of here!”
“We will, we will,” Roman promised.
Roman leaned in and kissed Virgil’s head again and looked to Patton in the living room, “Daddy and Papa are going now, Patty. You going to be okay?”
“Mhm! Buh bye!”
“No kisses? You won’t see us until tomorrow,” Logan added, knowing Patton would realize it later and become upset.
Patton gasped and set down the stuffed puppy he had, choosing to run over and quickly kiss both of his fathers.
“Have fun, we’ll call if we need help,” Janus stood from where he sat on the floor, stretching out. “Though I think we’ve got this.”
And finally, Logan and Roman were out the door.
-
Roman checked his phone after the waiter walked away from taking their orders. Logan reached across the table and gently lowered Roman’s phone.
“I am sure they are okay,” Logan assured him, offering a small smile. “Even if they weren’t, your phone’s volume is on, we would hear if they called.”
“You’re right,” Roman put the phone down.
Roman couldn’t help but feel nervous about leaving Virgil with a babysitter for the first time. He trusted Janus and Remus greatly, enough to leave them alone with his sons. But they hadn’t left Virgil with someone else since they brought him home.
Logan stroked Roman’s hand with his thumb and brought it to his lips for a brief kiss, “Janus and Remus are very capable. And you need a night to relax. You’re home with those boys all day.”
“Only because I can write from home,” Roman blushed at the feeling of Logan’s lips brushing against his knuckles.
“Meaning you care for them and still manage to find time for your novels, it’s very impressive, Love. And you deserve more breaks,” Logan spoke softly.
Roman looked up and met Logan’s hazel eyes, which were filled with adoration. Roman squeezed Logan’s hand and sighed happily. It had been a while since they went anywhere without either of the kids. He loved his sons but hadn’t realized how much he missed having time alone with Logan that wasn’t the moments before they fell asleep at night.
The waiter came by with their drinks and the mozzarella sticks Roman had talked Logan into. On the promise that he had a lactose tablet in his wallet that he could take before eating any. He looked to Logan and pouted before letting go of Logan’s hand to take out the tablet. He chewed it quickly and Logan smiled.
“Thank you for taking that, I do not like risking your health, even if it is something minor like a stomachache.”
Roman picked up a mozzarella stick and dipped it in the sauce, “You’re welcome, Lo… I wouldn’t worry you like that.”
“Oh, I believe you have before,” Logan teased, taking one himself.
“I didn’t want anything to ruin our time together tonight.”
Roman ate his mozzarella stick and grimaced at the leftover taste from the tablet. It was meant to taste like vanilla, and it sort of did, yet wrong. He swallowed and grabbed his lemon water to wash the taste out of his mouth.
“I hate the aftertaste of those things,” he whined.
“And the taste is already gone?” Logan asked.
“… It is…”
Roman reached for another mozzarella stick and took a small bite to test the taste. He found no hint of the taste or the grainy particles often left behind. He finished the stick and wiped his hands off on the cloth napkin supplied by the restaurant. When he was sure his hands were clean, he reached out to hold Logan’s hand again, at least until their meals arrived.
“I love you,” Roman whispered.
“I love you too,” Logan murmured back.
Their meals arrived and Logan thanked the waiter, briefly tearing himself away from Roman to do so. They let go of each other’s hands and ate their meals. Roman listened as Logan described the latest research from his chemistry lab. He didn’t care much for chemistry but loved the passion in Logan’s eyes when he talked about it.
By the end of the dinner, Roman was entirely lost but his confusion was worth it. He leaned around the table and kissed Logan on the cheek.
“Ready to go home?” Roman asked.
“I am. When our waiter comes back with my card, we’ll go… Perhaps go to the park first? The boys are already in bed.”
Roman smiled.
-
Roman and Logan were sat down at a bench in the park, leaning against one another. Logan shivered at a cold breeze as it blew by.
“Forget your jacket?” Roman teased. He shrugged off his leather jacket and put it around Logan’s shoulders, “Here you go. Can’t have my husband going cold.”
“Thank you, are you sure you don’t need it?”
“If I get cold, I suppose you’ll have to warm me up yourself.”
Logan snorted back a laugh as Roman wiggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner. He leaned forward and placed a hand on Roman’s cheek. Roman shivered under the chilling touch.
“Well… I do suppose I have to warm you up now, don’t I?” Logan teased.
“I guess you do.”
Logan moved forward and brought their lips together, moving to wrap his arms around Roman. Roman slipped his arms around Logan’s neck and kissed him again.
“I love you,” Logan whispered into the kiss.
“And I, you.”

Starry eyes
Chapter 1
6:26 pm
The semester had already started and you had no idea why you felt so behind already. You knew it would be hard but never thought it’d be THIS hard. You were still adjusting to the (new) uni life - classes to attend which never seemed to end, coffee soon becoming your companion for life, friends inviting you to too many drinking parties (“this new place in Little Italy just opened up, and the drinks they serve for uper- aperitiv- whatever, they’re the best!”). It already felt too much for you, even if this wasn’t actually new for you.
Although this was your first year as an art major, with a minor in sociology, you weren’t exactly a freshman. Actually, you were even older than most of your colleagues. When you had first enrolled in uni, you chose to attend an Economics program, hoping it would make your mom happy. “Make the most sensible choice!”, she had told you, even though it seemed it was a choice that sounded the most sensible to her.
Being very young and insecure, you didn’t really feel like going against her and choosing what you actually liked doing. You had even fancied the idea of taking a gap year, but the mere thought of telling your mom you’d be taking a break sounded in your head more menacing than being held at a gunpoint. You knew you’d feel guilty if you had chosen to pursue your path, especially considering how expensive it is to attend college.
Things, however, soon started to get bad: skipping classes became a habit for you, and you’d rather spend your time drinking and smoking with friends than to attend your Microeconomics class, even if your professor was actually nice and not the typical douche. You didn’t even notice it at first, how hard you tried to escape your feelings and admit to your mom - and to yourself, first - that it wasn't the right path for you. But eventually, the smell of cheap alcohol and low quality cigarettes gave her a hint of what was actually going on.
You didn’t know how you had gathered up the courage to tell her how things really were. How you actually tried your best to make it work, but it just wasn't suited for you, Heck, you even despised the idea of having to deal with money - especially, other people’s money. It made you sick in the stomach and feel like you were contributing somehow to capitalism (which, of course, you weren’t really a fan of). You wanted to be free, to feel free, at least for once. And that meant being honest to your mom, and yourself.
A few months later, you found yourself in the college library, working on your presentation for your History of contemporary art class. You couldn’t understand why your professor - a non binary black folk with dreads who wore birkenstocks even in the freezing cold (you had no idea why they did that, but oh well) - decided to make you do a presentation when you weren't even halfway through the whole class, let alone the semester. To you, having to study the whole syllabus at once right before the final test sounded way better (so you could actually procrastinate, but this is a story for another day), but you were just a student, a small fish in a tank with bigger ones.
You were finishing up this PPT on Basquiat, when your friend suddenly appeared out of nowhere. You were sitting right beside the big, white windows that made sure the sun would light the whole place beautifully. Frankly, that was your favorite place on campus, if not in the entire world. You had spent so many nights there, crying your eyes out when you couldn’t let your words out - the ones that would probably make your mom angry, but make you feel so much better.
The typical quietness of such a place was soon being interrupted by your friend, who ran to you as soon as they found you. “Hey, finally I found you!!!”, they screamed while running to you. Startled, you looked up from your laptop screen only to find your friend running to you. They were the only person you had actually managed to become friends with during your brief time as an Economics major. You had no idea why, or how, you were still being friends - you didn’t really have much in common, but it was nice to have someone who knows you on campus.
“I tried to reach you but you didn’t reply to my messages, or phone calls. I almost got worried!!”
“You could try harder so you could actually be completely worried for me, not just almost”, you replied half jokingly. Your friend made an annoyed expression at your sarcastic remark, before adding: “I was looking for you on the entire campus. I wanted to ask you to come to the soccer game with me, but I couldn’t reach you, so I went there but I couldn't find you either. I tried looking for you but there were too many people. That’s definitely the Yunho factor!”, they ended with a small laugh.
“The Yunho factor?”
“Yeah, Yunho’s in the team! He's an amazing player. not to mention, he looks really cute, but that just might be because i love everybody”, they replied amusedly.
“That's amazing but… who is this Yunho, exactly?”
“YOU DON’T KNOW WHO YUNHO IS?!!?”, your friend screamed while jumping on their feet. If the first scream wasn't enough to make everybody side-eye them, this one was definitely a second strike to be kicked out of the library indefinitely.
“Sit down and lower your voice! Do you want to be expelled from campus?”, you whisper-yelled, making them sit down. “and by the way, is this some Necessary Information i need to know to be considered cool?”, you continued jokingly, laughing at yourself.
Your friend scoffed. “He’s simply the most popular guy here on campus, and the best player at every game on earth! Not to mention he’s actually very handsome, tall, and is friendly to everyone… the whole package! how come you don’t know him? He’s in his third year of college, and you’re not really a freshman here!”. They sighed, while you wondered why a tall guy like Yunho hadn’t joined the basketball team. Or maybe he had, you had no idea and you didn’t care much.
“I didn't know of the game and I don't know of this yunho. Can you please go now? I need to keep working on this presentation.”
They scoffed. “Alright, I'll leave you alone. good luck on your medieval art project!”, they yelled while leaving the library, earning another round of nasty looks from the other students in the library
“It’s a con… never mind”, you said, almost  to yourself.
8:34 am
You didn’t know how you managed to get up early and get ready for class in time but you did. Working on this presentation took longer than expected, but you had managed to almost finish it. you just had to revise it and then it was done.
You were walking down the hallway when suddenly, you heard people whisper. Actually, lots of whispering. You looked up from your smartphone where you were looking at the newly released pics of this new group you had just gotten into, when you saw people whisper-talking to themselves. You couldn't understand why at first, but soon you realized why: a tall, handsome guy with blonde-pinkish hair was walking down the hallway, direction opposite to yours. He wasn’t handsome - yes, he was, but most of all, he was… pretty.
You had never seen such a face before: his gracious features were being framed by his beautiful blonde hair, with a subtle pink hue. it looked so natural you actually wanted to ask him to give you the address of his hairdresser. His sparkly eyes gave off a genuine, good natured vibes - they looked like the gateway to his precious, yet hidden world where nobody is allowed. a place only he knew, and that you found yourself to want to explore.
You didn't know yet, but you had just met Yunho.
